  1. POOR DELIVERY, BAD COMPANY (good salesmen though!).

I went to other websites and this company had a lot worse reviews, so I am really surprised by what this website shows 4 stars. My story is no different than what I read already from these other sites (again, investigate if you don't believe me). To sum up:
    1. great nice sales peoples
    2. horrible delivery!
    Detail:
    1. At the pick-up, the company was later by 2 hours, that's okay compared to the rest.
    2. Viking made me fill a form to calculate the weight and pricing which I had estimated at 3,000lbs, but their calculator put me over 5,000lbs (impossible, I had a one bedroom and not that many items). I received a quote for 5,000lbs, but insisted to receive by email a quote for 3,000lbs (~$700 difference). Of course when the movers came in, they said they couldn't do things by weight but by the quote I had submitted online. When I called the sales guy, he said he couldn't do anything for me, so I was left to cancel and be screwed, or proceed forward.. I had to.
    3. My items were delivered 3 weeks late. This is because they stack your items in a warehouse until they can bundle this with others on the same long distance trip. Note that Viking will reimburse you only for BUSINESS days late (it is in fact in the contract, but not what the sales person will tell you).
    4. Viking used local subcontractors to cram a delivery at the end of a day by two guys who damaged my bed mattress.
    5. And to top it: here I am 12 weeks after I submitted a claim with all justifications and after acknowledgement by Viking, and guess what: no payment yet.. This is the email I received today (note that they are 6 weeks late on the payment): “Hi Mr. xxx, I do not have a date. I am waiting for the next group of checks to be sent to me for mailing. As soon as I receive them I will give you a call or email. Thank you for your patience in this matter.”
Again, do your investigation like I should have done, but do yourself a favor: don't go with Vikings!! I'll be happy to give more detail to anyone who contacts me.
