  1. Deceitful company.

    The reps and movers are liars and thieves. Make sure to ask for a binding agreement meaning that they cannot change the price after you hire them and this is exactly what they did even though I had a binding contact. Boxes and belongings were broken and stolen. Also they keep changing the name of the company because of their bad reputation on bbb and online. Look out for Xeria. She seem nice at first but Not a nice person and a liar. Be careful with any moving company and do yourself a favor and hire a reputable one.

  2. Horrible experience. I should have just rented a uhaul and did it.

    In my 44 years, have I ever been treated so disrespectfully by a company..  Please look elsewhere for moving from one state to the next.

    I wouldn't give it any stars at all if I could.  First of all.  My quote was originally 2085.  then I called for the updated inventory and the quote jumped to 2400, which was fine.  I told them I had 26 18 gallon totes. I was told these were considered small boxes, but when the mover got there, they are considered  large boxes (which made the cost go up).  I also had a couple other items that I didn't include, and expected it to go up another couple hundred.   It went up to 2900.  that's 900 more than the original cost and a bit much for a 500 sq foot 1 bedroom apartment.     but that's not the worst.  I was guaranteed a one day window since it was my only day off before the holiday and per my apartments lease I had to clean and repaint the apartment before I left.   The Movers were a full day late, which cause me not to be able to paint/clean, and I ended up being late to work, which caused me to be late and missing some pay from that. .  I explained all this to the rep when I made the arrangements and was told it was fine.   It wasn't my fault their truck broke down,  I accepted the fact that my cost jumped to 2900, but now I am out my deposit from my apartment because they didn't show up when I was guaranteed they would be there.  

    The customer service was horrible!!  I call 2-3 times a day  and left messages.  They did not return any of my messages.  The only time I was able to talk to someone was if they happened to answer the phone when I called which was only 3 times total (so 3 x per day for 14 days= 42 times and only got through 3 times, with no return call to my messages).  The delivery took almost 2 weeks, Rep said average time is 4-7 days, but the paperwork did say it can take up to 15 days (I didn't like that, but accepted it.).  After my estimate jumped $900, and I lost my deposit on my apartment I was moving from $525,  and explaining this to the rep, I was told it wasn't their fault, they picked things up and moved me out of my apartment, and there was nothing they will do.  I was told it's not their fault that the truck broke down, and caused this issue.  And I was told that they handled their obligation    (oh yeah?  a full day later than promised).  So I called and on the rare occasion got someone and they said that it would be delivered in 3 days, but I'd need to cover the full balance.  I asked the $880, and was told, no the check didn't go through, I needed to come up with the $2400 balance.   I went off!!. and was told the check was returned possibly for insufficient funds, etc.  I knew I had the funds, so I called the bank, the check was never presented to them.   I called STS back the next morning and left 3 messages,  (1 for dispatch, 1 for customer service, and 1 for payments).  Again never got a call back.  I ended up calling the original person that took my original order, and they had to call a supervisor to give me a call back.

    If I would have known the way I would have been treated by this company, I would have rented a uhaul and did it myself.  A lot cheaper and less stress.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

  3. Thieves ! Worst in Industry !

    Thieves ! Opened every box of mine and took out all expensive items !! Worst Worst movers I have come across in my entire life. After some research I came to know that they are also known as State To State movers and also in few other names. They keep on changing names when get some bad reviews. Never Never try these thieves. I had a horrible experience !

  4. Run away.

    Horrible customer service during a relocation to Ohio from NC. Initially, the company was very helpful and nice, but come moving day, the tide turned. The company gives a two-day window in which it will pick up the items. They couldn't make the first day because the truck that was reserved for our stuff was too full. The company also gives you a three-hour window in which they will call and let you know at what time they will be there on the second day. No one called us to let us know when they were coming to pack the truck. We got nothing but voice mail and a promise someone would call by 7 p.m., the end of the three-hour window. After numerous calls and voice messages, still no call. After punching different numbers on the phone to see if anyone would answer in dispatch, we got the lone dispatcher who at first said a truck would be at our house between 4 and 7 p.m. My husband then took the phone and the guy said the truck would be there between 3 and 7 p.m. We considered them in breach of contract because no one called us by 7 p.m. to let us know when pickup was. We never sent in the credit card authorization form because they wanted photo copies of our driver licenses and front and back copies of the debit card. I thought that was just asking for trouble. We then disputed the deposit amount at the bank and told the bank we didn't authorize them to use the card. We ended up getting a uhaul and two guys to helps us load it. Run away, just run away.

  5. Awful :-(.

    Would give 0 stars if I could. Never experienced such headache and poor customer service in my life. Moving is stressful and this company will make it so much worse. I have never wrote a review in my life but feel others need to know to STAY AWAY. They are rude, irresponsible, and deceptive. So many of our belongings were broken, damaged, and MISSING. Don't try calling them for help-you won't get ANY. They won't care either if you are not satisfied with your services. A real company would respond to poor ratings. Or respond when we tell them about our poor experience. This scamish joke of a service is simply unacceptable in 2016.

  6. Horrible experience.

    This has been the worst experience ever I will be sueing these people for everything I lost . They are extremely horrible . I lost 9 boxes and my aughters bike and all they wanted to settle for was 114 dollars mind you my daughters bike cost more then that. I lost all my daughters clothing and I had to replace them. How can they be so unresponsible and lost my things and then that even take responsibility that is horrible. I can't even begin to say how upset I am . I am going to do everything I can to make sure they learn from this experience. I will be suing them and reporting them as well.

  7. Great move!

    After tying the knot with my significant other, we decided to relocate ourselves to Northern California from New York City and was looking into moving companies so I didn't have to worry about the hassle of moving long distance and sacrifice an arm and a leg to pay for the expenses. However, to much of our despair it was difficult to find a company that was not only legitimate, but to ensure that none of our personal belongings went missing after the move was complete and having communication issues with the moving staff. We were also looking for professionals to move and handle my husbands fragile instruments with care as well as my inherited china set. After much research, my husband was able to find New Life Transport to accommodate our needs. Not only do they provide excellent customer service, but they were able to provide us with great quotes and tips and ideas as to how to make the moving transition occur smoothly. I truly recommend this company considering me and my husband are both students and we were able to afford this professional moving service since they offered a set quote. The best part is that they call and confirm usually 1-2 days in advance, ensuring you have packed your items already, and if you are as busy as I was with school - they send a crew out for you to assist! Husband sends his thank you for being extra cautious with his drum set and I send my thank you for not causing me any stress or hassle.

  8. Stole my items and damaged another few.

    This is the worst mover ever. Their subcontractors are so clumsy and unprofessional. First of all, they lost 3 of my items and broke another 3 of  my items and they will coolly say they are going to send the claims forms and fill it up. Their claim form is another joke. They give $.60 per pound of the weight that was lost in the shipment. They say they might have by mistake given the stuff to another customer. How does that happen? Isn't each customer's stuff stored in a seperate locker? How does the item go from one customer to another customer? It just looks like they stole your stuff and giving you a fraction of the value you lost. low lying crooks and thugs are all they are.Second, they don't arrive in time. The guy told me he will come at 12 in the afternoon, but ended coming at 8 in the evening. I had to change my schedule so may times to accomodate him. He won't even reschedule to next day. Plus their actual movers who come to move your stuff, they don;t speak proper english, so it is very hard to understand them.The movers themselves are uncouth and quarrelsome. So do not go to these scumbags.They call you all these honey, darling, sweety words, but beware of whoever who uses these words. These words are usually used by people who do not do their job properly and try to get your business by making you feel they care about you.Third, they give you an estimate for one price over the phone and when they actually pack up your stuff give you another.The woman isabelle or xiarra whatever their name are, they are the worst in customer service. They have no integrity and both lack professionalism. DO NOT BOOK THEM. Stay away from these jokers and crooks. I was booked by state to state movers and got transferred to them. So stay away from state to state movers. They are all thugs, useless people who care very little of your stuff and but take your money and misplace your items.I hope whoever stole my stuff gets handed something terrible by way of karma.Their business should be closed down. They are the worst. DO NOT EVER BOOK THEM.Also, right after they take your stuff they talk very badly with you on the phone, very rough attitude. Seriously, for a couple of 100 bills go to a very good mover.Stay away from these people.

  9. Worst company !!

      I needed to reach out to someone in regards to my move. This was very up professional on New Life Transport. I have made several complaints over and over again with your employees and including so called "MANGERS" let me stress out that I am extremely pissed off the way you guys handled my move. I waited forever and a day for my stuff to be returned to me expecting things to go smoothly I was let down. My boxes all 40 of them were complete destroyed and not taken care of. You guys have broken a lot of my personal belongs and forced me to go out and by new things because you broke them for be careless and disrespectful. I have made several calls to received the other 2 boxes that you guys missed placed on me and that had some things that meant the world to me and my family. It was UN professional when you we back and advised me you couldn't locate my boxes and they went to poss another location and there was nothing left for you guys to do . I am upset because it took 4 weeks for me to call again and to find this out and now the 2 extra large boxes I will only get back what the weight of the box would be and nothing back of my personal belongings this is ridiculous. Then to top it out you farmed it out to another company that there was 2 men that was extremely helpful but his company charged me 150.00$ for the 3rd floor. I was also charged from NEW LIFE 75$ and when I spoke to you guys I was supposed to receive a check back for the 75.00 and STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A THING BACK ! This isn't fair and I will be making sure if I move in the future I will never use you guys again ! I am besides my self and extremely upset.

  10. Do Not Use.

    If I could give zero stars I would. First of all they were supposed to arrive between 8-10am and didn't show up until 7pm. I had a one bedroom apartment and it took them 4 hours to pack. I paid for full packing and moving. The later it got in the evening the less they seemed to care about carefully packaging my items, they seemed to just be throwing things in boxes to get it done. In fact, when I received them there were multiple glass items broken and many of them were not even wrapped at all - just thrown in with other kitchen items. They packed half of my coffee mugs by putting them all together inside a pot without any sort of covering. I also paid for disassembly and reassembly of my larger items - like a desk and dining table. Because they disassembled everything I had no idea how to reassemble these things. When the movers came they also had no idea what they were doing and just left my things in pieces without even attempting to reassemble. It doesn't stop there. Their original estimate was $1967.41 and I ended up paying almost $3400. This company charges for stairs - the first flight is free but all subsequent flights are $75 each. I live on 3rd flood and therefore was pre-charged $75 (for second flight). When the movers arrived they demanded $225 (for 3 flights) or else they would "dump my things on the ground level." When I called the company to dispute this they asked me "Why did they charge you for that?" Obviously, that's what I was calling to complain about - I don't have the answer! If you do end up getting this company - which I highly recommend against; carefully read the contract - if you have any issues they have an arbitration clause and if you do want to pursue litigation it has to be in New Jersey. I am currently going through their claims office to try and get reimbursed for my broken items (btw they only pay by weight) but I doubt that I will ever see any sort of compensation. The least I can do is let as many people know as possible: DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!!

    The movers were fantastic. No complaints. I've had a couple of bad experiences with moving companies so I was hesitant this time around. These guys were great. They arrived on time and they were quiet and careful packing my furniture. I was worried about my stuff breaking on delivery and thank goodness everything arrived just how I had it. I would use them again if I need to.

  12. Awesome company.

    My move was so fast and easy thanks to these movers. This was my first long distance move so I was a bit nervous about using a professional mover, but this company was great. They showed up on time and dropped off my stuff on the day promised. They also packed everything neatly and carefully. None of my things were damaged. This company did a great job!
