  1. SCAMMERS Please Read

    Alliance Moving and Storage/Moving Serv GP(not to be confused with Alliance Movers Group) is a BAD company. They ask you to give them a check (DONT) so they can keep your deposit once you discover they are a bad company. Always use a credit card so you can get your money back from scammers. They say anything you want to hear to get your deposit money. After that you are in for a terrible experience. NOTE, no matter what they say, you will have at least 8 BUSINESS days notice to give them your moving date. Even then, you will have a 3 day possible delay. They are rude and hang up on you. We spoke with Keven (Team Lead) who was rude and hung up. We spoke with his Customer Service Manager Ann Marie Miov who was too busy to speak. She said she was on her way out the door and dropped off the call. I honestly believe they were trying to get us to back out so they can keep the deposit. If you read the fine print VERY CAREFULLY, you will see it say if you try to dispute this with the bank to get your deposit back you forfeit your deposit and you have to pay the remainder and legal fees. My advice is to use Home Advisors by Angi's List. They do background checks and use only certified people who meet high standards. Don't trust this company with your belonging or expect them to care about your closing or moving dates. I was in tears when I was on the phone with them. They are a broker not a moving company. They hire out cheap movers and keep the remaining money. They told me the person (Chloe) we talked to to set up the agreement was fired,lies. When we mentioned another name they said he was also fired. It's a scam. Please read this review and spare yourself the pain and money. Oddly enough I called the good company (Alliance Moving Group) to speak with a person in charge to find out the whole story and how Alliance moving and storage was ruining their reputation because of the similarity in name. Just always pay by credit card and beware if they won't take a credit card. Look possible movers up in www.https://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov. You can see if they are a mover with actual moving trucks or if they are a broker only. And always use Home Advisors by Angi. Also, the recent reviews are realther brokers they use or employees.

    Beware! Don't know if American Eagle Moving (whom I contracted with), Moving Services Group (who picked up my household belongings), or Alliance Movers Inc out of Wisconsin (who had some connection to these 2 other movers b/c the phone number on their web site led me directly back to Moving Services Group loading supr in FL), or all 3 are responsible for hiding my items in a warehouse in Miami, delaying my shipment, smashing the boxes, breaking furniture and cherished items, losing bedroom furniture pieces, and charging me cash + extra when they finally showed up on a Sunday night at 10pm. Hind sight is always 20/20 isn't it? )-:.

  3. Horrible service, do not use this company!

    If I could have given zero stars I would have. This is the worst moving company I have ever used and I have moved frequently across country. They moved my belongings from Texas to Vermont and were 10 days late in delivery. The truck broke down the first time and they were not even out of the state of Texas, then it broke down again, this time my belongings were moved to another truck, then they broke down the morning of my delivery, so turned up 4 hours late, then they dumped my stuff all over the house and did not remove the blue covers, or even put together my beds as they had another job to go to. When I called the moving company the next day I asked what should I expect from the delivery people and was told that my belongings should be in the appropriate room and all beds should be put together, when I told them what happened they were very unhelpful and suggested I call the driver, which I did and he arranged two guys to come round the next day and help me, which cost a further $200. I had numerous pieces of furniture with damage as well as broken lamps, so I followed the claim instructions to the letter, even having photographs developed, showing the damage. I never heard anything about my claim despite numerous emails and phone calls, when I called I would be put on hold for over 30 minutes, but never got to talk to anyone. I complained to the Florida State Attorney but that did not help, and here I am 18 months later still no further forward. I would never recommend this company to anyone and in fact if you get a quote that is more expensive than this company I would go with that quote because it will probably be cheaper in the long run.

  4. Worst experience ever.

    I had my furniture picked up in Florida on March 15th to be sent to NC, I'm waiting, no one calls back, no one answers emails or calls, today is April 14th and I haven't been able to reach anyone. My original quote was 1800.00, when they showed up they said that my stuff was going to be way more. It ended up being 5800. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Now they have all of my belongings and my money.

  5. Fraud Fraud Fraud.

    They would tell you they are the best. Alex would provide you the best rate ever. Alex will even give you his cell phone number. Then Alex would stop receiving your phone call 24 hrs before driver is supposed to show up. Driver will stop by late will start showing his attitude, then he would triple the rate saying you have more stuff, looks bigger in volume. He would start abusing you. He was almost ready to punch me. Alex won't pick the ph at this moment. Driver will call some one and he would lower the rate (he won't let you speak with that person). This new rate will still be 2.5 times the original quote. If you disagree you will lose the advance. Alex would convince his best to pay the advance from bank account else they would charge 7% extra. DONT PAY ADVANCE. You will lose all that money. This company is a fraud, I repeat fraud. stay away or do business to get killed by driver's punch.

  6. Terrible.

    This company has been a nightmare from start to finish. They gave us many promises that were not kept, from being able to ship anywheee as soon as we ask to having their own drivers. We were moving cross country and they knew that, and they said it was fine. As soon as we knew where we were moving they tried to charge us $500 for the extra storage time, even though we had attempted to contact them 3 times before our storage time was up. Reggie was the one we were in contact with, and he was highly unprofessional. He used his personal cell phone to contact us, but never answered when we called him back because he said he didn't do business on his personal phone. We had an initial address that we changed, as we didn't know where we were moving to when we signed with the company. They said that was no problem. Before the driver left Florida we told him multiple times our new address. But the driver called us from the original address ready to deliver our things. Because they did not communicate this to the driver, WE got charged $150 extra. The hard part about this was they only took non traceable forms of payment, post office money orders and cash. So there is no way to prove it. Then when they got here the driver would not unload the truck until I signed for everything. Our boxes are in terrible condition, all of our dishes were broken, and they traded one of our boxes with another delivery so we do not have our pots and pans. There were a couple hundred dollars worth of kitchen supplies in there. Instead we have someone else's box from a previous delivery. We also have 2 or 3 shelves missing from our book shelf that was supposed to be wrapped from the time it left Florida. Again, since the driver would not deliver the boxes until I signed there is no way to prove that. And since he wasn't working with the company and was hired out (which they swore up and down they wouldn't do), Moving Services Group will deny all responsibility. They are nothing short of a scam, and do not deserve to be in business.

  7. FRAUDULENT and dishonest company. DO NOT hire them for your move.

    My husband and I chose Moving Service Group Inc to do our interstate move mid January 2017. In working with our rep Ted Hasller we have been promised a bunch of things that somehow never seemed to make it to the official quote. He always seemed to have a good excuse as to why he didn't email it to us. At the time it seemed genuine, so we waited and waited and when it didn't arrive, he shared something personal I.e. he had a son, his mother in law passed, he took a day off to help his wife..So we thought, ok, no big deal, it was all verbally confirmed and he will send us everything in a couple of days. In the meantime we made the mistake of paying a $900 deposit which was required to hold the date of our move.

    After not hearing from him for days, we got suspicious and started frantically calling to no avail. and finally we learned 36 hours before our interstate move that Ted is no longer with the company. You can't imagine the level of stress and additional cost that this entailed.

    In spite of this, to this day Reggie, the only other person who's name we know, refuses to pay us our deposit back. The nye call you get voicemail and no one seems to know anything.

    PLEASE DO NOT do business with this company. Companies like this should be put out of business for being dishonest.

    We have filed a complaint with the attorney general of Florida and will keep insisting on getting our $900 back as well as bring awareness to the dishonestly of this company!!

  8. Moving Services Group.

    Do not use this company. They make a lot of claims as to their superior service including an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau, collective Five Star ratings, high satisfaction rates and 25 years experience. These claims are false and I suggest you visit the Better Business Bureau who has given this company a non-rating because of the recent onslaught of complaints. They reeled me in with the promise of a discount on the move because they had arranged a special piggyback with another move. I was promised that my deposit would be refunded if cancelation was made 72 hours before pickup. I took their claims at face value and gave them an automated check for the deposit. This was done a full two months before the move. Later that night, I did my due diligence and found that their claims were false. In less than 24 hours and still two months before pickup, I cancelled the order. It has been a month and they have still not returned my deposit of $493.80. Other notes: The company description they give on the BBB site reinforces my claim by stating that they will refund deposits if cancelations are made before 48 hours of ship date. They also claim to have 25 years of experience but are listed as being in business for four years.

  9. This Company is a Scam.

    I spoke with Alex in October of 2016, he quoted me $1490 for my move to Arizona. Everything was good to go for my move in January 2017. I called to follow up with them several times, only to get the same person every time. I was beginning to think it was just the one person working there. Next, Ted the “supervisor” becomes my main source of contact, he gives me his cell (which he never answered).
    December comes and my new contact person is Reggie, he says I will be the person you speak with from now on. Every month it was a new person. Wayne calls, says he will be at my place on the 5th and will discuss any additional cost for moving. And my delivery will be 3 days away. So not only was my bill no longer what I was quoted but now there were additional charges as well.Wayne and his 2 other guys show up. One to pack and the other to mover. One looked like he didn’t want to be here and the other was a senior citizen. These were the men in charge of my belongings. As soon as he stepped into my apartment, he kept mentioning he was in the business for 20 years and he’s a professional. My cost went from $1490 to $2,960.29. I showed them the door. I cannot express how upset this entire ordeal has been. They wasted my time and deposit.

  10. Awful company.

    This company charged me 1500 over binding estimate and demanded cash to deliver. Informed me of this an hour before driver arrived to deliver. They took my credit card for deposit but said they needed three to five days before delivery to take a credit card. Also charge 7 percent to use a credit card. Cash was the only option. My goods were held hostage. My 65 inch tv is missing and some items were damaged.
    Poor communication I was already in Ohio when they loaded my goods from my house in Florida and they saw the opportunity to take advantage of a single female. Use this company at your own risk.

  11. Nice job and accomodating.

    I hired Moving Services Group one year ago when I was moving from Florida to New York and now I had to move back so I decided to hire them again as my first experience with them was easy and pleasant. Moving is stressful for many of us and the company staff was flexible and understanding when the realty agency did not provide me with the apartment keys on time. The crew worked very well under pressure, did not freak out when I called with a potential change of plans at the last minute. Instead, Jose provided options and always looked out for my best interest to keep my costs down. They had done an excellent job at packing furniture for long-term storage to protect it from bugs/cold, damp weather conditions and once I unpacked everything was intact. They even gave me a hand and load my big SUV with my personal stuff which I was going to take with me in my car. Sean and Alex were great in 2015 and for this move them came again. I was so happy to see them. Cause I knew how they do they job. Prompt arrival, very positive attitude, flexible and good listeners. At the delivery they wanted to make sure all boxes were placed in their appropriate rooms. They also did a great job at assembling furniture, which is a pain to do, and for me as I have problems with my back. I recommended them to all my colleagues and friends.

  12. Horrible Service.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.. STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY ITEMS. THEY WON'T RETURN PHONE CALLS. WE'VE BEEN CALLING FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE IN PERSON. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!

  13. Fraud/scam Alert..

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. FRAUD ALERT. SCAM ALERT.

    Company charged me for a service and never completed work. Company will not answer my calls or comply with binder agreement. Spoke with Ted @ company who wrote me a moving binder IAO $1236.00. I paid 30% upfront. The day prior to my move I get a call from a guy asking me to go to the bank and get him some cash to continue my move because he was low on cash. I called company about this because this did not sound right. I left a voice mail but the company never called me back. The mover was suppose to arrive at 8AM the next morning but did not show up till after 4PM. They then began to look around my home and said that the company binder was wrong and tried to raise my bill to over $3000. I told them I was not going to pay that and asked them to leave my home. I have tried contacting this company multiple times but they will not answer their phone.

    Best movers ever. I was nervous, but they came on time, did a great job, and everything arrived on time and just as it had left my old place.

  15. My Experience.

    So I have been doing my research on different moving company's for a couple of weeks now, I came across this company and read some really good reviews. So I decided to give them a try, my budget was 4000, to make sure my items and pets were moved safely and secure. They were very professional from the customer service to the movers. They were on time and enjoyable to work with, all my belongings were the same way I left them my pets were fine, they even checked in with me. I would recommend this company to anyone. I.
