  1. Thank you guys.

I used this moving sevice to move from a 2 bedroom apartment in Dallas to a new 2 bedroom. These guys did an excellent job, they packed everything very carefully and quickly. All of my furniture and belongings arrived without any damages. I remained very happy with this moving service considering such a great deal that I got. I would definitely recommend this moving company to all of my friends and family and everyone who is looking for a reliable moving company.

  2. Great service!!

I have move cross country about 12 times in the past 10 years. I must say I am very happy with the Texas Movers Group crew.At pick up Chayanne, Bryan and Alfonzo did an awesome job packing our belongings in to boxes and the were just nice people to work with. The delivery was great as well,Alamo did the impossible and fit my HUGH sofa in the house thou the from window! I was impressed. Thanks again guys, if I move again I know who to call to.

  3. Definitely recommend.

Michael, Omoro, Shea, and Shawn were very helpful.

Getting an estimate was easy with Michael's help.

The packers, Omoro, Shawn, and Shea called a day before coming and an hour before arriving. Very courteous and quickly loaded everything.

Shawn was very helpful explaining and detailing how the process will continue into the delivery phase.

Give these guys a call. Definitely recommend.

  4. Want hassles?

Texas Movers Group moved my household goods from AR to WA summer of 2015. If you want headaches, hassles, missed delivery dates, intimidating and unprofessional delivery drivers, and customer service reps who are hard to reach then this is the moving company for you! Our original quote was well below actual shipping costs, goods were lost, delivery dates were missed, it has been nothing but unpleasant..I am currently waiting on a refund for a missed delivery date that was supposed to be delivered 5 business days ago. I got the ole, "the check's in the mail" response and then the, "the check's been fed-exed I'll call with the tracking number" response. I don't have my refund or a tracking number yet and I'm not hopeful. CHOOSE ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY!!

  5. Smooth service like a boss.

Let’s not make it longer. Texas movers group is the best in its own field. This was my 4th time taking their service while moving to NY and my perception about them just got stronger. Like before, this time I also got their best deal and best service with a significant loyalty discount. They are the real player in this field. You will believe my words right after starting dealing with them. I wish them all the best for their bright and shiny future.

  6. Worth every penny.

These boys are amazing. Ashley was very helpful and gave me a quote over the phone. On the day of moving, Tom and his team were able to get everything packed in under two hours! They were totally professional and completely charming. AND they came all the way over the bridge for me (I had multiple recommendations)! I'd never hired movers before this, but this was SO worth it. I'll always use Texas movers group!!

  7. These guys are frauds.

My experience: like some of the other people on Yelp, I was quoted a price and the finale was almost triple. But that does not begin to get into the [EDIT] storm they rained on me. The original quote was 1600, the final bill was 3800. So I paid a down payment and paid them 1500 for half of the move. The kept saying they wanted a check and not a credit card. If I paid by credit card I would have to pay 4 percent more (which they never mentioned in the original quote). So I paid by check. So this is where it's getting crazy. They deposited my check for 1500 and then they printed another check for additional 1500. I thought maybe they did this so when the movers moved my stuff into the final destination, I didn't have to pay any more. Even though it was more than the original bill. But when the movers arrived they wanted an additional 1400. I talked to the owner and said that they have more than the money I owe because they took out 1500 twice. He said no, they did not. I showed the driver my bank statement. But the owner of Texas movers told the driver if I didn't pay 1400 in cash that they should put my stuff in storage. Never mind that they were 3 days late on the delivery. I told the owner I would email the statement showing two checks of 1500 for a total of 3000 withdrawn from my account, plus my original deposit. His response; mail it, he didn't want me to email it. He would now refund my money. I was in a bit of a situation, they had all me stuff and unless I paid more money they would keep my stuff. The driver actually told me that if it went into storage, I may never see my stuff again. I decided to pay and the 1400 in cash. Lots of stuff of broken, and stuff was moved on the wrong floor. And stuff was not put back together per the contract. Wells Fargo refunded my 1500 and is doing a check fraud investigation on Texas movers group. I am also filing a charges against them for check fraud. Texas movers are literally crooks. If anyone wants proof, email me at bauerchris77@hotmail.com. I will show you my bank statements showing the double withdraw and Wells Fargo return of the money because of fraud. Do not use texasmoversgroup, the are crooks.

  8. Excellent Movers!

I had a very good experience with Texas Movers Group. They are professional movers with the best service. The crews were work hard and finished on time. We got everything in good condition, nothing were broken or missing. One of the best service that I was impressed about them of movers were excellent. You will impress if you use Texas Movers Group for your move.

  9. Solid company.

Moving is always a stressful business, so one should be prepared for surprises. That said, my experience with Texas Movers Group was relatively stress-free. The movers who picked up my things in Texas were very courteous and prompt, they explained all the charges very well, and the whole pick up went very smoothly. The shipment got to the DC very quickly. The delivery guys in DC were not as professional, but my understanding is that they are simply contractors, and not part of the actual company. They weren't able to put together a wardrobe that the other guys had taken apart, but the company found someone else to come do it for me. The only hold up was that my couch didn't fit in the elevator of my new building, which meant that I would have to pay about $600 extra for the movers to bring it up to the 8th floor. I would recommend that when you request a quote from any moving company you make sure that all of your pieces of furniture fit in the elevator, or you might face extra charges for the movers carrying your items up and down the stairs. Overall, my experience was very positive. It was clear that the company took great care to avoid any damages as much as they could, and Michelle was always there to answer my questions. Definitely recommend.

  10. Other reviews employee written? I cannot believe this experience.

This will be a long review, so I will just summarize it quickly as a tldr before I get into details. This company: 1) Estimated my move based on weight and then changed it to cubic feet when they arrived. 2) Arrived with a blank bill of laden and filled it out after the fact. 3) **Doubled** the estimate of the move *after* they had loaded everything onto the truck. 4) Took advantage of my emotional state and pressured me to sign things that were not true. 5) Broke a glass item while packing up my stuff and did not tell me about it. They left the huge chunk of glass in the bedroom where my dog was and she could have gotten into it. 6) Provided me with a **Craigslist** helper when it came time to unload my goods.

I moved from Austin, TX to Portland, OR. I got estimates with several moving companies, some of them in-home. My salesperson was Zach. The prices ranged from $2400ish to $3600ish. Most of the more expensive ones went off of cubic feet instead of weight. Texas Movers estimated the weight of my stuff to be around 4.5 tons. Even the guys that checked out my 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in person estimated about this much. I was feeling confident that it seemed thfat everyone was on the same page. I even tried to overshoot my over-the-phone estimates so that I wouldn't end up being caught off guard. I eventually went with the Texas Movers Group because they had quoted based off of weight. I liked that better since while I have a decent amount of furniture, it is mostly lightweight stuff. I also thought that Zach was quite friendly and he said he would be my point of contact throughtout the whole move. But I never heard from him again.

I felt confident that everything would be alright until the movers showed up. They did show up on time and for that I was grateful, but I started feeling anxious when the driver started pushing me through the paperwork very quickly and would not give me time to read over everything. He kept assuring me it was fine and to hurry and sign because they needed to get going. He looked around my apartment and said I had more stuff than he thought I did and they had to hurry. I thought this was strange since I had confidently felt I quoted everything accurately. Still, after signing, he and his two guys other guys that did not speak any English came in to pack up my remaining goods and start getting stuff out to the truck.I liked the driver all right, but I did not appreciate his helpers. They were disrespectful to my belongings and threw trash on the ground with no regard. I couldn't begin to supervise everything while I was still tying up lose ends of my own. I had already paid my deposit of 1/5th of the full cost when they had arrived.

Once the movers had my stuff, I was supposed to pay half of the remaining cost. I went out to the bank to get the funds and when I came back, all of my stuff was loaded on the truck. The driver told me he might not be able to accept the funds as it wasn't enough. My price had not only increased, but had *doubled*. They said it was because I had more than they thought I did and it took up more space. They had estimated it would take up 600 square feet and they claimed it ended up taking 1200 square feet. It did not look like that much to me in the truck, but the driver glossed over it. English was not his first language and he was difficult to understand. He kept trying to tell me that weight and square footage was the same thing. I ended up calling the managers and talking with them while I was continuously being pressured to hurry and sign the final paperwork. This was the last day of my lease with the apartment and they said if I didn't sign, they wouldn't take the stuff. During that time, they took off $200 from my doubled bill.

After the movers had left and my boyfriend and I started to pick up all the trash they left so we could get going too, I discovered a hugdae chunk of glass from a candle holder was left on the ground in the guest bedroom where my dog was being stored. This glass is incredibly thick and I still can't imagine how they broke it, but nonetheless it was broken and just left there where my dog could have seriously hurt herself. I was not too worried about the damaged item, as it was not particularly expensive, but I was significantly displeased that no one cared to inform me of it and had just left it there with a live animal no less. I attached a picture of what was left in my home.

During the next few days while I was driving across the country, I kept in touch with a dispatch manager in Florida, named Sean. He sounded French, but I cannot be sure. When I informed him of my dissatisfaction of the price change, the estimate being based on false terms, the broken item etc, I frequently felt brushed off. He talked over me a lot and kept on making sure I was going to pay. He refused to tell me the weight of my items even though I requested it multiple times. I am convinced that my item weight was still close to the original estimate. It wasn't until I pointed out the fact that I did not feel valued and I felt like he was being rude that he started talking to me more like a normal person, except that he kept using terms like 'sweetheart' to address me. He ended up taking another $100 off in the end and giving me an additional $50 as a claim for the broken item. He continuously pointed out how quickly my things would be arriving as a diversion to the poor service I had received.

When the movers arrived at my new location, they were of course from a different company, unaffiliated with the Texas movers other than to finish the connection. The driver was a lovely man and he had no idea about my awful experience. I felt bad for him when I explained my situation and asked him what would happen if I couldn't afford to pay the bill. Sean called me again and told me that if I didn't pay the full amount, my stuff would be put into storage in Seattle and I would be charged a redelivery fee of $800 when I did eventually pay. While I was still in no way satisfied, I paid the rest of the bill. The helpers hadn't arrived yet, so the driver started unloading by himself. One guy showed up who was quite slovenly and while he worked hard for the most part, he was kind of gross. He farted a lot right in front of us, but I was grateful that he at least new English. It seemed like they couldn't get their other scheduled guy to show so they ended up sending a dude from Craigslist. He was great and he still worked extremely hard but I was mindblown from the fact that they just hired a random person from Craigslist. It could have been anyone and stuff could have been stolen without my knowledge.

In the end a few things were broken like one of the slats on the futon and a few draws from my admittedly cheap dressers. I think only one box was missing, and fortunately it wasn't too valuable. It had things like toilet paper, towels, trash bags, and cat cleaning supplies in it. Another thing that I found to be disappointing was that the movers dumped out my dresser drawers into boxes. You might argue that this was done to keep the goods safe or to make the dressers lighter, but the boxes themselves were half full and the stuff not of particular heaviness to begin with, inidicating that it was done just to fill up more boxes and thus take up more space. I have not bothered to pursue additional claims for those damages. I think it is more important that people know about these shady dealings from a young woman who must have seemed easy to take advantage of. I ultimately do feel that I was swindled.

  11. Red Flags From Minute 1.

Binding quote of $5,280 - when the guys arrived in the (unmarked, too small) truck *4 hours LATE, I was informed that my furniture was "over-sized" and would cost me $10,000.
I was FORCED to pay upfront & sign a BLANK contract (as more reviewers have stated on other reviews such as yelp).  The men packing my belongings grunted, moaned, and goaned about things we wanted to take to our new home!  Due to them arriving late, they had to come back the next day, I had to leave the house to get my children from school and when I returned to the house (the movers were gone) there were 3 closets left un-emptied at all and other items left for good.  They had to come back again, and still did not get it all!  My wife wrote a review based on our experience thus far, and Michael the "Manager" FORCED her to remove it or he would NOT have our belongings delivered!  We were again FORCED to pay/sign up front that ALL of our belongings had been delivered, when in fact they had not! We are missing at least 2 5' boxes!  Many items are damaged, greatly!  We have since hired an atty and he is unable to get their atty to return faxes, calls, or emails!  Will update when something is done!   Through the entire experience if you want to speak to someone in the office or NEED to, you have to leave a voicemail EVERY TIME!  Through this entire thing I probably called that office 40 times and NEVER got a live person! Always had to leave a voicemail, then Michelle would call me back!

The movers that delivered our belongings, did NOT want to put the boxes in the corresponding rooms!  They wanted to pile it up in the formal living area 100lb boxes on top of another for my wife to unstack and drag to the rooms.  She was alone at the time as I was out of town! Attached are just 2 pics (this only allows 2), we have 30 items broken, scratched, dented, melted, etc!

  12. Great experience!!

Sown, Rafael, Walter, Slava and the team packed up my 70" TV and took special csre of all of my belongings like they were their own goods. Great service and a very fast move!! Michelle was very helpful through the entire process. She took care of every need and answered the phone even late at night when I had a question or concern.

  13. Recommended!

Wow… what an amazing moving company, I just had a move with Texas Moving Group and I was so impressed with their professionalism, they were all so helpful and gentle with all of my belongings. It was a pretty big move from TX to IO so I was a bit nervous about the condition my things would arrive in, but to my pleasant surprise everything was in perfect shape. I strongly suggest use Texas Moving Group for your move.

  14. Professional Services!

My move with Texas Moving Group was great! The price was the best I had seen and my move from TX to UH was a breeze. The guys worked efficiently and packed up my apartment in no time and unpacked the truck with the same ease. Great price and professional service.

  15. Amazing Moving company!

I was unsure about hiring movers since it seems a bit excessive, but I had a very short time frame to get out and settled in. Thank goodness my friend recommended Texas Moving Group to me. They did a great job at an amazing price. Mark and his crew arrived on time on the schedule day and were very polite and professional. They loaded all my items very fast and careful to their track. A week later my shipment was delivered to me in very good condition. I will definitely recommend Texas Moving Group.
