  1. Horrid Customer Service.

    I work for a moving and storage company in San Diego. It is my job to reach out to other moving companies throughout the United States to coordinate moves for my customers. The interaction that I just had with this company was HORRIFIC. The first time I called someone answered the phone then immediately hung up. So I called back and someone answered the phone, I asked if they had a forklift at their facility (so they could receive a freight shipment of my customers portable storage box). The man on the phone said "Sure, you give me $100 and I'll sell you a forklift." Laughed, then hung up the phone. Thinking this clearly must be a misunderstanding, I called back and this time a man by the name of Josh answered. I said I was looking for a mover and he said "nope, can't help you" and hung up in my face. If this is the way they treat prospective customer I shudder to think how they treat people who have already signed up with them. Please, I urge anyone who reads this review to STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

  2. Horrible, Don't Use Bekins/sykes Moving And Storage.

      HORRIBLE, DON'T USE BEKINS/SYKES MOVING AND STORAGE - BEKINS. Moved from CA to GA.  Our van was 10 days late, a full 17 days after pick up.  Their head office could not locate our van for 10 more days after the 7 day cross country trip, and could not tell us where our belongings were.  They would not reimburse us for 10 days in a hotel with 2 kids and 2 cats. We were scared that our entire van was taken to Mexico and we would never see our belongings again. Their corporate office including the office of the president would NOT even return our calls.  We finally traced our van ourselves to SYKES MOVING AND STORAGE, a Bekins holding lot on Vivian Sykes St. in Atlanta.  It had been sitting there for 10 days and Tom, the Bekins agent at Sykes Moving and Storage just didn't care if it ever got delivered. He said it was dropped off there by mistake and wasn't their problem.  It took 3 more days of screaming and threatening to call the police to get Tom at Sykes Moving and Storage - Bekins to deliver the van.  When they did, the "crew" looked like they had just been picked up from a street corner.  None of them could hardly speak English.  Even though the boxes were plainly marked, they literally threw everything into the main floor instead of putting each box in their respective rooms in this three-story home.  Lots of damage.  Tom is completely incompetent and a liar, so beware of this company.  .
