  1. Thieves and very unprofessional

We used Progressive for our move in July 2019. The represenative was very nice on the phone and we agreed on a price. The movers that showed up were not what we expected. 2 did not even speak english. They were a week late delivering our furniture. We had to keep calling to get them to deliver. When they arrived we were told they needed more money to get our furniture off the truck. Alot of things badly damaged and many items missing. I took pictures and sent them to the company and they would not reply are return calls. We were out $10,000 in repairs and missing items. We have now gotten a lawyer. He says he is not having any luck recovering are money. Looks like court is next.

  2. Long Distance Moving

They are BROKERS. You will pay 2 companies. Was given price after giving list of boxes, furniture, etc. When truck arrived, said it won't fit in his truck. Didn't make sense. He left and 10 min. later called & said for an additional about $2,00 & he'd be back shortly. Doesn't make sense. Told him no. Be ware of BROKERS

  3. Worst mover ever 0 rating

I don’t even no where to start on what a bad experience we had with this mover. First of all they showed up 3 hours late.

Our move was in Oct. of 2019 from N.C. to Denver area. At the end of Dec. we set the date for delivery. The driver and one other guy showed up and later on on a guy who had seen an ad on Craigslist. It seems that’s where they get there “professional” help. When I started opening the boxes things were just thrown in - 3 broken lamps, the contents of my desk just dumped in a box, sewing machine broken, jewelry I had left in my dresser with some clothes stolen that I had told the packer to not touch, lawn mower missing, pottery items broken and missing, China platter broken, cut glass bowl broken in a hundred pieces, card table missing, deep scratches in my oak dining table, probably more I can’t think of right now. Vacuum cleaner broken.

They received my claim on 2/24 - my calls said nobody was doing claims due to COVID. Now they say the company has been bought out and they can’t find my claim. Originally they did find it but said the girl working it had quit. So basically I’ve been told I’ll get nothing.

My advice don’t deal with this company or possibly any other from Florida

  4. Misrepresented property damage coverage

More than 90% of our furniture arrived scratched, gouged, chipped or dented. Furniture arrived tightly packed in minimum sized truck with absolutely zero packing material used between items. Watching the pieces come of the truck with deep scratches and gauges was painful to say the least. The driver and his helper kept apologizing reporting that they hadn’t packed the truck. The unloading took extra time as I photographed the multiple blemishes on each piece.

I had been convinced during the quoting process to buy additional replacement coverage for an additional $895 to ensure our furniture was protected from loss or damage. After multiple calls to Progressive and getting only misdirection and runaround with my request for reimbursement, they finally admitted no insurance was available and no additional insurance was purchased with my payment. I asked for my insurance payment back only to be ignored repeatedly. I am completely at a loss to understand how a company can sell a service with no intention to provide any of the service they promote.

They do not perform to any standards you would expect from a legitimate service provider.

  5. STAY AWAY

First let me start by saying, shame on me for not doing my research better as I am in the logistics industry. However this was a last minute move and didn't have very many options. They quoted us 6K (ALL CASH) and when they got there a day late, they suddenly needed more money (ALL CASH)....which we didn't have because it was 8:30 PM after they had been there all day and nothing was open with Covid to get the additional funds. My husband told them to just unload the truck. After 2 hours of standoff, someone from the so called "company" agreed to let us write a check. Fast forward (NC. to MO.) after showing up a day late and being there until 1:00 AM, they are pulling out and run over a boulder in our yard and destroy the lighting, irrigation system and yard. My husband gets in his car and is chasing them down because they just decided to leave. 2 miles later they pull over and they sign an agreement admitting fault. After several phones calls on when we would be getting our possessions and seeing the reviews, I was nervous. A Russian lady who is one of the owners kept telling us it would be Tuesday, which turned out to be Thursday. Guess what....They needed more "CASH" 5K to be exact. No money order, no cashier's check...CASH. I wonder how much of this is reported to the IRS, because they don't give you a receipt. They didn't take items to rooms that the boxes were labeled. They got into a fight with each other and at that point started tossing our items in the garage and hiding the broken chairs and other household goods. You can't get a hold of anyone to file a claim....You call the office no one answers unless you push the prompt for "SALES" and low and behold you get a person because they are shady and need more business. I was told we had to wait to file our claim because of Covid....so we waited. I finally sent it off to their office per "THEIR" instructions and the entire packet was returned to me "no forwarding address" Hang on...the story gets better. A month later, we get a call from another customer that they had some of our items because they found my husband's business card in some very expensive backpacks we purchased to hike in Europe. They were also missing items and were dealing with the same issues as us. Over charging, missing and damaged items, CASH, no one answers phone, no follow up. The list is endless. I had to pay this person to ship our backpacks to us because of the value of them. We have moved 7 times from 2007-2020 and NEVER had an experience like this. To date, I still have not had my claim paid or acknowledged by "MIKE" I am going to file a compliant with the Florida State Attorney and DOT. These people should not be allowed to be in business. Their reviews are horrible.

  6. BEWARE of Progressive Relocation.

Do not use this company. I do not understand how they have avoided litigation. This company overcharged weight, stole/lost items and not follow through with their insurance claims.

Progressive Relocation was the company contracted to move for job V5154131 (two military veterans, moving home after retirement).

Progressive Relocation estimated (over the phone) 1,857 cubic feet of household goods. En-route to pick-up, the moving truck broke down and the Progressive Relocation chose to rent with a Budget Rental truck. This truck has a 26-foot bed. All of the household goods were moved into this Budget Rental truck. After goods were already in the Budget Rental truck, the driver then estimated that the household goods were not at the original estimate of 1,857 cubic feet, but instead was at 2,300 cubic feet. However, Budget’s own website specifies that the specific model used can only hold 1,698 cubic feet, clearly dismantling both estimates of Progressive Relocation. Progressive Relocation knowingly overcharged 602 cubic feet.

On top of these issues, they sold an insurance policy for Full Value Protection at $1,875, purchased on Dec. 17, 2019. Upon delivery, two TVs were missing (65” and 75”). The driver verified and documented that these TVs were packaged and crated by company workers.

There are issues with filing the insurance claims. An initial claim was filed (via phone) on Apr. 30, 2020 with a claim number of 5154131-425. An additional claim package was mailed out on Apr. 6, 2020. A second claim packet was mailed on Jun. 16, 2020. A third certified mail packet was sent out on Jun. 22, 2020. None of the claims received a response from Progressive Relocation. All of the mailed claims were sent back with “Return to Sender” noted on the documents. Progressive Relocation has zero intent to honor the insurance they sold, as they will not accept mailed claims and instead return the documents to the sender.

    Date of pickup: 12/5/2019

    Date of delivery: 4/3/2020

    Claim filed: 4/3/2020

    Job number: V5154131

  7. Don't do it.

First let me start by saying, shame on me for not doing my research better as I am in the logistics industry. However this was a last minute move and we didn't have very many options. 8. Movers Beware using Progressive Relocation services.

After reviewing quotes from 6 different moving companies, I choose Progressive Relocation Services. Sales Rep convinced me that company was legitimate interstate mover. Paid 1/3 of 4 bedroom home quote up front to secure date 4 weeks in future. Forman arrived on date of move in Uhaul truck. Half way through move with only 1/2 furniture loaded, we were informed that we had met the capacity limit of our quote and would have to pay another almost $5,000 to complete the loading. Forman argued he could not be responsible for terrible moving estimate. Since our home was closing escrow and new buyers were anxious to move in the next day, we felt forced to sign updated estimate and pay what felt like ransom to complete the move.

Following up with Progressive Relocation customer service, I was told that their estimating software is 20 years old and furniture has gotten larger over time. They argued I paid fairly for what I got. Although their quote said it was a binding not to exceed estimate based on inventory and all 60 furniture items were on their articles to move list, it is obvious their estimating software and customer reps can’t be trusted.

I consider myself very reasonable and have 30 years c-level business experience. I have never been so embarrassed that I was hoodwinked by Progressive Relocation. An up charge of 10=20% would have been understandable for some oversized furniture but not 100%. I should have chosen better.

  9. Progressive Relocation.

I shipped storage boxes only from Ohio to Florida. At least ten boxed that were marked fragile came with damage. I had carefully packed and marked any boxes with breakables as fragile. It was obvious that the boxes had been improperly handled somewhere. Both the pick and delivery guys were careful, so it happened in storage or transport. Also, both the pick up and delivery was days later than I was told.I notified the company of the damage and got no response.

  10. Progressive Relocation.

Do not use this company! We moved from Virginia to Florida. The movers were late, ran out of packing material. One man was hung over and slept in the truck until he felt like working. The wardrobe boxes had nothing hanging and were stuffed with clothes thrown in a pile!
The movers used our own blankets and clothes to pack the household items which resulted in many broken and damaged items. Most pictures had broken glass and gouged frames.
Being in the military we have moved numerous times and this was the worst experience.

  11. Missing and damaged items move from Alabama to SC.

Progressive Relocation Systems from Miami, FL has made a wonderfully exciting time in our lives an absolute move from HELL. From the initial contact and misleading quote from Troy in April to now in June not having all of our furniture. The furniture we do have is mostly damaged or broken. They have missed delivery dates/ times and now multiple multiple pieces of furniture are still missing. The nightmare began in April when the movers arrived in Alabama in a truck that was too small for our 4 BR home. They loaded what they could into that truck but had to stop, drive back to Atlanta to get a second truck to complete the move. Then fast forward to the delivery date scheduled for May 29th. They kept changing dates and times until it was finally set and executed on June 3rd. They arrived in 2 Budget rental box van/trucks and from the onset we knew all of the furniture could not possibly be in those 2 trucks. They had NO MANIFEST or inventory list with them. They did not lay down anything to protect the floors or carpet. Furniture was offloaded, multiple pieces were noted to be damaged. Near the end of emptying the truck we noted many pieces/ items both large and small were missing. The driver said " oh I'm sure they're in the storage unit in Atlanta" We immediately contacted our customer rep at Progressive (Eva) to notify her of the missing items. The next couple of days emails and phone calls were exchanged with promises to ship the remaining furniture in a couple of days. Even comments and emails stated they had "found the furniture"; "there was too much furniture to go on the original delivery". Fast forward another 10 days of emails and phone calls and moved delivery dates and times, we finally have another rental truck (Ryder this time) deliver our "furniture" at 10pm last night. ONLY 1 rug and 2 ladders were on this truck. We had sent the company an email outlining 20+ pieces that are missing. The driver contradicted himself about how he's only the driver, he gets texts of when and where to pick up and deliver goods. Then after quizzing him on who his boss is (would only say he has that guys phone number and wouldn't give it to us) to where the physical storage unit is (Durham ,GA) how to contact anyone in the company (NO name could be given) he somehow finds a video of an empty storage unit with a faded aluminum patio chair (not ours) and says this and the rugs where the only things in the unit except for the broom and dust pan HE used to clean up the unit. Completely contradicting his story of " I am only the driver". We have spent 10k for this move and are missing sooo many items not to mention amassing a box of broken items that cannot repaired or replaced. Oh, but on a positive note, they did include 1 LARGE RAT free of charge. It came from their storage unit and reeked havoc in our newly constructed home. Please do not use this company. I hope and pray this can help other people out there so you don't go thru the torment of this company.

  12. Military Families Beware.

I am a marine and hope to save other military families from trouble. To all my military families spread the word about this company. Want proof I’m not a competitor call me 208.755.7596. My lawyer has been contacted as has the NCCDB/FLCSA

    Never Again
I will never use this company again. Not only did I spend the time to itemize everything so that my quote would be as close to accurate as possible which meant I was on the phone for almost 2 hours. I also went over the list again however after they came and picked up our belongings not only did I know we wouldn’t have enough room which I mentioned from the start. The movers said oh there’s room don’t worry, but once loaded and by the time done it was 10pm, they let me know it was going to be double my quote. Now earlier they said as the space fills and we pass my spot my price would go up so I also left most of the bigger furniture in hopes my cost wouldn’t be so high which it ended up doubled and that was with leaving all the items I had listed from day one. After trying to get ahold of my contact who said I could reach even on the weekends with the number that same night they loaded due to the cost going up so much but with no luck, when I finally do get someone it was a couple weeks later and now they said I never gave a list and gave them cubic feet instead ?? Which is completely false considering the movers were naming off the furniture before they started, what the heck and then all the emails I’d saved I could no longer open to prove it. I spoke to their general manager and explained the situation, he said basically it’s my word against his so oh well.
Now we were supposed to get our belongings on April 15th or if delays a day or so later to which I have the emails where I told the driver when he asked what date I needed them to be there. We have been renting up until that time which means we now are going to be in a empty house without our belongings because we are now being told they don’t know when they will arrive or can deliver but they would give me 24 hr notice. Seriously this was scheduled a month ago and I’ve been emailing constantly about the delivery to make sure all good and they wait until the day before to say not sure when we will be there ??. I’ve called their office all day and left messages with no response as well as emailing the office. Never again and if you are looking go somewhere else. DO NOT USE THEM!!
    Origin : Georgia
    Destination : Idaho
    Quoted Price : $4,000.00
    Actual Price : $8,000.00
A good company would work with me to reconcile this and I would write an amendment but they are opting to not communicate instead.

  13. Liars.

These clowns moved us from the SE to New England. Our stuff went into storage, which we need to extend because of a delay in getting into our house. We cal;led to schedule the delivery and had to leave a message. Nobody answered, which is like that most of the time.

We then get a message saying " the truck is loaded, we'll be there in a couple of days!" A whole week earlier than we can move in. Absolutely not a care in the world to them. The trucks loaded, it's coming. Or they can dump it back in the warehouse and we can go to court to get it released.
So now it's coming a week early. Getting put into someone's garage. No set up, no unpacking no bed assembly and no reduced price. Also either cash or postal check (same as cash) or they won't unload. Now I have to pay somebody else to load it and move it and unload it.

Any conversation with them turns into a circle jerk. Dave can make up lies faster than anybody I've dealt with. Before the conversation is over, he contradicts his original lies with new ones. Almost comical. He claims to have a recording of all phone calls and has clear evidence that we requested the wrong date. But he can't let you hear it for any one of several ridiculous reasons.

Worst decision ever, choosing Progressive Relocation. Run, don;t walk, to somebody, anybody else.

  14. They Get an A for awesomeness.

So when it came up that I need to move and I needed to move fast I had to look for movers it wasn’t a short move across the town I was going clear across the country so I need professionals I shop for different options even thought about getting pods but after talking to Chris progressive relocation seem like the best service for me I hired them and one move they came they got out there and got the job done no problems no headaches exactly is Chris had described thank you so much progress of your location for making my move a success.

  15. Good Move.

Progressive Relocation moving crew were very careful not to scratch or otherwise damage our newly refinished floors. They were careful while negotiating turns in the houses and set things down gently. They also worked with speed and efficiency in all they did during the 6 hours they spent with us. We were satisfied with their work.Moving staff made my move good.
