  1. Worst experience I have ever had with any company !!

Beware !! Not sure if they are really under new ownership..I kind of doubt it because they are still located at the same address as when I used them. They literally threw my things off the back of their truck and into my storage unit. I lost pretty much everything in the move (dishes, crystal, furniture, lamps etc.) Most of the items were thing I had inherited from my grandparents and were irreplaceable.
When I walked down to their office to ask the so called "manager" to come look at how his employees had unloaded my things he refused to even walk 1000 feet down to my unit and take a look. Later when I called the owner (a dark haired short stocky guy) I don't remember his name it might have been Todd..to discuss what had happened he cussed me out on the phone and made multiple threats..later the manager of storage facility called the owner of Sure Load to investigate and he was cussed out and threatened..later the manager of the storage facility started investigating the owner of Sure Load and discovered that he had multiple felonies in other states and at that point Mark Lane (the owner of the storage facility) decided he wasn't going to renew their lease at his facility. This all occurred a couple of years ago and Sure Load could actually be under new ownership at this point..But PLEASE DO yourself a favor and make sure they really have changed hands before you use them..I promised myself that I would write this review and I am glad now that I finally did..

  2. Actual Cost WAY OVER Quote.

Todd, who owns this company, quoted my move at $2200 after walking the entire house and taking a very detailed inventory.  The actual cost ended up being $4000 and they charged the wrong card after I had their explicit agreement they would not do this.  Now Todd is ducking my phone calls and won't even call me back to dispute my claim.  The actual movers were some of the best we've used in the 7 moves we've done.  Shame they have to work for such a terribly run company.  Use somebody else.

  3. Exceeded my expectations!

I called Sure Load Moving to move from my home in CT to Mt. Pleasant, SC and they did a great job. I talked to Erik and got a quote over the phone and they were able to move me the next day. They were very kind, arrived on time and made it an easy experience. I can definitely recommend this company for anyone looking for a fast and easy move. Exceeded my expectations.

  4. Great Company.

SLM (Sure Load Moving) excelled our expectations! Their professionalism made our move from SC to Florida easy and enjoyable.  We used their “full service move” services. Our furniture was wrapped carefully, loaded/unloaded and delivered to Florida promptly. Pricing was very reasonable. A special thank you to Todd, Ralph, Brock, James, Ted & Tim for all of your help! ~You will be highly recommended~ Mark & Ashley Whisenant  .

  5. Sureload Moving Customer Unsatisfied.

Not a fan.  A lot of talk, but didn't walk the walk.  What happened to good old fashioned good business?  Look for a diamond in the ruff, not this company, they are just another grain of sand.  Exactly what did this crew think they were getting paid to do?  because they sure did complain a lot and had bad attitudes.  they show up late, overcharge me 30 minutes longer than they worked because they said they "round up" to the next hour! .

  6. Under New Ownership.

Sure Load Moving is under new ownership as of January 16, 2014 The new owner is committed to providing the optimum level of client service. They have made changes to their operating procedures and would like the opportunity to earn your business. I have used them twice and would highly recommend their services. The administrative staff was knowledgable and friendly. The guys that moved me were polite and professional. They were extremely careful with my furniture. I was charged the same price I was quoted. I have seen the negative reviews associated with Sure Load but they do not reflect the service I received.

  7. Terrible Moving Company.

THIS IS A DREADFUL MOVING COMPANY.  I Met Ralph, whom I liked very much when he gave me a quote, that seemed very reasonable.  Unfortunately, he 'misjudged' the amount of boxes and furniture by  almost 100 per cent.  So not only did we have to pay double the quote, we had to pay extra for our things to be stored in an additional truck for 4 nights. The company would not adjust the bill in anyway.  I expect a moving company to be accurate or close with the quantity and time frame of moving, after all this is supposed to be their  area of  expertise.  When collecting our belongings they did not provide enough people, and because of that, they had only packed half of our belongings the day they were supposed to complete moving out.  I called Ralph and clarified that we had to be out of the house at 11am for the walk through.  Everyone promised this would be the case.  At 10am my husband and I started helping, because it was clear this deadline was not going to be met.  During this morning, they also managed to gouge a wall three times and reverse the truck into the corner of the house and destroy the guttering.  Because of this our purchasers refused to sign until these things had been fixed, which added to our stress.   When unpacking at our new house we were told immediately by Josh (whom I liked bvery much) that a large piece of glass had been broken during the more.  I had purchased the additional insurance so assumed it would be reimbursed!  At the end of the moving day, Josh required my signature.  I asked him, if I had a discrepancy with the total amount charged, if I should still sign, he informed me yes so that he could leave the property, and told me this could all be resolved!  I also asked him and Ralph if I needed to keep the broken items.  I was informed that I didn't and that I should just put in a claim for those things.  Of the 5 items damaged, apart from the glass, none of these were large items.  Having just submitted my photo's and paperwork for the damage items, I was refused.  Because the owner informed me that I was supposed to unpack all my belongings before the truck left and notify the movers of any broken items. Noone ever informed me of this.  I was told to unpack at my convenience.  It would be an impossibility  to unpack almost 200 boxes.  The owner/company has refused to help, replace or reimburse in anyway.  I asked the owner to check with Josh regarding the broken items which he informed me of,and surprisingly he was no longer with the company.I would advise you to find another company.  I fear they low balled me to get my business and provided sloppy service during and after the move.  Find a more reputable company.

  8. So Happy - Highly Recommend!

These guys are the best! I did a local move and they were very professional, on time, and respectful. They moved my furniture and boxes very carefully and were eager to help with anything I asked. Everything was done quick and efficient. I could not have asked for a better moving experience. Highly recommend!

  9. Avoid at all costs!

Unaware of their recent negative online reviews, my wife and I just hired this company for a simple local move and our entire experience with them has been an absolute nightmare.  Unprofessional office staff, late arrival, incompetent untrained moving crew, unresponsive management, damaged furniture and missing items.   On a scale of 1 to 5, this business doesn't even deserve a 1.

  10. Worst Movers Did Not Show up at All.

BE AWARE BEFORE YOU SELECT THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. My move was scheduled few weeks in advance and I got a confirmation letter from Tyler (also the supervisor there). Tyler was very quick in taking away half the cost from my bank account when confirming the move, but the guys never showed up on the move date. We were all packed and waiting for the movers to come pick the stuff but they never showed up. When we called the company Tyler was no where to be found and we were not able to locate him that whole week. When we asked them why no one came to pick up our stuff they replied that our move was one week later. When I told them that I had a confirmation letter from the supervisor Tyler about my move date they began saying that may be someone made a mistake but they would not be able to come pick my stuff until a week. I had to catch a flight that night and didn't know what to do as they left me stranded. Tyler the so called supervisor was no where to be found and the salesman there did nothing to rectify the situation. I had to find another movers right away and pay $1000 extra to get the move started right away, could not make it to the flight that evening and had to buy another ticket after paying $500 to the airlines. These guys do not own up to their mistake and are ready to give any kind of compensation. All I asked them was to give me $500 dollars for the flight ticket that I had to buy for the next day. This is the worst company I found for moving your stuff and please stay away from them if you are planning your move.
