  1. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

It was unprofessional start to finish. They are overpriced to begin with, and when I moved my belongings back in, I noticed my rug had been stolen along with a suitcase that had very expensive clothes In it. I never received an apology, or got reimbursed.

  2. Our move with Noah's Ark's moving "services" was beyond frustrating.

-We regularly had to wait 5 days or more to hear back from our sales contact, whose default was to make excuses, tell me to do things that better client support would have been all over (e.g. “please call my dispatch at xxx-xxx-xxxx to learn more about shipping issues because that is what I would have to do anyways”…apparently the 20 K in moving charges did not include a point of contact that covered anything above and beyond anything you could do for yourself (for the cost I wish I would have done EVERYTHING myself and used Pods or some similar service as it would have gotten the project done much better for far less)

    - had to call multiple people numerous times to cobble together a flawed understanding of a simple action plan.

-Move out went relatively smooth. A team of 7 or so workers loaded the truck(s) in relatively quick fashion and followed through on the plan that had been established.

-Move in was a nightmare. After extended period of dysfunctional deficient communication we were notified of a move in date with little time to prepare. The move was scheduled to begin earlier than we would have liked. We rolled with it because we were eager to bring this unpleasant process to an end. I went to work that morning thinking that I would return 10 hours later to a furnished home. I soon learned that was wishful thinking. After returning home to find our driveway strewn with wet belongings, I discovered that the moving company had only assigned 2 workers to move into a 4500 sqf house. The movers unloaded the entire truck at once into the driveway completely oblivious to the fact that an afternoon shower is all but a certainty in the afternoon during this time of the year in the area we live. They did not have any tarps and they did not put down anything to cover the floors on the inside of our new home. After the down pour came, many of our possessions were soaked and the inside of our new home was soaked and soiled.

-The movers worked very hard but they were not well managed. Two movers took far too long to unload the truck and they were unable to position many of the larger items where we wanted them. As a result, we were left with many items in our garage and many others disassembled and/or damaged.

-When we called to communicate how poor the experience had been and express our disappointment, management was receptive. It landed on us, however, to file a claim and tend to everything that was done poorly. We paid nearly 20K for this move and do not have the time to manage a moving company’s lacks and mistakes. Had this been done the first time around as it should have been we could have avoided this correcting and project managing their mess.

I will update this review once the claim process plays out, but as it currently stands I can say of the 5 long-distance moves my wife and I have paid for over the course of the past 15 years, this one with Noah’s Ark has been the absolute worst by far.

  3. Don’t waste your time!

This company advertises multiple offices and so I contacted them for my move. I received my written quote and booked by email (how we set all this up, after initial phonecall). 5 days before I called to confirm because I did not have any follow up. At that time the “manager” informed me I was too far away and they were not coming! He was supposed to call me back but I went ahead and went with a local mover for a better price. They kept confirming with me provided me with an exact arrival time. The move went flawless. Lesson learned go local when moving local.

  4. Noahs Ark Move- Unacceptable.

Very unhappy how Noahs Ark handled our request to move some furniture in Westchester. The dispatcher Frank had recommended 4 moving guys to move piano and asked me to call the owner Jude. Called Jude to give a description of the furniture and piano in the home but he was more concerned how I would be paying and to tip the guys 20%. I should have known at that moment to use their services. Comes moving day and only 3 guys show up. I wanted some furniture to be sent to Salvation Army and due to its size Salvation Army turned the donations away. I requested for the furniture to be dropped back at the house (private home) by the garage and owner Jude, as well as dispatcher or manager Frank denied my request. They told me the only option was to bring it up back in the house or put it in storage. I could not believe my ears and was disgusted by their behavior. In addition, to dump the furniture they wanted an additional $1,500. After going back and forth over some heated conversations he allowed me back the next day to get furniture out of the truck at his Bronx location in Bruckner BLVD which cost me more money but not an additional $1,500 to dump furniture as he quoted me. I highly not recommend this company and their poor behavior was unacceptable. Please don't use this company because you may encounter an exuberant costs. bad.. bad.. bad..

  5. Excellent Moving Company.

I will gladly recommend this moving team to anyone here in NYC. They Helped me move within NYC. I moved from 8th ave to 57 & lexington. These men can surely help you pack! They packed all my items way better than I could'v packed them. Unlike me I would've just trow them in a box or bag and call it a day. But these guys packed all my stuff with so much care! I'll gladly recommend them to anyone! Great moving company! love their customer service, they surely do know how to make a customer happy! .

  6. Rats/mice/brown stink bugs in everything.

I OFFER ANYONE WHO ASKS ME: VIDEO FOOTAGE, 250 PHOTOGRAPHS, CREDIBLE ADULT AFFIDAVITS.  ALL OF THIS WAS DONE WITH SECURITY VIDEO RUNNING.     Problem description: 1- this outfit is a crime-spree on wheels.    2- they took my credit card info and within seconds rang up their fee along with $14,000 in fraud charges using another merchant's ID code. Chase Bank fraud unit told me that the real charges and the fraud charges 'originated from the same source'    3- my move was horrible.    4- a Noah’s Ark thug forced me into my car to drive 9 miles to my bank to withdraw a 'compulsory and advance gratuity' or they would not unload the trucks. All of this conduct mentioned above and below was captured by security video footage.   5- the movers were not professional movers, they were guys that seem to be picked up on street corners. They did not know how to carry a bed or dresser.   6- a very valuable old oil painting 54" x 48" that Noah's packed and stored had two boot-toe holes in it.   7- a valuable Iranian Bokhara rug had a dead rat (mummified) that had chewed its way into the sealed rug, made a nest, chewed the wool and died. The rug was a  putrefied mess.    8- There was mouse droppings in many of our stored boxes. Two boxes had large stuffed animals from India- where they use buckwheat seeds as stuffing. The toys were simply chewed rags as the mice has eaten tens-of-thousand of seeds and left the seed hulks, then the mice carried away the toy fabric to make nests.    9- our sealed mattresses and bedding were infested with this new Asiatic stink bug (they are the size of a dime) , thousands of them cascaded out of dressers and mattresses and invaded my home. I took hundreds of photos and videos of this on the day of delivery.   10- The bugs will not die! - they are more difficult to kill than even bed bugs. Six weeks later and the house is a sea of the horrid bugs. If you crush them then you get the 'stink'    11- legs to my $6000 Baker sofa had been smashed off. Noah’s tried to fool us by putting pieces of 2x4's as legs. The sofa has a skirt that goes to the floor so you would not notice this right away.    12- in another case, a dresser's bottom had been smashed off. Noah’s used this gooey aviation glue to try to make a repair. The dresser is ruined because the glue is in large globs all of over the dresser.    13- my home had just been totally restored: walls, new floors, ceilings. Noah’s novice movers left 85 impact points on my new home (gouges, scratches, scrapes, chips, holes) .There is thousands of dollars in repair work to be done now. 14- my king mattress has petroleum spilled on it. The petrol was on the outer covering (packing) and it soaked thru to the box spring. Three cardboard boxes also had oil coated on them.   14: a prized fainting couch and a King's otoman have significant water stains. They are ruined.   15- my lacquer breakfast table is chipped on every surface. This piece the movers dragged up on my brand new red teak deck and they gouged the living heck out of the new deck meanwhile chipped the entire perimeter of the table.   16- Noahs left 'other peoples' furniture at my home. Some pieces I was able to reunite with lawful owner. HOWEVER, I am missing many pieces and boxes- which means my things are ay someone else's home.    17- upon leaving, Noah’s rental truck (no, I did not get two 'Noah's trucks, I got one truck and a Budget rental truck. The Budget rental truck slammed into the exiting security gate and damaged it. Let’s see: fraudulent use of my credit card kidnapping/unlawful restraint (forced into the car by the thug) conversion and theft of my security deposit, damage to my home, damage to my possession loss of my possessions, damage to my security gate, extortion, fear:  A crime gang. And if you Google around a man in California who used Noah’s from NYC to LA has an identical story. All of Noah’s addresses they use are UPS store rental mail boxes –except the warehouse in the Bronx which is where the owner, one sales person and Angel (the owner) hide out. There is no fleet of trucks, - at least the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles in New York State in unaware of them .In a nutshell: rats/mice/pestilence/stink bugs, credit card fraud/stolen items, damaged items, severely damaged house/intimidation/criminal extortion, incorrect placement of furniture (eight beds parked in a single room) , and fear. Every last thing on this page has been captured by audio/security video, film and video. This is a criminal gang. Beware. Be scared.  .

  7. Great Movers in NYC.

We were very pleased with Eli and his crew. The move went very smoothly and was well-coordinated etc. We are tired but happy to be moved. We would certainly use you guys again(God forbid we not moving again anytime soon, we hope) and would recommend you to our friends. Thanks again for all your assistance. Karen and Bill   .

  8. My Moving in Connecticut.

Our experience with Noah's Ark was very positive.  Mitch's estimate was right on; Dimitri and his team were hardworking, meticulous and very accomodating.  The team worked hard and kept their humor during the move which I enjoy the most The one and half hour trip to my new home was sad because of leaving my old home but when I got to my new home the feeling of happies  was there, I am so happy that I chose you guys. The price was the best quote I received was the far best.
