  1. Scam company is another name for Flagship and Unified Van Lines.

The owners and employees have been indicted and are charged with racketeering.

    See:

  2. Avoid at All Costs!

    Scammers, liars, thieves!!
    Just read the other reviews!
Same here, under estimated, 3 times original estimate, lost items, damaged items, paid for full pack n ship (FAILED!!)
Treated very poorly once all my items loaded.

  3. From Mn to LA.

Same exact issues as everyone else! Lied about when they would deliver. Lots of hidden fees. Horrible service. Once they load your stuff they charge way more and treat you rudely when you act upset about it. My stuff was damaged when I got it. They said they don’t outsource. They do! And they lied about being a family owned business. I found out later that it’s just some guy and his girlfriend pretty much running the company. As soon as they got my business the guy that sold me on using them, stopped excepting my phone calls. Worst experience I’ve ever had my bill went from 4500 to almost 8000. Please don’t use them! You will regret it!!

  4. Use Another Company.

What a terrible, terrible experience. DO NOT use this company. I regret to say that I paid real cash for such a horrible moving service. They moved my things from Texas to California but kept my things in storage for almost two months. In addition, they didn't even move it from storage to my new place. Instead, they made me drive 70 miles to the storage unit they unloaded my items at, rent a uhaul and MOVE MY THINGS MYSELF.. to top it all off, they broke my recently deceased mother's television.. and refused to refund or help. I think I spent over 20 hours on the phone with them that I learned who was working there and what their shifts were on the phones and how their different "extensions" were just three employees in the same room.. even more suspiciously, the original employee that sold me the service was FIRED before I even got my things.. very very strange. STAY AWAY!! SERIOUSLY.

  5. Public Moving Services.

RUN THE OTHER WAY! No matter how little the bid is, I have never dealt with a company that is so crooked.

  6. Do no t use this company.

From the moment they picked up our stuff (5/31/17) I knew we were in for trouble. I should have read these reviews before hand. They added another $3100 onto our bill, 3 kids were there (5 hrs late) spoke little english, they worked until 5:30 am (my husband and I went to a hotel). When my husband went back to our house in the am, they were found sleeping on our bedroom floor. They forgot to pack one bathroom and left an area rug and huge box behind. Our items were stored for 30 days and 2 weeks ahead of that I called and requested a delivery date. Our items were delivered at 9:15 PM !! 12 days after the requested date. at 12:30 am the 3 kids that spoke little english told us they were done and left us to put up 2 beds, unpack most of the boxes, remove all that cardboard, plastic bubble wrap and tons of white packing paper. Its been one week and we are still not done. All the beds are missing screws, bolts, Unprofessional packing where they use your clothing to wrap breakable items. Oh and when they left I asked to them to take that plastic wrap and cardboard and tape with them. Next morning I found it in our compost bin in the back yard. Terrible service. Stay away.!! Oh and any positive reviews are completely fake. Look at the dates, one after the other. I'm sure they make their employees write these.

  7. Do not hire this company!!

Horrible from the word go. Low ball quote to get my business, then once the pick up happens you are slammed with hidden and unexpected fees plus since they underestimated the cubic feet of your household goods they hit you with overage charges. Of course, you have to move, so what are you to do?

My original $4500 estimate turned into an over $8000 job. I saw fees like a 10% fuel surcharge, (of course the bigger the load the bigger the fuel surcharge, instead of charging by the mile), packing materials (over $600) and a $150 fee for moving a treadmill (but not for my huge sofa, go figure). Pick up and delivery were also delayed, then when I called to get status updates no calls were returned until I had called 6 times and the lady that finally called me back (Angela) had the gall to chastise me for me bugging her too much.

  8. Scam!

BEWARE: This is a SCAM! I learned about Public Moving Services' duplicitous strategies and hope to prevent others from having the same experience. First, we were tentatively guaranteed a same-day pick-up and delivery from Boston to NJ with the understanding that, at worst, unforeseen circumstances could bump the delivery date to the following day. That was clearly explained and understood. When the movers arrived at my house, they informed me that it would more likely be 5-7 days before my items arrived. After a heated discussion, they agreed to deliver the following day as originally promised. My moving consultant Alex B. drastically and intentionally under-estimated the cost of my move. It was not until the truck was fully loaded with my belongings that the movers informed me that the cost of my move would be $1,100 MORE than the original BINDING estimate. They reasoned that my belongings took up more space in the truck than originally estimated. They refused to explain to me the pricing policies that warranted such a drastic increase in the estimate. Aside from the original deposit, this is a cash-only operation, which means there is no way to dispute the exchange of funds. They refused to unpack the truck until they were paid in full. We repeatedly requested to speak to a customer service agent to help us understand the discrepancy between the original estimate and the final price. The movers contacted a customer service representative, Angela, who initially REFUSED to speak to us. She kept instructing the movers to settle the dispute with us themselves. Any company whose employees refuse to speak to customers is most certainly operating a scam. When we insisted to speak to her prior to giving the movers the outstanding balance, Angela proceeded to scream at us on the phone and accuse us of ruining her Sunday morning. Moving is stressful enough, and Public Moving Services became the most stressful part of my move. Do yourself a favor- book with another company.

  9. Avoid These Scam Artists.

BE WARNED, do NOT under any circumstance use this company. They are the biggest scammers on the face of the earth. I scheduled my move over month in advance, & heard absolutely NOTHING from them until the Thursday before my scheduled Saturday move. Daniel called to discuss my inventory & over half of the items were missing. He added those, & of course the charge went up by almost $400 for an additional 124 cu ft. Then I mentioned the glass TV stand would need additional care. His response? "That'll be extra" That should have been my first clue. Then Friday, dispatch calls to tell me my scheduled Saturday move has been moved to Sunday (when the office is closed of course) & to expect them between 11 am & 2 pm. At 12:30 I received a call from someone who barely spoke English saying expect him between 1:45 & 2:15. At 2:13 I received a call saying they were stuck at a weigh station & would be delayed. I received a text saying new arrival time 3:15-3:30. By this time I had read all the negative reviews, & my gut said this is not good. I immediately called the driver & told him UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE was he to come to my house..the pick up is canceled. He said ok, but then at 4:18 he calls & says he is here & I need to come speak to him. I said no that he was told to not to come to my property. He only left when I said I would call the police to have him removed. I may lose my deposit, but I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. Also be aware, they will take a credit card for the deposit, but then when they pick up, they expect a personal check or cash. Upon delivery, they demand a money order or cash BEFORE they will even unload the truck & you don't have a chance to inspect your items. Any reputable company would gladly take a credit card over cash or check! Save yourself the hassle. Find some other company. The price seemed too good to be true & it was. There all sorts of hidden fees. Charging to take an elevator or shrink wrap items..please, that's part of the job & all other companies include that as part of the service.

  10. Avoid this 'company'.

Do not use this entity. My belongings were picked up on 12/29/16 and it is 4/24/17 and I have not seen my things since. I have gotten calls to wire monies to a Chase Bank in Florida in exchange for the whereabouts of my things. If you have used this entity, Contact the Department of Transportation and email Lawrence.hawthorne@dot.gov.
