  1. Fantastic!! Polite!! Professional!

Thank you Woody and sons! Your service was professional, kind, and prompt. Two days before Christmas!!!! They got the job done! Wow? Moving this piano was a beautifully easy task with Woody and Sons. Thank you!!!!!!

  2. Woody and Sons.

Asked for a quote and got a call back right away. They set me up for the following week. Bill and Charlie were on time, introduced themselves and went to work. They made sure everything was packed securely and covered with blankets to prevent damage. Wish I had used them for my previous move. I would definitely recommend them!!

  3. Great Local Move!

The absolute best. Fast, reliable. Took great care of my items. No damages. Hard workers. Will use them every time.

  4. Fast, efficient, and profesional.

Not much else to say. They were on time. They didn't mess around or waste time. The two guys I got moving my stuff were great. They moved quickly. They were careful with my stuff. They listened when I said I had something that I cared more about.

  5. My Review.

The one in the office handling the arrangements was great. I enjoyed speaking with her each time and felt confident she was taking care of everything. The crew that came was promp and went right to work. They took no breaks and worked steady and hard. Toward the end they were visibly growing weary and made a few mistakes. I felt they needed a lunch break.

  6. Rude and unprofessional.

The lady on the phone handling the customer service was so rude. I got a quote and picked my time frame 6-8 to be told I would know when then movers would arrive until the day off and anywhere between 6am to 3pm. She told me if I didn't like it I could take my business else where which I am doing. What a horrible experience and by the looks of the reviews, I'm glad I did.

  7. Repeat customer.

I have used this service each time I moved, and expected the same level of service but was disappointed. The woman who books the appointments was extremely argumentative and rude. I have referred a lot of people to this company but never again. Word of the wise their good only the first time afterwards the quality of customer service is horrible. At least that's my experience.

  8. Flawless move.

I have moved quite a bit these past few years and woody and sons is the best company around. The price is reasonable, the people are friendly and they work extremely hard. For our out of state move, we had Matt, tommy and Daryl pack and load our stuff. They were extremely kind and efficient. Our stuff had to travel from fl to pa and arrived less than 48 hours in perfect condition. Willy drove our stuff and unloaded. He took the time to treat our stuff nicely and put it all in the right place. Also, when booking a move and with all follow up questions, Sarah in the office is wonderful. She really made us feel less stressed about our move and sent us great recommendations for cleaning companies, etc. She also went out of her way to call me with updates when our stuff was on the road. Don't use any other company.

  9. Damaged items and overcharges.

Complaint: The final invoice was almost double the in-home estimate we received. Also, we were not reimbursed for damaged items caused during the move.On October 9th, a Woody & Sons representative did an in-home moving estimate. He spent 30 minutes assessing our upcoming move. He determined the move would require 2 movers, 5-7 hours, totaling $510-680. The moving company owner ** called a couple of days later and said the estimate forgot to include the $149 piano moving charge, bringing the new total to $659-829. In addition, she agreed to lower our hourly rate to $75. The move took place Oct. 30, 2013. The 2 man crew took 9.25 hours, forgot the wardrobe boxes (which were itemized in the initial estimate) and did not have enough pads and blankets for the furniture. As a result, many pieces of furniture were scratched and damaged because they loaded them unwrapped into the truck. The movers attempted to hang the clothes from a rope in the van. The rope came loose and the clothes fell into the street and onto the floor of the van. My husband and I loaded both of our cars up with boxes and lamps to speed up the process as it was getting late. The crew was exhausted and dropped a box of dishes, breaking many of them. When the 14 mile move was complete, the crew gave us an invoice for $1020.25 and noted the broken dishes on the invoice. Since it was after 10pm, we agreed to pay them and call their boss in the morning. My husband called Woody & Sons on Nov 1st and left a message regarding the damaged items and overcharge for the move. As of Nov 4, we did not get a response, so I sent an email reiterating our concerns. Nov 5, we got a response from ** that she would talk to the movers and damage control. She also requested pictures of damages. My husband sent pictures and itemized the damages and overcharge. ** refused a refund because the move was more difficult than they anticipated due to the stairs in the condo. Our point was that the stairs were there when the rep did an in-home estimate. There were actually less items that needed to be moved since we had taken several carloads to the new home after the estimate was given. She sent an email to us implying that we should have told her movers that the last movers had a difficult time navigating the stairs. We did tell them that the previous movers dented the staircase, which is why we decided to go with a different company. Many emails were exchanged trying to convince ** that the reason we had her company representative do an in-home estimate was so there would be no "surprises". She also implied that she was not responsible for the broken dishes since they did not pack them. The box fell approximately 4 feet from the top of a stack of boxes on the hand truck. The dishes would have broken if anyone packed them being dropped that hard. On Dec 17, we had still not even received reimbursement for the dishes, which she had agreed to. We contacted ** and she said she would have a check sent that day. On Jan 14, we still had not received the reimbursement check and sent a reminder email.  .

  10. Great Service.

I had to move and was not looking  forward to any of it. Sarah was excellent and made everything smooth and easy. The movers were very professional and made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend them and use them when I move again! They really are great and professional! thanks Danielle Jackson.

  11. Best Move Yet!

Being a military family we have moved a lot over the last 10 years. When looking for movers we obtained numerous quotes, one of which was with Woody & Sons Moving. We narrowed our selection down to 2 movers and then did some research. Both companies had complaints on line, again one being Woody & Sons Moving. My husband prompted me to call each company and ask for explaintion of the complaints. The second company was not very forthcoming and baiscally said things happen and you cannot make everyone happy. Woody & Sons on the other hand was very honest.. explained that in 2011 throuth 2012 the husband and wife owners split and the husband kept the company. Further explained/admitted that there were poor operations during this time and that the wife took back over in February 2012. The woman gave enough details that I could go back to all the complaints I found on line and match her story to the dates, even found the husbands name in a few. I consulted my husband and we decided to give Woody & Sons a chance. We are so happy that we did as this was our best move yet.. one mirror was broken and they had it replaced within 2 weeks as promised, we didn't even purchase the additional insurance as offered. The team was very fast and very friendly making us feel comfortable. They called before arriving, showed up on time, and introduced themselves upon arriving. I am posting this review to let all consumers out there know that not everything we read on line is as it seems..always give enough time to ask questions. Woody & Sons treated our move perfectly and we will be moving with them again in October 2013 and will reccommend them to all of our family and friends. .

  12. Whole house move.

I couldn't disagree more with the other reviews of this company!  I have moved many times before and this was by far the BEST movers I have ever used in every way!  From the first contact, the on-site quote, the follow up pre-move, day of move and follow up after the move they were 5 stars movers in every way.  I moved from a third floor walk up into a 2-story house with a large amount of very heavy furniture and breakable items.  Not one thing was scratched or broken.  Every item was carefully wrapped in moving blankets and then wrapped in plastic to hold blankets in place.  I thought this would be very time consuming causing the move to become longer and more expensive but it was quite the opposite!  I've never seen 4 men move so quickly and work so well as a team.  The move was completed so quickly and well under what I had anticipated it costing I was able to give them all a very generous tip and buy them all lunch which I was more than pleased to do!  I highly recommend them and if I have to move again I will use them without hesitation!  I can't thank them enough for making a stressful day go so smoothly.

  13. BUYER BEWARE!! Broken-Stolen-Dishonest-Unprofessional.

I used Woody and Sons in March of 2010. It has taken me this long to write something because I just wanted to shove the horrible experience under the rug and forget about it. However, I still have tremendous anger for the way I was treated and the horrible experience they (Sara mostly) put me through. After seeing all the negative review's I felt it necessary to include my experience in hopes that no one else would have to go through what I did! I was relocating to TN from FL so needless to say it was a very stressful time anyway. Sara was very nice and seemed professional while talking to her about using them. She even told me about an article that was written about the company and for me to look it up. It was actually that article that sold me as well as a decent price quote. We scheduled a time for pick up and they were several hours late. Once they got there (I lived on the second floor) they were throwing my things from the second floor to the first floor for another guy to catch. My furniture was banging into the sides of the stair railings and at one point I had to ask them to be more careful. I had a huge headboard that had to be taken apart into several pieces. They couldn't find where part of it was attached so instead of having patience and continuing to look, they just started YANKING it to come apart. I had to get forceful and ask them to step aside so I could find it. Woody's wife, SARA, showed up later and I asked her at that time to please tell them to be more careful and she stated they have been doing this a very long time and they know what they are doing. I had paid for three movers to be at my apartment in TN and when the truck showed up a full day late it was just Woody. I have extremely heavy stuff, I live alone and I am 52 years old. I was moving to the third floor which they knew from the beginning. There was not a whole lot I could help him with. He moved everything himself up three flights of stairs, set it by the door and I took everything in from there! Before signing a contract with Woody and Sons, I emailed Sara several pictures of things that I would need "special care" with. There were three MAIN articles that were very special to me and extremely fragile. TWO of the three articles were broken at delivery (one broken, one missing)!! When I called Sara not even 10 minutes after Woody left to tell her I was missing a large mirror that goes to a curio cabinet she said she would call Woody and get back to me. While waiting to get back to me I found that the glass to a $450 dollar wall picture was completely broken and removed from the frame!! When she called me back regarding the mirror that supposedly was forgotten on the truck, I told her about the picture and she basically started calling me a liar!! My only saving grace to the whole thing was the pictures I had taken prior to the contract to see if they could handle that type of stuff clearly showed glass in that picture. I could write a book on the nightmare I went through with this woman and the company. My daughter had to bring my missing mirror up from Florida after Sara told her she would deliver it to her and two days later finally got it to her. Once I got it from my daughter, low and behold, it was not the same mirror so needless to say they broke the original one and replaced it with a much thinner, cheaper mirror!! I still have several emails back and forth from Sara calling me a liar and threatening me with a lawsuit because I stopped payment on the last check until this all got straightened out. I ended up paying her the final payment because after the horendous experience from the move, I just could not continue to go through anymore with her since she was threatening to take me to court. It never really did get straightened out as far as I am concerned. I was never made whole for my loss!! ALL I CAN SAY IS BUYER BEWARE WITH THIS COMPANY!!

  14. I can only say THANK YOU!

After reading some of these reviews, I was hesitant at first to agree to have Woody & Sons do my move.  But, after talking with Sara and calling a few references, I decided to put my trust in this local business.  Can I say - from start to finish, it was a totally professional job!  The men and truck showed up exactly when promised..and they just dug in and started moving.  The crew were all very personable and actually made the move a little less painful with their cheery attitudes and the overall can-do attitude through the entire 7 hours.  Everything - and I mean everything was carefully wrapped and/or padded - and their expertise in packing the truck was amazing - I never thought that so much "STUFF" could be fit in one truck!  It's all in their professionalism though..it's not only moving things - it's knowing how to load the truck to get the maximum in..something I never thought about before.  I can only give you this advice - if you want your move to go as smoothly as a move can be - call this company.  Prices are very reasonable, and their service was top-notch!  Thanks to the great crew you sent, and thank you Sara, for your kind attitude and being so nice !

  15. Horrible experience.

I requested a quote for a move.  The mover suggested & I complied to have a site visit in order to get an exact quote, to avoid any surprises.  Robert came. He saw all that was to be moved. On move day they arrived & filled the truck  capacity.  I volunteered to rent a self-haul truck to move the remainder.  At the unload end, I was met with the requirement to pay additional for 'underestimating the time" before they would unload the truck.  AND they refused any compensation for my own self-haul rental, much less MY time & energy to load/unload it.  Later I received many emails from Mr. Elwood Jones ,727-935-4302 Office , 727-645-6493 Office, promising that he would send a check to fix this. When the check never arrived, he promised to have it personally delivered to my home.  I gave up chasing them & reported them to the Florida Department of Agriculture and consumer services, their licensing division. That organization gave them 60 days to respond, which has been ignored. THAT is the least of it.  I expressed my dissatisfaction on Craigslist & within hours I received phone calls and texts, replying to a sleazy personal ad that I never posted.  That was followed by numerous contacts from 'mover quote service' stating they were replying to my inquiry, which I had never made.  I am sure it is this disgruntle mover who initiated these actions.  This is an unscrupulous company who adds to the reputation that movers have, that of slick, cheating used car sales people & the likes.
