  1. Be prepared to pay twice the quoted price

I moved from San Francisco to Chicago for work. The company I originally hired (Purple Heart Movers) subcontracted SNY for the move. Purple Heart grossly underestimated the move and SNY said they would only move my belongings if I paid twice as much as what was quoted. My leased ended that same day, so I had no choice. As part of the move, SNY was supposed to pack and move the boxes. Most of my furniture (mattress, dining table, couch, and cabinets) were severely damaged and multiple boxes were missing. Items including art, family heirlooms and keepsakes were dumped into boxes unwrapped and broken. SNY subcontracted with a local moving Company (City Movers) that added additional charges that were not quoted and unexpected. Ultimately, I paid more than double what was quoted with the majority of my belongings being damaged or broken. I would never recommend any of these companies. When trying to resolve the issues with management or the team, I was dismissed or told "if you don't want to pay, you don't get your stuff." There are few protections for people who are at the mercy of the movers, especially when they may be at the end of their lease or have their belongings on a truck with no recourse to get them back.

  2. Good helpers

    Honest, fast and safe team.

Guaranteed move with this team, very happy with their work.

    Good job to all

  3. Excellent

They give what they offer, there are no surprise charges, everything is what is said.

The clear accounts and the strong and honest work.

  4. Excellent

Thanks to a friend I came to you, they have been very helpful to me.

This issue of moving had me very worried but thanks to you I am very satisfied.

  5. All safe

Do you know who to call to move your valuables? call SN and they helped me with everything, packed and unpacked without any problem, saved me a lot of stress

  6. Stay away from SNY

Please stay away from them ! They were chosen for our interstate move: the movers damaged the hardwood floors in 2 locations, broke the bed frame (we had to throw it away), lost a brain new expensive office chair. Their insurance offered us 60$ for this. Time-wise they promised 2-3 days for the move of 600 miles, but we waited 10 days. And of course we paid the premium for all the fun. At the end we put together half of the furniture by ourselves, since it was getting very late and the workers were tired and in a hurry.

  7. Moving from cali to Florida

Its long but must read.!!! Where do I start, this company doest deserve any stars. I used this company to move my house hold items from cali to Florida. This move was just horrible. First off my item pick up date was August 18th, 2020. Company never called me to inform me what time movers would arrive. I had to call them multiple times before I got a time frame. My time frame was between 12-3p. By 2:30p no movers no call. My first called i made was at 2:30p I spoke to Alex, Alex states movers running late. He said let me call them and find out. By 3p no call back from Alex, so I called him back. He states movers will be out between 4:30-5p. 4:45p no movers no call. I called back this time I spoke to Damon. He states let me call and find out. Never received a call back. By 5:30p the movers call me and state they won't make it until 7p. Mind you, I been waiting on them since 12noon. Movere arrived at 7p just to quote me a higher price than what I was told. I was told $1250 by the time the movers got done my total was $2150. I literally have nothing but boxes no furniture at all. The movers told me that because of the covid 19 they miss quoted me the square footage. What covid 19 have to do with anything. I had no choice but to use them. I'm stuck outside with all my items. Company asked what day do u want your items. I told them I need them the week of September 12th. They said ok. Never ever received my items that day. When I called to find out why, I was told they didnt have a truck going to Florida. Smh no one never communicated that to me. Every week I called them asking about my items. Damon would give me a different reason than leo. Alex would give me a different reason than Victor. Damon, Victor, Leo, and Alex all said the same thing, ill call u back. Not one time did I ever receive a call back. So I had my uncle call, Damon just happen to answer the phone. My uncle explained to them everything I said and everything I had wrote down that each one of the said. Damon states he is the supervisor and that he don't have to return no ones phone call. He was really rude. I didn't receive my items until Oct 21st

PLEASE RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY..

  8. SNY Relocation.

SNY either employs thieves or incompetents. Expect heavily damaged or missing belongings. They jack prices like extortionists after they already have your belongings and are squatting on them for over a months.

    “Aside from that. . .”

Moving companies routinely bill themselves as “Stress-Free.” At the end of the day, all a reasonable customer wants is for his or her belongings, especially the most cherished items, to show up in a timely manner, undamaged. Considering this basic request, SNY Relocation gets the "Aside from that Mrs. Lincoln, How was the play?" award.

SNY Relocation, a company in business for under a year, was chosen for me by a "highly rated moving company." I have spent the last 7 weeks in Kafkaesque Absurdity of lies, lost item (probably stolen) appraisals and seething anger. If one is forced to do business with SNY Relocation, read the fine print and don’t believe a word they tell you.

It is clear from the untimely delivery, the damage to my few pieces of furniture, despite me paying extra for “packing” (requiring me to spend time in a woodworking shop), the suspicious disappearance of the nicest items packed by the initial movers (art work, Oriental carpet and pool cue) that SNY really doesn’t care about their reputation and is basically offering the Move That Keeps on Giving. An abridged list of SNY Relocation shortcomings:

--SNY was completely unforthcoming as to why my goods remained in their non-climate controlled storage facility for over 50 days, despite an available delivery date a few days after the pick-up and despite my trying to reach them, through an intermediary, almost twice a week when the deliver-date was in certain danger of being contractually breached (31 business days later) and the move was contractually late. Think the classic lie: The check is in the mail when a representative glibly spouts, "We just loaded your belongings."

--Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the initial movers packed and presumably stole an Oriental carpet, pool cue, assorted artwork and anything else in that box. SNY representatives are still looking for this carpet and says that the box packed by movers may have been "misplaced.” They have been looking for two weeks now, so finding my things are not a priority and hey, they already were paid in cash. Such a joy to "finally receive "most" of my belongings and have to call the police in my new hometown while the movers are still unloading the damaged goods. Oh well, nice to introduce myself to law enforcement for fun (Incident # 20-97-OF).

--Movers were paid to pack 5 pine bookshelves and 3 pine CD case/shelves. 4 shelves are damaged and require repairs. One lamp was destroyed, despite me paying extra for the movers to pack (and tipping them over $150). Bookshelves need to be refinished because the stain bled due to increased temperatures in the SNY storage facility.

--There were-of course-the usual price hikes (not for more items but for “elevators” and “$50 tape”) and uncouth movers, think the plumbers out of the movie Brazil, throwing badly itemized paperwork and new charges in your face as if you are closing on a new car. Everything is done in cash, so you feel like you are being extorted by the poor conduct and price hikes (Elevator fee and tape). The deluge of damage claim forms, now that I have received “most” of my belongings basically saying one is entitled to ridiculously little compensation is still ongoing.

If you care about your belongings, a timely move, courtesy and the truth, look elsewhere. The Byzantine insurance forms that leave you with even more chores, I.e. appraisals, calls to renter’s insurance, and angrier. Avoid this company.

  9. Moving nightmare.

These guys are bozo's - literally if you want all your moving nightmare's to come true than you've come to the right place. They will show up hours after they agreed they would, immediately insist on additional funds to move your home, and hold you hostage until you pay, then overpack their undersized rented Penske truck breaking half your stuff, deliver at their leisure and as a bonus they will leave half your stuff behind without any plan to return for it and complete the job!!

Run far and run fast - I am mystified they remain in business. Seriously find any other mover!
