Otto Nelson Moving and Storage.

Humans are not perfect last time I checked..but any errors made by Otto Nelson were minor at best.
Contacting them brought an evaluator to our house quickly. He estimated the moves costs and gave us a written evaluation. He was courteous and efficient overall. The only error here was that while we had mostly furniture to move, we indicated we needed a "few" boxes of minor items in cupboards moved and he listed "No boxes required." As a result the guys in the truck when they came had literally..no boxes. We dealt with it by putting the items ourselves into our own cars and moving them..but you might want to suggest that any time you have a move a least a handful of boxes be stored in the truck and taken to every single job The Movers were delayed in arrival - Promised 8-10 AM and instead arrived much later though they called and told us they would be late. When the two young men did arrive though they were friendly, courteous and ready to work. They were also skilled..laying down protection on the floors and moving swiftly and efficiently to pad furniture and load the truck. We departed ahead of them to the new house and they arrived right after so that we were able to point at the locations in the new house where we wanted the furniture placed. The new house had some twisting and narrow stairways that required intelligence and sweat to move heavy items up and they did a great job overall of doing it without complaint.
There was one minor setback, but nothing major. Overall a solid move. I thought them slightly more expensive then their competition, but we moved with their completion last time and had many more troubles and difficulties. This move left a good taste in our mouths overall.

Never use.

Horrible experience.
We moved from Racine, WI to Charleston, SC. The customer experience was sub-par. Our stuff was delayed and then on the delivery day, I receive a call from the driver that the truck broke down. So our delay turned from disappointment to more disappointment.

My correspondence with one of the owners of the company was not understanding and continued to make excuses, without ever taking personal responsibility. I would never hire this company for a long-distance move.
