1. Lies, it’s all lies.

   Moved in November 2018. Value vans got our contract, said they would be the ones moving us but sold the contract off to arrow. Arrow literally tripled the price we were quoted and signed contract for. Arrow showed up 3 days late, with 2 separate half filled trucks. Lost some of our boxes, and didn’t give us the form to fill out so we could report it. Broke my dining table and bed, and said we had over 25000lbs of stuff when the estimate was 8000 ( we recently moved again and the company we hired said we had just over 9000 lbs of stuff, and in the interim 3 years we had another child and purchased furniture for the new babies room accounting for the extra weight. So no idea how they TRIPLED the weight).
   
   Repeatedly called value vans for help, never got a call back. Worst moving experience ever.

2. The Worst Moving Company, Value Van Lines.

   I chose Value Van Lines for a move from Tn to WA state. Big mistake. I should have read these reviews. They belong in jail for conning so many people out of their deposits. Us included. We lost $1,264.00 in our deposit. They quoted us $4,150.00 for our move. Then at the last minute they upped the price to $10,000.00! Of curse we cancelled. We had been told that we could get our deposit back but that was a lie. They scammed us. We wrote letters to them requesting our deposit. We called them. They were either nasty on the phone or didn't answer. Anyone who sues them. Give them hell! They deserve it. They shouldn't be in business. Why do people have to cheat others? A good, honest business could make plenty of money. They could have good reviews and word-of-mouth references. Instead, we have to warn people to stay away from this company, far away. We made the move ourselves and didn't use another moving company. It wasn't easy. We decided to never move again. What a hell of an experience. Don't move with Value Van Lines. There's no "Value" to this company.

3. They are crooks and will take your deposit.

   THE WORST MOVING COMPANY AND VERY FRAUDULANT. IF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO I WOULD. THEY QUOTED ME A PRICE AND I PAID THE DEPOSIT. 2 DAYS BEFORE OUR MOVE THEY CALLED AND SAID THAT I WAS UNDER QUOTED AND NEEDED TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $500 OR CANCEL MY MOVE AND GET A REFUND. THEIR CONTRACT SPECIFICALLY STATED THAT THERE WILL BE NO INCREASES TO THE RATE UNLESS WE HAD MORE FURNITURE THAN WHAT WE INVENTORIED. THEY DID NOT UPHOLD THAT AGREEMENT SO I CHOSE TO CANCEL MY MOVE. HOWEVER THEY REFUSED TO ISSUE ME A REFUND. THIS WAS BACK IN JULY AND I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY REFUND. THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A REFUND BECAUSE THE CONTRACT STATED THAT YOU CAN NOT LEAVE A NEGATVE REVIEW SO THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE MY REVIEW DOWN. I TOOK MY REVIEW DOWN AND THEY STILL DID NOT GIVE ME A REFUND OF MY $600 DEPOSIT. THEY ARE CROOKS AND DESERVE NO BUSINESS.

4. 5 star experience!

   I moved with this company from South Carolia to Utah. They picked up my items and securely packed everything. I recived my shipment 2 weeks later right in time to unpack before thanksgiving!

5. My Move.

   I can not stress enough how thorough these guys were. I got so many calls with so many companies promising me the world and it seemed too good to be true. When I got on the phone with Value Van Lines they were being real. They told me exactly what would happen and they were not promising me the world but they were thorough on the inventory, Thorough on the packing, and they did everything they said they would. They were simple and to the point and it did not seem like a sales call which was my deciding factor, I recommend this company to anyone looking for an affordable move without all the bells and whistles.

6. New Hampshire to New York.

   It wasn't the cheapest quote I received but I was comfortable with my rep (Phil) and after two long weeks I finally made the decision to go with Value mainly due to the patience Phil had with me and his honesty. I got everything in exactly a week like they said and nothing was broken thank god. Overall I'm content. Nothing they did was flashy but they were transparent.

7. Worst possible experience.

   They showed up 2 days late, lost and broke furniture. Nonstop calling until they get money. No service when things go wrong.

   must pay IN CAsH before they would even open the moving truck. Lied, over charged grossly.

8. Never use this broker.

   Don't, DO NOT use Value Van Lines for your move. They are not movers, they are brokers who sell your move to subcontractors who may, or MAY NOT be qualified. My estimated $4,200 move in July from Indiana to Florida was done by an outfit out of Georgia, and it cost $9,600, plus the movers did an estimated $1,700 worth of damage to my goods, and Value Van Lines won't cover a penny of that. Also, my understanding from the BBB site is that they now have a clause buried in their contract that you can't leave negative reviews about them on websites. I wonder why that is??
   
   Find someone else. You'll probably save money in the end and have a much better experience. You get what you pay for.

9. Terrible company.

   This company is a complete sales show, will underestimate your moving costs, and broker you out to the lowest bidder.
   Then when sub-contracted out movers come, will try to extort thousands more. I had a contract for $6800 for a full house 10,000 pound move which I paid a $1700 deposit on. Packing/loading day was extended 3 days and when they finally showed up it was 2 guys in a 26ft truck. I had to cancel and rebook new movers within a day, and they had the balls to ask me to pay the 2 guys $500 for their 3 hours of work! I had to be out of my departure home the next day and move 2000 miles away and these guys could give 2 sssss. Then when I wanted a refund they wanted to give me $250?? They are a broker, really just a middle man to take your money and make a few calls, scam shisters who can’t take credit cards (or don’t want to because of people flagging their charges) and simply don’t care about customer service only sales. Trust me don’t even waste your time, it’s not worth it, just burn your money and call someone else. I was actually granted a $500 refund, and asked to sign a NDA as part of that agreement. I have not received any refund as of today, so I will be filing a case in small claims court, demanding full refund cost plus additional costs incurred for new move based on breach of contract. I also filed formal complaints with the Office of the Attorney General and BBB and and have retained counsel. Do not give them any money ever.

10. Extra money.

    We moved at June 12, We did the contract and paid $888.23 with Sean which one work at Value Van Line moving company. But they transferred us to the Spirit Van Lines company and never tell us. The Spirit Van Lines company let us paid more 516.50 than we should pay. Also they lost our items as bicycle, big gas bottle, one big box items, and many small items. They also broke my dresser, bed frame, even my door. We called many times Spirit Van Lines company, the office people were very rude and they said just pay us back $340. Then they don't answer the phone any more, and never paid any money back to us. Then we calling back Value Van Line company, we also calling many times. Finally, Value Van Line company said The Spirit Van Lines company will pay us $340 back. Same things, they just want pay $340 back. Even $340, we never got it. Four months passed till now, we never get any money back. We also claimed the items which we lost and broke, but never get any answer too. Then, we call Value Van Line company again, no anyone answer the phone anymore, we left messages a few times, never have anyone answer us back too. Look like we will never can get our extra charged money back again. I give them two stars, because they transferred us to other company and never tell us, Let us suffer such a terrible thing, and experienced so long still can't get extra charged money, damage and lost items back.

11. Horrible DO NOT USE.

    I wouldn’t give this company 1 star but you have to. This company is nothing but a complete LIE. I was quoted a price and a $500 deposit came out of my account well I get a call from the movers the price was possibly going to be at least another grand. I said NO that’s not what you told me. Well they say we don’t know what the exact cost will be but no body wants your bid. Not my problem it’s theirs. Well I have proof to get my $500.00 back I’ve waited since July to get it. They don’t answer your calls don’t return them. I was told by a Mike yes you are on the refund list I will make sure your check gets out and email u a copy. RIGHT..

They will give you a low quote to get your deposit, then when the company they contract out shows up, they say the contract you sign with Value Van Lines is no longer in effect. All of these reviews sound incredibly fake, if you use this company BEWARE.

    I spoke with Adrian Roth from this company. She was very helpful in getting a truck out to me within the dates I asked for. I Moved to South Carolina, my items got there within two weeks. They assembled all my furniture and im very happy with the service I recieved.
