  1. Do not use this company.

They were five hours late making a one day move into a two day move. When they did not show up I called and was lied to three times when they said they were an hour away. They Damaged several pieces of furniture ,front door and my wood floors. The move Supervisor was rude, uncaring and combative. Worst movers I have ever used, they are beyond incompetent actually borders on criminal. Do Not use these folks.

  2. Horrible Experience.

They didn’t give me a window of when they would arrive. I was told I’d be contacted in the morning of the day of the move. That should have been my first warning sign. I had to call to find out. They never showed. I had to call to find out why. Rescheduled and once again they didn’t show up or call. I had to call. Do NOT USE!

  3. Worse than the worse moving company.

Every negative rating is unequivocally true. Not on time, unprofessional, thieves, damaged several pieces and said just use gorilla glue. Over excessive breaks between each item extending the hourly rate. Solicited items being moved. Did not organize items in storage just shoved stuff wherever. Drug pillow top mattresses across concrete resulting in damage. Placed stone coffee table and end tables on top of cherry wood chest of drawer causing severe scratches. Snow cone machine stolen along with computer table. Entertainment center was not handled correctly causing shelf damage. Need I go on..

  4. Great movers.

Vip recently did 2 moves for me and I could not be happier. J T was extremely professional and helpful. He help me move my parents home and my home. He coordinate everything, packing unpacking and move with a hitch. All of the staff was very helpful. Vip made and overwhelming and stressful situation easy.
My moving crew led by George was professional and efficient. No damage to my home or furniture. The guys totally protected both homes and all of my furniture. He also pack all of my TV at no cost. Also the wardrobe box was a live saver because the last time we move my husband move our closet in his truck. I will highly recommended vip relocation to my friends.

  5. Worst Moving Company Ever.

This is the worst company ever. they called me and asked for my business and I stressed to them that I lived in Spring. They said that is fine. I originally set up the time for 12 noon but understood that things happen and accepted the time frame of 12-3p however I get a phone call stating that the mover were running late and would be there a little after 3p around 3:30 – 3:45 and that movers would call me to give me an exact time when in route. However the movers did not come until 5:00p. 5 hours past my requested time and 2 hours past the time slot that was provided for me.

The movers finished loading the truck about 7:15 moving at average speed no complaints there. However in between driving from my house to the public storage 1 mile exactly a 3 minute drive it took them 20 minutes to arrive due to a break they took which was communicated to us before hand.

Upon moving the furniture the older gentleman proceeded to move my dresser (which is a 2 man job) by himself and dropped the dresser. Upon walking out of the storage it was seen that the man that dropped the dresser was yelling at another mover ( younger gentle man) because he was just standing watching him try to pick the dresser up and not assist him. The younger gentleman got upset and stopped working and went to go sit in the truck this was about 8:30 – 8:40p and the other 2 gentleman finished moving the items into storage. We paid $546 for this horrible service and am completely dissatisfied.

I wish I can say that I am happy with the move but I am not.

    - There was a 20 minute break
    - My $650 dresser is broken
    - 1 mover stopped working 30 minutes before it was finished.

Then I called them to be insulted and said, well did you not read the contract. They told me that their insurance only cover $0.60 per pound. So they are going give me $90 for a $650 dresser. Then their insurance is maxed at how much the move actually cost. This is a crappy company and I will take them to arbitration.

  6. Please Don't Use Them!

I wish I could say ONE positive thing about this company, but I can not. They were 6 hours late without any communication. Told me they didn't care that they were late. Movers were so slow, and didn't understand how to pack/disassemble/reassemble anything. The wardrobe boxes were wet and falling apart. My husband, parents, and I had to do it most of everything ourselves because they couldn't figure it out. I have never been one to focus on the negative. But that is ALL this company is. Please. Don't use them. Everything they "promised" in my quote was lies. "Larry" was the rudest person I have ever spoken to.

  7. Do not hire this company.

Crew did not have tools to disassemble and reassemble furniture. Crew destroyed my office desk and bookcase. Crew took several smoke breaks even though they were being paid by the hour. Crew left behind over 30 boxes and one TV which forced me to hire a U-Haul truck and get my family involved to complete the move. Manager, Jeff Nolen, stated he would talk with the owner of this company and see what they could do. This was over a month ago and still no call back. Crew did not notify what time they would arrive and finally called about 9am to say they would be there in two hours. Unprofessional and disrespectful. I feel they took advantage of my age (69) and my health to do what they wanted.

  8. Worst, most Careless and dishonorable movers ever!

We contracted this mover to move from Dallas, TX to Houston, TX, and the entire experience was a nightmare. The movers ruined our wood floors (no pads or blankets were used). Walls were gouged, paint was scratched, and stair treads were pulled up and broken from misuse of their moving equipment. Some our our furniture went into an apartment, but most went into a 10'x20' storage unit. The items in the storage unit were literally thrown in. Antique furniture was scratched and broken, appliances were scratched and dented. The unpacking into the storage unit was so bad, the company sent movers back to repack everything, but the damage was done. We filed claims which were neglected for over a year. They failed to return our correspondence, so we took them to court. After eighteen months, they finally settled out of court with us. They violated the settlement contract and refuse to pay for damages. Looks like its back to court again. Dishonorable, and disreputable, I wish I had done more research before I used this group of nonprofessionals.

  9. Professional and Affordable.

We chose this company out of about 4 or 5 that called us and we got quotes from. Clara was extremely thorough in explaining everything to my wife and I, and although they weren't the cheapest, they were far from the most expensive, and we decided we were the most comfortable with everything Clara had to say. The 4 movers that showed up were polite, worked extremely hard all day long and got done in what we thought would take 2 days in one long day. We got out of the move without any damaged furniture and came in slightly under budget. The manager called the following day and followed up to make sure we were satisfied which I thought was extremely professional. We will definitely use this group again.

  10. Damaged goods and poor communication.

After much consternation..from reading their many negative reviews, I decided to use this company as the rep, Jeff, assured he would take personal responsibility for insuring the move went smoothly. The move never went smoothly and was in fact the worst pack out and move I have ever experienced.
I was pressured to to try and pack and load in one day due to truck availability. We refused that and did the pack and load in two days..mostly with one packer. The two contract packers were inefficient and clearly were paid by the amount of packing materials used as we had items as small as a golf ball rolled in an 30 pieces of paper.

On the last day, we waited from 5:30 pm to 1100 pm for another truck to come as the packers forgot they had to load the refrigerator and other items.
The delivery at our new home was delayed but 3 hours and wasn’t finished until midnight as the crew was understaffed.
We had lost items, damaged items and nothing was replaced or even acknowledged by the company. We had yeti cooler missing, a king size dust ruffled used as a packing blanket ..runined, and damage to antique armoire, and another bedroom armoire damaged.
I would not recommend this company to anyone for any type of move..local or long distance.

  11. Awesome crew.

Jose and his crew was the best movers I ever have. My family have a few moves under our belt and by far those guys exceeded our expectation in every way. They were on time extremely professional and experience. No damages to my furniture and both homes. Everything was protected. I hope we will not moving again soon but if we do we would only trust our move to vip. Awesome people to work with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

  12. Stop!!

I am truly disgusted with this company!!

First the movers could not find the address (and I thought this would be one of the basic requirements for the job!) and then the driver shouted at me down the phone when I was trying to give him directions. When they finally did get started (between 5 and 6 hours late) 2 of the movers insisted on taking turns having smoke breaks while sitting on one of my chairs in the driveway, and I was being billed by the hour for this service. They managed to crash furniture into a brand new $2,000 double door set that open 6’ wide so hopefully you don’t have a standard 2’8” wide door for them to go through. They broke our morning area table to the point that it has being sitting in the garage now for 3 weeks awaiting a repair guy that is apparently going to show up at some point. My other dining table has the surface ruined with multiple scratches as nothing was done to protect it during moving and storage. They took the door off my freezer and could not put in back on, even when they left the house the door on the freezer would not close and it took me over an hour to try and fix it (after all I am not a Professional at this!). They were unable to connect the fridge line to the water supply without it leaking (another thing I had to fix after they left). From long before these guys finished I was calling their office asking to speak to the person in charge, I am still calling (& writing) and no one has replied to me once! To state that this company is a disaster is a gross understatement. I understand that things can go wrong with a move and items can get damaged but I don’t like having to accept poor performance and then have that followed by a complete lack of empathy, understanding or total disregard of any form of customer service. NOT EVEN A RESPONSE TO DATE!
    Bottom line, I am disgusted!

  13. Worst Move Ever!

DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY! If you are reading this review, STOP NOW and find another moving company!

  14. Won't fix my front door they damaged.

Not only were their movers slow, they damaged my brand new front door. Now I have tried following up several times and no one will fix it. Do not use this moving company!

  15. Beware the snake in disguise.

Let me start by saying that I tend to lean towards the lowest bidder when it comes to labor charges, and I then hope that I'll get what I paid for.

Well, I paid for it alright.

I used a third party site to solicit multiple companies and Jeff quoted me the best hourly rate for 3 men to move my 3 bedroom house (to wit I was only using 1.5 bedrooms) into an upstairs 2 bedroom apartment. During the quote, I felt inclined to inform them that I am a police officer and had a gun safe that required moving as some companies either won't move them, or charge an extra fee.

"That will be included in the quote" was the response. Somehow, I think Jeff was too busy listening to himself speak than he was listening to my specific needs.

Day of move, arrival time quoted between 8AM and 10AM. It's Noon when the truck arrives. The move from a previous apartment into the house took 3 Men Movers (which I should have used again), less than 3 hours total (30 miles).

The VIP guys started strong, but at the 45 minute mark, I was asked if I needed them to re-assemble my furniture at my apartment and I told them I did not. I also kept telling them not to load loose items that I did not specifically point out to transport, but for some reason, they kept grabbing stuff that I didn't plan on moving with. All these back and forth trips with small useless items cost time. They finally had the truck loaded in 2 and a half. It felt like they were milking time because I didn't need or want reassembly. Items looked like they were just thrown in the truck randomly and instead of being tied against the walls of the truck, were leaned against each other.

The truck they were in was the crappiest truck I've seen on the highway. They either refused to get the truck above 40 mph (on a 65 mph roadway), or the truck was/is unable to perform above that speed. Then comes a 15 minute break at a gas station along the way for something to drink/eat (which they charged me for).

At the apartment, they refused to place items where I asked them to in the first place. Master Bedroom boxes ended up in the dining room, Kitchen boxes landed in the master bedroom, etc. I ended up staging a lot of my furniture because I knew I needed space for boxes to land until I could get things put away. Larry (the lead guy) insisted that he put my furniture back together despite me telling him multiple times that I would take care of that.

Ok, so he decides that while I still have items in the truck, instead of unloading, he's going to fold blankets. Why am I having to pay for someone to reset THEIR equipment? Again, just milking the clock.

Lastly, my gun safe. They were able to load it on the truck without complication, but then came the stairs to the apartment. Other reviewers have stated that these guys don't come with appliance dollys. Well, they're right. So, the safe couldn't be safely moved upstairs. Only one option. VIP had to take it back to their warehouse and consent to re-deliver it at a later date (on my schedule).

4 days later, I'm told that I have to pay for another hour for the safe to be delivered (which I refused to do, threatening a criminal complaint with the Harris County DA's office). Jeff backed down, stating that "he would pay for the extra hour".

I was told that they would be there at 8 PM to deliver my safe, but they didn't show up till 10 PM. The lead mover that came out this time asked for payment before my safe was delivered, stating that he had no guarantee that he would get paid. Really, VIP? You think a sworn police officer would risk his career for a Theft of Service charge? I don't mind paying for legitimate services, but when VIP appears to be more skilled at riding the clock more than actually moving, I want a fair price for the services I have been rendered.

Folks, save yourself some time and hassle. Pick another company.
