  1. DO NOT USE - terrible experience.

AVOID. Do not ever use this company. Every part of the process was terrible.

-At pickup, they trashed my house and tried to extort more money than what was agreed upon. Literally they tried to intimidate us into handing them more cash, and left behind a bunch of garbage all over the yard.

-Once they had my items, they pulled a Major Bait-and-Switch on the price, then held my goods hostage in order to extort money from me.

-Once they delivered my items, they pulled the same move, showing up with the wrong equipment and trying to squeeze more cash out due to their incompetence.

The move ended up costing me literally double what we agreed upon. I never would have paid except they threatened to dump my stuff on the side of the road.

One customer service rep was nice, but the drivers and the company owner are some of the most rude people I've ever encountered. And on top of that, a bunch of things were damaged. Seriously - never ever use this company.

  2. Moving.

People never I repeat never use this company. From first contact person Carol who lies to Lisa who lies to Adam who lies overcharged me from Huntsville to my broken and damaged stuff they could care less. No morals at all. I did not receive any reimbursement for damaged stuff. They block my phone calls. They are just a bunch of thieves. Please I repeat anyone thinking of using this company do not. You will regret it if you do. I'm going to file with the Georgia DA office.

  3. Horrible.

Its very rare that I give reviews but this is very much needed. PRA is the worst moving company that I've ever dealt with. Not only are they unprofessional but also liars, and inconsiderate of the customers needs. That being said, my items weren't picked up and dropped off when they were supposed to be. Some of my items were broke, and the communication is horrible. I signed a contact stating I would pay a certain amount when scheduling the move, and the remaining amount once it's dropped off. The full amount came out of my account the same dayI! Dan is a terrible salesman and I truly hope that he gets fired very soon. Actually, I hope that this entire company is shut down. I'm currently in the process of filing a complaint so they are one step closer to shutting down.

  4. PRA Movers, Norcross GA.

I wouldn't even give them one star..if I had the choice, I'd deduct a couple, a couple hundred. They state that PRA stands for Professional, Reliable & Affordable, but instead it should stand for the following..
P=PATHETIC, for the quality of service you get from them as a company. R=REGRETFUL, Because you're most assuredly going to regret hiring them to handle your move. A=AWFUL & UNAFFORDABLE, Awful customer service from the start of your move to the end. Most certainly unaffordable because once your move is complete your going to have to spend even more money to replace your belongings.
First, when we booked, we booked THREE moves. One for me in December 2015, and th other two for my mother & aunt. We were moving from Nashville, TN to Winston Salem, NC. We booked for an EMPTY 26 ft. straight truck. I also informed them upon our first contact that my husband had over 20 years experience in the household moving & storage industry, working for places such as North American, United, Atlas, Paul Arpin & Mayflower. I told them they would be smart to send their best driver, if he even exists, to handle our move because of this very fact, that he would be on top of their every move. When they showed up, they had a 26 ft RYDER straight truck, with another shipment loaded on the front of it. Once we realized this truck was already partially loaded, my husband told them our shipment would not fit. The driver insisted he was a "good stacker" and that he could get it all on the truck. We continued to refuse that they load our shipment on the truck with the other one. They then decided to "go get another truck" but instead showed back up with the very same truck, as if we can't read truck numbers, and per the helper, had unloaded the other shipment into a mini-storage, for delivery in Knoxville. They continued to work fairly well, until they got about 90% loaded, and the driver tells us that we had a problem. That we had went over our estimated 1460 cubic feet by 450 additional cubic feet and there would be a charge of $525.00 plus fuel surcharge. However, he would make us a deal and we could pay him just $500.00 and we would be even. Uhm, NO..NEVER in all my years of helping my husband on a move did he act as a salesperson for the moving company or make any "deals" with them to save them money. That should be handled through their office. They continue to try and convince myself & my husband that we are "over" according to Dan & Carol, this truck is 2000-2200 cubic feet, however according to Ryder (this is their truck right) the cubic feet is 1600. SO, I bring this to their attention, IF I was indeed over, my belongings wouldn't fit on this truck if it was 1600 cubic feet, and would be tight at best at 2000-2200 cubic feet. But "Mr. United" and his wife were "stupid" according to Dan in the office because Ryder didn't know what they were talking about (even though this is a Ryder owned truck) and we needed to get out a measuring tape & measure the truck & we would see that he was right..at this point, I definitely don't believe him or anyone in the office, or their driver..I choose to believe Ryder..I think they know their vehicles. So after raising immortal cain with them, they decide their "won't be any extra charges." So they finish loading the truck and tell us to expect them between 11AM and 12 Noon the next day. So the next day, my husband called them about 10:30AM and the driver said to expect them around 2:30-3:30 due to being stuck in construction. So, that's 3-4 and half hours late at this point. Then after calling the office at 4:30 because the driver is now NOT answering his cell phone, they can't get in touch with him either. Finally at 5:15 he calls and says he will be at my house by 7PM, ultimately he shows up at 8PM. At this point, I have called our local Sherriff's Department, because we are furious, they have agreed to sit there while the truck is unloaded & keep the peace. First, when he backs into the drive way, we notice a HUGE gaping hole in the back door of the truck, with NO explanation of how this happened. They opened the back door & we notice that our belongings have been rearranged, and when questioned, again, no explanation, just uh, uh, uh. So then they begin to unload, and about 20-20 minutes into unloading the deputy rings me a report number because even he sees that they have done things poorly & says I may need this in the end. Our Tempur-pedic mattress was soaking wet, our Ethan Allen King Sized Bed also had a chunk of wood missing out of it. Several pieces were not even padded. There is things broken or missing completely at this point. I have also noticed at this point that TWO complete pages of inventory are missing and after 4-5 times of asking for them, they still have not complied and given them to me. My husbands Craftsman Riding Mower was severely dented, and the hood is also warped. No explanation. All the driver would say when we pointed out damages was "take a picture" and I have at this point taken about 100 pictures of different items. Never at once have we received an apology from the driver, or the office staff. I was told by the owner/boss to "get a life" because we didn't know what we were talking about. I sincerely recommend that you do your research and hire a different company, even though it may cost more, you get what you pay for. My attorney has been contacted and a law suit is very likely in the near future. Save yourself some time & heartache as well as undue stress and RUN when they contact you for your business.

  5. Avoid at All Costs.

PRA (Professional, Affordable, Reliable) Movers - Atlanta GA
Never, under any circumstance should you hire PRA movers in Atlanta GA for any moving service. They are a company that cares only for their own financial gain, and has no sense of customer service. They will underquote you order to earn your business, and then hike the price anyway they can when it comes time for your pickup and delivery dates. I cannot emphasize enough, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You are much better off going with an honest company for your moving needs, even if they quote you higher from the beginning. In the end, you will end up paying less. If you go with a scam operation like PRA, you will pay for it in the end financially.
In my case, I was not living in the same state as my belongings (in storage) when I arranged the move, and as such was unable to be physically present when they did my pickup in Nashville TN. So, I had to send them the key to my storage unit for them to open it (which they did not return to me because they lost it and refused to refund, but more on that later). Because I could not be there on pickup day and could not do a  visual itemization of my belongings, I had to estimate with Carol, my PRA sales representative, in order to approximate the amount of my belongings and thus, the amount of my quote. I did the best I could remembering all of my items, and I emphasized over and over again with Carol that this was an approximation and that I could not remember every little thing. I was very worried about overage charges. She told me not to worry, and that she would simply put a few hundred dollars worth of ‘miscellaneous charges’ to cover any extra items. This would have been fine, except come move day I receive a text message from the driver of the moving truck that my bill would be $800 more expensive than what I was quoted from Carol, even though she ‘assured’ me that the miscellaneous charge would cover any extra items I had. And of course, no one at PRA was available to speak with me that day, and the driver of the vehicle barely spoke English. So, then begins the saga of me endeavoring to get Carol and the PRA staff to honor my original quote price, for which I have email documentation wherein she repeatedly assured me that the overage charges would not be a problem. PRA, of course, would not deliver my items until I had paid the next installment of my bill, which now including the adjusted price with the extra $800. Over the next six weeks, I managed to get them to agree to drop my price by $250. Great right? A win for the customer! Well, actually, on my delivery date, lo and behold the truck that they have is so monstrous that they claim that cannot move it into my apartment complex, even though I communicated the configuration of my complex well in advance. It addition, they could have come though a different gate and pulled right up to my front door. But what did they do? They pulled in through the most awkward gate, and then charged me a ‘long carry’ fee of $300 to bring my items into my apartment. Even though all they had to do was back the truck up and pull in through a different gate. But do they care about the customer? No, they simply care about any means to make their $300 back. And of course my delivery was on a Sunday, so no one at PRA in Atlanta was available to help, so I was forced to deal with the rude driver who was completely unhelpful and held my belongings hostage until I agreed to his fee.  Naturally, the next week I contacted PRA and explained my situation, foolishly believing that they would care enough about their customer and, given the circumstances, refund the unjustified the long carry. I again, foolish of me, because they refused.
So, to summarize, I was overcharged $800, then charged an extra $300 for the unnecessary long carry, and then finally they lost my storage unit lock/key and had the nerve to tell me that they never promised to return it to me. The argument I posed that those were my personal property did nothing. PRA movers is a scam operation and has no interest in developing and maintaining a relationship with its customers. If you value your money and reducing stress from your life, avoid them. Feel free to contact meto ask further questions if you are considering them for your moving needs.
