  1. Save your time and money.

The only good thing about my interaction with this company was my move coordinator, Jenny. The short of it: Avoid at all costs. I'd move an entire house by myself twice before ever considering this company again.

    The Long:

I was having my stuff moved from Maryland to Atlanta and my original estimate shot up because certain items needed to be packed by their team. Not an issue, moving my life across state lines wasn't going to be cheap and I trusted that for the amount, my property would be handled with some semblance of care. I called to confirm the date and time window the movers would be at my new apartment as no one reached out to me. The driver told me he'd be at my apartment Monday in the late afternoon but when I called Monday to obtain a clearer timeframe, the driver told me he wasn't coming because we didn't confirm. I immediately called Jenny, who was just as confused and frustrated as I was, and after making some calls, informed me the next available time the driver could come was Wednesday first thing in the morning. I confirmed the new date and time window, taking time off from work. I was a contractor with no PTO, so I was extremely frustrated, but tried to be flexible.

The day of, I learned I wasn't the first drop-off, which would have been fine had I not been told my drop off would be first thing in the morning. I understand having other customers in queue before me - that's not my issue. My issue is communication and the fact that I could've worked at least a half day before the movers actually made their way to me, after the driver missed the original date.

The men unloading the truck were nice, but as they carried boxes in, I noticed some appeared to have been transported upside down, damaging some of the contents. I paid damn near $1000 EXTRA to have certain things packed/wrapped by the team in Maryland, but those very things were damaged upon arrival, among them:

    - Cracked mirror frame

    - Broken lamp (wrapped with packing tape)

    - Broken Aztec statue

    - Scratched furniture

    - Scratched and chipped custom art

So now I'm dealing with their claims company. If you still decide to use this terrible excuse for a moving company, make sure you get the highest possible coverage for your items because they WILL be damaged.

  2. Md to Fll.

Best moving experience ever. I went in very scared and skeptical but it went pretty smooth. Keep in mind that if you are having them pack the boxes, estimate it to 3x. If you think you have 10 boxes, tell them 30 because it will be 30 boxes. Make sure to walk around your house and take inventory of everything you see, no matter how big or small. Make a list and email it to them. You will get an accurate estimate. They even reduced the estimate as I got rid of a few things I got an estimate for. If you do your inventory correctly, you will be in for a very pleasant surprise which is a smooth move. Rachel who was always available and super super nice, made sure the estimate was accurate and always got back when I had any questions. I would highly recommend Sprint Van lines for any move. I have moved many times, but they was the best and cheapest.

  3. Great Service.

Movers were on time, professional, & experienced. Wrapped my furniture and packed my fragile items neatly. They were fast & cautious, took very good care of my items & house!

  4. Lost items/ then ignored me.

I recently used this company to move, and they lost a large bag of my items. After multiple phone calls, conversations and messages with Kim, and her telling that she would "look for my items" and get back to me, she then started to ignore my calls and messages. Also never got back to me about my list items. Multiple items were very sentimental and expensive!

Does ANYONE HAVE THE INSURANCE CLAIM INFO??!!

This company SUCKS. Don't use them!

  5. My Excellent Move.

I recently moved from VA to FL. I contacted Sprint Van Lines to assust me with my move. I was very pleased with the service I received. My sales representative, Jenny was amazing. She was very thorough and explained every aspect of my move. On the day my items were picked up in VA, the movers were very professional, polite and took great care with my belongings, ensuring my belongings were secure for the move to FL.I also want to make mention of Angie and Kim. They were awesome, keeping me well informed of my delivery date and answered all of my questions. All of my belongings arrived safely in Florida without a scratch. What great service. I will definitely be telling my friends and family about Sprint Van Lines, the amazing job everyone did. I recommend Sprint Van Lines 100%!

  6. Best price and service.

I had used Sprint Van lines for my move last month. Me and my kids moved into a new townhouse that I bought recently. My nephew also used this company. I actually referred him.
I will be referring Sprint Van lines to all my family and friends!

  7. Maryland to Florida.

Let me start by saying I would definitely use Sprint Van Lines in the future for any moving needs. They were professional over the phone and in person. They took great care of all my belongings especially my fragile belongings which they took extra care wrapping and protecting. It was a great move! Thank you for your service!

  8. Unethical business practices.

I am writing this review on Sprint Van Lines not and a customer, but as a victim of their incompetent staff. On June 23, 2019 I came home to my house in Virginia to find my new asphalt driveway destroyed by what appeared to be someone driving and making multiple turn maneuvers. Reviewing the footage from a Ring camera I was able to identify that the damage was caused by a Spirit Van Lines truck that was moving my neighbor. In speaking with that neighbor I was told that the fully loaded Sprint truck used the length of my driveway to make a u turn. My neighbor tried to stop them from doing the damage but the driver would not listen. My neighbor provided the contact information for Sprint so that I could file a claim. The following morning I spoke with Racheal Hills, who then referred me to Kim in customer service. I filed a complaint and over the next few weeks Kim confirmed on the multiple calls and e-mails that it was their truck and driver that did the damage but it was an accident. I then went out of my way to get multiple estimates for repair to get the best price and then submitted them to Kim. Kim continuously reported on our calls that she would get the estimates to the owner but he was always out of the country. After many stalling calls and e-mails Kim finally refused to assist in getting the repairs done and additionally refused to provide insurance information for the company or the vehicle. As a result of a company that employs incompetent drivers, has a customer relations representative who is not truthful, has an owner who is never in the USA, and who shirks the basic responsibilities of driving on our roads, I am being forced to go to court to make this company pay for the damages done by their driver and vehicle.

  9. Thank you Sprint Van Lines.

I’m so happy that I chose Sprint Van Lines for my local move, I spoke to a bunch of different companies and they seemed sketchy with prices and didn't explain any extra fees not included in the price.
Sprint Van Lines gave me all the details upfront so that made me feel more comfortable.
I moved Fri Aug 2, they movers showed up on time and ready to work. Nothing was damaged! The move was completed with in estimated time so I didn't pay extra…
I'll recommend Sprint Van Lines to anyone I know who is moving and needs help!!

  10. They deserve 0 stars.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews. I am writing this to genuinely try to save people from this fraud. The level of dishonestly is disgusting. They do an excellent job of luring you in with a low price in order to make you think that they are competitive, but that is just the beginning. EVERYTHING incurs an extra charge BUT ONLY when you are in a position where you cannot turn them away. That is because they sneak in the extra charges at (1) pick up, as in when the movers are in your apartment moving your possessions into the truck and (2) delivery. What kind of extra charges you ask? Here is just a small sample. A hallway? Extra charge. Have stairs? Extra charge. Think you are better off with an elevator? Nope, think again there is an extra charge for that as well! By the way, they don't pad the elevator, my building did that for them, nor did they have to wait for an elevator because it was reserved exclusively for my move, yet they still charge $75. Also, note if you have any glass or mirrors, each piece will cost you and additional $25 PER PIECE regardless of the fact that THEY WRAP ALL THE PIECES TOGETHER.

But it gets worse. After they took everything in my one bedroom apartment and the truck was packed, I asked AGAIN how much I would owe at delivery. I was told to have $X in cash ready at drop off (they were dropping off to a storage facility, ground floor, so fortunately, no stairs/elevators/hallways!). I EVEN WROTE THE TOTAL AMOUNT ON THE CONTRACT - I OWE $X. I confirmed repeatedly with the Foreman and with "Julie" that THE NUMBER ON MY CONTRACT WAS THE FINAL TOTAL. Fast forward a few weeks later. I get a call from the delivery driver with a NEW PRICE 24 hours prior to delivery. Now they are asking for an additional $350 shuttle fee because 18 wheelers are allegedly not allowed in the city of San Francisco. The driver told me that there are certain cities where this rule ALWAYS applies, and San Francisco is one of them. Insane because THEY KNEW THE DROP OFF WAS IN SAN FRANCISCO FROM DAY ONE and never disclosed that the charge would apply. Then, I called my storage facility, I asked them if 18 wheelers are allowed in San Francisco. GUESS WHAT? THEY ARE!! AND THERE ARE CURRENTLY MULTIPLE 18 WHEELERS PARKED ON THE ROAD DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE STORAGE FACILITY. When I notified the driver of this, instead of being shocked that an 18 wheeler could park in San Francisco, he responded "sorry we already left the facility." Seriously, the lies are next level.

My point here is this: STAY AWAY. AVOID THESE CROOKS AT ALL COSTS. A move that they quote will cost $1,400 will EASILY cost you twice or even triple that amount. AVOID. Honestly, if you use them after this review you absolutely deserve to get ripped off. I will repeat again, DO NOT use this company. I will also add that I am incredibly fortunate, my company paid for my entire move so I did not lose any of my own money. I can’t even imagine having gone through this entire ordeal on my own dime. If anything, that alone should add more credibility to this review because I didn't even pay for it!! I am nevertheless disgusted by Sprint Van Lines and the giant scam they are running. Moving is terribly stressful to start with, and their deceptive tactics just compound that. PLEASE AVOID.

Update - My furniture pieces were broken, my TV stand was in pieces and my boxes were destroyed. I will be filling a claim against your Company immediately. Furthermore, items were missing and the movers tried to give me 4 PIECES that did not belong to me. I am so sorry for anyone who is missing a small home depot box, a wall clock, a carpet, and an iced beverage dispenser. These pieces all ended up in California.

In closing, if you are foolish enough to use Sprint Van Lines after reading this review, make sure that you take note of this website where you can file a complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration ("FMCSA").

  11. Not happy.

I hired Spirit Van Lines to move me from Maryland to Texas ( office based out of Jessup). The Maryland side of the move was horrible!! I clearly told them ( the lady that set it up and the supervisor that was at my house the day of the move) that my bedroom set was new and very expensive; to give special care with moving and packing. I wasted my breathe!! They damages it and lost the screws to my bedroom set! Then they expected for me to find/ do the research to find replacement screws that they lost when taking the bed apart. My bed is STILL on the floor to this day because they haven't replaced the screws ( to the headboard, frame, and footboard) and my bed is still damaged from the move. Nothing is being done. If you value your furniture, DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!! The movers in Texas was Great!! Very polite, fast, and did the best the could on their end. The time frame was pretty reasonable but I had to call them to ask where was my furniture..smdh.

  12. Never Again!! Sprint Van Lines - Rockville.

My move was a local move. Less than 3 miles from one address to another. Received a quote online more than 2 weeks before move. Was contacted several times to ensure 4 movers and that they were so, so good. Let me say this was a terrible move. Quoted at $875. Pre-deposited $100. Day of move, $775 remainder. 4 Movers were slow. Took items apart to extend move time. Did not pay attention during walkthrough - I pointed out what was to move and what was not. The geniuses wrapped up items that were not even to be moved. Took 2+ hours to even move me out. Used alot of unnecessary packaging materials also. At new location, all of a sudden - the mover foreman gets on the phone and then states that now I have a bill due of over $1100. So needless to say, I paid the bill. OK - so They then start to bring all of my furniture/items in. It takes another 2 hours to do that and then at the end of the day - they do not even reassemble. The foreman's response, "you did not pay for that". So, you mean to tell me an $875 initial quote to move - does not include reassemble of furniture. Who does that!? I was totally floored. After the movers left- I contacted the so call rep who by the way contacted me like every other day before the move, but did not hear back for 2 days after my complaint. . simply said - well we did say that the cost would be higher after 4 hours. I explained to the lady that I was still within my 4 hour window when the price all of a sudden changed. This location of SVL in Rockville is a total scam. Use them at you own risks. From the phone operator to the driver - all con artists. The sad thing about all of this is that I have used Sprint Van Lines 3 additional times prior over a number of years. The last group 5 years prior - broke up several pieces of furniture during my move and this crew ripped me off. Sprint Van Lines in Rockville - u got me good, but never again!! All of you are a bunch of no good for nothings. . . . and its a shame that you treat your customers like this.

  13. Do Not Use Them.

I don't even know where to begin. Let me preface by saying that I am not out to get anyone - I simply want to help others looking for a moving company not to make the mistake I did in using Sprint.

I started off with a great experience, of course, with Jenny in sales and then Angie, the dispatcher. Both were wonderful to work with and very communicative. They were flexible and reasonable in accommodating my cross country move from DC to Austin.

Then move week happened. On Monday of move week, I was told items would arrive by Friday. Then on Wednesday AM, that day moved to Sunday. Ok, bummer, they were still delivering within the window, but the delay was a bit of a headache. Come to find out on Thursday afternoon, we get a call from the truck drivers that they would in fact be there Friday. Ok, great news that our things were coming sooner - but of course would have appreciated a better and more accurate timeline. Little did we know that was the least of our problems.

Our drivers called us within an hour of arriving and came when they said they would - awesome. Still so far so good. When they got out of the truck, Sophia, one of the drivers/helpers, shook her head and said "just so you know, we did not pack the truck..I am not sure who did, but I have never seen anything like that before.." Awesome again. We were not looking forward to pulling things off the truck.

In general, my expectation of a cross country move was of course to have a few maybe fragile items/glass break in the long trek. I expected a little bit of a knick or knack. SO I won't hardly go into detail on the 10 plus dishes that were shattered completely. I'll cut to the chase.

What I was about to discover was a truck full of thousands of dollars worth of items, ruined. Literally 80 percent of my furniture was broken, stained, or scratched. My dining chairs were not even covered with blankets entirely and the blue ink from some moving boxes stained my bed and dining chairs.

My TV had a small blanket draped over top of it..no cardboard, no additional padding. It looked fine on the outside, but I will be sure to include some photos to show you how it ended up. The legs of my dining chair were smashed and scratched up. The bins I stored dishes and other wares in were completely collapsed and smashed.

Again, this had nothing to do with the packing of individual boxes or adding some bubble wrap. My furniture and items were packed poorly on the truck and or mishandled when they went into storage.. treated like that of garbage on a trash truck, and left to literally pick up the pieces. Let the photos speak for themselves.

I now find myself in a bind with them - of course I am being asked to complete a "claims" form through the third party insurance company to formally file a claim. I am working with a client services rep named Kim who was kind on the phone and is supposedly "speaking with the owner" to "see what they can do." This is beyond an insurance claim on some damaged or lost goods. This is malpractice and mishandling of my personal property. Yes, of course things will break if they are left unwrapped, exposed, and thrown into a truck. Just what exactly is the point of hiring professionals?

Save yourself the time and go elsewhere.

  14. They charges u even the breath. But they won’t tell u in the beginning.

A total deception trying to always get the most money, I usually don’t do this but it’s necessary.
1st they call u insistently trying to get the contract with the best deal (false)
    My case:
    1. Telephone conversation with your estimate, they ask for a “inventory” price 1449.68
    2. Pick up: everything ok, till the moment that they say that it will be a extra charge for the size of the boxes, this lady just asked me for how many boxes it will be, NEVER the size. 338.32 $ more. FINE
    3. 2 days before the delivery she called me to say that there’s another charge 300$ for shuttle fee because there no access to my townhouse complex for 18 wheeler truck. (That’s not my business because she shoulded have tell me all the possible fee at the negotiation moment over the phone) they always say other companies charge you more during the process; WE DONT.. (LIE)
    4. Delivering: they wanted charge me more because it was 11 stairs, and it supposed to be 10 more than that 70$ more.

  15. Long Distance Move.

Do not utilize this moving company. The mover was rude, disrespectful and confrontational. The mover was lazy and careless with my items. The mover made me feel uncomfortable in my home. I actually feared him knowing my address.
