  1. Truck Loaded Improperly Causing Damage to Household Items.

We made the terrible mistake of hiring Warren's Homework to load a trailer only, for a cross-country move scheduled for June 7, 2018. We rented a trailer from Old Dominion Household Services (OD) to transport our household items from North Las Vegas, NV across the country. OD requires that customers load and unload the trailer and OD will drive the trailer cross-country. When we scheduled the move with Warren's Homework, we specified that we only needed to have the truck loaded and that the truck was being driven by OD. We were assured that this would not be a problem and that Warren's Homework provided this type of service (loading only). On June 7, two movers from Warren's Homework arrived at our home and spent roughly eight hours loading our household items onto the trailer provided by OD and we were charged $913, which included the use of several of their moving pads at $11/pad. On June 15, the trailer was transported to our home in Douglasville, GA. We were shocked when the trailer was opened and we found that the majority of our furniture was either damaged or destroyed due to the trailer not being properly loaded by the movers from Warren's Homework. We have taken about thirty pictures of broken lamps, smashed lamp shades, gauged couches, that included a broken arm on the couch, a gouged washer and dryer, white dining room chairs that are filthy and gouged from being loaded with the furniture being laid on the ground of the filthy truck, damaged pictures, a gouged entertainment center, gouges and cuts to chairs and a sectional, even our mattresses and box springs were damaged. The pictures taken show that the furniture was not packed properly causing the trailers contents to move and become damaged or destroyed during transport. Furniture was stacked on top of furniture including stacking furniture on the seating area of our couch and sectional and on the arm of one of our couches. When the load moved during transport our furniture was gouged or damaged. We are still unpacking because we are still transitioning from Las Vegas to GA, so we have not unpacked all of our boxes yet. On Monday June 18, 2018, we contacted Warren's Homework and requested to speak to a supervisor because we needed to file a claim due to damage to our household items during the move. The phone was answered by a Kristina P., who refused to provide her last name, only the initial of her last name. I stated that I would like to file a claim because of damage to the household items. Kristina P., never apologized for the damage to our items, instead the first thing that she did was to deny that Warren's Homework was at fault and to blame OD's drivers and the company that unloaded the truck. She stated that all claims are handled internally before being referred outside of the company. She also stated that we would be contacted by Daniel Ardoin, claims manager, and he would decide what further action to take. She refused to provide a claim number or the number to the insurance company or Mr. Ardoin's contact info, but insisted that after Mr. Ardoin contacted the employees who loaded the truck, he would be in touch with us. On June 18, 2018 and June 19, 2018, I called and spoke to Kristina P., and advised her that we still have not heard from Mr. Ardoin. She insisted that after he contacted the loaders of the truck and did an investigation, he would be in contact with us. As of today's date, June 21, 2018 no one has contacted us regarding filing a claim, or to get the details regarding the damage to our furniture. We have not been given a claim number, or any further information regarding how to pursue with filing a claim. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We plan to take legal action for our damaged household items, most of which have been purchased within the last two years and we have the receipts. Also, whenever I spoke with Kristina P., she was always very rude, short, and nasty. She claimed that she was a supervisor, but she never knew the answers to anything. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR YOUR WILL REGRET IT!!Pictures to follow.
