  1. Weston Moving

Hired WESTON to move 2 bedroom apartment from Fort Lauderdale to Pompano Beach. When my stuff arrived, my desk was completely cracked and my 65" LG TV was cracked.

Brian the owner has not reimbursed me for the damages. In fact, he does not pick up his phone call.

Please read all the reviews on YElp. If you want your stuff to arrive broken, then use Weston.

NEVER, NEVER should anyone use this company to move.

I had a very bad experience with BRian the Owner. I would not use this company every again

  2. Lost items and wont respond to complaint.

Hired Weston Moving and Storage to do our move within the city of Weston, FL. The service was provided on time and initially seemed professional. The main issue was that as they used a a smaller truck not big enough for our property, they had to load and unload some items/furniture to their warehouse before delivering them to our new house, so in the end, they had to make 8 trips in two days. After unpacking, we found that a few items were lost, not with a huge financial value but some were irreplaceable. After sending messages to Francisco and Brian (I assume this last one is the Manager) asking them to search for the lost items in their warehouse as it was highly probable that's where they were, their response has been very unprofessional. They wouldn't answer my repeated emails, calls and texts and only after pressuring, all they had to say is that maybe the items were in my house (Please..). I even offered to go to their warehouse to help them search the articles but was not allowed. In the end, it is clear why their services are cheap. If you have valuable items, do not use this company !!

  3. Weston storage and moving.

The worst. Lost half my furniture. Tried to deliver other people’s furniture. Paid the delivery people a couple of bucks under the table to deliver some pieces that I needed. They delivered a whole wardrobe of someone’s else’s clothes and left them when I called to tell them, they never came to pick them up. Don’t use them.

  4. Deceiving pricing strategy.

Same problem experienced by other reviewers. They deceived by providing with a competitive quoted price to win the business and then charge a substantially increased price on moving day. This is my story: I needed a two-stops moving service. The sales agent (Francisco) came to my two-bedroom townhome in Sunrise FL to check the volume to be moved. During the visit, I explained that some things were to be moved within Weston, FL (less than 4 miles away) and the remaining would go to Palmetto Bay, FL (approx. 40 miles away). After the sales agent visit, I received a quote over the email by a “Brian”. The quote was SLOPPY in many ways and BEWARE: THAT WAS WHAT BRIAN USED TO JUSTIFY THE END CHARGES. I mean, it did not clearly reflect the information conveyed during the sales agent’s visit. So, before hiring this Company, I called the sales agent to clarify all the points that concerned me. [1] the estimated moving time was UNDERESTIMATED (5.5 hours), based on my previous moving experiences (no less than 8 hours). [2] There was mentioning of an extra stop, but the location details were not included. [3] Moving charges were for a “van” instead of a “truck”. The sales agent CLEARLY ASSURED ME THAT I SHOULD NOT WORRY ABOUT THE ESTIMATED MOVING TIME IN THE QUOTE, AND THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES THE MOVING COSTS ON DELIVERY DAY WOULD EXCEED THE QUOTED PRICE. That was the reason why I hired them and discontinue looking for another company to provide the service. On moving day, I had everything labelled with the location name to help the movers organize the stuff in the truck. The movers arrived 1 hour late from the time of arrival scheduled with the sales agent. They took 9.5 hours to complete the job (I did not pressure them because the “PRICE WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO EXCEED THE QUOTE”) and at the end of the day charged me by the hour. I ended up paying $1,320 on a job that was quoted at $830 (an unexpected 60% increase in costs). The quoted price included a 10% discount that was not rolled over into the final charges. The charges per hour of this Company ($135) are substantially higher than those of the competition. I had never paid more than $1,000 to move the same stuff they moved that day and I had moved approx. seven times in the past 10 years. After that, the sales agent took my call only twice to then be lost. I communicated with Brian over the email but in his last email he says and I'm quoting: " IT IS MERELY IMPOSSIBLE TO DO THE ENTIRE MOVE, INCLUDING DRIVING TO HOMESTEAD, IN 5.5 HOURS". Brian, once again Palmetto Bay is not Homestead, and YOU included in your quote an extra hour of travel plus fuel charges, which is reasonable for the distance between Weston and Palmetto Bay. My question to you: if it is merely impossible, why did you underestimated the time in your quote? I still don't understand how did I end up paying $1,300.

  5. Do Not Use This Company1.

I am giving this company 1 star because no stars is not an option. I waited 1 week before writing this review to allow this company time to rectify the damage they caused to my furniture. The 3 movers (Felix, Carlson, and Brent) showed up on time with Truck 5, but things went south after that. First, we were told that they are not responsible for any broken glass which was not communicated to us when the owner came to do the initial quote. The movers were careless and did not take good care of our furniture or boxes. They threw boxes that were clearly labeled "FRAGILE/GLASS" and moved the wood furniture on a hand truck with no padding. As they slid the wood furniture off the hand truck, I could hear the wood rubbing against the metal. To no avail, they caused major damaged to the bedroom dresser and dinning room buffet table. When I pointed out what they had done, there was no remorse. After careful review of the rest of my furniture, every piece of furniture they touched had some sort of damage. They did call us mid week, not to discuss the damage they caused, but to ask us if we had their drill!! When we told them we did not have their drill, we mentioned to Afeez that they did not follow up on the damaged furniture. Afeez told us he would inform his boss about the damage. WE HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM AFEEZ OR HIS BOSS!!

PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! THEY ARE CARELESS AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR COSTUMERS!!

  6. Weston Moving.

Weston Moving does not represent professionalism, honesty, integrity, or care. Weston Moving represents the exact opposite of what was said above. The owner, Brian McGrary, is very tactful when it comes to deceiving a customer. You will end up paying more than promised or offered, and you will end up not paying for insurance since you will be persuaded to pay for insurance.
We have been in a very stressful situation for about two years, adding this to it is not a good combination. First off, let me state that the day of the move did not start off well. They came three hours later than they were supposed to, and they carelessly threw our belongings, included china, and expensive furniture into the truck. They used their filthy cloth wraps to wrap up our $3,000.000 TV and furniture, which ended up being broken. They always persuaded us that they could keep going and get it done in the same day, which was not a good idea. I would have rather waited than having them break EVERY piece of furniture and equipment we own. I understand that when you move, things can get damaged, and if they do get damaged, they are fixable. However, that is not the same case with these people. They messed up our belongings beyond fixable. Out of the few people helping us, there was only one good person that I feel happy about giving a tip to.
After more cursing and careless actions, we decided to tell them to leave and come back in the morning. Due to them coming late, and messing up our belongings, we had to sleep in a hotel that night. In the morning, the same repeated. They came hours later than they were supposed to, and began finishing the packaging and loading. After them slacking and carelessly packaging our furniture once again, they threw it on their filthy truck, speaking literally.
Once they arrived at our new house, late, they started to unpack things. They broke our china, our desks, our beds, our tables, our couches, our chairs, our TVs, they broke two out of the three TVs we owned, they broke our stereo systems, and much more to list. The way the damaged our belongings are beyond reparable at this point. Not only did they damage our belongings, but they damaged our brand new house. They marked up and put holes in our walls, they dented/chipped the walls, granite, marble, quartz, and our cabinets. After they brought our belongings into our house, we saw how damaged they were. Everywhere we looked things were damaged.
I like to support small companies, but maybe there is a reason this company, which does not deserve the name company, is small. They have lied and deceived us, tricked us, disrespected us, and have hurt us emotionally.
DO NOT use "Weston Moving" as a moving company to move your belongings.
After researching, I found out that my fellow neighbors have also had the same issues. Not only that, but a whole ton of others have had the same issues as us. The other reviews here on Yelp, at this point of time, are absolutely accurate. If there was a "zero" star rating, I would do a negative one.
Also, I found out that this place goes by other names, such as "Broward Relocation Services", "Weston Moving", "Weston Moving and Storage", and other names as well.
This message is directed to the owner; Do not bother replying, you have no sympathy for us, and we have no sympathy for you. Do not use your deceitful tactics to mess with us.

  7. Very Poor Services.

I hired Weston Moving (Secure Moving) to move me from MIA to Orlando on 6/12/15. They quoted me $1450 for my 600 sq feet apartment, 4x4 storage unit and 10x10 storage unit. They agreed to complete the move on 6/12. They had agreed to be at my apartment at 9 am to start the move. On 6/11 at night I got a text from Chad, the dispatcher, that they were kicked out of a neighborhood and couldn't complete the move they were working on so my truck was not going to be available early morning so they were going to be a little late on. I immediately replied asking the estimated time. He never answered. Next morning after calling him at 8 am he text-ed me that they would be there between 11-2. I explained that as they already knew I needed to be out of the apartment by 4pm due to condo rules. He responded saying that it wouldn't be a problem. The movers showed up a 2:25 pm. The two guys that came mishandled my belongings literally throwing things on the truck, They refused to moved two wardrobes because "they were to going to break their backs". I had asked Chris, the salesperson who had originally contacted me, if I needed to take those wardrobes apart and he said not to because if it was necessary they movers would take care of that. They refused to take them apart also. We were already late (it was already after 4 pm) and I had no choice to vacate the apartment so I took the wardrobes apart myself an unfortunately ended up breaking both units. We were not able to go to any of the storage units due to time. They kept my furniture overnight. They agreed to arrive in my apartment in Orlando by noon of the next day. They arrive after 2 pm again. The dresser was broken with no possibility of repair. A lamp, Bed frame, headboard, filling cabinet, leather sofa, and desk were either broken or severely scratched. While I was waiting for my furniture I called Chad several times but he wouldn't answer. After doing some work I found Brian's (owner) cell number and had a conversation about the situation. He told me that he was going to call Chad and have him call me. Chad called and instead instead of trying to fix the problem he wanted to make sure that I was clear on the amount they wanted to charge me. They wanted to charge me more than they had quoted me even though they did not move my 2 storage units as agreed. I did not agree to the amount and told him I was going to call Brian and to my surprise he told me that I was in the speaker and Brian was listening to may conversation. I talked to Brian and explained that I felt it was not a fair amount due to all the issues that had happened so far and I was concern about the wayI saw my furniture being handled and he said to me that he wasn't worried about my furniture and that he was not going to work for Charity. After a heated discussion we agreed on $1,125. When the movers arrive (two different guys from the day before) one of the movers put Chad on the phone to tell me that they were going to charge me more than what we had already agreed 30 minutes before because they estimated more working time. Russell (the best employee in that company) spoke to Chad and told him that they were going to be able to do it quick because it was not a lot of furniture. The clock started ticking but the other mover did not seem concerned and was not helping Russell and moving very slow and many times would stop working to talk on the phone. At one point Russell told me that he was embarrassed by the way my furniture had been handled by the other 2 guys. The invoice I signed was for the amount we had agreed for a total of $1125. My credit Card was charged $1,164.38. I had reached out to Chad before but he only called me back when I text-ed him that I was going to dispute the charge. He said that he had told me over the phone that if I used a CC there was a 3% fee. That was not true.

  8. Excellent Service.

My experience in working with Weston Moving has left me with a very positive experience. It was a really good job done by them, they showed up on time and did everything in a quick and timely manner.beforehand, were extremely professional, courteous, quick & efficient. They were very careful with my things.I will use this company for any future moves and highly recommend them to all of my friends, family, and co-workers.

  9. They were flawless and on time.

I recently had a wonderful and very pleasant experience with Weston Moving. I had a big moved planned from Weston,FL to Panama City, FL which take nearly 9 hrs to reach. The moving representative gave me a affordable quote, the movers came on time and were professional, and the driver who unloaded my things into storage was very kind and hard working.
I had several items that were of high value and could be easily broken but NOTHING was broken. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I can't express enough how pleasant the overall experience was! I highly recommend and will use them in the future.

  10. Terrible.

Do not do business with these scammers. They tried to scam me for more money at the end and I told them to pound sand. They broke a number of items and stacked stuff terribly. Place is a joke. After loading one truck at my home they said they would be right back and showed up 6 hours later with the other truck. They didn't finish until 2am. Typical shady moving company. Pay a little more and hire a reputable moving company.

  11. Claim.

We have had a claim in now for two months.  Our phone calls are not returned.  Claim not handled.  We had thousands of dollars of damages.  We should at least be given a thousand dollars for the damages.  My husband has tried to be fair in every way possible.  This makes me very uncomfortable and angry.

  12. Easy & Painless Moving.

Our shifting did not take place on the day it was planned due to some unavoidable conditions. Finding a moving co. at the last moment was a difficult task, but then our lucks favoured with this company, the Weston moving, who agreed to come to our rescue. They were kind enough to help us out and took care of moving our belongings carefully. They took the load off us.

  13. Wonderful Experience.

Shifting is indeed a very hectic job,I was really wondering what to do, but thanks to Weston Moveing and Storage my job was carried out efficient, I had many delicate items which needed to be shifted. I am glad that they took care of everything so professionally. They were eqquiped with all the necessary items required to accomplish the job. Glad that all the items arrived without a dent or a single scratch. Really greatfull to them. .

  14. Easy & Painless long distance move ever.

This was the easiest long distance move I ever made. My movers packed up the Weston Movers container and tied down the load so it didn't shift much. Another mover used a pressure wall that moved and my stuff was all over the place when we opened it. Not so with Weston Moving containers as they have tie downs all over so you can secure your load as you go and probably end up opening it looking the same as you closed it.

  15. Perfect solution for moving my possessions safely and efficiently.

After retirement, I made the decision to sell my home and move across country. Weston Moving and Storage were the perfect solution for moving my possessions safely and efficiently. After arriving at my destination, I emptied one container immediately but kept a second one at a Weston secure storage facility for over a year during renovations to my new home. Both the moving and the storage experiences were excellent. The containers were picked up and delivered on time; my belongings were treated with care; and all of the PODS personnel I encountered were courteous and very helpful. Because it took longer than I had expected to empty that second container, storage costs became expensive, but that was my responsibility.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
