  1. Nightmare of nightmares.

I hired them to move from Florida to Tennessee. I had just had surgery and could not pack as much as I wanted for the movers. So I had them pack almost everything I could not. (which was mostly fragile and delicate items. Unfortunately I developed complications from the surgery and have been quite ill and unable to pack until recently. Almost every box I have opened has had damaged items. Some I can salvage but several so far are destroyed. These boxes were not labeled as fragile as they should have. I am dreading opening up the rest of the boxes as these have several items of great emotional value to me. This extra packing by the way added over 2k to my bill which I was not expecting, plus before the extra packing my bill went from 3k to 4k. When they got done my bill was over 6k for a bedroom set with lamps to a living room, sofa, lamps one chair coffee table, 2 end tables. Oh and several pieces of furniture had deep scrapes and scratches.
Several boxes that were marked "china" arrived looking like they were at the bottom of the pile and crushed. I have yet to open them in fear.
I would like to add that I kept asking how much this extra packing would cost me and I was told "Don't worry I will take good care of you".
DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE NOT A DIRECT LONG DISTANCE CARRIER NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY. THE TRAILER YES WAS THE SAME ONE BUT THE TRUCK WAS NOT.

  2. Great service.

They are completely professional and transparent with their business. I am a single parent with limited income and needed to spend as little as possible to move big furniture pieces, and they were more than happy to work together to wrap up the move quickly and on budget. They were not only polite for made hard work fun for us all. My furniture was treated as though each piece was extremely valuable and deserved the best of care. This move was truly a happy and peaceful experience, which can seldom be said about moving.

  3. From new york to nc.

Most horrible experience EVER,they lied to us that they will take 3-5 days maximum but they took 3.5 weeks,we had to buy air mattresses and new clothes with my family and sleep on the floor, that before dumping part of my Total Gym equipment and my kids bounce house in the trash, its my neirbour who found them and called me..RUN THE OTHER WAY WHEN YOU SEE THEM. We were going to sue them but we decided we don't want any more stress from them we'd or give them any more attention we better off move on, and they raised their price when they came to pick up our stuff..

  4. Moving NIGHTMARE!

Under NO circumstances should you use this service. That is unless you want to be lied to, have your property damaged, and be held hostage.
I was quoted over the phone $1085 to move 4 pieces of furniture and "20-30 boxes" from Tampa to NC. The MOMENT the movers arrived they started telling me about how much more it was going to cost for packing materials, etc etc. I immediately felt sick. Like a rat dropped in a snakes cage. I knew I was going to get screwed, it was only a matter of how bad. I was over my "20-30" quote by 10 boxes. Which resulted in my actual move cost being more than $2200. Of course you don't know that until all your property is on their truck and you have no other options for moving. When confronted with the 100% increase the foreman of the loading crew gives me the "im just the messenger, im over worked and underpaid, it wont increase any more now" speech. They also dropped my rolling tool chest off the lift gate and its is now destroyed. The movers reaction: "Thats moving. Stuff happens". I had to ask 3 times to get a claim form. Also, they take a credit card to make the deposit, but it requires cash to get your things back. This is a terrorist tactic folks!
When I asked the dispatcher and the salesman how long it would take to get my things, I was told 3-5 days. Not "we try to get it to you in 3-5 days but our agreement says 21 days". They don't say that until you call and scream and yell 2 or 3 times wondering where your things are. Luckily my things arrived in about 10 days. However, the desk I had them ship has gouges in the top of it from the legs of a chair they packed on top of it, and at least 50% of the boxes were so badly crushed or damaged that they are unusable to anyone else.
The companys owner has FOUR moving company businesses. this alone should tell you that they are shady AF. Please save yourself the stress and aggravation. Pay for real professional movers or do it yourself. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

  5. Not Fair--A Rip OFF.

I made a big mistake in using this company. They are very fast and persistent in getting your business with an over the phone quote--which sounds at first reasonable. But it was not what I actually was charged. Just know if you decide to use them, get a in house quote and not over the phone. It will seem reasonable but when they come out--This is where they get you--not weight but cubic feet. I was quoted a bit over a $1000 and then after it was all done nearly double that. They claim that I had more than I had told them. If you do not have everything in a box, then that is where they get you with added "cubic feet". Even the bike had to be put in a box! Now this is how they explain things-- that they can not leave anything out because everything is shrink wrapped into a square. It is not like a "pod" where you can stuff things. The things were not of value and not bulky in weight. It was a huge disappointment that I will have to pay nearly $2000 for a studio apartment with things from college.

  6. Worst company ever.

Worst moving company ever! Our belongings were supposed to be delivered June 4th. The tuck did not arrive until today the 19th. When we called to find out what was going on we were told the truck broke down. When we called a second time we were told the truck was fixed. The driver then called us to say the truck broke down again. The company rarely called us to update us on a new arrival date. I have several emails telling me it would arrive last week, which was completely false. Lior in dispatch is extremely rude. Not once did he or Phyllis apologize for the delay. When the truck arrived I asked to see my belongings before I gave them any more money. They drove off with our stuff and refused to turn around until we paid them. Stay far away from this company and do your research before even considering to book them. If only my fiancé had done the same we would have stayed far away from them. I will never use this company again.

  7. Beware!

Honestly if I could give this so called "moving company" no stars I would. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They quoted me a price on the phone. I gave them all exact accurate information. Then the day of my move they had 2 guys meet me at my storage unit. These men seriously looked like drug addicts off the side of the street. They were both very clueless and honestly I know they were intoxicated. They reeked of liquor. They had this big black very sketchy looking truck. They then gave me a whole another price and said they weren't moving the stuff unless I pay an extra $500 even though all the info I gave on the phone was 100% accurate. We had paid a deposit before they came. I called the manager and he basically acted as if he didn't care and he was also very rude and yelling at me on the phone. They did no service and never gave us our deposit back. So now we have to go through our bank and we are also going to a lawyer seeing as to the fact they had movers drunk on the job, who were suppose to be driving our items across state. STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPANY BY ALL MEANS.

  8. Customers Beware.

If you use this company, beware of deceptive practices by the original salesman (in this case “David”). Before making my final decision, I had 4 telephone conversations and he understood my entire situation. I was promised delivery of my furniture on February 3rd with the salesman knowing I was starting a new job in a new state.
After picking up my furniture, it ended up in a warehouse in South Florida for a week, finally arriving on February 10th. Upon contacting the salesman for assistance, he informed me he could not help me anymore and all call had to be routed to dispatch. Both parties stated there was language in the contract yet the salesman neglected to inform me after 4 separate conversations. Does this sound like someone who was looking out for my best interest?
Also, during the initial contact with the salesman, he insured me that his company does not put jobs out for bid, that, their experienced drivers will complete the delivery. However, to my surprise, this company did bid my job to another moving company. Plus, the driver requested an additional $300.00 above the agreed upon contract price.
In conclusion, this company is not very trustworthy and my salesman was by no means an ethical customer service professional looking out for his customers. I would never refer this company to anyone – future customers – beware and read the fine print.

  9. Poor service & failure to fulfill contract.

We contracted with Moving Mania to transport an item from Florida to Arizona. They arrived several days late to pick up the item and failed to bring the equipment verbally agreed upon to move it safely. They guaranteed delivery within 7-10 days. They contracted us at the end of that time telling us it had yet to be shipped. Seventeen days later, we received a call saying it would be delivered the following day & demanding cash payment in full prior to allowing us to inspect the item & saying it might have been damaged in transit. When my husband said he wanted to see it first, he received a call from a man who identified himself as Lior who immediately became verbally abusive insisting payment be made before the truck would be opened &, after calling my husband several vulgar names, hung up. He called back & told us since we had disagreed with him, we would be responsible for getting it off the truck & placing it where the contract said it was to go. When told we insisted he comply with the contract, he said he was just going to take it to Phoenix and sell it. The next time he called, I answered and he screamed at me and was verbally abusive. He proceeded to threaten me & told me there would be an unspecified additional charge and the item would be offloaded into our driveway & we could move it from there. When I asked his name, he said my husband knew. I asked the name of the company he was driving for and was told it was on the contract. In anticipation of having to deal with him in person, we arranged for a friend to be here as a witness in case we needed to file a formal complaint with the State Attorney General and/or fill a claim with the court. Fortunately, he had subcontracted with Executive Moving from Las Vegas and their driver,Eli, was outstanding! We would NEVER do business with Moving Mania based solely on the unprofessional and threatening interaction with Lior. Fortunately and through no effort on their part, our item was not damaged in transit.

  10. Theft During Move.

Beware of these movers. As they packed what we were moving they talked among themselves about our fine pieces of artwork, figurines and other valuable items, including sterling silver dinner ware and assortment of other sterling silver items. What a surprise when our boxes were delivered all those boxes had gone missing. If you use them be prepared for what you are getting into. Read all the other reviews. The only good ones are the ones the wrote themselves I am sure.

  11. Best company.

Well we all know how moving can be stressful so I do some research on moving mania and I read some bad reviews but I decide that being 10 years in the business vs new company's should give me some confident
and I am glad I choose them they did outstanding job starting from the sales guy Alex and Lorraine from customer service all went perfect I am so thankful moving mania I am recommend them 100 percent.

  12. Thank you Moving Mania.

So moving in the past was a nightmare and I was very careful choosing the right companie for my move, Alex the sales guy was the best part in this process starting by getting an accurate list and then call to confirm that there is no change on my list.
On the day of the move, I had 6 extra boxes that I had and the price went up little bit about 150 dollars more I didn't like it but it's been explained up front and that what I like they gave me the option what to do so for that I am giving them five star .
    I moved to Ca work-related.
    Thank you guys great job!

  13. Don't use this company.

Dave was a great salesman - personable, helpful, promising careful handling of our valued possessions. I was given a good price and a reasonable delivery date. I understood that it would take time to combine my boxes with others on a semi that would make several stops along between Florida and Oklahoma. But the promise was made to have things delivered so my father's assisted living room would be ready when he arried. In order to have them there, I shipped everything a week and a 1/2 before the move and camped out in a bare apartment. After the paperwork was signed, no one cared any more about integrity. Our items arrived 6 days after the promised date, causing us to scramble to rent my father a bed to sleep in until his things arrived. When I called to check the progress of the shipment, I was passed from the sales office to the dispatch office to the driver. I was even told by an office worker that my 94-yr-old father would just have to sleep on the floor until the truck arrived. They lost one box that contained my father's framed Navy discharge paper and wall plaques. The price went up considerably when the movers arrived to pick up our items. I only moved personal items, a rocker, and a twin bed, and I packed all the boxes myself, but look at the cost!

  14. Never Again.

First off, the only reason I'm giving this company 1 star is because of Nikki, she tried to help me out and give me correct information. At first I was happy to find this place they seemed so genuine but then it all started going downhill. I was told by Alex it takes only 3-4 days, I asked because other companies I called said about 2 weeks so I made sure to clarify that, because as I explained to them I'm in the military and I needed my stuff asap as I had to start work on 9/29. My stuff was picked up on 9/20/17 and they asked when I needed it I said on 9/26/17 is fine, the guy even asked if 9/25/17 was better I said no I don't want you guys showing up and I'm not there my flight was for that day. I signed the paperwork and on it they put estimated delivery 9/26/17. I called on 9/27 to see what was going on, I was told my stuff was just leaving Florida that day and should be there by the weekend, wow okay so they're behind an no one bothered to call okay. I patiently waited, the weekend came, nothing. Monday came around and I waited on them to call, still nothing so I called Tuesday 10/04/17. They answered saying they were just about to call me and my stuff is getting put on the truck now. My mouth dropped,I didn't know what to say,I asked "getting on the truck in florida"? A week before that I was told my stuff was leaving, now they're just getting put on the truck to leave Florida I was in disbelief, I was heated but again I took it and said okay and waited..again. Again the weekend came around and nothing. I tried calling on Monday 10/09/17 which was Columbus day so I guess they were closed because I got no answer. I called back on Tuesday, again no answer went online and found another number for them and called and finally got an answer, by this time I was really upset and inquired when I would actually get my stuff or if I would ever get it. The driver actually contacted me on Monday to set up delivery for Tuesday but I called the company to figure out why it took so long and tell them how they had cost me more money since I was here for what was now 2 weeks without my stuff, haven't been to work and had to buy some stuff I already had and keep buying food. Wish I had gotten the guys name but was too upset then to care, he got on the phone and I asked why I was given a delivery date if they couldn't deliver, he went on to tell me no one promised me delivery that day when my paperwork said it, he said that was just an estimated delivery date and the company had 21 days to delivery my stuff I should've read before I gave my electronic signature when I made my first payment. I was stunned and went on to tell him how they're unfair why would they ask when you want things delivered when they just did what they wanted. Long story short, he couldn't handle it so he put someone else on the phone who he had try to make a deal, more like blackmail. The "deal" was I would be given a discount which before they disclosed, I had to promise not to write a review as I had promised to write one exposing their madness when that guy tried to tell me no one promised me any delivery date, now tell me would anyone just give their stuff to a moving company with no promise of a delivery date, I'm not that foolish. Come to find out they were trying to give me a $35 "discount" not to write a review, In my angry state, I had to laugh. $35, really? I politely declined, I felt like that was an insult, compared to the extra money I spent and for my troubles. Even though the driver set up delivery to be made between 12 and 3pm on 10/10/17 he wasn't here until about 6pm, still late but I got my stuff, haven't unpacked all my stuff as yet hopefully all is in tact, one of my reusable storage boxes cover had some cracks but the stuff inside seems fine, thank God,I'm just happy my things are finally here, even if it's 2 weeks after. I'm finally able to go to work tomorrow, well prepared. I had a bad experience with Moving Mania Inc but I felt like it could've been avoided with better communication, all they had to do was tell me it takes that long or about this "so call" 21 day delivery window so I could've shipped my things earlier. I shipped my car with another company on 9/22/17 and I got it the night I arrived on 9/25/17, I'm just saying. And after they realized my stuff wouldn't be here on 9/26 they could've simply called and updated me on what was going on, because of the service I received I won't be using them again or referring them to anyone I know.

  15. Thieves.

They stole my PS2. And all my games. This was 2 years ago, but still needs to be said, so when you move make sure you don't go with these a-holes.
