  1. Do Not Hire These Movers!!

This is the first time I have ever hired movers, and the first time I have written a review. I did my research and found that they were highly recommended and was very very disappointed by the service we got. I was very detailed in the items we had to move during my initial call and was told that for my VERY small 2 bedroom duplex home, it would take 4 hours with 3 movers for $600 quote. This is not the service I was given. Here is the list of the problems we had:
    1. THEY WERE 2 HOURS LATE. No explanation, no text or call to notify me they would be late. When I called the office, I had to call 3 times to get someone to call me back just to tell "the guys are running late". They asked for an hour window for the movers to show up and they were still an hour later than that.
    2. THEY BROUGHT AN EXTRA MOVER. Without notifying me or checking to see if I was ok with this mind you. Since they did not say anything (and since he appeared to be a teenager) I assumed they brought along a family member and I would not be charged.
    3. THEY TOOK ALMOST TWICE AS LONG TO MOVE my things as what was quoted. When my step dad was there, they were moving very quickly, as soon as he left, things slowed down to a crawl. What should have taken 4 hours took over 6 hours. (Could it be because I am a woman and I was alone, we may never know). I do know that myself and a few friends moved everything in 5 hours and we are not professionals.
    4. THEY BROKE SEVERAL ITEMS. One of which was a very expensive DJ turntable that my husband uses for work. On top of that, they lied about asking me to take it, they did not. They said I should have taken anything that was valuable. ALL OF MY BELONGINGS ARE VALUABLE and if you are not going to treat it that way then you should not be moving people's things. And worst of all, though they are insured for things like this, they have REFUSED to pay for the items and we are now having to look at civil court proceedings. Not to mention that when we tried to contact Kingsley, the owner of the company, he took more than 10 days and over 5 messages before he finally flat out lied to my husband and then refused to pay for the damage.
    5. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME DOUBLE WHAT THEY QUOTED. After all of this, they came back stating that because it took them more than 6 hours with 4 men it came to $1100. I expected that the quote was a quote and could be off a bit, maybe $100-$200 at the most. NOT $500!! I of course was not able nor would I have paid that much since I know for a fact it did not have to take as long as it did and I did not approve an extra person. I ended up paying $800 which I seriously considered cancelling once I saw my broken belongings.

BOTTOM LINE: NEVER WORK WITH THIS COMPANY.
I'm sure Kingsley will add some message responding to this stating that they tried to work with me, which they didn't or try to fluff the company as he has others who have had similar experiences, don't fall for it. I did and it caused me nothing but grief.
