  1. 10/10 service!

    Scheduling movers with United was easy, efficient, and they did a great job. We hired a crew of theirs for a labor-only job to help us load up a POD that I had delivered to our home. I had gone back and forth with United several times with regard to the date of the job, since we had some setbacks, and they never gave me a hard time about it at all. And then were eventually able to schedule something for like 2 days out when we were finally ready! I really appreciated their accommodations and attitude about scheduling.

    As for the actual moving crew, Hector, Juan, and Vargas arrived exactly on time, worked super hard, were very efficient, and in general it was a totally smooth experience. I felt as thought they packed and moved our items with care, and they were serious tetris masters in being able to fit as much into that POD as they did. I was so impressed, we have a lot of stuff!

    We are planning on hiring United again to help with the rest of our move after our house sells, and I would handily recommend Hector and his crew for any future moving needs you may have.

  2. Company review

    Flawless move!

    I was referred to the company by a former co-worker of mine, I was transferring locations and have never done an service move or even an international move for that matter. I was a little skeptical at first but I must say I was very impressed. From the very beginning ben alongside his company were beyond very helpful, staff was immaculate and very prompt and professional with answering any questions I had and returning each and every phone call. Like I said in the beginning I was very skeptical because of horror stories I have heard in the past, but ben was very informative and hepful during the duration of my move. COMPLETELY redirected me! The movers were very promt and polite as well, VERY PROFESSIONAL might I add. They gave me calls frequently to let me know where they were each and every step of the way. If I had any questions I trusted I was able to call ben and get a direct answer within minutes. I must say, I will refer this company to friends and family. They have exceeded my expectations of any mover, THANK YOU ALL SERVICES AND STAFF !

  3. Thank god

    My wife and I bought a house in January, and after our last experience moving on our own, we decided NO. This time we're using movers!

    At this point, the day of the move is kind of a blur in my memory. The crew we worked with consisted of Hector, Manuel, and Johnny. These 3 gentlemen BUSTED THEIR ASSES on move day. I could not believe the speed and efficiency with which they got all of our stuff out of the apartment. Absolutely incredible. Not only were they fast, but they were very professional, and always letting me know if they found some kind of damage on our furniture & belongings before moving them.

    We got our things about three weeks later and they set EVERYTHING up (sans the boxes.) If you've never used movers before, once you do, you will NEVER go back. Thank you again to Hector, Manuel, and Johnny. You guys are amazing!

  4. Excellent Service from California to Louisiana...

    I recently moved from California to Louisiana and I am glad that I choose United Transportation Moving & Storage. Best part was it was in my budget and they have done everything to adjust within my budget. I was given a time frame of 2 to 5 PM for pick up and they were very punctual and came on time. The pick up and delivery guys very excellent and very well knew their job. I am happy and completely satisfied. THANK YOU UNITED MOVERS.

  5. A good review

    I hardly ever write a review, and no one at this company asked for one or suggested it. I just want to show my appreciation for their high level of professionalism and service.

    I don't think anyone likes moving, I was dreading this day, we had a tuck full o items from storage and it was complicated. Plus I booked them for the move at the last minute.

    Everything went so much smoother than I thought

    you arranged it exactly as I asked, and his crew were amazing from the moment they arrived--on time. They had great attitudes, were fast, careful with our possessions, and highly skilled at fitting more than I thought could possibly fit into the space we had.

    I will never look forward to moving but I will feel differently next time and will definitely use this company again. Thank you.

  6. Cross country move

    Tommy, delivery estimator, was responsive and helpful and the movers at both pick-up and delivery were efficient and professional and all items arrived undamaged. Communication with office and dispatch was terrible and it took almost 4 weeks with little information that I didn’t have to pester to receive. We got notice at 4pm that movers would arrive between 8-11am the NEXT day (after 25 days waiting) Movers arrived 4pm and again, no communication that wasn’t me pestering. No efforts to reduce paperwork in processing payments until final delivery when I was not near a printer or computer. Hugely frustrating that could have been mitigated by phone calls or emails with reliable updates.

  7. Absolutely a horrible company - Avoid at all cost

    United Transportation will give you an inexpensive estimate to get your business. Then, the actual expenses are much higher (from cost of boxes to adding 10% fuel surcharges; it wouldn’t matter, which directions you are heading- they will charge you this fuel surcharge).

    We have accepted all these extra costs, but to to top it off, they are extremely careless with moving - they broke my dearest instrument (Lute) into pieces. I showed the broken instrument to the driver, he told me to take a picture and email it to the company. Totally, hard-broken and full of tears in my eyes, as writing this message.

    Third, they will never deliver your furniture on time. They will be late days to weeks. This is just beyond what is expected in any professional company.

    I may have forgiven everything if they did not broke my Lute. I am just hard-broken.

  8. USDOT 778030 THIEVES AND SCAMMERS

    USDOT 778030- BEWARE, SCAM, THIEVES, AND MAY BE USING MORE THAN ONE NAME, NUMBER AND ADDRESS!

    I spoke with Jasmin to book a move for the 26th-27th of May from Florida to Kansas. Nobody called me to tell me when the driver would be coming. Finally on the 26th when I called them they said the driver would be there on the 27th. When the driver didn't show up on the 27th I was told that he had a move that took up 3/4 of the truck when it was supposed to only take up half the space and that he could come at 10 PM that night or on the 28th in the morning. I opted for the morning. The driver did show up in the morning. After he fully packed the truck, he said that he had to take pictures of my items on the truck to show the office and they would tell him if I would be charged more money. READ YOUR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES GUYS (I'll share the link below). On page 6 it says: If the mover does not give you a new binding estimate in writing, or agree in writing to convert the binding estimate to a non-binding estimate before your goods are loaded, the original binding estimate is reaffirmed. Under these circumstances, your mover should not charge or collect more than the amount of the original binding estimate at delivery for the quantities and services included in the estimate.

    Anyway, the driver said that my price of $1,250 is now going to change to $1,650. I told him that's insane and I would give him $1,000 via zelle and dispute the rest with the company. With that, he drove off with my stuff and said that my items should be delivered within the week.

    According to the attached contract, the company legally has 2-12 business days to deliver my goods based on the mileage of my move. However, Adam and Alex continue to say that they legally have 21 business days to deliver said items.

    As of today, June 24th, my household goods still haven't showed up and after reading the reviews for these people this seems to be very common for them. If you look at the links below you'll see that they are not BBB accredited and on the transportation website they already have 22 complaints this year.

    Three days ago, Adam said they don't want my things because they wouldn't get that much money for it, he even explained the process he would have to go through to sell it (which tells me he does this often). We have no idea where my things are. I've been told a bogus address in Miami by Alex, and Adam told me it's in some warehouse in Georgia but he won't tell me the address. We even told him that we'll go pick the items up from Georgia ourselves and Adam said he can't do that because there's nobody at the warehouse to open up for us. He said that he's working on getting my stuff to me and he'll call me back to let me know if we can pick it up or if he'll be able to deliver it soon. He never called back (it's been 3 days since that conversation). Pray that these people get caught, and are prosecuted, and never do this to anyone else. Also pray that we get our things back. I have 5 children that would like their items to come home. Please see links below and attached items.

  9. Worst nightmare ever

    We used this company for moving our family to move us .. and it was a the worst experience ... There is a full fledged investigation by the DOT and the 3 states

  10. I want my table

    .It’s been 21 days since my move in (April 28th) 2 weeks since y’all “finally discovered the table was delivered at the stop before” and 2 weeks since I’ve heard anything at all.

    From the start I did everything as a good customer should I scheduled over a month in advance (and the delivery date still was not met), paid my deposit, made sure I did the best I could to ensure a smooth transition from the date of pick up to the date of drop off.

    And all I’ve got in return is unprofessionalism the scheduled delivery date was missed (wasn’t even notified until the scheduled time was missed), the inventory list wasn’t even made available until the driver arrived (i would’ve caught the missing items then, I said I’d file an insurance claim and was told since it wasn’t on the inventory list I can’t (that really took the cake), I was charged $700 more than the quote for “additional space” and I didn’t even get all my stuff, there were several items missing that I have since replaced and all I want is my kitchen table. I haven’t been able to sit down and eat with my kids as a family in 21 days! This is ridiculous I call and they tell me they’ll have the person handling it call back she still has not. I was already made to feel as if I was lying about the table even being in the unit by the delivery driver his words “are you sure you had a table” no I just go buying dinning room chairs as collector items. I have the original receipt from the purchase and I will go to my insurance and your insurance by the end of the week….shoot I’ll come get it just give me my table. PLEASE.

  11. Fraud

    ***WARNING*** this company is a fraud! It has been 28 days (and counting) since this company took my belongings!! They will NOT return calls or emails after your stuff are picked up. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, FMCSA and will pursue legal actions.

  12. Missing items- NO action

    On a move from California to Texas, an essential part for an adjustable chair was lost. The company really gave us the run around, and after we have provided all requested information, they stopped responding. On the last call to them, they were quite rude. The lady on the phone said she never received our information, she was not our contact anyway but when we asked her name so we could also send it to her, SHE WOULD NOT GIVE HER NAME even though she said the information should go to her! We paid for added coverage for lost/damaged items, but they will not honor the claim. We have been trying for about 5 months to get this resolved. TERRIBLE customer service!

  13. I Still Do Not Have My Items

    I have to be completely honest here, I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with United Moving Inc. There have been so many issues that I'm just going to start from the beginning. I was extremely thorough when I packed my belongings. I used sterilite containers so that I could get the exact measurements, I had a list of all of my items with sizes, I had everything already broken down and organized so that I could give the correct information to potential moving companies.

    When I got the initial quote from Kim, she came back to me with a bid of around $1400. I knew from all of the other bids from different companies, that this had to be inaccurate. I called her back and told her so, and asked her to double the amount she had initially quoted me at the very least because I did not think it was accurate. She came back with $3k, which seemed more in line with what other companies told me.

    I explained to her that we were leaving the state on 4/12 as we had to be in Wyoming on the 14th to take possession of our property. I paid the $600 deposit and set a pick up time for 8-10 am on Saturday 4/10. We had multiple family plans that weekend, for us, since we were moving so far from everyone.

    I received a call from Anna on Thursday 4/8 explaining that our pick up tie would have to be moved to Sunday, and that she would call me back on Friday 4/9 to let me know the time. During that conversation I told her that I needed the pickup time to stay the same. I never heard from her Friday, even though I called her direct line and the company line.There was no voicemail set up. I called and sent emails multiple times over the weekend. I never heard from her at all. The driver finally called me on Sunday morning at nearly 10 saying he was on his way. I was unable to be at the house, but my 74 year old grandmother offered to be there with the other half of my order amount in cash.

    She called me in a PANIC. The driver told her that the size on the initial work order was incorrect. She asked him to calculate the difference, and it came back as $2200 MORE than the already adjusted quote. We had budgeted in a possible $500 dollar difference, just in case there was an issue, but $2200? That was astronomically different to what was explained. My mother had to drive over to help my grandmother deal with this.

    The drivers ended up only taking what was written on the 'Quote', and even after stacking our cars to the absolute limit while still being able to fit our children and pets in the cars, we had to leave behind items. It has been over a week since our items were picked up by this company and there is still no delivery date in sight. My children are sleeping on air mattresses on the floor, asking me where their toys are. We had to go out and purchase over a thousand dollars worth of household goods just to keep our home running. I have had bare minimum responses to my inquiries, and I am trying to be as civil in this matter as possible, but I am honestly at my limit.

    The amount of unprofessionalism and communication with this company makes me wonder they are even in business. On the website they claim to be "courteous and knowledgeable", but I have found this to be completely incorrect from my experience. Apparently, according to their site, they can be reached 7days a week, which at this point we all know is completely false.

  14. California -MI Move

    First of all DO NOT use these people!!!! There are not enough bad reviews on here for them. I wish I could do lower than 1 rating. They picked up out stuff on Jan 22 told us 7-14 days HAHA. After MANY MANY phone calls and emails finally got them to deliver our stuff on MARCH 12. What a joke of a company. Still have to work out the insurance claim of water damage and broken items.

  15. Relieved and Satisfied

    I am relieved and satisfied, we have moved everything with great help of United Transportation. We moved from Los Angeles to New York. The move was great and fast as promised. We were very concerned because we own lots of unique furniture. The guys were amazing; they wrapped and cardboard crates every item in our house. Upon delivery, our belongings found to be perfect, with no sign to any damages. Thank you everyone! we are very pleased. Highly recommended to anyone in moving need!
