They were amazing from start to finish. My original movers were a no show. I called Nationwide and they had someone there to pick up my stuff within 48 hours. Just in the Nick of time. On top of that they were extremely caring and sensitive to what I had just gone through. Ultimately they went over and beyond to get me out the door and on my way to my destination. I’m so, so grateful for them.
Terrible Experience.
Nationwide Moving was scheduled to pick up my household goods from storage in Georgia 15 August and deliver in Virginia 16 Aug. At the time of arranging this move I provided Nationwide Movers with exact weight and sq.cu.ft. from documents obtained when my goods were placed in storage. The binding and guaranteed estimate price was $2282. I paid $1500 down by credit card, the remainder to be paid by credit card the day of delivery. On pickup day I was informed not all the goods would fit in the moving truck and would have to return 2 days later to pick up the remainder then deliver all at one time on 18 or 19 Aug. The delivery date changed to 21 then 22 Aug and price raised to $2900, $618 extra for alleged excess volume. The day of delivery the driver tells me the goods will not be unloaded until final payment is made in cash. I paid $1400 cash. After all is out of Budget Rental truck, no sign if Nationwide identification anywhere, I discover only about 2/3 of items were delivered. They had not returned to collect the items left in storage. The Nationwide dispatcher promised the rest would be delivered in two days. It was not. I called, was promised another delivery date. Didn't happen. This process has repeated nine more times, setting a delivery date and no show. Meanwhile, the storage company has charged me an additional $333 due to the items being left behind. Some of the items delivered were damaged, No check list was used for what was delivered and no assistance unpacking or assembling. I've contacted Nationwide repeatedly to get answers only to be promised 2 or 3 more days more. Many days I could not reach anyone by phone at Nationwide. They never once called me to update what was happening. A delivery date of 20 Sep was given the next time I did reach Nationwide. Another no show. On 22 Sep a driver calls to say he is on the way with my delivery and ask what is my address. Why doesn't he know? Three hours later he calls again saying he must make stops in Maryland and New York. Will come to me sometime next week. Today 28 Sep, six days later, still no delivery and there has been no further contact nor help resolving the issue from Nationwide Moving since.
