  1. Lack of Empathy and Professionalism

    Do you want your toilet bowl cleaner packed with your clean linens? Boxes marked attic left in the basement? The Oz salesman who gave us our moving estimate, Moshe, upsold us on services that were never going to happen we since learned (such as removing wardrobe boxes at the end of the move). Their customer service rep, Allison, made the minimal effort to repair a broken window by contacting a single vendor who happened to be in completely different state. When he was unavailable she left it on us to resolve. David Dosen did absolutely nothing. Avoid this company. Especially in New Jersey, where they are unprepared to service their customers.

  2. Great Experience

    I had a great experience with Oz.

    This is my third move with Oz.

    Jennifer provided great customer service in quoting and scheduling my move.

    The moving crew of Pablo, Luis and Felix were excellent. They were very efficient and handled everything with care and took note of boxes marked Fragile.

    The move out location was a 5th floor walk up but they never complained at all and were amazingly fast at moving the apartment contents.

    The following day the crew arrived promptly at the time promised.

    Overall an amazing experience and I would readily recommend Oz.

  3. The best moving experience start to finish

    This was my 5th time moving with Oz. The salesperson was accommodating and helpful in organizing my move and answering all my questions. Once the movers arrived they were polite and went above and beyond to make the move seamless and quick. All my furniture arrived in perfect condition and nothing was cracked or broken. They helped move around furniture and made sure everything fit. Hands down would use them again (and again)!

    They hold your items and demand more money once the move starts. Buyer beware. Customer service is horrible mean and uncaring

    We used oz moving company last month in CT and having moving already 8 times in the past 11 years we have some experience in this area. And we recommend them 100%! They were on time, professional and responsible. They dissemble and re assembled everything perfectly, unwrapped and cleaned after themselves and made the whole moving day so much easier on us. Thank you for your professionalism and will definitely call again for my next move!

  6. AVOID AT ALL COST!!

    Avoid at all cost. Used OZ Moving to move from NY to FL. Charged $2,500 for a small 1 bedroom which is way over priced, the delivery was delayed by a week, they broke a chair, sofa legs, and dresser drawers, missing/stolen 1 box full of expensive clothes and jackets worth thousands of $, delivery staff arrived with no clue of what they are doing and NO TOOLS to assemble the furniture!!!!!!! Rude Staff and NO customer service, no response to calls or emails, no compensation whatsoever and no efforts made to locate my missing box. I will be looking to legally pursue this matter.

    AVOID this company, they will take your money and never respond to any calls or emails. Bunch of scammers.

  7. Would give 0 stars if I could

    I would never trust this moving company again. Half of my furniture was completely broken and the customer service I got after submitting a claim for all of the broken furniture was a disgrace. For the money it costs, I would not pay Oz moving again. In addition to broken furniture, the movers brought in furniture that WAS NOT mine and were confused when I was told too much stuff came. What if my furniture was delivered to someone else? For the trouble with this move, they can at least provide better customer service and better reimbursement. Disappointing, wouldn't recommend.

  8. Absolute Nightmare.

    DO NOT use Oz moving. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have never seen a company more disorganized in my entire life. They ended up stealing some of my personal property. The movers were rude and unprofessional. They wardrobes were turned upside down and all my clothes were damaged at the bottom. Avoid this nightmarish company.

  9. They’ll break everything.

    One of the worst moving experiences. Personnel were pretty rough with the move. Damaged one corner of my cupboard, rolling my items across the building hallway, and worst of all broke my expensive TV!

    They said they’d use a Tv Box to transport my TV, but nada.. nothing! It simply was moved with a cloth covering and now I have a damaged screen.

    I’ve used other movers before who were far more gentle and offered better care.

    It was my mistake for not taking the additional insurance, but who knew they’d completely skip the TV box. Extremely unprofessional!

  10. Great move during COVID-19 Crisis.

    I had a great experience with Oz on my last move during COVID-19. The movers were all very conscious of the rules and made me feel very safe. I had a very small window of time to move and they were very helpful and kind. I will definitely use them again if I need to move.

  11. Bait and switch, called police due to fear for my safety.

    I hired Oz to move from NYC to Atlanta based on reputation and Better Business Bureau grading of A+. When I booked, I explicitly asked if they contracted out their moves and was told no. Everything went smoothly on the NYC end of the move. However, the Atlanta end of the move was horrific. My items were delivered by a contracted company with a BBB rating of F. The contracted foreman arrived at my apartment complex and scoped out the unloading location and the apartment. While making small talk he mentioned that this he had been with his company for 1 year and that is the longest job he had ever held. He also told us he drove from NYC in 10 hours (google maps says it should take over 13 hours). I was already concerned about this individual based on comments like these as well as his bizarre affect. He asked if he could go get breakfast, to which I said yes, but then he disappeared for three hours. When I called him to ask him where he was, he became angry with me and started yelling at me. When he returned, he became progressively more volatile and irate as the day went on. He damaged all of my wooden furniture and parts of the building. For example, he was moving the couch down the hallway on a roller with his colleague and rammed the couch into the wall causing the dry wall to fall off. When I confronted him about this damage and other building damage, he admitted to doing it and said that’s why insurance exists. He also told me that movers can get revenge on their customers by destroying all of their stuff. Throughout the day I had been in contact with Oz and updating them. Nearing the end of the move, he threatened me with a box opener blade and told me he “would hate to see someone get hurt.” At this point I called 911 in fear for my safety, which I have never done in my life, because this individual was emotionally unstable. By this time, my family arrived to the apartment and we kicked the mover out of the building. We moved the mattress from the loading dock and the couch from the hallway ourselves since the move was not finished. I refused to stay in the apartment that night because I was afraid that this man might return and retaliate since he knew my address.

    On Monday, I began conversations with Nancy at Oz. She was extremely unpleasant to interact with and never once apologized for my experience. She told me that she was not there, so she was unable to tell what happened and it was my word against the foreman’s. She sided with the foreman even though I am a physician with no past records of misconduct. I showed her numerous other reviews that I found online about the foreman’s behavior, including some other individuals who had also called 911 on him due to frightening interactions with him. She offered $500 to make the situation end, which we declined and decided to get our credit card company involved. Fortunately, some of the damages were covered by the private moving insurance that we previously purchased.

    I am appalled not only by what happened on our move day but also the company’s response. Oz is a company that lies to its customers and then puts its customers in danger. They contract with sketchy, unscrupulous companies who hire emotionally/mentally unstable employees in order to save themselves money. They clearly do not care about their customers or take responsibility for their actions. Please choose any other moving company and save yourself the nightmare that I experienced.

  12. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

    I had hands down the worst experience with Oz Moving & Storage — ranging from being lied to and bullied and having items ruined.

    I was mis-sold services by the sales rep Bill (who is no longer with the company). He told me various untrue things that would be part of my moving package, including that the company had HQ and storage facilities in San Francisco, that Oz Moving was familiar with San Francisco in general regarding city ordinances, and that my items would be stored in San Francisco and not New York City. I even had to use an email from Bill to prove to the Oz Moving that I was not responsible for calling the city of San Francisco to reserve parking space for the moving truck. No customer of any moving service should be responsible for coordinating with any city for parking space.

    I complained to customer service and had an extremely unpleasant experience with Shadeequah and Allison. Shadeequah spoke to me on the phone with attitude that should not be held for anyone in customer service, almost in an bullying attempt when she said "Oh I know your account." She was extremely rude and unhelpful in the matter when I complained. I escalated the issue to Allison, who was further unhelpful. When on the phone with Allison, I had told her of my experience with Bill and the movers that picked up my items in New York -- her attitude was extremely poor and not conducive to anyone in the customer service industry. When I mentioned that I was in California and the time she was calling me at was an early hour, instead of apologizing or saying thank you for letting me know, she had the audacity to spew "Well how as I supposed to know?" which tells me that she should not be part of the customer service team and should not be customer facing. The attitude of the customer service reps was astonishingly bad.

    Furthermore, items were broken and ruined. The condition of the boxes was atrocious - you can tell that Oz Moving did not care of how they stored my items or loaded the boxes to the the truck -- boxes were smashed, handles were broken off of plastic bins and suitcases. My couch was ruined due to the dye from the blankets used to wrap the couch bled onto the couch's fabric. When I had professional cleaners assess the damage of the couch, they even said that “reputable moving companies doesn’t use such shoddy blankets in moving - the dye doesn’t transfer if the blanket is of quality material.”

    It was shocking how bad this company is at providing moving services. I felt used and manipulated by Oz Moving and would warn anyone that uses that - beware of poor customer service and moving services.

  13. Great Experience!

    I recently completely my 4th move with Oz, and I am again very satisfied with the service received, they really are a top notch organization. This most recent move was the result of a flood in my apartment, and the easiest part – between the insurance company, finding a place to live – was dealing with Oz. Apparently I’m not the first person this has happened to, everyone I worked with put me at ease. My foreman was Jerome, he is a rock star! My new hero! I am a customer for life!

    My experience was great! This moving crew is amazing! Very cautious, efficient and quick! My household items have not been damaged, and this moving business estimate provided me with the right cost. I don't normally write reviews, but I felt these guys deserve it this time! A great job moving around the world!

  15. Terrible Job & Customer Service.

    Terrible experience with Oz - very surprised since they came highly recommended and was a premium price. Paid for them to pack up my kitchen and fragiles and then transfer them to a personal truck I had rented. On top of a bad pack job, which is detailed below, I also had a pretty crappy experience with their customer service rep and GM - Alison and Nancy.

    In their defense they will say that they were upset that the truck wasn't big enough to pack in all of our stuff. BUT, I was pretty flexible in leaving furniture behind - a pullout sofa, high table and TV stand. I don't think this justifies packing things up incorrectly to create damage to the items.

    I have a attached a number of photos so you can see 1) the damages and 2) how things were packed up

    Damages
    - An antique chest was not wrapped up in the bubble wrap and was placed on top of another wooden chest - you can clearly see what happened
    - The AC was not put in a proper place so the vent got dented
    - You can see a medal rod sticking into a a wrapped bed frame, this created quite a scratch in the frame

    Packing Issues
    - The crew on the other side rightly pointed out that a number of heavy boxes were put on light ones
    - Items that could pierce through boxes were packed in bad areas that damages boxes and could have broken items (we have no unpacked all the boxes yet so I'm worried that items are broken)

    Items needed now
    - When the crew arrived, we specifically asked them NOT to pack up a number of bags because we needed those items over the next 2 months. They said they would put them in boxes clearly labeled Open First, but about 8 pairs of my shoes and some other clothes were nowhere to found when unpacking. We had to rummage through ALL boxes after we unloaded and packed everything away - so an extra hr of work for the other crew. We did find some of my wife's stuff, but we never found my shoes as they are probably at the bottom of a box that was NOT labeled Open First. I now have 3 pairs of shoes for 2-months - or I will have to go back to the storage unit and pull everything out to try and find the box with them in it.

    I also ended up paying over $100 for more boxes and packing materials that I wasn't aware of.
