  1. Beware of This Company.

    Regal Moving System is a scam! A criminal organization!
    I moved to a different state and the whole process was, and still is, a nightmare. They were more than 3 weeks late to deliver, they completely damaged a lot of furniture, and they “lost” 90% of the rest of my things (with it 98% of my wardrobe).
    They asked me to file a claim, and they wanted to settle for less than $200. I refused because they lost and damaged over 10k worth of property. I asked for arbitration but, 5 months later, I am yet to hear from this company. They don’t answer your calls and, when they do, they tell you they’ll call you back but they don’t.
    Before they get your business they are really nice but, then, they turn into a nightmare.
    Advice: If you value your things, and peace of mind, don’t hire them!
    We should all file a class action lawsuit against these criminals.

  2. This business is a scam.

    ALL the negative reviews are true. I wish I checked them out before I gave them my deposit, but I was so glad they could do the move with such a short notice. They showed up with the wrong size truck and 6 hours late, so consequently, they had to come back the next day to finish loading. They kept our furniture in storage, but when it came time for the delivery, the price had tripled and they wouldn't deliver unless we paid in cash. I had no choice but to pay them so they would unload the truck. They arrived late and did not have the screws or tools to put our furniture together. They said they would come back the next day, but it's been weeks and I can never get an answer from them. When I call they hang up as soon as I mention my name. I had to buy screws and hire someone to put the furniture together. If you make the mistake of using this company, you will: 1. have damaged goods 2. be forced to pay triple the original quote. Don't make the mistake I did; pay more money for a REAL company.

  3. Update.

    Regal still has not returned two (what i'm now assuming are stolen) big pieces of furniture they were supposed to deliver in August from our MA to TN move. Sasha the warehouse manager who we've been consistently redirected to (because the fresh out of business school employees in the office have no idea what they're doing) has now disconnected his phone and Regal will not answer or speak to me when I call the office. If I do get someone on the phone, I am immediately put on hold and not attended to. It is blowing my mind the lack of professionalism and empathy this company has after financially bleeding us dry for this move that they have yet completed. I feel like they're not giving me any choice but to sue them. We were robbed!

  4. Beware.

    After shopping around for a moving company that would come up to Upstate New York, Regal was one of a few that would even come up that far. Sales people seemed to be nice. Phone system is a run around. Your lucky if you can speak to a real person or have a returned phone call after initial contact. Sasha, (the dispatcher?) has 101 excuses for why only half of my stuff was delivered. Safi, (driver?) has even more excuses. The rest of my stuff has been in limbo somewhere ever since or stolen by now. At 70 days and counting, I have filled complaints with anyone I can think of to try and get my stuff. I was even told by the BBB of NJ that they did not have a license transport outside of NJ. Who can you believe any more? Being unemployed and having to move after loosing my job, I am at odds at what I can do to get my stuff. Some of the stuff is irreplaceable. It's so hard to find honest, reliable movers. So many "if only" thoughts about this move. Please, spend the extra money, if you have it, and move with a better, more reliable company. I am so upset at being scammed by this company. After reading the other reviews and seeing so many similarities doesn't make me any happier.

  5. Run Away.

    Company lies and steals.. DO NOT USE

    Move took place in Aug and it is OCT and still missing several things .. company keeps saying they will deliver but so far have not and are ignoring contact with the customer !! Continued wrong information and extremely unprofessional. Keep claiming they are doing US a favor by trying to deliver the pieces missing ! SAVE the headache and choose someone else.

  6. Regal Moving Scam.

    This company is a scam. They gave us a quote, in a written "Bill of Lading" for $1130. When the truck arrived at our destination, after already paying them $280 for a deposit, 25%, they said our bill was $2900. And that unless we paid the balance of $2600, we would not get our furniture or contents. The balance was supposed to be $850, we paid them $500 in cash before the move, so the balance would be $350, and we were told we could pay the $350 with a check, as long as we pd the $500 in cash. Then at the end of the move, the balance was $2114. According to the law, the company can only charge 10% over the bill of lading. We did not know this at the time. That would have been $1243, not $2900. They tripled the bill, and held our furniture hostage until we paid the extra $2000. We would not have paid it, but my father in laws diabetic medicine was in a suitcase on the truck, and they didn't care. Do not use this company!! They don't even answer their phones.

  7. Unprofessional. Do not use.

    Believe the 1-star reviews. This company is new but unfortunately, also incredibly unprofessional. They give you a low price but beware extras being tacked on once the movers arrive. And forget about your items being delivered on time.

    I had a NY to MA move. They canceled the original delivery date because of a hurricane that didn't end up hitting the northeast. Fine. But they didn't reschedule until I badgered them. Then the movers were over 3 hours late, smelled like pot and forgot two of my items. They also complained that I lived on the third floor.

    When I called Regal, I was reassured everything would be fine. Bu they didn't offer a discount after forgetting two items (my bed frame and screws for a bookcase they took apart and then said they wouldn't be able to put together again at delivery.) All I can say is that I am glad this experience is over and I wish there had been more reviews when I selected them.

  8. Regal Moving Company, NJ.

    I contacted Regal Moving Company to set up a move from NY to CA. They said they would arrive on 9/26. We waited all day, and at 5 p.m. they told us they wouldn't be able to pick up the items until the next day between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. They didn't show up until 5:45 p.m. We wasted 2 whole days just waiting!! I called them periodically throughout the 26th to find out when they would be arriving, and they always set the time frame first from 8-11, then 12-2, then 4-7, then they didn't come. Next day same thing, said they would come at 8 a.m, then it was 11-2, then 4-4:30. Finally arrived at 5:45! When the boxes were delivered to California 12 days later, the boxes were completely SMASHED! Our very expensive leather sofa was badly damaged, and the truck drivers were extremely rude. We took several pictures of the damaged boxes and damaged goods and submitted them but no one ever even contacted us. TERRIBLE COMPANY!!

  9. Profoundly bad experience.

    Precious heirlooms lost. Many damaged items not caused by packing but clearly from utter disregard to the items (also evidenced by the delivery guys literally dropping things off the truck - they could not have cared less). Zero customer service - to the point of not even being able to leave a voicemail anywhere. Zero communication. Price jacked up 2k on day of move. Never again. For shame to anyone who works there. DO NOT use Regal.

  10. Why Didn't I believe the reviews??

    I don't know why I didn't trust my gut and find another reputable company. I received a decent quote and decided to go with Regal. 1st RED FLAG: The phone system. When you call it sends you in circles OR you don't even get a answering system. I emailed the rep who quoted me and asked him to call me since I couldn't get thru- His name was Simi. After calling and taking my information including my credit card # for the deposit, he said I was all set and I should get a call a couple of days before the move to verify and confirm a time. 2nd RED FLAG: I had to call them a day before my scheduled move because no one had called me yet. I kept getting an answering machine and no one would answer. After trying everyone's extensions, finally someone picked up. I'm sure they screen their calls. He assured me that someone would be in contact that day. When someone called, they advised me to be available and pick up would be between 9-12pm. 3rd RED FLAG: Day of the move, I called the company around 11am to see where the crew was and I was told between 2-4pm! Umm. I could have been taking care of other things if I knew it was going to be so late in the day. Around 2pm, I got a call from the driver saying he broke down and couldn't make it until maybe the next day. I called the moving company and switched to the following day. The time I was given was around 12pm. The next day, I got another call telling me that the driver broke down and wouldn't make it. This call was from the driver himself who told me that he's the driver and he'll pick me up when he feels like it and I don't tell him what to do. I needed to be out of my apartment that day and couldn't afford another delay. I called Regal so many times trying to get a hold of someone but to no avail. The person who kept answering the phone said he was the receptionist for the whole building and not just Regal. I call bull. He gave me the cell # of the dispatcher supposedly. I called and he was zero help. He told me he would call me back after he spoke with the driver. At this point, I'm frustrated crying, and panicking. It's clear this company is nothing more than crooks. I had to call another moving company and beg them to do an emergency pickup. At about 7pm, I got a cal from the "Dispatcher", saying that the driver would pick up my stuff at about 10pm that night..maybe. Maybe?? I couldn't believe it. They have no regard for your time and belongings. I told him that was unacceptable and I wanted a full refund. He yelled at me and then hung up. Real professional.
    Please, Please, Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have never been so stressed out in my life. It's just not worth it. Find a decent company with REAL reviews.

  11. Cheap estimate, but our savings will be going to a lawyer.

    My boyfriend and I were shopping around for options to move our furniture (1br, 1ba apartment - not much to speak of) from New Jersey to Florida. These guys called with the best estimate we could find - about $400 cheaper than everyone else. Xavier, the sales rep, was really nice and mentioned that since the company was based in New Jersey and moving to Florida is a really common job for them, it would be no problem at all. We gave him an inventory of everything we would put on the truck, and they quoted us a price based on the cubic feet they believed our stuff would occupy.

    Moving day comes, and the truck was scheduled to come between 9-11AM. We called them multiple times and they showed up around 3PM. They had included free boxes and wrapping for our TVs and glass tabletop in the estimate, but when the guys arrived they mentioned that we would still be paying extra for them. After everything was wrapped and on the truck, they mentioned that our stuff (literally the exact same inventory as was on the estimate - not a box more) took up about three times the space they quoted us, and that our price went from ~ $1300 to ~ $3500 - this after the gentleman told us he was giving us a heavy discount and it should actually cost $4500.

    What's amazing is that he told us that his office does this all the time, and being the truck driver he deals with the surprise and anger of people being horribly misquoted all the time.

    Seeing as we had budgeted for around this estimate months ago and did not actually have an extra few thousand dollars just lying around, we were advised by the driver to call our rep and see what we could do.

    We were on the phone with these guys for about 2 hours. We were put on hold, hung up on, told we would be called back and not actually called back - this game went on for a while until finally we got the number for the owner of the company, who told us we were merely one of 300 jobs this month and our money was "no good" to them if we didn't like what they had to offer. So, everything came off the truck and they left by 7PM. We told the owner, Safi, that we wanted our deposit back and he said he would gladly give it to us.

    Needless to say, since this was supposed to be done by early afternoon that day and became an ordeal that lasted until evening and ended with our belongings still in the apartment we were supposed to vacate the next day, it caused huge problems with our move. We ended up having to store our furniture in NJ until we could find a way to bring it down, since we couldn't coordinate anything within our budget at the absolute last minute.

    Now, a week later, we called about our deposit on a Saturday. They said there was a note on our account about it and asked us to call back on Monday, today, and we are playing the same phone game with them as this is being written. We ended up on the phone with Safi again, who hung up on us immediately. We called him back, he said he'd call us back in ten minutes, and now are calls are being screened with no option to leave a voicemail.

    Long story short, they're going to promise you savings - however, now that budget is going to a lawyer. Do not, under any circumstances, give these people the time of day unless you don't mind playing hardball for your money.

  12. Criminals.

    This is a criminal company. They lost the entire shipment. All family heirlooms, pictures, everything. We are going to sue.

    The original estimate was around $1500 which was jacked up on the day they arrived just before closing on the house sale. So we had no choice but to agree to $2500. There was a $500 deposit and $1300 payment on pickup. So they have $1800 of our money. Yet they never delivered anything.

    The will not return the money, phone calls, or anything. They are going to be sued.

  13. Nightmare company agreed!!

    I give Regal movers 0 stars!
    Please , take it from a mother of 2 young boys, that had a very stressful move ahead of them, and Regal made it that more stressful. Find a more reputable mover. Search there address with Google earth, look into company name changes, there claimed amount of trucks,Ect. The sweet boys you get on the phone, change when you give a deposit. 
     
    Extremly unprofessional is understatement! A promised date came and went, no phone call, no email. We are now living on lawn furniture with my young boys and trying to start a new school, and all of our clothes and belongings were supposed to go straight from our house to SC. Promised!! Instead they were MIA. They have caller ID and do not pick up phone. If you use anot her phone, they pick up and are stunned your on the other end. Again, another promise, " your stuff will be there on weekend" weekend came and went, no calls. 
    READ all fine print, do not expect the amount quoted is what you will pay. We paid 2500k more. Are stuff came back damaged, missing, and was not worth the thousands we paid, should have used local mover.

  14. Unbelievably Horrible.

    This is one time when all of the horrible reviews don't even capture just how bad Regal is. UNBELIEVABLE. I did ask questions, tried to check them out, etc. Started off fine, truck pick up went very smoothly, professional, and few days later got phone message with approximate delivery date. THAT of course turned out to be totally wrong. I badgered them for TRUTHFUL info. Okay busy time of year, okay get off-loading delays, etc., etc. LIES LIES LIES LIES. I truly believe it is only because I wore one of the guys done and got actual phone number for driver out here in California that we EVER got most of our things. They did not try to get more $$ from us, but condition of boxes was unbelievable -- and way past 21 business days horrible Nate said to expect. Treated us like dirt. I have picture, proof. Only because I went bubble wrap and peanuts crazy in packing were our things okay. Our things minus valuable antique table, plus four boxes, including one with precious artwork. Yes, we'll file a claim but..Also they left large bookcase here (we had previously planned trip so had to get friend to let them in) and when I immediately called movers to say it wasn't ours they refused to come back. I'm selling it I think since they refuse to respond. Honestly? The worst experience of my life has been trying to communicate with them.

  15. A nightmare of a company..don't use.

    The lies started when with the initial phone call: 1/are you off loading to another company or truck (answer from them: no); 2/ can you assure me delivery on the dates I need (answer from them: yes); 3/ cost: can you guarantee no additional expenses (answer from them: yes). Their packers came and charged me ad additional $1500, then asked for a tip. When I called the following week to see if they were on schedule as I was going out to meet the truck, they said "Oh, the truck broke down. We'll put your stuff in storage and let you know when we can deliver it." When reiterating the timeline, they said (when they actually answered their phones and didn't call back and I just kept having to try and get them on the phone), that they were offloading to another truck and that there would be no additional expense to me. And, reassured me that the truck would be on time. The outcome: they blackmailed me for another $4,000 and said if I didn't have the cash, they would hold my furniture hostage, came 4 days late, some furniture was missing and some items broken. Upon telling them and emailing them about the situation, they have not responded at all." This is one of the most unethical and lying group of business people that I have ever dealt with and should be held accountable for outright lies. DO NOT USE THEM.".
