  1. Bad Idea!!

This mover is NOT dependable !!
As charming and as willing as Danny sounds over the phone - don’t be fooled - there is NO follow through.
They were a NO SHOW for packing and loading. A no show!! Who does that??
Moving is stressful enough without some bozo promising a service he can’t deliver.
No contact - No phone call - No responses
    Never again!
DO NOT COMMIT TO THIS MOVER !!

  2. Yesterdays Move.

From the second the guys got there, they began to greet me professionally and immediately began to protect my doorways and floors. I was pleased to say the least. I have never seen a more professional, fun, and happy group of guys. They seemed like they were having the time of their lives, while I only began to dread the feeling I would've had if I were to have to move this stuff myself. We all had a great time and never in a million years would I have thought that a moving experience could be so fun and stress-free.Thanks guys you killed it! A special thanks goes to Mr.Sasha, Mr.Chris & Mr.Brett! You three guys made it all roll so smoothly for me and my family and you all are always welcome over whenever you'd like. THANKS AGAIN SAVANNAH MOVING!!

  3. Complicated move.

Savannah Moving provided a stress free move. This was a 3 step process requiring a pickup, partial delivery, second pickup then delivery to a storage facility. All goods were household items which are precious to me.  Phone calls were returned promptly prior to move day. Danny actually ran out to pick up some supplies for me when the crew first arrived. The three movers I had, James, Ray and Austin were personable, courteous, funny and professional. At all times my belongings and I were treated with respect. To those who are moving, please remember that the more you, the mover, prepare your belongings the smoother the move will go so take the time, pack well, label clearly. Then be grateful that someone else is doing all that heavy lifting in 90 degree heat. I certainly am to those young men.

  4. Dishonorable.

Do not go with this company. I made my appointment a month in advance and verified weekly about our scheduled date and time up until the day before. The day before my husband finished up the packing of telephone and dishes still be used until this time. The morning of the move my husband took me to the new apartment and set me up in a chair to wait while he went to meet, and help, the movers. I am handicapped and disabled so he reassured me that they should be back within three hours (we didn't have a much and everything was all packed ready to go). A half hour after the scheduled time, that had been verified numerous times, I called. Danny said they were still tied up on another move and would be late; three hours later than scheduled over a month ago. I told him I wasn't happy about it but at this point what was I suppose to do. Danny told me since I wasn't happy about it that he was canceling my move. Seriously? At first, I thought he was kidding but he canceled us just like that. I called my husband and he came back to bring my walker and to see what we were going to do now. In the meantime, Danny contacted some friend of his who called and said they could come move us with two open pick up trucks. No discount on price this guy wanted the same amount of $135 hour. First of all, the same price I don't think so and second of all open bed trucks and it's raining with thunder and lightening. I have some antique pieces and several of our chairs are Queen Anne chairs which are fabric. What a joke.I was so stressed being we had to move out on the specified date per our "Notice to vacate" especially since the management company had already re-rented our unit leaving no time for delays. With me being disabled the stress of just being canceled on the spot caused me to have an anxiety attack, chest pain from the stress; the experience was heart wrenchingly awful. Save yourself the false promises and go with someone else. Furthermore, check additionally review; someone else did a search and found out this company isn't licensed and this might be another thing to look into further. There are other companies that are at least honorable and dependable. Go with some else like Savannah boys moving they work 24/7 and cost less per hour. Very professional, work diligently and were able to get us in the same day which I praise God for them putting us in the same day. Good luck to anyone reading this.

  5. Excellent!!

This was the best moving experience I've had. It was a last minute decision for me to move but they were very understanding and showed up right on time. They seemed enthusiastic and ready to work. The workers are very professional. Very polite and well mannered. Everything got moved and nothing was damaged including the house. They were in and out it seemed. A very quick process. I could not have asked for better movers.

  6. Move from Savannah to Statesboro.

I was moving from Savannah to Statesboro for college and was needing to find a moving company to help me out for a good price. In the past I have moved about every year and had items broken every year until this last year when I hired Savannah Moving. They were cheaper than the other companies that I have hired in the past and they were also the first company not to break anything. I will definitely use them again in the future; they cost less than other companies and didn’t break anything. The movers were at my house on time, ready to go and clean. The house that I was moving out of didn’t get banged up at all or dirty, which is a plus for me. Also the amount of movers that they sent over seemed to be the right amount of people, since they all kept busy the whole time and completed the moved extremely fast. The movers finished the job ahead of what the estimated time to finish was and stayed very professional the whole time. I would definitely recommend Savannah Moving to other people and have recommended them to friends in the area. I think the move ended up costing me $150.00, but I cannot remember exactly.

  7. Great Movers.

Great movers!! Save me alot of money .
I want to thank you for the most enjoyable moving

Experience that I have ever had. I have moved several times over the

years, and each experience only led me to dread the next time. After my

last move I came to the conclusion that the moving company must have

hired people standing on a street corner on the way to my house. Your

company carefully wrapped each item before removing it from the

house, whereas the last company dragged unwrapped furniture through the

shrubbery as I stood by and helplessly watched. Nightmare! The past

couple of moves I was charged an hourly rate while the movers slowly,

really slooooowly, took their time, even hanging out half the day smoking

cigars as my husband and I carried boxes in the house. These cigar

breaks happened for what seemed like the duration of the move. Your

cost of the move ended up being about half of what I was accustomed to

paying, and took about half of the amount of time. Your men were

professional and curtious, and never slowed down until we were not

only moved out, but moved in. I’m an interior designer, so I have

supervised a lot of installations, and I would recommend your company

to anyone. My only fear is that the entire country is going to

discover you and I will never be able to book you again, especially in

light of the fact that you so graciously squeezed me in at the last

minute. You were also so gracious when I postponed my move, not once,

but twice. I am sorry that this is so long winded, but I just had to

let you know how very much I appreciate you, the wonderful men who work

for you, and your five star moving company. Thank you again and again

for an enjoyable experience, I honestly never thought that I would ever

use the words enjoyable and moving in the same sentence!

    Take care!

  8. Racist!

This Danny guy apparently doesn't like black people. Guess he didn't realize I could hear him talking to his movers about us, saying things like "I don't care about these n__'s s__" and "its not like n__s ever tip anyway" and so on.. The guys must have taken him seriously because they certainly didn't take care of my furniture at all! My bed frame, computer desk, and my entertainment center were all damaged. He didn't offer any type of insurance so I basically just had to deal with it. Definitely would NOT recommend these guys to anyone, regardless of race.

  9. Bad Move.

I did a little research and found out Savannah Moving has been out of business since 2008. They have been operating without a license, insurance and they are on the Georgia Public Safety Commissions website of Illegal Movers. Feel free to them out for yourself @ http://www.psc.state.ga.us/transportation/illegalcarriersdata.asp?IllegalTypeID=1 Make the Right move and find a legal and licensed professional to handle your furniture and valuables you worked hard for, I'm sure you would like to keep them that way.

  10. Horrible!!

Wow, this company was is horrible joke! Let me start out first by saying that during my initial contact with who I assume was the owner I had high hopes for this company. I made the decision to pay $180 per hour instead of $120 because he promised his four guys would be harder workers, and better quality men than the other companies I was considering.  I was told they would be fast and work themselves into the ground to get me moved as soon as possible and save me money.  I was told they were capable of disassembling and reassembling my beds and other equipment if need. I was told they would have all their own tools in order to do so. Ultimately I made a horrible decision by choosing Savannah moving.  I packed everything and moved nearly all the boxes the day before. I was a matter of moving a washer, drier, king size bed, bunk beds, coffee table, end table and some plants. To start they were 30 minutes late, I couldn't understand the person on the phone who called for direction, my apartments are off of 21 in Portwentworth how lost could they be?  They did not begin right away they muddled around for 20 minutes deciding what needed to be done and pretty much 1 out of the four guys worked hard to get me moved.  At one point while watching out my window I saw one one but two of them urinating in the parkinglot of the apartments I was moving from.  I then notice that one of the guys (the laziest and oldest) was sitting on the curb smoking.  The third guy did nothing but stand in the truck and load,  moving things around and basically a waist of time. Then when we got on the road I kid you not they did 45 miles per hour the whole way to Pooler on 95 and 16.  We were getting passed by semi's carring fuel. The hooked up my washing machine wrong and stripped screws in my brand new king size bed and left out (I'm assuming lost) the other 4 screws necessary to keep it stable and from sqeeking every time you move.  At the end they gave me a questionnaire about their performance and made me fill it out right in front of them, making me quite uncomfortable and far from any place where I felt good about being honest with their behavior..who likes being put on the spot like that? Finally when I expected to pay 500 dollars and ended up paying 810, I couldn't believe it when they ASKED for a tip when they realized they owed me change!  When I called the guy to tell him how the day went, how much it cost and how they basically screwed up one of the most important pieces of furniture in my house he asked me how much I weighed (yes I'm a woman) and they asked if I was over weight. I'm not first of all second of all I don't care if I was 300 pounds the product I received for the amount of money I spent was a complete joke.  When I told him I intended to post a negative review on every site I could find on the internet in order to keep people from using their company he told me he would sue me.  HA!  Obviously this man is very uneducated and should not be given another dollar for the service he so highly recommends and provides to the public. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

  11. Straight Forward Moving Company.

My family was very pleased with Savannah Moving! They were on time, very friendly and honest. I called several companies to get quotes and they were by far the most helpful! I would recommend them to anyone in Savannah looking to move.

  12. Move to Savannah from Rincon.

This was the best move I have ever had! The guys were about 15 minutes late, but they knocked a little off the hourly rate, which I was fine with. They moved everything out, covered it with blankets, etc. and didn't lag around or slack off. All my belongings got to my destination in one piece in just under 3 hours (I lived 45 min away from the new home) so these guys were quick! They were a pleasure to work with, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again! They definitely get top marks from me!!
