  1. Horrendous Business Practices

This was the second time I used this company for a move. They responded timely. The first time was a great experience. The second time was horrendous. The foreman of the 3-person crew, Desmond, was excellent. However, when one of the crew members walked into my house smoking a black and mild, things began to go downhill rather quickly. When I told him to get out of my house, he started talking back to me.

We came to find out that the 2 crew members were found on Craigslist the morning of the move and the owner, Frank, didn’t even know their names. They paid them cash, I assume, under the table. It took them 9-10 hours to move us out of a three-bedroom house. They only moved furniture. The first time, it took them 3-4 hours to move us.

Frank couldn’t have cared less. He’s an awful business owner and provides a horrible service

  2. Heartbroken

Brand new in box power washer loaded …I had taken it out of my garage myself and placed other things on top and all were loaded. Now movers say they never saw it. I was really good to them..cold drinks, assisted them, big tip for each. I pray for them. This wasn’t a mistake like I’d hoped.

  3. Local move

I used rent a vet last Friday they arrived on time so I thought to myself this is going to be a great move. Contrary to my thoughts, the young driver walked around with his vape using it in and outside the homes, damaged my closet door I’m just seeing in the house that I moved from, one was in the cab of the truck a lot while only one worked. This move took longer than it should of and I even helped to keep it on track. For 455.00 I really should not be helping. I also believe there was illegal things happening in the cab of the truck. I’ve tried to get a hold of the company for the past 3 days and no reply. So put your working gloves on if you use this company.

  4. Damaged belongings.

With my recent move may 1,2019. I went with a company called rent a vet movers kc. The name explains it all.My son is a sergeant with 7yrs in the marine corps. 3 guys showed up with a 24ft truck. From our first email they were great to work with. Moving Was going fast but quickly went to snail mode.1 guy started to carry my king pillow top mattress by himself. They never even wrapped 1 piece of furniture. I .wasn’t able to micro manage them. (Why would I when I’m paying for trained movers). I’ve moved several times with more furniture in a 24ft truck and everything fit.Now in this move they loaded 1 king mattress, 1 twin mattress. 4 twin box springs, sectional couch.,1 solid heavy wood tv stand, 2 smaller tv stands, 2 dressers, 2 night stands. A kitchen table and 6 chairs, washer and dryer,And maybe 20 boxers. They came back and said trucks full..hmmm? I told them what went where Incase they beat me there.not sure how they beat me since they took an extended break at qt. Almost all was unloaded and sitting in my garage. Excuse me I’m a single woman can you plz put furniture in the rooms it belongs in?I’m thinking ok surely they go back or schedule to move the rest of my stuff. After speaking with someone I was told of how much I owe ( yes I’m very naive assuming they’d move rest of belongings). As I’m moving my furniture around I notice chunks of fresh mud falling off. I then see fresh white paint scratches ( old home had white walls. New place cream walls) and several scratches on not 1 not 2 but every piece of furniture they touched. I instantly email the company. I’m asked to send pictures. I do. Next morning they email me back and state I didn’t purchase extra protection insurance so they aren’t liable for any of my belonging and they weren’t aware that the move wasn’t completed. (I’m shocked because this is the owner I’m talking with.).( in the last 7 yrs I’ve hired movers 8 times and never bought insurance nor had these kinds of problems). I went back to apartment to check walls for damage and started a paper trail and plenty of pictures. The neighbor upstairs asked if it was me moving I said yes. She then informed me that every single time they got to the end of the sidewalk by their truck each piece of my furniture they didn’t strap on their dolly hit the sidewalk and rolled into the mud. Hmm thanks. I’m writing all this because as a military family I take pride in the men and women who have served our country and who have served. I try and always give back to anything that has to do with our military. This company is a franchise (I used the one out of kcmo). I asked each guy (all 3 of them) so did all of you serve in the military ? Each said no. Wow that’s 3 out of 3. I’m ending this with I’m not settling with this company for what he wants to give me. He stated what I paid for the move which is more than I should basically get. I’m sorry but this is a principal matter now. You stand behind your name and you do what’s right. I still have to hire another moving company and now my belongings totally a good 20 k r ruined. I’ve reported to bbb and will continue spreading my words until this company makes it right. I’m beyond upset when I’m the person that would give my last dollar to someone now I’m trying to rebuild my belongings. I’m tagging my son in this so any person he knows and so on will make sure this is knowledge to any other family trusting a company with their personal belongings. Thank you.. Kathy Mitchell.. editing post. So much more to explain, plenty of pictures and emails from corresponding back and forth with company. As a business owner myself I would of offered my services to come myself And evaluate the “said” damages. Instead I was given the basic email sorry you weren’t satisfied and here’s the laws. This company also runs in Raleigh North Carolina. I’m sure they do a lot of business with military families. I know first hand of all the bases and precious military families living in and around there.
