  1. Moving from North Yorkshire to Oxford.

    We moved house last Friday 31 August 2018. Pickfords arrived on the Thursday and started packing up the house. The team of four was led by Lee who was calm and very efficient and got everything done and all the fragile items specially packed etc. The actual move into the house in Oxford was on the Saturday morning and again Lee was careful, and extremely helpful with a good sense of humour which really helped in such a stressful situation!
    I would definitely recommend Pickfords as a Removal company. This is the second time we have used them, and on both occasions, the expertise and care and efficiency of all the staff involved, made the situation as nice as it possibly could be!

  2. Lovely gents who did a great job.

    The two men who helped me move arrived on time and really went the extra mile to help. They were friendly, courteous and very conscientious, always checking if the items they were moving were where I wanted them. I’ve moved a few times with Pickfords and they’ve always been good. I would definitely use them again for any future moves. Thanks very much.

  3. Bad Customer & Removal Service.

    International shipping is more like international theft. I arranged a pickup service for a large suitcase size from UK to Malaysia. The guy on the phone (Stephen) promised a full luggage wrapping to prevent and potential theft.

    When the luggage reached, the whole luggage is a mess, ANYTHING VALUABLE WITHIN THE LUGGAGE WAS OPENED AND STOLEN! wrapping was only the handle portion of the luggage! Absolutely disappointed with the service, as I had put so much trust in them, turns out to be a BIG let down. Would never ever recommend Pickfords to anyone thinking to move their personal belongings or business trading!

  4. Poor service.

    I asked about details fro removal earlier this year and submitted a full list of my requirements. I then asked in August could we move. Had to submit the details again, then again then again it seemed every email was a test to see if I could repeat myself. Then they come back with a quote of £1500 - to move no more than a small van's worth of stuff, no furniture. They wasted my time over a period of a month with the pointless questions then came back with a quote which was too late for my desired move date.

  5. Moving House.

    Excellent customer service with the company to get everything arranged. The teams moving us out of our old house and into our new were very pleasant, friendly and ready to answer any questions that we had, silly or otherwise. I would heartily recommend them.

    The whole process form the start to the end has been fantastic. The crews that helped us with our move could not have been more friendly, professional and helpful at all stages and they are an absolute credit to Pickfords. We would definitely recommend Pickfords to anyone.

  7. Pickfords.

    Do not use this company.they sent a van far too small for my possessions.everything was crammed in.on arrival at my new address when the doors of the van were opened my goods started to fall out.almost every item of furniture is damaged in some way.I claimed from them but settled on a small sum because they were dragging it out,but it does not cover the cost of the damage.I would not recommend them to anyone .thought they were the best but was very wrong.

  8. 2-day house removal went well.

    I was very pleased with the service from Pickfords. Their assessment of time required to pack and unpack was accurate. Agreement of the move date and other details went very smoothly. The packing materials were provided promptly and also removed when requested after the move. The staff team were all pleasant, and worked very hard to get the job done on time. I would recommend their service to anyone facing the daunting task of moving house!!

  9. Removal to Market Rasen.

    Good service right from the start. Removals men were friendly, efficient and worked incredibly hard. We used Pickfords packing service which went very well, couldn't have managed without it. We had some model engineering items which we were worried about due to their weight but all went well. Overall everything was as it should have been, went smoothly and was well organised. Definitely recommend this firm.

  10. Pickfords Removal.

    The move from the initial consultation (by John Turton) through to delivery at the new address ran exceptionally smoothly.
    All aspects of the management of our move were handled professionally by Patricia Hunter.
    The pick up at our old address was prompt and carefully undertaken and the delivery to the new address was prompt, efficient and professional throughout. John and Geoff were our removal men - courteous and friendly at all times.
    It was a good experience, making it as stress-free as possible.

  11. Extremely poor service and customer care.

    I have chosen Pickfords for my international relocation from Wirral to Bologna, in Italy, and despite of being the most expensive company I could find, the service is extremely poor.

    I was promissed to have my goods delivered within 2 to 4 weeks from dispatch, but with prior confirmation and agreement.

    After 2 a bit more than weeks with no contact from the company, we decided to chase them. They reacted saying they were ready to deliver, probably on the week after. No confirmation of date was given, and we were trying every day to get some feedback, as we had only that week of holidays before starting working in Italy. Since there was no confirmation at all, we decided to go away from the city for 3 days, on a Wednesday.

    Later on the same day, they decided to answer our email and ask if they could deliver the goods on Friday that week, to what I said no, as I was away, and requested to postpone it to the next Monday.
    They came back telling me that I would have to pay an extra of EUR 1K in this case, as the goods were on their way to Bologna already!

    I immediately complained to the Move Manager about my dissapointment with the costs and lack of agreement about the date before shiping after not hearing anything from them for few weeks.
    In any case, to avoid more delays and costs, my husband came back to Bologna (from our already paid holidays) to receive the goods.

    On the date defined by Pickfords, goods were delivered, but the staff informed us that they would not be able to reassemble the furniture (that they disassembled and packed themselves), since the parts were not properly identified.

    We have contacted the Move Manager via email to request a date for them to come back and reassemble the furniture, but we never got any reply.

    We also requested him in a separate email to send someone to collect the boxes after we have finished to unpack few days later, also never heard back from Pickfords.

    On top of all of it, several items were damaged and scratched.

    In summary, the delivery date was decided without any confirmation from our side, the reassemling, removal of boxes and packing material were not done (despite of being included in the price), and we paid for the most expensive service ever.

    I would strongly advise anyone against using this company.

  12. Pickfords.

    Initially we were going to hire a van to move ourselves but health issues meant that this was not going to be possible. We spoke to several removal companies and decided to choose Pickfords. On the day the guys arrived early (they called ahead and asked if we were ok with this) and I could not have asked for better people to help us move. They were absolutely brilliant. I can honestly say that we could not have moved without them! They were polite, helpful, quick thinking and extremely pro-active. I would not hesitate in using Pickfords again and would highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

  13. Cannot thank them enough.

    From the first contact with Stacey Fox who was our move manager to the actual move we cannot thank them enough. Stacey was amazing organising a last minute change to put our things into storage as our house (new build) wasn't ready in time.

    The lads who did the actual move were awesome. The weather was really hot and they worked amazingly hard to pack everything up and take it all to Cornwall for us.

    Would definitely use Pickfords again they took the stress away and would recommend them highly.

  14. Very good service at short notice.

    As we were moving to a new build house the actual moving date wasn't fixed until late in the process. Pickfords had availability at the required date and came round to "measure up" promptly and a date was set. They offer a cancellation waiver which we took up and it turned out that the move was delayed at very short notice, which Philippa the move manager took in her stride and was able to rearrange for a future date. We also got a courtesy call the day before the move which was appreciated.
    The moving team themselves were very good and we could see they were taking care with our items.
    all in all cannot fault Pickfords throughout and made a stressful experience less so, so thanks to Phillippa and her team for making things easier.

  15. Excellent speedy service.

    From the moment I started the enquiry, Pickfords helped me decide what service I wanted, the charges were clear and exact and the communication was excellent. Moving day was incredibly efficient with two chaps loading the van quickly and transporting to my new address with no breakages and completed within three hours. I was incredibly impressed by the whole experience and I will definitely use Pickfords again for any future move. Many thank!
