  1. Bad experience and disappointing resolution.

Despite going over my moving list several times, he quote provided by Statewide was HALF of what I ended up paying since they under-estimated the cubic feet I needed. The carrier they used refused to speak with me, only my fiancé' (even though it was my name on the paperwork).  When my items were finally delivered, the guy showed up over 2 hours late and almost every box and item I had was broken or crushed in some way.  The only thing they even attempted to re-assemble was poorly done since somewhere along the way they lost all the screws for my bed frame.  I had two pieces of furniture in pieces- one so bad I couldn’t even repair it.  I also ended up missing two boxes and gaining two items that weren't mine.  They never followed up on the missing items and the claims process took forever.  End result- because of all the loopholes they give themselves, my $735 claim is being paid at $74. .

  2. Excellent from start to finish.

I was moving an antique china cabinet that was my grandparents.  I'd always admired this piece and when it was passed down to me I was thrilled.  it has irreplaceable curved glass.  I was really worried about it making such a long move but my fears were unfounded.  New Times /Statewide Relocation took such pains to make sure it arrived in perfect condition.
Everyone I dealt with was very professional and pleasant.  the guys who picked up as well as the ones who delivered were super careful with my things.  I was really impressed with the way they wrapped the pieces of furniture I was moving.  they delivered within the allowable time frame.  I called Barbie to ask for an ETA and she was very helpful and nice.
I would definitely use them again

I have moved 15 times from Alaska to Florida in the past 45 years.  I know a good mover when I get one!

  3. Completely deceiving!

Completely incompetent and unprofessional! Not the professional movers I expected. They asked for more money than the binding estimate! No accountability for movers or customer service!  While I understood our minimal items were just the remainder of a full load I never excepted them to be unloaded and reloaded multiple times thus causing damage.

  4. Sorry Company.

I have not used this company, I am writing because my niece has. There is awful communication between the office personnel & the customer. The office is also very unfriendly & DO NOT mind hanging up the phone on you. (VERY PERFESSIONAL HUH?)Example: the moving truck was suppose to be at her apartment between 9:00 am & 11:00 am they showed at 2:30 pm, NO phone call or nothing. If they have to wait on you they charge 100.00 per hr., what is the difference between them waiting & the customer waiting, for each hr. she waited 100.00 should have come off her bill. Another Example, she was told on a Tues. the truck would deliver in 5-7 business days. Well 2 hrs. later she received a call saying the truck was going to deliver on Thurs. the same week. Mind you she has a 1300 mile road trip from NC to Texas. They said if the drivers had to wait it would be 100.00 per hr., again what about the time the customer waits on the driver. Oh & the price went up almost 800.00 from the quoted price. Who knows when the delivery will be made or what the condition of her goods will be. This Bunch Is Ridiculous. I would NEVER EVER recommend them to anyone. I will be contacting the better business bureau. What a way to run a business :(   ** I put never in the delivery status because the goods ahve not been delivered when this was written.

  5. Ruined all of my items, missing parts.

What an awful experience. This company took apart all of my baby items which should never be done! but even worse, they lost the hardware to our crib (has to order it from the crib company - $80), broke our changing table and damaged our $200 high chair. As well as damaged boxes, damaged crib sides, damaged couch legs, very expensive leather donut seat had tape placed directly on it!! are you kidding me?! Do you yourself a favor and go with ANYONE else instead of this company. Oh, and I still have yet to receive a cent for any of the damage. We had to end up disputing with our c.c. company. Awful. .

  6. #EpicBull$hit. Overcharged, missing items, threatened auction.

Wow, this was the single worst experience of my life and I have dealt with some serious blows. I was quoted $1,800 for a one bedroom apt move (no dining room) - so a master bedroom and living room.
They picked up my stuff and brought it to my new home state and told me the balance was almost $4,000 (after paying the initial $1,000 down). I explained I don't have that; I had budgeted for the quoted amount. Stephanie said then they would auction my stuff to pay the balance. I asked what would happen to the remainder of the sales since I have a big a$$ tv and electronics in there, after she pays the balance with the auction. She said "we keep it. Everything belongs to us if you don't pay within 30 days". I said "you are asking for 3x the quoted price; I need time to get the money together!" She said no. I noticed the cords to my tv were gone and the surround sound (later after I unpacked). Thank God it wasn't too costly to replace.
In addition to the cost, they charged me $600 for a broker fee bc when I filled out the form online, Brad from Budget Van Lines called me and forwarded our call to Statewide. For that 20 second transaction, Brad was paid $600 BY ME. Which I never agreed to and was never explained to me. OMG this was terrible. Please do not use this company. They were so nice at first, I chose them because of this. Don't fall for it like I did. I took out a line of credit to pay them so I could keep my stuff; that's another thing - they only take cash or certified money order..seems a little shady to me..BEWARE.

  7. Worst experience of all time.. Epic Fail.

Today is day 10 of my quest to relocate to Florida.. My stuff still has yet to arrive. I have spoke to the man driving the truck however and it is 9 hours and one drop off away.
The broker misquoted $$ and misinformed us of the pick up and delivery time. Then they did not have a driver scheduled to actually drive my things to Florida so they sat for 5 days in storeage in Georgia.. They were "unable" to verify WHERE they were untill this Monday. When they were asked about the contract and how many days this would take (0-6) we were told "Oh, we count diffrently" WHAT??
Overall, the staff.. Barbie and Stephanie were unprofessional, unhelpful, liars, who's only job is to get your money and shut you up. They have no care for you or your things. I could go on and on.. But please, don't hire this company.

We will see what happens tomorrow.. Delivery was confirmed between 8 & 1.. but I have already been told by the driver that it will be later.. who knows what that means. Will post more if things are lost or broke.. I hope for the best!!

  8. Never ever use them!! beware!

I truly looked at a lot of reviews before booking a company ..
and I never ever chose this company I do not know even how I ended up to them..

we packed all of our items and weighed them even though they said that we had to pay extra for what? one bed one sofa 20 boxes$$ they are liars unprofessional..

very good staff they are I guess they give them a special training
so that they can lie easily to your face..

i paid extra money not for them to fold my bed and put it upwards I do have the picture of my bed you will not believe how it ended..

so beware and never ever use them.
all my life I have moved back and forth but never did I see such a company..

the driver who tells you the whole story is the actor he talks so much and tells you such a story you can not believe and they even changed the moving rate on my contract I had got an agreement for 2000 signed for like 2300 they changed it 2500 then finally 2800 how can this be?

i truly do not know so please please do not call them or if you do you will end up writing here.

  9. If you think you were scammed most likely you were.

You must contact FBI since they operate across states lines. They will always and I mean always over charge whether by cf or by lbs. I've witnesses it first hand. I lost my job with them for refusing to do it and become an opportunistic crook as they are. They will employ different methods from leaving huge gaps when packing the truck to make it seem as if much more volume or deliberately weighting truck with wheels partially outside of scale to manipulate actual trucks weight. Most workers will look the other way. Some have no choice if they don't want to become unemployed as I and a hand fool actually enjoy ripping you of your money. All of this is enforce by the owner without a doubt. Sorry folks but if you had already used them you most likely paid over 1200 than you should of. And yes, that's the least the want the foremans to bring over actual price. Either that or hit the road as they did me. Take it from me 9 yrs of experience with many different companies and ex-employee.

  10. Ghetto Moving Company.

These people NEVER showed up & NEVER called on the day that they were scheduled. They showed up a day late with 3 very muscularly challenged men in a truck the size of a mini van. Then they wanted to charge me an additional $95 per hour for whatever reason. I spoke with the supervisor who said that I could cancel the move since they were a day late , but he still charged my debit card $365 for a cancellation fee. Thank God I have Wells Fargo. I would not let these people move me out of HELL.

  11. Scam.

Bottom Line Up Front: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! If you are a good person, you don’t deserve to have these low-life, seedy, waste-of-space scammers steal your money. The last thing that you need when you have the stress of a move is an ordeal like you will go through with these folks. I hired AA Auto & Home Movers (after getting a quote from Mark out of NJ, aa-automovers.com) to do my move across the country and they subcontracted my job (without telling me) to Statewide relocation (out of Miami, FL statewiderelocation.com). What a nightmare this turned out to be! The pickup guy (a seedy Israeli chap named Amnon) was 4 days late and arrived to do my job in the middle of the night the day after I was supposed to have left! He took 5 hours to load my bed, couch and 12 medium sized pre-packed boxes into his absolutely stuffed trailer, breaking some poor unknowing other customer’s pictures and vacuum cleaner along the way. He had to empty much of his trailer into my driveway to squeeze some of my stuff in. He then put some of my boxes into his cab because his trailer was full. Once he had all of my stuff loaded and locked up he told me that my quote for $1200 (quoted with specific detail of a 2 pc sectional couch, twelve 18”x18”x16” boxes and a queen sized mattress, box spring and head/footboard by Mark at AA) was only half of what it should be and that I had to sign his paperwork for him to go forward with the delivery. This is where I believe his company broke the law. Amnon lied about what my cubic footage was, and by holding my belongings ransom he forced me to sign a paper agreeing. As it was 3AM and I could not reach anyone in the main office at AA or Statewide Relocation, I was literally held hostage to sign. The next day the creepy dispatcher with a split personality (Barbie) basically told me that it was not her problem, and that I did not hire her company but rather AA movers, and that the driver was just from a company she contracted (United Moving Services, LLC out of NJ, USDOT: 2086779/mc:736661). I argued that it was her company that took the prepaid certified check payable to “Statewide Relocation” which is the company that she works for, and her contracted company that lied about the size of my load but somehow she just did not see it was her problem since she already had my money, and now my stuff. I also argued that my quote detailed specifically, even with dimensions, the entire load. It did not make a difference to her. After several weeks of lies about when I would receive my stuff, and about where it even was, I received a call from another driver (Alex). He proceeded to dictate to me that he doesn’t care that his company told me specifically to purchase a certified check for the outstanding (but fraudulently inflated) balance, and that he would accept only cash. This forced me to have money wired for a $50 fee from my bank account back in my previous home state. I was given a time period of 10am-2pm for my delivery which, of course, came and went without any word from the driver. So I called to inquire about what his new estimated arrival time was. An hour later he arrived and to my amazement had all of my stuff. Alex was the only professional that I experienced with this company and he really does not seem to fit the mold of the others in the company. Not quite sure why he works for this company because he is definitely a cut or two above the rest of these clowns. My stuff was delivered with minimal damage for $800 more than it should have been. I guess that is worth 1 star. Although I have decided not to sue for the $800 that they stole from me, I am still going to take legal action against both AA, Statewide relocation, and United Moving Services by filing a formal criminal complaint with the Attorney General’s offices in both Florida and New Jersey. Unless you want to deal with all of this as I did, please find another, more professional/reputable carrier for your move.

  12. Terrible moving experience.

The name of the company contracted with was "Nationwide Movers," but the company that arrived to do the actual mover was "State Wide Relocation." Movers scheduled 4-6 p.m. arrival but finally showed up at 9:30 p.m. (on a weeknight) and then spent 3 hours moving contents of apartment down 3 flights of stairs which understandably resulted in neighbors calling the police b/c of the noise. Police were understanding but was an embarrassing experience all around. And then we were charged $4500 though the original quote was $2200. We expected some adjustment in the final charge but more than twice the original quote was outrageous--a classic "bait and switch" ruse! This company should simply not be allowed to operate.

  13. Do Not Use!!

Where do I even begin? After booking my move through another company, somehow I ended up being passed along to Statewide Relocation. Pickup was a day late (due to weather, I can understand that) however I received NO COMMUNICATION from them after they had my items. On day 10, I gave them a call to see where my stuff was and was told "it might arrive Thursday or Friday" - after hearing NOTHING back (when I was told I'd get 24 hours notice), called them back on Friday and was told "will likely arrive this weekend"). Finally got a call on Saturday from someone who barely spoke English telling me that he MIGHT arrive Sunday morning or maybe that night. Had to rush home and WAIT around for them to arrive (the office was closed & the driver didn't answer his cell phone).

My items finally arrived late on Saturday morning and I was immediately ripped off for a $75 "long haul fee" when my apartment is literally steps from the parking lot. I had only one person unloading my belongings, the truck driver, and the process took FOREVER. I was made extremely uncomfortable by the driver as he repeatedly hit on me while I was alone in my apartment. ALL of my boxes arrived extremely beat up, with many FRAGILE labeled boxes arrived UPSIDE DOWN. The driver offered no assistance as far as taking boxes to their intended rooms and I was left with a pile of 20 heavy boxes in the middle of my living room. When I unpacked I had several glass items shattered after they had been carefully packed away.

And here I am, no one cares or will listen and I feel EXTREMELY ripped off. I'd absolutely avoid Statewide at all costs and try to find an honest, professional moving service.

  14. Statewide & Budget.

Budget is the 2nd worst company for any service I have ever used. Budget is a moving broker and used Statewide Relocation for the pickup and Quick Move for the delivery. All
three seem to be in cahoots. Budget quoted a low price (2459.).When Statewide arrived early they raised the price to $6000.I had no other recourse.Other carriers quoted me
6-7 k which would not include the $806 nonrefundable deposit. I was told this price was due to last minute necessity. Statewide then promised 24 hour advance
notice. The carrier (Quickmove) called at 11:30 AM and wanted to deliver immediately.
This was gotten around but the 2 Quickmove employees arrived at 8:30 PM and did not leave until 1 AM. I was forced to sign an inventory checklist without verifying and was told by the driver 'don't worry it's all there.' The other person did not speak English. The delivery folks told me that they were never advised of the 24 hour advance call. They did not even get the job until 18 hours prior to delivery. DO NOT TRUST BUDGET,STATEWIDE,OR QUICKMOVE. Budget said whatever was needed to get the contract. Statewide & Budget do not have poor customer service;they have NO customer service. This whole move has been a nightmare and I have not even finished unpacking yet. So far I have found sev-
eral items broken and some items that were packed in marked boxes for easy id are
missing. DO NOT TRUST BUDGET,STATEWIDE,OR QUICKMOVE. STATEWIDE IS THE WORST OF THE THREE.

  15. Very unprofessional.

When we first spoke to this company, John, the "VP" told us that other companies charge more because they are simply middle men and that statewide movers does not contract out and that's why they're cheaper. Total lie. Not that we would have cared anyway if they contracted out for our cross-country move. During your initial conversation, John will go on and on about how great of reviews they have and will tell you to look for yourself. Don't be fooled. They're phony. All the reviews that are poor are a little more believable. Next, they say they offer 24/7 customer service on their website. Again - total lie, and probably the most frustrating part of the whole experience. You will not hear from them again. Every number listed on their site is redirected back to John's cell phone so don't even bother. The only person you will hear from is the drivers if you're lucky. We did at one point get a lady on the phone who was ridiculously rude and who was so antsy to get off the phone. She kept trying to find any reason to "have to call me back." No one will ever call you back. Lastly, watch what you sign. After you sign the paperwork they will fill information in after. Make sure everything is filled out all the way before signing. This company is dishonest and after talking to the drivers that delivered our things, turns out Statewide Movers lied on paperwork to them as well. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and should be ashamed. If you really want to see how professional this company is, actually read their website. It's full of misspellings, poor grammar. That's a red flag if any. I wish we would have done so. What's even more humorous is that in the same amount of time it took for them to write those phony reviews, they could call their customers back or brush up on customer service skills. Customer service goes along way and word of mouth will fail this company. We eventually paid the same amount we would have if we would have gone with a legitimate company. Save yourself the frustration.
