  1. I had a wonderful experience.

    Serviced by Yury and Sean.These young men arrived on time,surveyed the move and immediately began work.My wife and I worked with them,answering questions,from room to room.After 20 years in military with numerous home moves,I can say that this was by far the most satisfying I've ever been.Not one mistake,no breakage,excellently done.Upon arrival at new home,again another men ,they surveyed area and began to unload.Just as professional as the load up.Please extend my "Thank you".

    The main comment/suggestion I have is related to the fact that we didn't do a walk through of the house we were leaving .I didn't even think of it,and it would have been helpful if the foreman had suggested it.There were a few small dings in the stairwell of the home we were leaving that required spackle and touch up paint(the armoire leg Made a hole in the drywall ).No big deal ,and I had the stuff on hand to fix it easily,but in retrospect I thought we should have done a walk through in case there had been something worse.Other than that ,I thought my movers were a great team.They worked hard and fast,yet seemed like they were having fun,which added to my comfort of having them do work for us.It was not stressful to have them moving our stuffs.I really appreciate movers who seem professional and are friendly to boot.Good job!

  3. Please Read: Would Not Recommend.

    Just wanted to share my experience with you, in hopes that I will save you a very bad experience with this moving company. I contacted Sunshine State Moving Co. to request information about pricing, pickup, delivery, etc.  Chad was the associate who helped me.  He was very informative and gave me all of the information I requested, and he did so with a positive attitude.  He sent over the binding estimate agreement, which I did read in full before I signed.  I addressed a concern regarding the delivery schedule of 5-21 business days.  Chad verbally acknowledged that my items would be loaded, delivered, and unloaded on the same day since the destination was only 3 hours away.   I was told that the movers would arrive at my place on a Friday between 9 and 11 am.  Not only was this confirmed by Chad, it was also confirmed by a second gentleman who called to go over the details with me about one week out from the move, and was confirmed a third time by the actual driver of the moving truck, who called me at 7:00 pm the night before to go over the logistics.  The next morning I received a phone call at 10:00 am from the driver informing me that he may not be able to load my things until around 2:00 or 3:00.  Fine.. it was a little behind schedule, but I was okay with that.  I received a second call from the driver not twenty minutes later telling me that he wasn't able to 'get a truck' and couldn't move me until Monday.  I called Chad to see if something could be worked out.  Nothing could be done.  I had to start a new job on the upcoming Monday, so I cancelled my services and had to find someone else at the last minute to move me.  I requested a refund for my deposit from Sunshine State Moving Company that same day.  They needed a written request.  I sent an email- that same day as well- (which was within the 72-hour required window), to which they said they'd process the request.  I never received my refund, even after email and verbal confirmation from two different associates that I would.  I've never been one to write reviews in the past, but I feel like if you are reading this, you should save yourself the risk of hiring a moving company that may or may not be able to deliver the goods.  Pun intended.  Good luck on your new adventure and I wish you the best in your movers search!!

    The Sunshine State Moving moved my rather large,heavy and bulky big box TV were wonderful.They prepared the TV for hauling in a very protective manner,were friendly and courteous and very professional.They represented your company very well.Quite a number of years ago I used your service and you have maintained your high level of excellence in the staff you hire.Give these guys a raise..they are wonderful representatives of Sunshine.Many thanks!

  5. Terrible Experience.

    There should be another option worse than poor in the overall rating.  I can't believe I used such a terrible company.  They called me non stop before they had my business and were very professional.  As soon as they had my $200 deposit I couldn't get in touch with anyone.  Chad told me it would take a week and a half to deliver my things.  It took over three weeks and once I got my things my tv was broken.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

  6. I am very pleased with the service.

    We were beyond thrilled with our moving experience(our last Move-not with your company-went very,very badly so we approached this one with trepidation..and this move more than made up for that horrible experience!). Our "sunshine state"showed up on time,were professional and courteous but also helpful ,efficient,and funny (moving can be stressful,a bit of humor goes a long way),helped us finish our move in half the time we'd estimated,and had smiles on their faces throughout!We will definitely be recommending your company to everybody in the area!

    Sunshine state moving were a pleasure to deal with in what was an extremely stressful house moving process.BRETT,who coordinated everything,was really flexible and understanding when our moving date kept changing(with less than 48 hours notice)and the guys who did packing and the move itself were cheerful,extremely efficient and very hard working.Plus ,there isn't even a scratch on the freshly painted walls of our new home!We had to book a packing service as we were so busy just before the move but we would definitely do that again,even if we did have more time,as it was so efficient.Not that we intend to move house again for a very long time..Excellent value for money and fantastic customer service.Highly recommended!

    Overall I was very pleased with the service provided . Max did an excellent job packing all the fragile items including glass table tops , flat screen tv , pictures and lamps . When all my furniture was delivered to Dallas they unpacked all the fragile items to make sure they did not break . The drivers stayed in touch with me to let me know whre they were and when exactly they were coming ,.

    Shawn and Freddy were the best!They were very nice,professional and had the best attitudes of any movers I have ever had- very positive,calm and reassuring.I've had other movers who were definitely corrupt-telling me at the last minute I had to pay in cash or pay 5% fee for using a credit or debit card.I had full trust in Shawn and Freddy and I highly recommend them.

    Yury and Azik were great!!We would like to give them more than excellent.These two young men worked harder than anyone we have ever seen.They were polite,they took excellent care of our home.They worked in terrible hot weather and were still very pleasant.If your company gives bonuses,these young men deserve one.We plan on moving again,once our new house is built,we definately will Call sunshine state moving.We will also request these same two young men to move us.We have already been great advertisement for you,we have told all our friend and family about the wonderful experience we had with your company.Be sure to thank these 2 young men again for us.Sincerely Tommy Burns.

  11. Never Again.

    I've never used a moving company before, and I PROMISE I will never use this one again.  When I first scheduled my move with this company, I received a quote of $1250.00, which was about $200 less than previous quotes I had received.  The woman, Amy, who I set everything up with, told me I would have my belongings delivered within 5 days of pick up.  After she received my downpayment, I could never get ahold of her again.  I was then talking to a man named Sean.  I was traveling from out of state to meet to movers from my old location, and was told that I would receive a phone call by 6PM the day before letting me know what time they would be at the house.  They did not call me until 8PM though, and told me that they would be at my location at 8AM.  I immediately had to get on the road, being that I was traveling from 5 hours away.    When the truck arrived, it had a 8x11" paper taped to both doors saying "Sunshine State Moving" (GHETTO!).  There were two young men, who didn't speak English very well.  Even though the items that were to be moved were the exact same ones listed on the inventory/quote, he then told me that it was going to cost me more because it was going to take up more cubic feet in the truck than they had expected.  They also charged me a total of $150 for packing supplies (even though they were supposed to be included).  All of my items were boxed and ready to go when they arrived, but they charged me for packing tape (at $3.50 a roll x 20 rolls) to tape the included blankets around the furniture, as well as charging me for plastic wrap to secure the wrapping blankets/furniture.  I was in a bind, and needed to be out of my apartment on that specfic day, so I had no choice but to go with it.  On a positive note, the two men were very polite.    The movers picked up my belongings on Saturday and I was told to expect them that Wednesday.  I called the office on Tuesday because I hadn't heard anything and needed to know if I needed to take off from work for the delivery.  When I called, I could not reach anyone from the 1-800 number that I had been using.  I found a phone number with a Florida area code on their website, so I called that, and actually got a man who primarily spoke English.  He told me that they would be delivering Friday or Saturday, and that they would call me at least 24 hours ahead of time to let me know for sure.  Friday came, and I didn't hear anything, so I called the 1-800 number and got Sean on the line again.  He told me that they would be there Sunday or Monday, and once again, that they would call me a day ahead.   Monday came around, and I still hadn't heard anything.  Then, I received a text message from a random number that I had never seen before asking if it would be ok for him to deliver my belongings at 10pm that night! I don't think that it gets any more unprofessional than that! I texted him back and told him to have the office call me to set up a proper time.  Sean called me and set up delivery for 8am on Tuesday.  I went ahead and worked things out with my manager to take the entire day off on Tuesday so that I could be home for the delivery.   Tuesday came, and at 9:30AM, the movers still hadn't arrived, and I hadn't heard from them.  After several failed attempts, I finally got Sean on the phone who told me he would try and contact the driver and then would get back to me.  Around 10:15, I received a text message from the driver saying that he was an hour away and that he would get on the road in 15 minutes.  When he arrived, he immediately wanted his payment before he would start bringing in my belongings.  Payment was in the form of cash or money order, and I had the cash, but after the way they had handled the situation, I did not want to give him the cash, and have him run off with my belongings, or not deliver them all, so I refused to give him the money up front.  He then refused to begin unloading my items, and said he'd have his dispatcher call me.  Sean then called me, and told me that he needed the payment or that they weren't going to be able to deliver my things and the next time they came out, they would charge me $500 more for an extra delivery fee.  Sean and I got into a heated argument after he would not accept responsibility for the poor service that they had provided me with, he hung up on me, and called the driver, telling him to leave with my belongings.   The driver then left, and I still didn't have any of my things.  I called the driver and asked him to come back with my items (because I already wasted a day off from work and really just wanted the process to be done and over with) and he said he would need the money and to check with his dispatcher.  THe driver came back, I paid him, and he delivered/set up my thing (mind you, it was only one delivery man).  He was professional during this portion of the delivery and everything arrived undamaged.  HOWEVER, I REFUSE to ever use this company again.  Save yourself the time, stress, and money, and go with a different company.

    Honestly I was running out of time and I didn't have time to get additional quotes.The reason I gave your office staff an average was due to the fact that no one called 2 days prior to confirm(I had to call the day before to confirm).There was some confusion as to wardrobe boxes as I thought I told the salesperson that we would need them however that message did not relay to the movers.I would give the movers a"beyond excellent" review.They were kind,professional and incredible workers!Very nice men.

  13. Will use again.

    Last time I used your service was more than 2 years ago.I was pleased with the service at that time,but I have to say,your company has certainly grown to a VERY PROFESSIONAL service.I appreciated the emails to confirm,the information regarding what to do in terms of packing to contacting the right people for changes in my address.The office staff was very kind and informative.I so much appreciated Yury and Azik.I could not believe how hard they worked and how caring and professional they were.They were AWESOME.Yury obviously a lot more experience and I could not asked for better help.He knew how to do it,how to do it right,and how to go the extra miles for EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!

  14. Should be put out of Business.

    These guys sounded so nice on the phone and after they got my money and my stuff on the truck they began extorting me. A $2000 estimate went to over $7000. I am fighting wwith them now tyrying to get my stuff but at this point I am not sure I will. It has been 20 days and they don't return my calls and are demanding the whole balance up front before they will send the stuff out for delivery. I am devasted and need help. I contacted moverescue.com and movingscams.com for guidance but its a nigthmare. Avoid these crooks!

  15. The movers had an excellent attitude.

    Azik and Kasper had an excellent attitude.Sandi was still learning,but worked hard.We truly enjoyed meeting them.We felt very comfortable having them handle our possessions.They worked hard and were extremely courteous.We felt that they represented your company well.We also appreciated the fact that the price was as quoted - no surprises.Thank you so much for your help with our move.We would never have been able to get our furniture in the apartment on our own.We will recommend you to anyone who is planning to move.
