Great move.
I am so happy with these guys. They were super easy to set up with and called to verify the day before the move. They were fast, polite, and very hard working. I will recommend them to any friends or family who move. Great experience! We even moved a piano, had an extra stop at a storage unit, and our apartment was on the 8th floor with a really long hallway. Exceptional value.
Moving with Premium Moving & Storage.
Premium (Columbia, Md.) has now moved me twice and I have been very pleased both times. Calling and arranging the move went smoothly. The guys arrived on time and did everything very professionally. The leader, Dennis, could not have been more accomodating and helpful. Most of all, when we arrived at our destimation, they were up against a tight timeline to get everything unloaded in the basement of a high-rise building and brought up to my fifth floor condo before the building closed down at 5pm. They performed a miracle in accomplishing this. I cannot speak more highly of my experience with them.
This place is a scam.
Warning do not use this company you've been warned-believe the negative reviews-google this company and you'll find more honest reviews of how big of a scam this is total ripoff! They move entirely too slow, take things apart that do not need to be taken apart, bubble wrap everything, and use ridiculous amounts of tape! All of this is part of their scam! I paid $600 to have a 2 bedroom condo moved to a 2 bedroom apartment. 5 hours - 1-hour drive - and I had to end up helping take some of my own boxes and items into my new home because I was not going to give these scam artist another dime of my money. The military has always moved me, but I am moving during the middle of an assignment, so had to hire movers. Should have done my research. I hope that my review and the other negative reviews you have read about premium moving in Maryland will save you from being scammed by this company. They appear professional. But looks can be very deceiving! I will say that they did not damage or lose any of my belongings, but the military movers who have inventoried and packed my furniture well over four times have never broken anything either, and they didn't do half of the wrapping (wasting of tape and bubble wrap) don't trust a company who has to filter their reviews because the majority of them are bad! P.S.Those of you who filled out comment cards (if these are real comments from actual customers) your name, address and phone number is posted with your review on a photo bucket website! Click on the "Click here to view more" link on their webpage Just scroll through and you can find several people's information. That alone makes me think that this is not a professional company. Premium moving & storage. You may want to do some research on privacy act instead of trying to rip people off trying to boost your companies ratings via the internet could land you in some legal troubles!
Excellent service.
I used Premium Moving and Storage already twice.I was very afraid at first, because I've heard a lot of stories when movers do not show up at all. Both times there was confirmation a day before, they were in time, very profesional crew, very polite. All my furniture was profesionally wrapped and nothing was damaged. I definately recomend this company. .
Excellent movers.
They were courteous and efficient..they came in assessed my needs and got right to work..they went a little bit over the time we discussed on the phone (30 min) but the stairs proved a bit more difficult than I had anticipated..love them and I will call them again.
Dont Use This Company.
I called to get a quote on three seperate occassions each time I call I received a different price point. When I challenge the woman Lema she was very rude and hung the phone up in my face. This is a very shady company and I would not recommend any one using them for a move.
Damage.
When I asked Judy Space owner to look at damage she refused. She usedprofanity several times and tried to pressure me to drop acomplaint. BEWARE! She refused to have the truck driver stop to examine damage he caused to neigbor's home. Said I was being [EDIT] and complained about the job taking 2 days. I asked their driver to not drive on the neigbor's lawns when they left. I was extremely polite. Didn't help. They caused extreme damage and refused to stop and look at the problem 5 minutes after they caused it. I would never contact or use thiscompany for any services. I also would be glad to hear what ms Spaces version of the problem is on this forum.
No Show.
Took off work for moving day. Scheduled for a 2-4pm move- said they ran into traffic in the am- never showed for my move. Granted- she did call to let me know they wouldn't make it by 4. When I called around 5:30 to make sure they were coming- she informed me that we had a 'very bad situation'- because they weren't coming. I had already moved all the boxes and small stuff out on my front porch/yard. EVERYTHING WAS PACKED- including my bed- which I also wrapped for them. Now have to haul all my stuff back inside so it isn't stolen overnight. AWFUL. .
Horrible Horrible Service.
I wish I had read the reviews before booking this "company"! Like everyone else, we received awful service. The movers arrived over 3 hours late, after several un returned calls to the main office. When they did arrive they did not mention any of the fuel charges or packing supply charges they planned to try to slide in. We had all of our small stuff moved and only needed the furniture loaded. They wanted to charge $48 to bubble wrap the tv! The worst came upon arrving at the house! At 6:00 (2.5 hours into the 3 hour paid move) we were told the time was up and we had to pay $30 for them to get the rest of the furniture off the truck. We were willing to pay just to get the whole ordeal over with however we only had $20 bills. Sooooo I tried to hand him $40 and was told that he didn't have change. I said "ok, I'll go get change while you finish up" He then says "No, you better get change now, I don't work for free and your clock is ticking" They refused to bring anything else off of the truck even after we just said to put it in the yard and we would take it in ourself. They would not let us onto the truck to remove our stuff and tried to close and padlock the doors. I had to call the police to get my furniture! When the officers arrived they read the contract and told the movers they had no right to charge us anything extra and they had no right to hold our furniture. Really sad the police had to get involved to get a supposedly professional company to finish their job!
Dishonest & Unprofessional.
Do not use this company! They are dishonest and unprofessional. We hired them for a Sat. morning pickup. At 7pm Fri. night, when it was too late for us to hire someone else, they called to cancel, claiming a flat tire. The secretary would not provide any info about talking to a manager, using another truck, or why they couldn't fix a tire in an hour or so. We suspect that they received a larger order from another customer, so they simply dumped us.
Threatened Me!!
Please do not fall for the "Warning! This is not an actual customer" line. I fell for it, because after reading these reviews, I called and asked Alesandra if they charged for fuel or packing materials, etc and she WROTE an EMAIL (in writing) that said "NO!". I then specifically asked, "Do you charge a fuel surcharge or any sales tax?" They wrote back in an email and said "NO!"
I thought I was safe because I had it all in writing, but when it came to deliver my furniture, Edward held it HOSTAGE and charged me per minute UNTIL I PAID them. I showed them all the paperwork I had in writing and he didn't care. I called the police, but the two officers told me that they couldn't do anything unless he was threatening me physically. I feel SOOO stupid for not believing all these reviews!
Luckily, though, I called my credit card company and explained that I was going to sign the paperwork under DURESS and direct THREATS to steal my furniture (valued at $5000) and that I wanted to immediately stop the charges as fraudulent. I have all the paperwork to prove that we had an agreed upon terms, so I think that I can win this in court!
Stay Away !
Poor service, rip off company! Don't take their service, they ripped us on some nonsense packing service for $316, never disclosed the fuel surcharge and the packers were very slow!
Stay away from them, filed a BBB complaint for them.
Really bad moving experience!
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! My experience with them is that they are dishonest and extremely unprofessional. In spite of booking my move date and time with them a month in advance, the company postponed my move time from 10 a.m. to 2 pm due to their truck being "in the shop". But, they were one and half hours late on top of the reschedule because they were moving someone else before me. I was estimated 4 hours and it took more time than was estimated and was charged for packing tape which was never addressed in the initial discussion with the company. I felt that the movers were really rude. I would not use them again.
I did my due diligence with this company before selecting them by reading reviews on this site and others. I should have headed the negative ones! It was a really bad experience!
Everything was great!
These guys moved me just fine. They do charge for extra packaging but so do everyone else. But you can always use the free blankets. Job was done fast and all my stuff was safe. Got no complaints.
Professional movers.
Long story short- I had to move 4 times in the last 5 months due to me separating from my wife. So I've decided to stick with one moving company and also use their storage. Premium Moving & Storage offered me the best price and repeat customer discount. All in all I was pleased with their services. I dealt with towe of their foremans- Dennis and Edward and hey both were the best. Now I'm settled in my new place and will definetly adverstise them to friends and family.
