  1. Beware.

This company picked up our possessions after receiving a 7
page inventory listing for a quote of $1,400. After many attempts to get a contract or an invoice Multicity refused to
drop off our possessions after charging us $6,800 actual cost.
Multicity has refused to answer any communication with us for 3 months now and is now calling family members for
payment when we have not yet received a contract, an invoice, storage payment information or even a contact to discuss any of this with. Multicity is now operating as “Provincial
Movers” and will not respond to any Multicity communications.

    BEWARE

I have contacted a lawyer, filed a complaint with Ontario
Consumer Protection and the Better Business Bureau.

  2. Worst Moving Company Imaginable.

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! They quoted me an amount of $1400 and then tried to tell me that the new amount would be $2600. They said that the weight of my items was 3,600 pounds when in fact it was only 1500 pounds (I had them reweigh the items because I knew the weight was false) They wanted me to front an ADDITIONAL $300 to reweigh the items even though I had documentation that my items did not weigh that amount from a previous move. After countless hours wasted on the phone with them and after receiving BROKEN items nothing was resolved. This company is a complete SCAM and should be shut down immediately. DO NOT EVER USE THEM.

**DO NOT BE FOOLED BY ANY POSITIVE FEEDBACK. I HAVE CONTACTED THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU TO FIND OUT THEY HAVE A REPEAT HISTORY OF HORRIBLE SERVICE**.

  3. Very satisfied with my move from Calgary to Toronto.

I finally got around to writing this review and I think it is well deserved. After numerous conversations with my booking agent Nicole and finally deciding on my date I hired this company and put down my deposit. Main reason I went with this company despite some of the reviews, was because of Nicole and her persistence as well as customer service. I had very detailed and specific requests when it came to the way I wanted my move to go and they were able to accommodate me and follow-through with my requests. One thing that also made this company stand out was that they allow you to be present for the actual scaling so there are no surprises in the end. The price was extremely fair and I would pay it again for the service I received. Only thing I would complain about is that my things were 2 days late for the delivery date I requested, I realize they don’t give exact delivery date but at least they let me know they weren’t going to make it. One thing I also requested was that they provide me with a flat rate for packing materials and I got a pretty good deal on the amount of boxes I needed, and the quality of the packaging materials was very good. In general I am happy to be writing a good review on this company and the service they provided me with. I have referred a few of my business partners who may be moving to Ontario as well to go with this company. –Kerry H. .

  4. Ripped off by multicity/absolute now elite movers.

They are currently running as Elite Movers. The owner is Abraham Avanus: (416)732-8955; manager - Nicole Kepka: (647)992-3651. They book your move then try to find a mover to pick it up. When they can't, you're left last minute finding movers. Other cases, they ship in containers where items get mixed up and damaged. Police are currently investigating Nicole Kepka for fraud for using the name Sara (a former employee who quit due to the bad business being done). You only speak to Sara when there is a problem (Nicole disguising her voice).

  5. Run from Multicity.

There are professional moving companies and then there are these guys.  In short, nothing but thieves masquerading behind a legitimate business.  It's almost laughable if it didn't cost me almost $3000 worth of damages that I have yet to recover. For those of you that read this review, please read the many others where people have had horrible experiences with this company and heed their warnings!!  There are way more negative reviews than positive reviews of this company. My experience is not a unique one and the people who work at Multicity will sound very nice and reasonable until they are in possession of your furniture and money!   .

  6. Very Unhappy Customer.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I have had many issues with Mulitcity Movers and it is extremely difficult to get ahold of anybody to get things resolved. Emails go unreturned and when I call the person who can help me is always "in a meeting".

I moved from Hamilton, Ontario to Calgary, Alberta and needed some assistance having items shipped across country. The original quotes for fees were reasonable and I was told that delivery would take 7-10 days. Based on the weight of my items (some small furniture, a few boxes, and a motorcycle), and using the template they gave me, I estimated cost to be no more than $1300. They advised me that my items weighed in at over 3000 lbs, which is completely impossible, and they added extra fees, bringing my charges to over $2100. When I am able to speak to anyone, they do not give me a reasonable explanation, and had they re-weighed my load, there would have been an additional charge of $300.

The order was confirmed and the pick up was May12th so I was expecting delivery on or before May 22nd. That date came and passed, and after multiple unanswered emails, I finally got someone on the phone at the beginning of June and they told me it would arrive the following week. On June 12th I got a call and they said it would arrive on the 13th, so I took time off of work specifically to receive my delivery. In the afternoon on the 13th they called back and cancelled with no new estimated delivery date. It finally arrived on the 16th and almost every peice of furniture had dents and scratches in it. I had put my motorcycle on a stand so that it would be transported safely and the stand arrived, but there was no motorcycle! When I contacted them about the missing bike, they told me that it had been put on a different truck for safety purposes, so that it wasn't damaged. Weeks went by and when it still hadn't arrived, I contacted them again and they told me that it had actually been forgotten, and not loaded at all. It was finally picked up on July 4th and additional fees were added for the seperate delivery, which is not my fault but they now refuse to waive. It is July 17th and I STILL do not have my motorcycle. When I contacted them last, they said that it has been sitting somewhere in Edmonton since July 7th, but they do not have any trucks coming to Calgary any time soon. The woman on the phone actually suggested that I should go out to Edmonton to pick it up! Based on the condition of my furniture when it arrived, I am terrified to see what my motorcycle looks like.

They have incredibly poor service, outrageous delays on delivery, and I have been unable to speak to anybody about having all my additional, unwarranted fees refunded. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER
     .

  7. Incompetents and morons work there.

I booked with Nicole at Multicity back in March. I was moving to Montreal but was going to stay at my brothers until I find a place so I needed to use the storage they offered.

First of all, don't get fooled by Nicole's friendliness. She is the most useless customer service I have ever dealt with. I was nice to her because they had my stuff and being a jerk wouldn't get me anywhere but she has no power to do anything and she has no follow up skills.

When I booked they had to take a deposit. I was told $150 yet they took $200.

When they first came to pick up my stuff at the end of march, Nicole told me the movers would be there between 12pm - 1pm. They only showed up at 5:30pm. I called the office to find out what was happening and I had to call back twice because Nicole was too lazy to call me back apparently.

Then I had to go over the free storage period which before I knew that I asked in the eventuality I needed to use more how much it would be Nicole told me $75-$100 depending of how much stuff I had. I really didn't have much and they charged me $150 for the storage for 1 month. Another thing they say and don't stick to. But what are you going to do they have your stuff.

Then I found a place. Agreed with Nicole on the delivery date of June 5th. On the 3rd I got a call from the dispatcher that something was wrong with the truck and that they would not deliver until June 19th. Like really?!! Since this dude was not sounding the smartest and had no customer service skills I called back Nicole on the 4th and she apologized and bla bla bla. Full of [EDIT]. Then she finally calls me back the 6th to tell me that they would deliver on the following night that she pulled some strings and that the movers would call me when. They'd be close. Yah well the only string she pulled was probably the one she had stuck in her A**!! I waited and waited until 11:30pm and never got a call or a show up.

Then I call back again on the Monday and she said something was wrong with the truck and all again. How convenient how that truck always seem to brake down?

I waited all week for her to call me back which I ended up calling her and didn't hear back until the Friday. Twice they screw me over on the delivery and no more follow up and urgency then that? Pathetic.

Finally they delivered on the 16. Almost 2 weeks later than originally agreed on and they had the audacity to not even give me any discount which I asked for.

I was talking to this friend or mine who is to move her 2 story house here about them at first. Trust me she ain't using them now.

All and all this company is shady and staffed with a bunch of morons. Nicole did not even have the courtesy to follow up post moving to make sure I had everything and that it went well. Oh and they totally over charged me by for sure at least $200. I weighted my stuff before and it was not where near the weight they gave me. Honestly I believe in Karma and I can tell you that this company is in for a very hard awakening when it hits them.

Really, DO NOT do business with them. They will only make up these prices that look great in theory but in reality they will find a way to screw you in the end. BIG TIME.

Shame on Nicole, and this entire company. I can only hope that they fall under investigation and that every single employee there gets personally sued and put to bankruptcy.

And I just want to say, they might think I was stupid but the conversations I had on the phone with them are recorded on my tablet. I put Nicole on speaker phone and recorded with my tablet. So hopefully this will help the ministry of consumer services shut them down for good.

  8. Multi-city Moving.

My belongings were picked up May 11 2014 from Vernon, BC going to London, ON. I was told a bunch of [EDIT] when I first decided to go with them. For instance 6 FREE WEEKS OF STORAGE, and what they are not telling you is it is from the pickup date. In my circumstance, it took 18 days to get here to ontario. So now I have not even two weeks left.

I was told they would wrap my furniture (grandmothers table etc) for FREE and that its included with the cost. Now I find out they have charged me 300 bucks for wrapping.

Needless to say, I was given a locked in quote of 1361.70 taxes included and includeds destination and origin surcharge and scale fee.
My "hassel free move" is now at a cost of 2400.00 and after speaking to the owner Abraham I feel as this company is absolutly terrible and completely unprofessional.

Wasted so much time calling and one of the staff saying they would call back but never heard from them. DO YOUR RESEARCH! .

  9. Worst Service Ever!!

My husband booked Multicity on Dec 2nd, 2013 for our relocation from NYC to Toronto scheduled for Dec 21st, 2013. Our booking was confirmed and the security deposit was charged.  Their dispatcher called us the night before the move to say that he won't be able to move us on the intended date of Dec 21st. Due to the extremely short notice, we were unable to find alternative movers, so my husband and I booked a U-Haul and drove the truck on the day of the intended move. In addition to the stress caused by THEIR refusal to offer their service on Dec 21st, we lost over $200 when we canceled our flight tickets in order to drive the truck ourselves.  Now Multicity is refusing to even return our security deposit!!

  10. Beware!

Buyer beware! Tons of promises and none kept. Our stuff was picked up jan 24 2014 and was told it would arrive in Vancouver in approximately 14days depending on weather. Called to confirm final costs and estimated delivery day on February 10th and our stuff was still in Ontario. Was then told it would leave in a couple of days as they had some unforseen circumstances, which was all they would say. Called on the friday truck still had not left and told it should leave the following tuesday being February 18th. Called yet again on the 18th said definitely leaving on the Thursday. Contacted again told truck should leave on the sunday. Well big surprise come monday morning truck still hasn't left. Told them contract done rented a uhaul and picked up stuff ourselves. Still charged us another 925 dollars as apparently they did half of the job and wouldn't release our things until paid.
Arriving at the location we were greeted by a bunch of unprofessional young people who looked barely out of high school. Found them disrespectful and smart mouthed.
No one should be treated this way and we are seeking legal counsel to pursue this further. No idea if our stuff was damaged during their care I guess we will find out when it is unpacked in Vancouver.

  11. Multicity Movers WARNING!!

One of the worst experience in life by choosing multicity movers. They delayed the move nearly 2 months and did not provide any discount or compensation. They took advantage of the situation that they hold our things. Please do not choose this worst movers. Customers satisfaction is very poor. Employees are very harsh and they do not have any respect for customers. Make sure they mention the delivery date very specifically and also confirm about concession and discount if they delay the delivery. I would defenetely not recommend this movers to any..my experience has been a night mare..especially do not talk to Nicole(Manager) because her promise will go in vain and if they promise any concession make sure they give it written..otherwise they will deny the fact in the end..They will make u pay at the end without which u will blackmailed that u would not receive ur things..Business like this should not be appreciated and really stealing customers money..VERY VERY VERY VERY POOR customers satisfaction and arrogant with customers as well..

  12. A horrible moving company.

You really do not want to try Multicity Moving. It is a terrible terrible company. They pretend to be nice before you sign a contract, but they are very rude; especially, the general manger, Brock, he is the person that you never want to talk with. They lost my many valuable items, but they never try to find them or compensate for the loss. They also overcharged me extra 100$ for warehouse handing fee which is not on the quote. Moreover, they added almost 1000 lbs weight which overcharged about 500$. As their driver said, adding 1000 lbs is nothing to this company. Here I am telling everything true, and I hope other people will not be hurt by their dishonest  service.

  13. Well Orginized.

I have contacted MultiCity on Jul 10th. I have booked with Mel. She was very friendly and did assist me the whole time. I have arranged the pickup date on 13th of July and the movers were on time and professional. They protected the floors and Trevor who was in charge provided an inventory list I was able to check off in Edmonton, AB and make sure they delivered everything. It took 9 days to arrive and good condition. I highly recommend MultiCity moving. Thank you MultiCity. I have a good story to tell, not a horror story. I have red a lot of horror stories online. Mine was as smooth as I would hope.

  14. Thank you guys.

I recently moved to Toronto, ON. I filled out an estimation form on and Mel contacted me. She went through the items list with me and estimated the move around 3000 lbs. She explained me the charges and the service. I felt comfortable and I booked my moving date with her. She contacted me 48 hours before the pickup date and confirmed the time of pickup. The crew was friendly and they did fix a lot of my own packing besides wrapping my furniture. I was happy overall with the whole pickup loading process. Today I received my shipment in excellent condition. Same crew delivered my stuff. I want to thank them all. It feels so good to have this done without hassle. Thank you Mel!
