  1. Do Not Use This Website Scam!!

The 5star reviews are done by their accomplices it’s a SCAM! DO NOT BE FOOLED! The 1st attempt to reach ANYBODY/SOMEONE at this awful place was to send an email, by charging you a $30-$40 reserve fee; Yeah, I’ll probably never see that again. Next, I got an e-mail, no call. How hard is it to pick up a phone and call the client, YOU ARE wanting MY $$. So, the email states I need to contact this Mark’s Moving & Labor (Mark Wheatle) BIG MISTAKE! WOW, when did I become a secretary? This Mark request pictures, of the stairs because he needs to know, if he needs to stack on more $$ for an additional guy to do the job; I mean, I placed my additional information into the area/section: “Tell us a little about your move so we can get you the help you need” I stated exactly how many stairs and we have heavy items to UNLOAD! How illiterate must you be to not understand, a simple structure of a sentence. “Uh, heavy items, go up-stairs in apartment/house.”Shouldn’t this part be easy? Example: “Time? @9am, how many people needed? 3 strong people, Cost? $175.00+Tip, keep in mind our schedule UNLOAD was 9am ON A SATURDAY, thus giving him a 3.5 hr window to find someone else (if needed). So, this Mark Wheatle, strings us along all day w/ this so called ‘emergency’, with no follow up! I re-text this person 4 times (8am, 11am, 2pm, 4pm), asking if he found anyone? Well, it is 4:30pm on a Saturday and this Mark has still not text us back w/an update. YOU are running a place of business. If I gave my superiors this similar interaction by never following up, I would be reprimanded for not having a solution of someone taking over my workload, for the day. I can hope my review save some other homeowner or customer steer clear of this movinghelpcenter.com – they ONLY want to ROB YOU!

  2. Moving helpers.

Please, please do not use this company!! We reserved them for a move in June and they never showed up! Not only did they not show up but we received our cc bill yesterday and they had charged us almost $300. This company is a RIP OFF!! Please save your money and aggravation. DO NOT USE!! I can promise you that you will regret it!!

If I could give negative stars I would!

  3. Items Stolen.

During my move that I hired through Moving Help Center my husbands Xbox was stolen. We have been attempting to have this resolved through the mover and Moving Help Center and I have heard nothing. I have called moving help center over 10 times in the past 2 days and always go to voicemail, when I leave a voicemail I do not get a callback. I have even attempted to chat with them through their site and nothing. Do not use them or the companies they work with, they are scammers.

  4. Confirmed the day before, no show the day of.

Not only did they completely flake on us (September 2019) they refused to answer the phone and would only send generic emails to our pleas to get help. Lousy company.

  5. No communication, movers didn't show, calls go to voicemail.

If you want movers who are reliable and communicate with you, by all means do not contact this company. I had a truck waiting for the movers to load at 2pm and they called at 2 and said they could not make it till 3pm, which was not going to work since the truck had to arrive at the other destination by 5. I called many times and it constantly went to voicemail. I have emailed them to try and set it up the following day..no response. Sent an email to cancel and be refunded the deposit and no response. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

  6. Moving Help Center is not Movinghelp.com.

Moving Help Center and Movinghelp.com are two separate companies - neither have anything to do with each other.

I hired services through Moving Help Center (movinghelpcenter.com) and had no issues. I paid a deposit online, the movers came and did what was expected, then I paid the rest DIRECTLY to the movers.

  7. Careful with hours request under budget.

You can't get your money back if you over budget!
Better to have to pay the extra hour then to get it taken and not used. with no refunds!! That sucked!

  8. Terrible customer service!

I booked this and received a confirmation email on a Tuesday for a move 3 weeks out. I chose a day and time online with availabilities. By Monday, I still had not received the name of my movers, so I gave them a call. The man said that the local movers declined my booking because they aren't available, and they would refund my down payment. They didn't call me to tell me that, I had to call them. I asked when they are available and he said for me to give them a time. All I wanted to know is when they were available to book, but he made me give him a time. He then said he would get back to me. So, I just received a cancellation email. I guess that was his way of getting back to me. My strong suspicion is the reason for the cancellation is that we live in the third floor.

  9. No show / No customer Service / No refund.

I would first off like to start by saying the prices ARE too good to be true. I fell for the trap and am writing this review to warn, as others have here, about MHC abysmal customer service, failure in delivery of services, and inability to communicate with customers and employees.
Service Ordered: 2 men for 4hrs on 10/28/16 $40 deposit $160 due after delivery. These men were to arrive at 11AM to load a 24ft truck and unload 2.3miles from the pickup location.
Problem: By 11:45AM, not a single mover appeared on site. The phone numbers for the movers provided to me were disconnected and voicemail full. 12PM, I resorted to calling MHC “Moving Coordinator” Roma C. Dias. He answered my initial call and mentioned he would contact the movers and/or resolve the issue shortly. 12:40PM, I ended up calling back as no contact from MHC had been received. This is where things got worse. Every single one of my calls was forwarded to voicemail; every 15min I called the main MHC line to only be sent, time after time, to voicemail. 2:30PM. Not a single call has been returned.
At this point, I am not only infuriated, but out of luck. Every moving company in town is completely booked. One mover, who had dealt with MHC and had heard of their issues before, felt bad for me and sent 2 office works to assist for $300 + $60 tip.
I have continued to call MHC with no avail. I have resorted to going to my credit card company to have my deposit refunded.

  10. Hire 2 Movers to Load/Unload Truck from Moving Help Center.

We recently moved in Dallas. My husband & I decided to rent a truck and move ourselves in order to save some money moving. We needed a couple of guys to take care of the heavy lifting and carrying things to and from the truck. Since my husband doesn't have any friends, we had to hire some guys to do it for us.

We went to Craigslist after trying to find cheap movers online and not having any luck. We came across quite a few sites that wanted $200 just to have guys help us out for 2 hours. Again, we were trying to save money on our move. $200 for 2 hours of labor, plus truck expenses? We might as well of hired movers with a truck.

On Craigslist we found a site called Moving Help Center. We had our doubts, but, we also had very little other options. I am happy we took a chance.

We called and ordered their special 2 movers 2 hours for $100. To be honest, I was expecting day laborers who didn't speak English. Like I mentioned, we just needed a couple of guys to carry our furniture and boxes for us. We really didn't have anything extraordinary - regular one bedroom apartment, plus an office desk. We were just moving a few miles away to another apartment.

After we booked the movers, we got a confirmation call a couple of hours later. I was relieved! The man who called sounded really professional. He assured us they would be there Saturday morning at 9am to help us move. Sure enough, Saturday morning around 8, he called to make sure we were ready.

The movers showed up on time - and yes, they both spoke English. They were actually a company we saw listed on another site who was charging more for their services. The guy told us that they work through a lot of different sites, Moving Help Center is one of the cheaper ones they work with. I was glad we decided to check Craigslist. We didn't have any issues with the movers. They were not uniformed or anything, but they did have their own moving equipment. I thought it was only going to take two hours, but it took three. I had to pay $40 extra for the third hour. They said it took a little longer because they were moving us from a 2nd floor.
