  1. Stay away from this company

This company was selected by our

employer for relocation services. The boxes were packed by them, moved by them and held in their storage. So far, and we are only half way through the unpacking process, I have found broken glass, family heirloom photos folded and crushed, expensive jewellery broken and discarded in the corners of boxes, integral assembly parts scattered throughout several boxes (rather than contained together). Their staff wrapped half a deck of cards in paper along with a handful of paper clips (as though special) while the other half lay damaged and loose in the box and, in the same box, a solid silver necklace was packed separately from its box and crushed.

This is all after they 'accidentally' mixed our belongings with another client's and delivered their boxes to us, and after we've already settled $6000 worth of damages they caused to a hot tub. Numerous other large items were damaged as well (trunks with corners smashed and handles broken). Delivery day they drove into our driveway gate and had to repair this before leaving. Upon arrival their staff walked in with muddy footwear leaving us with a bill for professional carpet cleaning. We could go on but you get the idea.

You get what you pay for and take it from us, this company isn't worth a quarter of what they charge!!!! The worst part is that you don't know what quality you're getting until it's too late. Please learn from our experiences and stay away.

  2. It is a disaster!

I selected this QMM(Allied International Vancouver) carefully in order to move my furniture from California to BC, at the beginning their service seems good in terms of quotation/communication. Their price is not the cheaper one, I choose them because looked like this company is a big corp, has extensive network.

But when the driver went to pick up my stuff in California, more than half of the trailer had already been full. I had 12 pallets, but only 9.5 were loaded as no space was available. My shipment was overflow. The dining table, 4 big sofas and other essential furniture are left behind at L.A., after a week waiting for another shipment, they told me that I have to wait another 3 weeks in order for my remainder furniture to be picked up! This is ridiculous and totally unacceptable! I am still fighting with them to get all my shipments picked up and delivered.

Never seen a company arrange logistics like this and highly not recommending them.

  3. Nick and Lester

Our experience with QMM was incredible. Nick and Lester were extremely efficient, friendly, and helpful! This service is worth every penny. We moved across the province and they were amazing! Thanks boys!!! Our move was a breeze because of you two!

  4. QMM

QMM…Nothing short of fabulous! They moved us from North Saanich BC Canada to Eugene, Oregon. I have nothing but a glowing review from first encounter with Francis to then working with coordinator Sangita...very professional and easy to work with. on the day of packing, moving and then receiving, they were always on time to the minute, very experienced with packing, especially our antiques, hard working, experienced and efficient and most of all personable and trustworthy. Their driver Richard is exceptional with his knowledge, organization skills, packing skills and driving ability of a HUGE van. I suggested that he is a one of a kind who deserves a raise. I strongly recommend QMM. This is one EPIC moving company and I’m a very satisfied customer!!!

  5. UK to Vancouver move

The service I paid for was not delivered. They get their money and know you won’t be requiring their service again any time soon. They have a don’t care attitude, after speaking/emailing with them multiple times. I would NOT recommend them as detailed below.

I moved from UK to Vancouver and chose to pay an extra (500 pounds) for my own container rather than groupage (shared container). That’s when the excuses started on arrival in port in Vancouver. These were: the power lines were too low, no parking on the road, the container could damage my driveway. For these reasons, I was told I had to pay an extra $500 to have my contents offloaded from the container onto a smaller truck. This is why I initially paid the extra 500 pounds to avoid my contents being handled more than needed. When my contents were collected from my UK property, the container arrived into my small cul-de-sac and not only did the 20ft container fit, he had an additional 20ft container attached. It was obvious in Vancouver they had every intention to offload in port as this was the easy option for them. They also changed my arrival date in port four times. There was no empathy and they just didn’t care, I ended up being an additional $1,300 out of pocket. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

  6. Great Company

My husband and I just relocated from Toronto Ontario to Victoria British Columbia. I want to express how wonderful it was to work with the QMM/Allied teams. Abbi was our point of contact throughout the entire process. She was always there when we needed her with any questions and gave us updates all the way through the process. Her follow up was next to none!! The teams leaving Toronto and the teams arriving in Victoria were so professional , pleasant and hard working. We would highly recommend QMM/Allied.

Thank you to Abbi and the teams!!!!!

  7. Do Not Use This Company!!

This was the most stressful, frustrating and disappointing experience. We were moving litterally 1.5 hours between the two houses. I dealt with this company for 5 weeks and never received a pick up day or delivery day. Then on Friday, October 2 (pick up was to be October 1-7) I received an email at the end of business day saying that they have a driver but no one to help load so it might not be able to happen. So I was left all weekend panicked that we needed to find a new moving company to move in two days! Then Monday I'm informed that they will pick up our belonging on October 7. Guys show up and they were not informed about the pool table so they are not equipped to move it!! Even though I specifically spoke about the pool table to the moving coordinator. Then the so called moving coordinator requested that I drive 7 hours to clear customs, which then was changed to 45 mins, and then was changed to them clearing the load and needed numerous documents sent to them which was super easy considering my printer/scanner was located in their damn moving truck!! During this process I was lied to numerous times! I was charged an outrageous amount of money for the move and then numerous things arrived broken and 3 boxes are missing. Also had the nerve to tell me that they didn't lose the boxes that I must have had a friend put them in a spot and didn't see it!! Like I haven't looked every where for the items missing!! Very very much DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!

  8. Moving to Canada.

I moved my belongs from UK to Vancouver BC and I am very satisfied and happy with QMM service. My boxes has been delivered in the right time and in good condition. Special thanks to Irene for keeping me updated for tracking my items. Excellent, great communication and service. I would highly recommend it.

  9. Lots of missing items - disregard by company.

I got several quotes for our huge move from Alberta to BC, we have an antique grand piano and my husband has a lot of heavy, awkward tools.
QMM quoted slightly higher than some, lower than others, I chose them because they had a good reputation and good reviews online.
The movers were polite and wrapped everything well. We moved from Airdrie AB to Vancouver Island. We needed to use storage between the moves. QMM provided the moves and the storage.

We are missing almost $2000 worth of our stuff. Not just 1 or 2 boxes but multiple items including some large items like the bag for our lawnmower, my grandmother's sewing box and a large metal stand for our rabbit cage.

Our BBQ and an antique table were broken in transit. QMM did replace the broken door on the BBQ but I haven't heard anything about my antique table top (we moved in September).

Regarding our multiple missing items I was sent a form to fill out asking for the tag number of the missing items - the items are missing, I don't have a photographic memory - how am I supposed to know the tag number? I filled out the form (it took 2 pages to list all my missing items) and painstakingly priced out the replacement costs for my missing items using Amazon, Ebay (for my antiques), Canadian Tire etc.

It's been 3 months since we moved and I've had 1 item returned to me. The rest are in limbo. The basic gist of QMM's attitude regarding the loss of my items is "sucks to be you".

I would not recommend this company to anyone.

  10. Quality Move Management - the con is in the WEIGHT, not the PRICE.

I was told by a lower mainland mover to use a big reputed moving company like Allied Van Lines when moving across Canada, for I was moving from Vancouver to Kingston, Ontario in late June for my son to be settled for school in September, 2017. When I phoned Allied's phone number I was talking to their contact in the USA who transferred me to their Vancouver, Lower Mainland office. I thought I was talking to Allied Movers, but it was talking to Heather Macaulay from their broker/partner Quality Move Management of Delta, BC.
Thinking I was dealing with Allied, I hired Quality Move Management and Ferguson Moving and Storage for moving quotes in early May 2017. Ferguson's estimate by Quinn Johnson was $10,488.30 for 7,924 pounds. Heather Macaulay of Quality Move Management's quote was $11,247.43 for 7,100 pounds. Heather's emails stated they were from QQM/Allied Van Lines. I thought I was dealing with Allied Van Lines. I had never moved a long distance before and was inexperienced with the process.
I found out that Ferguson would be hiring Great Western Movers to complete the move, so I thought it might be best to go with Allied who could move us across Canada. With this in mind I contacted Heather Macaulay and told her this I wanted to go with a national company like Allied. She did not tell me that Quality Management Movers were also a broker/partner. I asked Heather by phone if she would match Ferguson's quote of $10,500, and she said in that phone call that she would. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF WEIGHT, in this phone call. Heather said she would get back to me with the paperwork the next day, but the email did not arrive until many days later when I phoned her back asking where it was.
I have asked many people since that if they are moving across Canada, if they would go by WEIGHT quoted, or would they go by PRICE quoted. Every one of them said they would go by PRICE. That is where I got caught on the con. Quinn Johnson estimated 7,924 pounds to Heather Macaulay's quote of 7,100 pounds. Was this incompetence from Heather? Or was it dishonesty? I have since heard that moving companies will estimate a low weight to get the contract, than hold the customer's belongings hostage until paid. This is what happened to me. People must know that it is the WEIGHT that is most important, not the PRICE when movers give a customer a quote. This was the con. I oblivious to the weight, thinking I had a written contract with a price.
When the movers came on June 27th 2017, their head man Verne mentioned that Heather's quote was "underweight" as there would be more weight than the 7,100 pounds. I paid no attention to the comment for I had a written document that stated I was paying $10,500. But why would Ferguson's Movers quote me a more competent/honest 7,900 pounds for $10,500? Was this Heather's incompetence? Or was it just plain dishonesty to get the contract?
Four days later I was in Saskatoon when I saw Heather's email on my phone. It was an invoice stating that my bill would be $13,000. Shortly after I had opened that email, my phone rang. It was Verne (who was driving the moving truck). Verne asked me: "Do you want me to continue to Ontario?" I asked Verne why he would ask me such a question, he had my belongings, why would I not want him to continue east?

I contacted Heather and she said the 7,100 pounds was in all the paperwork small print, and I should have been paying attention to that, as I came in overweight at 8,673. She claims I brought more than I said I was going, but that is not true. After hearing my displeasure, Heather lowered my price to $12,300. With people cashing out and moving away from Vancouver, they don't care about extra price, but why the incompetent/con quote of 7,100 pounds? Heather’s 7100 pounds was her trap/con that I got caught in.

Since my move I have heard about moving companies quoting low weight to get the contract, then jacking up their price when the weight is much higher and they have your belongs hostage in their van. My proof is Quinn Johnson of Ferguson Moving quoting me 7,900 to Heather Macaulay’s 7,100 pounds.
Since being caught in this con I have since told many people that it is the WEIGHT that is most important when dealing with a moving company, not the PRICE quoted. No one was aware of this, all, like me would go on the price instead of weight.

  11. Worst Moving Company Ever!

Quality Move Management - Worst Moving Company Ever!!

Let me start this with a thanks to the actual crews who unloaded and unpacked my stuff – they were friendly, competent, hard-working, and are NOT the target of the rant you are about to read…

My disgust and utter contempt is directed at the management and planning section of this company. Here goes…

Day 1: Moving truck and crew are supposed to arrive at 10am; they are 90 minutes late. A month prior to the move (and numerous times after the pre-move inspection), QMM was warned that the condo complex I was moving into had a courtyard which could not accommodate a 53 foot tractor-trailer and my belongings would have to be moved into a smaller truck – or else the moving crew would have to carry everything 150 meters to the condo complex’s front lobby. They were also warned that they would need 4 guys as I have large, heavy furniture and it is a fair haul from the elevator to my apartment.
Guess what shows up? A 53-foot truck and a crew of TWO movers! Numerous calls by both myself and the driver fell on deaf ears – the excuse being “We are overbooked for crews and trucks and can’t provide anything more”. A 3 to 4 hour unload turned into 6.6 hours, with the two movers having to hump everything. Since one guy had to stay at the truck to prepare items for the next hike into the building, when the other guy came to the apartment, I HAD TO HELP HIM MOVE THE FURNITURE. Thanks QMM for the chance to act as unpaid labour due to your INCOMPETENCE!

Two more guys showed up with a shuttle truck at 4pm – by that time there was hardly anything left to move except for my living room set.

I got back to my hotel at about 5:30pm with an aching back and a splitting headache.

Day 2: I was told the night before a crew would arrive to unpack at 130pm. Who the f sends an unpack crew at 1:30pm?? Thanks for wasting half my day. 1:30pm arrives, no crew. 2:30… 3:30… 4:30, and phone call number ## to the so-called management of this company, asking “I’ve been sitting on a bench in front of my condo for 4 fing hours with nothing to eat or drink and my cellphone battery is about to die – when the f is your unpack crew showing up??” After being dked around for an entire day, they finally showed up at 5:00pm.

I got back to my hotel at 8:45pm and puked in the toilet.

The “Director of Operations” of this p - poor excuse of a company did nothing during this entire fiasco but stall, deflect, and lie. If I treated customers like this, I would kill myself out of sheer shame.

I will be posting this on every nook and cranny of the internet – and praying for this company to go bankrupt, get blacklisted – or preferably burn to the ground.

    DON’T… EVER… HIRE… THIS… COMPANY….
