  1. Late, bad estimate, no response to problems

All was good until moving day came. I contacted Move That Stuff (Tulsa, OK) about a month before our move based on the recommendations of some friends. With Patrick on the phone, I walked through our house room by room giving a list of all the furniture to be moved. He gave me an estimate of 6 hours with a crew of 4. I booked the move, thinking that if it took more than 6 hours, it was an estimate, and I would just pay the hourly rate for additional hours. The crew was scheduled to show up between 8 and 8:30. They arrived at 11:15. There were just 3 men and not 4.

I walked the lead guy through the house. Everything was boxed up and the furniture needed to be disassembled and wrapped as discussed during the estimate. The lead guy said there was no way they could finish in 6 hours and that they had another move scheduled after mine and would have to leave after 6 hours, finished or not. He put his boss Eric on the phone. Eric told me they would have to complete the balance of the move on another day and when I asked when, he gave me a date a week out. A full week! That in spite of me booking so far in advance. I asked where the 4th crew member was. Eric told me I would only be paying for three. Which was not the point. He quoted the estimate of six hours and I reminded him that was their estimate, not mine.

The crew worked hard and got us about half moved that day. We paid the balance before they left. They did damage some furniture, walls, and flooring in the new home in addition to the ones reported by the crew. That’s where the problems started. I could not get anyone at Move That Stuff to return my calls or texts, or respond to multiple emails. I got one response asking for pictures. I had taken several the evening of the move to add to the couple the crew took of damaged furniture. They also lost the screws to attach the mirror to the triple dresser in the master bedroom and have not responded to multiple requests about that.

So, I guess if you have a flawless move within their estimated hours, you may be happy. If you don’t get your move completed in the allotted time or if you have damages to deal with you will probably run into issues. Once they have been paid, you will be ignored. At least that’s the facts of my experience. Completely unresponsive. We will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and also with the relevant regulating agencies. Any response to this review from them will be the first I have heard anything since the day of the move.

We had a different company (All My Sons) finish our move. Instead of making us wait for another week, they were able to get us scheduled in just a couple of days. Their policy is that the crew stays until the move is completed. You pay by the hour just like MTS. They showed up on time. Were very careful with our furniture and homes and left nothing damaged. I wish our experience with Move That Stuff was more like that.

    But, it wasn’t.

  2. RUDE

Very Rude. I had a move scheduled for this morning. 9 to 10am arrival. The email I received had the wrong address so when I called to correct the address thankfully I thought to confirm the time. I was not scheduled for this morning. So with this being the second error from the company before the move even started! I decided not to trust a company that does not know what they are doing with my mom's fragile items. When I stated that the company did not know what they are doing and I want to cancel the move, Eric hung up on me. I called back, he admitted that he hung up and that he did not have to hear that they didn't know what they are doing. Well... it would be nice if you confirmed that I would receive a refund for the deposit before hanging up the phone. During the second call he confirmed that I would receive a refund for the deposit... only after I stated how he doesn't care about customer support and satisfaction and that had he confirmed the cancelation and refund before hanging up on the first call there wouldn't have even a need for a follow-up call. He was very Rude from the moment I said the time frame he had scheduled was not the time frame I was given when I scheduled. I had the entire day scheduled around this move. They have no consideration for customers. Had he even remotely seemed interested in the fact that the company made an error instead of acting as if it was a personal attack on him my entire experience could have been turned around.

  3. Worst experience ever.

I booked my move almost 2 months in advance. I stressed I was moving from a 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor to a 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor and had a lot of heavy items. The day of the move the movers called to let me know they were on their way and it took them almost two hours to show up. Once they finally arrived both gentlemen were complaining to each other and then to me that they are not movers and were contracted because You Move Me did not have enough movers for the day. They didn’t have any tools with them, luckily I had tools of my own for them to use to unhook my washer and dryer. They were not careful with my furniture and now my 3 month old dryer has a scratch and my bed frame is also scratched up. They did not offer to put my bed frame together and also left my dryer hose at my old apartment. I’m very disappointed with the move and will not be using or recommending You Move Me.

  4. Move Tulsa.

Move That Stuff is a great company to provide for any moving needs. From getting the quote to unloading our belongings they were very professional, courteous and fast. I would use Move That Stuff company for any moving needs that might be needed in the future. Move That Stuff is also a Veteran owned company which added tremendous value to us.

  5. Long day but great move.

NAL helped us move down to Austin Texas. It was a long day and it was very very cold but those guys kept chugging along. If it wasn't for the fact that we were having to move long distance I probably would have rescheduled to save those guys from the cold. The service from the office to the truck was more than we expected. Great job guys!

  6. Excellent.

Professional service top to bottom. Will use this company again. Took care of our stuff. Movers were very polite and uniformed which was nice.

  7. Do Not Hire!

Simply awful!! Broke a very expensive conference room table and now won't pay for it. The movers were slow and careless. Bad company!!

  8. Would not recommend.

The movers were courteous and respectful. However, they were extremely slow and I was paying by the hour. In addition, almost every breakable item I owned was broken. The furniture was not blanket wrapped and so sustained damages. This was the most expensive move I have ever made as I had to replace all my dishes. Every piece of my grandmother's china was broken and cannot be replaced. I'm extremely angry and disappointed.

  9. Do Not Use Them!! Avoid!!

BAD BAD BAD. Simply the worst! They damaged every single piece of expensive, brand new furniture that I had just purchased. It was unblemished and immaculate. Now it looks used. They scratched, scraped and scuffed every bit of it. It wasn't protected at all! PLASTIC WRAP.. they used plastic wrap - no padding, NO BLANKETS, just plastic wrap. Ridiculous. They gave us the same excuses as they did with other customers that left bad reviews whose furniture was damaged too. Even my coffee table is cracked and the wood is split - it needs replacing. We have waited patiently on Mr. Norris for FOUR months to honor his promises to repair the furniture, but nothing has been done. He tried to force us under duress and coerce us to sign some sort of legal papers to say we won't say anything bad about him, which we think is dishonest, unethical, and illegal. He has not cooperated or honored his promises. We have filed a complaint with the BBB, and he is still not cooperating.  I wish we had used the same moving company we did before we chose this one.  Terrible mistake!  We are now planning to sue. I will never use this company again even if it was free!

  10. Do not let them pack for you.

We used them 2 months ago and I was very impressed and satisfied by how accommodating they were with my moving date that kept moving back. On the day of the move they showed up an hour and half late, but the packers were very friendly and I liked them. They packed everything for us and I was very happy with how speedily they were moving along. Our disappointment came when we started unpacking at our new house. The boxes were packed extremely carelessly. We had soooo many damaged items! The kitchen was the worst of all. I will not recommend them if you want them to pack your possessions. However, if you pack and you can be involved in directing them what to to with each item they unload, It might be worth the price.
