Long-distance move from Upstate NY to Surrey, England
I was dreading moving my son's furniture and belongs overseas to the UK. Fortunately, Alex at Viking International was skillful, patient and reassuring. He led us through the process with a deft hand. And the movers were wonderful, both in the US and the UK. I still can't believe the move took place with such ease. But I'm well aware that it was as smooth as it was because of all the professional help we received from Alex, and the entire team. (We needed a lot of help, and we got it, and I'm very grateful).
International Move: New York, NY to Sydney, Australia
I had my personal items in a storage unit in NYC. Due to COVID, I was unable to be physically there to move my items, but John and Joe at Viking International were fantastic ensuring that my items were safely and well-packaged, making it to Sydney Australia with no issues.
Absolutely the best. Really.
I got way too stressed in selecting from 10 moving companies. Viking, a family business, and the good services of Amirah, made the choice easy. Everything was smooth and easy and the boxes got to France in time and in perfect conditions. I'd hire them anytime again. Definitely 10 our of 10. Or 12 out of 10!
20' Container Shipped to France from NYC
Our experience with Viking was wonderful. Everything went like it was supposed to for our pick-up, the cost was exactly what was quoted, and all of our possessions arrived intact. Nothing, not one single item, was damaged or broken. John at Viking was great and the packing crew was professional and thoughtful. I had packed some family artwork, but they re-packed it all with special materials to prevent possible moisture damage while at sea in the container. It's a good thing they did, as everything sat in our sometimes-damp, older home in France for almost a year due to COVID travel restrictions. Now that we have opened everything, it's clear how the extra care Viking took really paid off, especially under the unexpected circumstances caused by the pandemic. We will certainly be using Viking again for our next shipment!
Move from NJ TO England
We are so glad that we chose Viking international moving for our international move. They were incredibly professional from start to finish, and were always avaialbe to answer any questions. There were no hidden charges or fees, and the move went off without a hitch. Movers that packed us in Paramus NJ were very kind and gentle with our belongings. We received our belongings in England on time without any issues. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a stress-free move.
Best moving company around!
My mom and dad went home to my mom's native Spain when my dad retired. As soon as they told me about the move, I started looking for a moving company: you see, my mom has a little clothing business, and didn't want to leave it behind. After asking around, I was referred to Viking International Moving. I asked them some quick questions, and the guy on the phone (John) explained everything, and was super nice about it. He was confident, professional, and helpful. We went with them, everything went perfectly fine, and my mom received all her items undamaged. This place really knows how to treat their customers. I'm just sorry that I don't have more work for them
Move from NY to Berlin
Outstanding team of professionals here at Viking. I used them recently for a move from NY to Berlin. John and Joe were my main contacts and were great to work with. They gave me a very reasonable estimate and worked me through the entire process. I was very worried about some very valuable items but I was assured that everything will arrive in perfect condition and on time. They sent a team of very nice movers a few days later who packed all of our belongs nice and safely. We received all of our items in Berlin as expected and everything was without a scratch! Movers in Berlin were also a very nice team. I would recommend using Viking to anyone! No regrets!
Reliable Service
After deciding to sell our NJ home last year (2020), we used Viking to move the last items we left behind in our basement to our home in Germany. They were able to coordinate over email and the phone with us (as we couldn't easily travel back to the US). And then promptly collected our items, safely packed and prepared them for their overseas journey. Given the mess that global shipping is currently in due to the pandemic we were pleased with the reasonable price and time frame Viking provided. It did take several months for the items to arrive but everything made it here nicely packed and the movers were able to wheel it directly into our storage unit without any issue. Joe and John were a pleasure to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. If you do have significant time constraints and concerns you may want to get several options - but Viking provided excellent service at a reasonable price given our time frame and needs.

I used Viking last October for my move back home to Tokyo from NYC. When reaching out to different companies in the area, Viking stood out due to their professionalism and knowledge of all the proper protocols for my move. Once I accepted their estimate, John from Viking scheduled my move. Packers/movers that came to my apartment in NYC were an amazing team. Very professional and handled everything with proper care. Once I reached Tokyo my belongings were still on track to be delivered within the time frame promised from John. I received everything in perfect condition and had a great team in Tokyo that did an amazing job delivering to my home. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a stress free international move.
Great initial service, then extremely disappointed. Beware!
We moved from New York City to Hong Kong. Our shipment was collected back on Nov 25, 2020. It's now nearly the end of February 2021 and it's STILL not arrived in HK. Initially John was very helpful with our first enquiry and the process for collecting our furniture but once the shipment has left the U.S. Viking is not interested in following up. The local agent here in HK has no idea on when our shipment will arrive. So far it has been delayed four times. Be extremely careful when using Viking to fully understand the collection date, versus when it will be loaded on a ship. Also be sure to ask the route and whether it's a direct shipment or via another port (further unloading/re-loading which adds delays). Ships are like aircraft, operators don't send them half full as it's not profitable, so they have to wait to fully load a ship before it's released for its voyage. Overall we are quite disappointed with Viking International Movers and would not recommend them to a colleague or friend.
Very helpful while stranded in France
Due to COVID-19 I was stuck in France with all of my belongings still in NYC. I searched multiple moving companies and Viking by far was the best option. They were very helpfully and took care of everything via FaceTime. Movers were scheduled to pack my NYC apartment and everything arrived in Paris on time. Not a single scratch on anything. Movers that Viking arranges for me in Paris were very friendly and handled my things with extreme caution. I highly recommended this moving company to anyone!
Fantastic move to the UK.
I came across Viking on my search for a moving company for a move back to school in the UK. I sent an inquire on their website and received a response very quickly from John. He was very informative about everything I needed to know and explained all cost in full detail. Once I decided to move forward we scheduled for the movers to pack my belongings in Brooklyn. The movers were great! Very kind and careful while packing my things. When received in the UK I was very surprised that everything was on time. The movers I'm the UK were also great to work with. I highly recommend using Viking for your next move. They are my go to from now on!
Good value, prompt shipping and communication.
I used Viking after two separate friends recommended their services. John was incredibly courteous and professional over the phone and walked me through the process and exactly what I would need to pay, and responded quickly to follow-up questions sent via email. The team that came to our house to do the move were very flexible with our schedule and equally courteous and professional. (We had about 30 boxes to move, including 11 of books, and they had it all cleared out in about 15 minutes!) Handover between Viking and the European carrier was seamless and everything arrived in great condition (including breakables). Would highly recommend!
London Move.
My daughter was moving from Manhattan to London for school and we needed to find someone quickly. A friend mentioned Viking International - they seemed legit and had a good review. She didn't have a lot of stuff, maybe 20 boxes or so. Bottom line Viking was easy to deal with - they arranged everything quickly and her things arrived on time - nothing was broken. I'd highly recommend them for sticking to the schedule and being courteous throughout.

Professionals in a business full of amateurs! I don't mean to be blunt but I came across so many companies that were advertising international shipping that haven't done no more than 3 international moves in a year. I realize it's a rarity that people don't usually ask for but if I'm going to use a service and pay thousands I want to pay for experience!! And that is precisely what Viking demonstrated during my move to Paris. They handled every detail of the move. They kept their promises on price and the ETA. They made a move that felt very tricky much more manageable. Kudos to the whole staff here, especially the movers. You all did an awesome job. Zero damage, Zero headaches.
