  1. Beware

Beware of this company. Everything was great until the actual move. First they lowballed the bid so the final cost was 30% higher - this was after we sold several large heavy items prior to the move that were included in the quote. I walked the salesman through the house and he say everything and said he was getting it all. The driver that delivered said their sales people do that all the tile to win the business. Second, the movers were careless and broke several items that they were paid to pack - furniture, lamps, glass picture frames. We were reimbursed for the damaged items but some of them had sentimental value and can't be replaced. They claim they don't use day laborer's but on both ends of the move I watched the driver pay them all in cash. Get several quotes and think twice about using Reebie.

  2. Do not use!

This company is the worst. They broke so many pieces of our furniture and had excuses for most of it. We purchased extra moving insurance and put stock in their system of paperwork filled out by the truck packers which documents furniture damage before the move. When trying to put in claim for all of our damaged items after the move, there were a number of things that they were unwilling to reimburse us for. They stated the damage was not transit damage. Yet they have all this paperwork that shows our belongings were fine or had minimal scratches ahead of the move. When pointing that out they said our furniture must be poorly put together or damaged because of bumps on the highway that causes items in the truck to move around and become damaged and that they aren't responsible for that! We have spent six weeks going back and fourth with them. They do not care about their customers. They will treat your belongings poorly and make excuses for it afterward. These people are so dishonest! AVOID!!

  3. Untrustworthy crew! Poor documentation!

Terribly disappointed with the way the long distance move of my son's household goods was handled. They took a dishonest crew member''s word and purposely vague documentation over the fact that my son's saxophone was never delivered, denying our claim! No high value paperwork was presented nor accompanied this treasured piece, and with the help of the dishonest crew, it got "confused" with a broken suitcase on the paperwork, and no one is taking responsibility for this calamity of errors! It is not as they say on their website.. the customer's satisfaction is not important! They may be a "charter company" of Allied, but they need a refresher course in keeping tract of your valuables.. and doing the Right Thing!

  4. Movers.

My husband was relocated to Chicago, and his institution provide him with the name of a few moving companies to help us move from Miami to Chicago. One of the recommended movers was Reebie Allied and since the day we contacted them we were pleased with the way they helped us. The price was great! We moved on June 19, and the truck was needed to make three stops to collect our belongs before heading to Chicago. Frank Russell showed up the first day with his crew and they all were great! It was the best moving experience I ever had (I moved four times before)! They were so professional, prompt, courteous, showed great attention to detail. Frank and his team packed everything with extremely care, and even carried extra bottles of water to offer us. We have had excellent communication during the entire move from pick up to drop off. Frank and his crew are the BEST moving crew you can find. Definitely will work with them again and recommended them without reservation. Thank you, Frank!

  5. Lost my couch for a month, their CEO sal is rude.

They moved us from Chicago to California. We actually had a really good experience until the very the end of delivering our stuff to California. The in home estimate was great, they were able to get us on the next truck out to California a couple weeks later and our customer service coordinator was a very responsive emailer. They had three super efficient guys move us out in Chicago, they were awesome as well as our guys in California delivering. The huge hiccup -they left our couch in Chicago (it never left the warehouse) and didn't tell us this until move in day (even though they knew two weeks prior when they picked up our stuff). We could have planned for not having a couch if they told us, but no we found out on move-in day instead. When they showed up in California we told them there was 100 steps up a huge hill and they only showed up with 2 guys (they said it should have been a 4 guy job) so it took way longer than it should have. We asked the drivers if anyone told them they needed for people and they said "no, corporate doesn't care about telling us that though." Oy. They told us to "Call the 1800 # on Monday" to find out what happened with the couch, they said they had no idea but they've known for weeks that they wouldn't have it. It took them a full week to just get back to us just to tell us that our couch never left chicago and that they'd send it to us IN A MONTH. Their only consolation was giving us back $250 on a $3500 which was a joke. I ended up talking to their sketchy CEO (Sal) because no one would help us get our couch faster or give us a better discount or buy us a new couch. Sal's only consolation was that "they're not required by law to send me my couch sooner." Umm, no duh Sal, it's called customer service, you're supposed to do it because you promised me a service you're not delivering on. He was so rude, didn't know how to talk to customer and tried to lecture me on the policies of the moving industry.

I told him I'd post my accurate review onto yelp since I was really dissatisfied and that given my husband was working from home full time and really needed the couch because it was his only place to sit, I was hoping they could send me my couch a week later or pay for me to just get a new couch. He got really upset that I would "post lies to yelp" and threatened to sue me! It actually got comical at this point because he clearly didn't care at all.

Honestly, they were great in the beginning but at the end of the day, a moving company needs to get all your stuff there, safe and sound and on time and they failed to deliver on that. And, it seems like their customer service reps have a better sense of how to be customer-first than their CEO Sal. I don't know how that company operates with that man as a leader. Long story short - don't use them and beware that they also operate under the "Allied" name.

  6. Avoid!!

Avoid at all costs for anything outside of a local move. The loading crew was great, but the transportation and unloading crews were terrible. First time in 10 moves that we have had to file a claim for damages (I know small things get beat up a bit in a move), and they decided to send me a $10 check for the cost of replacing a $500 table that they damaged. This after multiple phone calls, e-mails with photo, and a 3rd party rep coming out and telling me the value I have on the table is correct and the cost to repair it would be even more than replacement.

  7. Excellent Moving Service.

This company is a excellent moving service. The movers were prompt and courteous. They handled my items with care and EVERYTHING was delivered undamaged. They even transported items that I wanted to stay. At least they were thorough.I would rather for them to move unwanted items.then to leave something behind. Plus, the move was within the earlier estimate that was given to me.

  8. Total Scam.

I worked with Jackie for our Chicago to denver move. Once I realized that my items couldn't de delivered outside of a 5 day window, I told them I wanted them to pack everything, then load everything into a U-Haul we rented. My quote for this was 4 hours, at $800+.

Moving day came, two movers showed up. No packers, nothing. Thankfully, I had not signed the contract with them so I told the movers I refuse service and to please leave. They did so and were very polite and respectful to my wife and I.

The quote shows time for packing as well as the materials needed. But they didn't have anything with them in forms of the boxes I was asked to pay for.

I called another local packing company and they were willing to do everything, same day, for $250 including packing.

This company is a mess and I am thankful I didn't sign anything with these scammers.

  9. Highly recommend.

We used Reebie/Allied for our move from Illinois to Arizona and I had great anxiety about the move based on all the horror stories I had read about interstate moves in general. From the salesman who came to give us an estimate to the actual movers, the experience was excellent! Our driver Juan (and who also helped with moving) was so responsive and helpful, he told me on the day they came to move us that he would be the one driving to AZ and he already knew a tentative date we could expect the furniture. The movers wrapped EVERYTHING so well, from wood tables to buffets to sofas to art work, everything was wrapped with care. Juan called me from the road and told me he would be there the day before he had initially anticipated. So, while we were told we'd get our furniture anytime between May 22 and May 27, we actually got our furniture on May 21. Not one thing broken or damaged. I can't say enough about Reebie and Allied, great job!

  10. Reebie Experience.

My wife and I used Reebie Moving and Storage when we moved from Iowa back to Illinois. It was a great experience. They packed our belongings very carefully, and unloaded them in perfect condition. All boxs being placed into the correct rooms. They were very professional and curteous, and will use Reebie again in the future. I highly recommed this company, as they are second to none!

  11. Move to new home.

When the salesman came to my home, he provided a written estimated of about 5 hours of time with a price of about $800.00. The move took 9.5 hours and cost was over $1400.00. When I called to voice my concern about the accuracy I was told estimates cannot always be accurate and was only given 1 hour credit to my total cost. Last year a similar move with same about of items was almost $500 less.

  12. Reebie - poor service.

Although we have finally been paid, this experience with Reebie was awful.   Too many things came in broken.  And the length of time for Reebie to find someone who was knowledgeable to come to our house and access the damages was too long.   In addition, the claims process was frustrating.   But mostly our complaint would be the amount of damaged items.  Many small items were broken, furniture chipped and a large curio cabinet came in completely shattered.    .

  13. Moving.

I have found that Reebie Moving & Storage are the most reliable moving c ompany.  They are not only efficient but friendly and make you feel secure in moving your precious property.  Moving is not always the easiest thing to do, however Reebie Moving & Storage makes it the easiest  I trust them,   I highly recommend Reebie Moving & Storage for all your moving or storage needs. .

  14. Damages..damages..no reimbursement.

Reebie sales side was very professional. Bill Reuking made me feel at ease with the move and answered any and all questions without delay. The management on the Chicago side was excellent as well coordinating the move. The packing crew meticulous and very professional. The goods arrived to Seattle a few days before planned .. even better! So what could be wrong..And then the goods came off the truck..Damages, damages, damages. The goods were moved on and off four different trucks between Chicago and Seattle - despite being told it would be one truck during the sale. The delivery crew did not want to check the inventory of the 300 boxes moved. They told me to trust me that everything made it. I insisted that all be inventoried against the bill of lading. At which point the female driver huffed and puffed and said they didn't have time. To further discourage me she said all furniture would unwrapped in the middle of the street and brought in without protection and then proceeded to bash my bed frame and crack the headboard in the entrance door. She turned to me and said see I told you so!I purchased $100,000 worth of insurance to cover very expensive furniture, paintings and bike to make sure in case something went wrong I will be covered full replacement value. Unfortunately Reebie claim that they did not damage anything despite photographic evidence with before and after photos showing otherwise. Mira in the claims department is hopeless. Promises to get back to you in a couple days. A week later nothing. After ring and emailing several more times she says she needs another week!I am now left with over $21,000 worth of heavily damaged goods which Reebie will not repair/replace. Reebie have gone completely silent say they will no longer speak with me. As for my friend Bill Reuking the attentive salesman - he gives me email addresses and tells me to try someone else. When asked for a postal address or phone number to contact these people directly .. silence. I should listened to other reviews. I have had to cancel the charge on my credit card and despite getting the $7900 back on the move from my bank I have lost $13,000 more in damaged goods. Reebie Allied do their best to get your business, but once they have it they don't care. If something goes wrong they don't want to know you - especially Bill Reuking. He wants you out of his hands as fast as possible. Truly disappointing.

  15. Lack of Communication created a nightmare move.

I have done 3 interstate moves using national companies and never had a bad experience until I hired Reebie/Allied. I did my due diligence and had 2 other of the major companies come in to do estimates. I chose Reebie because they assured me there would be 1 driver/1 truck. This was essential. When making an interstate move you want your things moved into the truck and out of the truck once to reduce the chance of damage. Sometimes they use a shuttle to bring your things to the warehouse and then have them loaded onto the18 wheeler for the big drive to your destination. They assured me I would have the 1 truck/driver. Since I had a positive experience will Allied (in another state) in the past, their pricing was competitive and I liked Bill (Estimator), I went with them.

    CONTRACT
Then the mistakes started. The Order of Service (contract) had to be rewritten several times due to mistakes on their end and unclear wording of payment. These rewrites then caused communication breakdowns within their team. Packers showed up a day earlier than scheduled, a company called to schedule the building of a crate that had been removed from the Order but no one told them. A hassle when you have a thousand things going on, but not a big deal in the scheme of things.

    MOVING DAY
A shuttle showed up. Yes, a shuttle. Exactly what I did not want and was assured I would not get. Not the 18 wheeler that was going to drive my belongings the 1000 miles. And it wasn't my driver, it was a local crew. I give the corporate office credit for taking my calls in the moment of crisis, but they had no explanation and there was no solution. I had no choice if I was going to move that day. I had to have the local crew load my things onto the shuttle and take them to the warehouse for the main driver to load onto his truck. I resolved myself to this reality and let them proceed.

    INCOMPETENT LOCAL CREW
I started seeing some of my furniture being loaded only half wrapped in blankets.. leaving sections of chairs, tables, etc exposed. I ended up having to inspect everything leaving my front door and having them re wrap a good portion of my furniture. Then I happened to look in the truck and saw a couple pieces of my furniture were actually not wrapped at all!! I was told they ran out of blankets. Yup, they loaded it without blankets because they ran out. Now how was that not going to be damaged!! Once again, called corporate office and they had blankets sent out. Had to wait 45 minutes.

    DELIVERY
By then my move was 'red flagged' and the manager would take it from there to make sure it went smoothly. Well, she was telling me of these special steps that were being taken to ensure my belongings would arrive in good order. Only to find out from another employee that it was protocol. I told her this and never heard from her again. I was back in the hands of the coordinator. Now there's a good manager.

The driver was fantastic and called me throughout the delivery span to ensure me everything was on schedule. They arrived on the scheduled date and were even an hour early. They were incredibly efficient, careful, friendly and went above and beyond in helping me set some things up. Couldn't have asked for more.

    DAMAGES
And yes, there were damages. Two pieces were beyond repair. The company was effective in resolving my claim and I appreciate that. But I can assure you if this team was competent and I had my 1 truck/driver, I wouldn't have had 5 pieces of furniture damaged!

    TWO STARS
I’m giving them two stars for addressing my issues as they arose, the driver and delivery experience, and resolving my claim to my satisfaction in a timely manner. But with that said, I would not recommend the company. .
