  1. Horrible service.

Do not use this service, it´s awful. The company never responded for furniture and property damages. They also overcharged for the service and so on. I can be on and on about this company.
Don´t be silly, protect your money and pay a bit more for a real and serious service.

  2. Unethical.

New Life Van Lines lost my 42 inch Vizio flat screen TV. It took them almost two months to finally admit that they couldn't find my TV in their warehouse. When I made a claim on it. They said that I had to go through their insurance. The insurance offered me only $75 to replace my TV. I told them that was unacceptable since it would cost me to replace the same TV $500. Since then I have emailed and called New Life Van Lines and no one has gotten back to me. This happened last October and I don't know what to do. All I want is to have my TV replaced. $75 for the TV, really. That is saying that it is okay for us to steal your TV, because that it was I consider it - THEFT. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

  3. This team is excellent.

This company moved me last March. Yes, It is unfortunate it took me this long to write this review, however like they say, better late then never!
Everyone I spoke to from Rose Lomax and all the others in the office, (their names escape me) was always extremely polite and professional at all times. I have moved from state to state before, so I know all of what can go wrong. These folks know what they are doing. For the low price they quoted, this was well worth the price. You will be happy with this company.

I will call them again for my next out of state move.

  4. Con artists.

Be careful of this company. They first tried to make me pay extra for delivery from the port to my new home address. Valerie said that is how all freight shipments work which was a lie because I called other companies and that is not how it works. She then insinuated that I was told that was the case which I said her contract said "door to door". At that point, she backed down. Then they charged me a $1,000 for storage when they had not told me the items had arrived at the port AND the freight company that had picked up the items were not charging for those few storage days. I found the latter part out after the freight company told me themselves that they were not charging for the storage and that is their general practice. Still haven't received a refund - stay away from Nick and Valerie from New Life Van Lines.

  5. Very understanding.

I moved in May 2015. They came picked up my stuff on the 28th of May. I had moved to Texas. Things didn't go as they were suppose to but yet and still new life worked with me and gave me a chance to get my self together. I read reviews on them before but I didn't want to believe what I was reading. The move I decided to make was from California to Texas. I could not pass up the deal they gave me and the proffesionalness they have kept with me even when I couldn't pay on my storage just yet. So new life is awesome. I definitely recommend everyone trying them out. They really are good. Don't knock new life. They are alright with me.

  6. Be aware that what are you choosing !!

This company is like a modern pirates group! They charge you for stealing some of your items! They call it lost items, however when you pay attention carefully, you will see that it is a systematic lost! How? They choose some of your expensive items, pick them up, don't answer you for a while, and after 2 or 3 weeks, tell you that, your lost items are probably left in their warehouse, and after 2 or 3 weeks, they say, they didn't find them there and probably your lost items are between items of another customer in the storage, and at the end they tell you sorry they couldn't find them and you can make a claim and for each item you can get a few cents per pound, so if the value of your item is $100, after several months, they pay you a few dollars! Isn't it a new "pirate " style? And the head of pirates is Valerie, the manager of company!

  7. This company is a SCAM.

We just used New Life Van Lines to move our 1-bdrm apartment of stuff from Los Angeles to El Paso and our experience was AWFUL. We selected this company because they had glowing reviews on Yelp, but now we are skeptical of those reviews. And we just discovered that FIVE COMPLAINTS were filed against this company with the BBB in the past 12 months. We booked with Rose in mid June, who said that any company with a cheaper quote was trying to scam us. We scheduled to have the movers come the morning on July 31st, the day we needed to drive 9 hours to Tucson. The estimate/contract listed the move time as 9AM. On July 30th, I get a phone call from a different person that the movers would be coming between 10 and 11am. I said that we needed them to come earlier. She said she'd "let them know."Next day, by 11am: We have heard nothing.11:20: I call the company. We get a busy signal or answering machine for ten minutes. Finally get Rose on the phone. She says she'll call the dispatcher. 11:40: Call from the movers. Nick says they hit traffic. When I express frustration he rudely says, "We had another job!" and they'll be there within a half hour. 1:11: I call Nick. He says they will be there in 15 minutes. 1:52: I call the main office. Rose answers, acts shocked that the movers haven't arrived. 1:57: Call from Nick. He says it will be 15 minutes. I say that he said that last time and we are worried about getting on the road. He says defensively that he had to get gas. 2:15: They finally arrive! No apology for showing up late and repeatedly misleading us about their arrival time.  The 3 movers demonstrated care with certain items, but other times were completely careless. At one point I was standing out front and saw them drop a box about 8 ft as they were lifting it onto the truck. No one apologized or acted concerned. Their system for numbering and labeling boxes was haphazard and sketchy. They also seemed not to be in a hurry. At 3:30, they said "two more hours max," but did not finish until 6:45. At times it seemed like they weren't doing anything. Between 5 and 6, there were only a few things left in the apartment (e.g., a chair, a bed) and they didn't take one thing out. At one point, my frustrated husband started carrying things to the truck himself. We did not get on the road until 7. We had to book a new hotel in Phoenix and cancel the one in Tucson. Again, no apologies. When I asked if we could get a discount for the lateness, Nick muttered dismissively that he couldn't control traffic. The thing is, I understand that movers are sometimes late. What I can't stand is the utter lack of customer service. When you don't show up when you originally said you would, at the Very Least, you should apologize. At least pretend you are sorry to have greatly inconvenienced people who are paying you a lot of money for a service. The total ($3,578) was almost $1,000 more than the original quote (about $2,600). But Nick was taking off the 5% discount we were promised when we reserved with the company based on the original quote, (meaning, of course, that the discount was less than 5% of the total cost). He changed it only after my husband spent 10 minutes arguing with him about math. Two days later, after we arrived in El Paso hours later than planned and almost too late to get the keys to our new place, my husband calls to speak to the manager about a discount given the horrible customer service. He is told to call Nick. Nick says that it just took longer to pack up our stuff and we don't deserve a discount. My husband insisted and Nick said he'd call us back. He didn't. My husband called back hours later and Nick again said he'd call us back. We never received that call. In terms of delivery: They lost my husband's $350 (very sentimental) guitar and an office chair. Our sofa table had scratches all over it. The movers put it in a box with no protection. The corners of our expensive kitchen table are nicked as if they've been banged on the ground. The foot/screw went missing from the bottom of an expensive shelving unit that is now uneven. Boxes labeled "fragile" were totally smashed. Remarkably, nothing broke, but that's only b/c my husband and I wrapped all our dishware in blankets and sheets. I need to replace our printer because despite labels saying "This side up!" (as per the recommendation in the user manual), it was delivered upside down. We are going to file a claim for the missing items and damages, but we don't trust New Van Lines to reimburse given their blatant disregard for their costumers. We should never have paid cash without ful, safe delivery of all our things. And no one should ever have to waste time filing a claim while going through the stressful process of moving long distance! Last, we got charged by cubic ft, and have since read that legitimate companies weigh your stuff. (Then they can prove all of it was delivered). We also found this useful article: http://www.today.com/id/29972260/ns/today-money/t/how-avoid-being-scammed-movers/#.Vcw_xYuaT8F. Turns out, New Van Lines is NOT reputable! Do not use this company!

  8. Damaged belongings.

Four months ago we had this company scheduled to pick up our belongings and to move from CA to WA.  When they arrived they were very nice and professional and pack our stuff very good.  I was impressed and so I wrote a good review to them in return.. boy was I wrong.  I take back my review.  The hell of dealing with New Life Van Lines started the week we asked for them to deliver our items 3 months later.  They said they needed a 3 day window to deliver the items which is understandable.  They were to deliver Wednesday thru Saturday.  Well Wednesday came around and we still didn't receive a call.  So we had to call over and over until we reached someone and they said our items would show Friday for sure.  Well, late Thursday we did not have a confirmation call. So we called again and again and no answer over and over.  Finally we get a hold of Nick (the owner) and he tells us someone named Adam has it and gave us Adam's number.  We call Adam, and he guarantees he does not have our stuff.  So then it became phone tag with no one responding to us and we have no idea where our belongings are.  Finally Nick calls us back and said "oh my bad" Jose has your items and he is in San Fran and you will for sure get your stuff on Sunday.  Then again, Saturday came, and no confirmation calls, nothing.  We called every single number until someone answered (keep in mind we both took off work to get our items delivered) Nick calls us back and says Jose is in Oregon until late Sunday and we will get our stuff Monday for sure  this time.  Well guess what happened again?! No calls, text, nothing.. so again we have to try to track our driver because we still have not heard from him.  Finally late Sunday night we get ahold of Jose and he tells us he will be there for sure sometime in the morning.  So my husband had to take an extra day off to accommodate.  It gets better, on Monday Jose calls us asking for our address because he is in WA.  We give him the address.  Then my husband finds out that it's just Jose that is showing up with all of our stuff.  No one to help him and he did not have any tools which is part of the arrangement.  So I called Nick again.. and asked him why we only have one guy showing up? How are we supposed to get the stuff in the house? So Nick tells me that there will be guys with Jose and so I said okay.  Well guess what? Jose shows up all by himself and won't start unloading the truck until we pay him.  Pay him and then expect my husband to HELP unload?! So I called Nick and by this time I was very upset obviously.  Nick finally calls (after I called him twice) Jose and tells him to leave and go get some guys (mind you not professional movers these are guys they picked up from Home Depot parking lot). And finally Jose shows back up with "some guys" and when they opened the truck and all of our stuff was thrown on top of each other.  See the pictures. EVERYTHING WE OWNED WAS IN THAT TRUCK, AND EVERYTHING WAS DESTROYED!! WE HAD BLEACH STAINS ON OUR DOWN FEATHER SECTIONAL THAT WAS ONLY A YEAR OLD AND IN PERFECT CONDITION. WE HAD COUNTLESS DAMAGES TO OUR ENTERTAINMENT CENTER, HOLES THROUGH OUR HUTCH AND DRAWERS, MISSING PEACES TO FURNITURE, DAMAGED BEDROOM SET AND VERY SCRAPED UP, DESTROYED COFFEE TABLES, BROKEN AND DAMAGED DÉCOR, HORRIBLY SCRAPED UP AND DAMAGED PATIO SET!! This was everything we own and they acted like they would help but never did. We called and called. NICK SAID HE WOULD MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN CARE OF BUT NEVER RETURNED A CALL SINCE AND WOULD NOT GIVE US THEIR INSURANCE INFO. I highly recommend to never use this company!!.  We still have not heard from Nick! This is a fly-by-night non company!! This was truly a horrible experience and I did not wish for anyone to have to go through this.  Message me here and I will tell you everything in detail if you are thinking of using this company!! Please do not!!

  9. Thankful to this company.

I was moving to the Mecca for musicians- Nashville. I grew up in North Hollywood, CA and it was the biggest decision of my life. My brother also decided to move with me. We both had some furniture and other necessary things to take with us. We hired New life van lines because one of our former neighbors used them too. The company delivered in every aspect. Their van reached our ranch only 4 minutes late. The men took only 2 hours packing everything. They put the breakables in the boxes with layers of newspaper between each piece. They used a lot of tape to ensure the safety of our belongings. We are now safely relocated to Tennessee but the memories of home are very much kept alive with the pieces delivered by New life van lines.

  10. Bait and Switch / Holding Items Hostage.

Do not make the same mistake I did. Avoid New Life Van Lines like the plague. I still haven't gotten my storage items from them. And it's been over two months now. I cannot reach them by phone and when I email Rose, she always directs me to call (same unavailable phone number) another person. I have talked to two different employees since then. First, Guy, who was abusive so that I actually had to hang up him. Also, he told me over the phone during this conversation that because I was on dialysis and unavailable those three days a week, "that was unacceptable." I am now filing a discrimination complaint due to that conversation. And then I talked to Nick from New Life Van Lines. He told me several times that he would "fix it" but I needed to pay more money supposedly due to my items being heavier.  I am emotionally distraught.

  11. Move.

If you want to experience the worst then go ahead and use this company for your move. They say they pride themselves on customer service and that is a joke. Good luck getting someone to answer the phone let alone return a call. Van line there not. Load was picked up by a Budget rental truck and dropped off with a Enterprise rental truck. Brand new queen bed was delivered just filthy and ripped. Furniture and boxes in bad shape. They totally stressed me out. All this company cares about is collecting there money from then on scam, lies and no communication from them. If I could rate them it would be a 100 BELOW ZERO.

  12. Do Not Use This Company.

These people are beyond shady. They incorrectly charged me 50% more than my estimate, showed up on the wrong day (when I was not there), then failed to show up or call two other times. I finally get my stuff, two months later, and EVERY box is broken, things are missing and they won't return my calls. Do yourself a favor, use a different company, or better yet, do it yourself.

  13. Happy Camper;-).

Great company to work with I am very pleased with the services. Highly recommended. I already recommended 3 families that are moving to use New Life Vanlines for I had a very good experience with them. They were very professional especially Valerie was a delight to deal with. When I called to tell her how happy I was she asked if I can put a good review on them which I was more than happy to do so for I was very pleased with everything. Unfortunately not so many customers go back and say good things on the company it's only the unhappy ones that rush. So with great pleasure I would like to thank everyone at new life Vanlines with this successful move.

  14. Great company..

Great company to work with, can't complain about anything, the price was good and the service was even better, I moved from OR-CA and recieved my items within 3 days from the date they picked it up. Valerie is my sales rep. and I would like to take a minute and thank her personally. moving is very stressful and New Life Van Lines made my moving experiance better than I could have imagined.

  15. Smooth Move.

New life van lines moved us last week from Hollywood, CA to San Antonio, TX. They did a great and fast job. We had a lot of fun. Two guys (Juan & Victor) led by the foreman Eric made sure that the experience we had was pleasant and stress free. It was great! You guys are the best and you always kept smiling. Pickup and delivery was fast, careful and inexpensive. We would definitely tell anyone we know to use your service. Thank you.
