  1. Customer service, free storage!

    Had a great experience, moved 3br home CA/FL for under $5,000. Storage 60 days at almost no cost at all. Cannot beat it with the way they set my home up after. Would definately use again. Customer service was great also.

    These movers are great. They came back to me with a reasonable quote for a small move from Chicago to NYC. They were very communicative about dates and times. There were no hidden fees or charges, and we were charged what was originally quoted. My daughter said that the foreman and movers were very nice and that they took good care of her belongings. We would use this company again.

  3. Great experience!

    It was our first time using professional moving service. I was a little nervous in the beginning but the sales representative was very nice to explain the entire process to me and assure me that everything will be fine..and he was right. Price was attractive and all the fees were communicated upfront. The movers showed-up on time. They were very organized and wrapped everything carefully before placing it in the truck. They even helped us disassemble our bed! There were no damages and missing stuff. The guys were very efficient and friendly. It was a wonderful experience. If we have to move again without any doubt I will call Xpress Movers. They are great and I will recommend them to everybody.

  4. Worst moving company in the us.

    I've relocated four times in the last eight years for business and this by far is the worst experience ever. I don't often write reviews about my experience with a company, but I felt it necessary to share my nightmare experience with Xpress Movers. I contacted Xpress movers and booked the date of my move with a guy by the name of Vesko. He provided me with an estimate based on the weight of my items and also advised me to box some of my items like books and clothing to save a few bucks. Finally, he stated that my items would be delivered within a week of my move and no later than the following Friday.

    The movers arrived to pick up my furniture and other personal items on Friday 6/14. The lead guy immediately sought ways to increase my packing fees and the overall weight. He stated that the boxes I packed on my own would have to be repacked by him if I wanted to include them in the insurance and that would be an additional charge. I spoke with the Vesko guy who confirm this wasn't the case. They packed everything, loaded my items on the Xpress moving truck and departed New Jersey at 7:00pm 6/14. The following week, I didn't receive any updates from Vesko, so I called daily and sent emails. The answer I received is the dispatcher was working on it. Finally on Thursday 6/20, Vesko sent me an email stating that the truck scheduled to deliver my items was too small and therefore I would have to wait until the dispatcher was able to work on another option perhaps before or after July 4th. Well, needless to say, they didn't deliver my items the week of July 4th, in fact, they completely stopped communicating with me. I tried calling their 800#, Vesko's directly line, his mobile number and all the numbers available on their website, but was unable to speak with anyone.

    So now, it's been three weeks since I moved with most of my life sitting on a truck or in a warehouse in Boston. Yep Crazy. And yep, no one called to apologize, provide a new ETA.. nothing. By far the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever experienced. So now I'm thinking I need to get my Attorney involved and might even need to travel to Boston to retrieve my items.

    Finally on Monday July 8th, someone answered the phone and stated my items would be delivered on Thursday July 11th..nut nope, I didn't receive a phone call, update, nothing..radio silence from Xpress Movers. On Friday July 12th, I left an email and voice mail. I then received a call and spoke with the guy who promised my delivery would happen Thursday July 11th. This time he stated the truck was in route and would deliver to my residence no later than 4:00pm July 12th EST. and I would be receiving a call from the driver an hour before they arrive. So needless to say, I shut down my entire afternoon to be available and prepare for the movers. But again, nope, no delivery, no call from the driver and no update from the dispatcher.

    On Saturday morning I received a text from the driver stating he would be arriving within the hour. They did arrive with an hour, requested payment of the balance before unloading the truck. They offered no apology or discount for this massive inconvenience. Further, one of my items was missing and others broken. My advice, don't use this company as there are so many better more professional, customer first choices available, to which XPress Movers is neither.

  5. Friendly, professional, and efficient.

    These guys were great! I was moving from one side of the city to the other, and there was a big snow storm rolling in. They went out of their way to make sure I got moved before the storm, were very friendly and professional, and got creative in getting all my stuff up the narrow, windy steps to my third floor condo.

  6. 5 Star Experience.

    I chose to use Xpress Movers after they offered the most reasonable price from the 3 companies that reached out to me. The quote they gave me was very detailed in terms of what factored into the cost. They ended up getting everything done an hour earlier than anticipated, which came out of the final cost. I had some large furniture that I was concerned about, but it was handled with care and there were no problems moving these pieces. Overall, they helped make my move from Boston to Chicago a less stressful experience.

  7. Lost items and late delivery.

    I have never had a worse experience working with a company of any kind than I have with Xpress Movers. From the time I considered hiring them until the morning of the pick-up, I was led to believe that my items were being delivered the same day they were picked up. Only on the day of the pick-up did I find out that my things were going to the company's warehouse instead for up to a week. I never would have hired them had I known this. After Paul (Senior Moving Coordinator) admitted that none of the paperwork I received listed any other dates and he may have failed to tell me over the phone that it wasn't same-day delivery, he still didn't make any effort to get my items to me sooner (4 1/2 hours from the pick-up site) and despite claims on its website of daily deliveries to NY. He was rude and unsympathetic.

    Five days after pick-up when the movers arrived at the destination, they were missing several of my items including an irreplaceable antique desk that had belonged to my grandfather, my air conditioner, a brand new coffee maker, 2 of 4 matching chairs and glasses. The men delivering the items said that there were items on the truck that came to Brooklyn that should have gone to Detroit and hopefully my belongings weren't in Detroit. They also said that everyone they'd delivered to that week had been upset about how late the deliveries were including the man right before me who was furious and insisted he examine everything before paying the balance. Xpress Movers never found my items, started dodging my calls unless I called from other phone numbers they didn't recognize, and acted as though they were just as inconvenienced by the entire experience as I was.

    Two aspects of my dealings with this company that weren't terrible: 1. the men doing the moving worked diligently and seemed to be honest about the failings of their company and 2. Annie Andreeva (manager I believe) eventually arranged to drop off an air conditioner that I could borrow. Other than this, I have had an incredibly frustrating experience and hope that others avoid the mistake I made in hiring them.

  8. Vesko & Xpress Movers were GREAT!

    The negative reviews are way off base. Regarding the walk up charges, I also made it clear I was on the 5th Floor of a walk up and they factored that into my initial costs. They did not hide anything and in fact, when I got my final bill it was reduced by $200.

    Vesko was my main POC at Xpress and he is a true pro. I'd use them again.

  9. Xpress Movers - No complaints.

    Xpress Movers were the 1st to contact me and ended up being the company that I used. I got 2 other quotes, 3 total.

    What I liked about Xpress is that they charge by the hour and use 3 men. Other movers were only using 2 men. While I assisted a little during the move (why sit there and watch) they came in 1 hour under the quoted time.

    They arrived on time, were professional and handled my belongings with care. Was very pleased!

  10. Would not recommend due to hidden fees.

    My overall moving experience with this company was severely and negatively impacted by their lack of transparency around hidden/extra fees - despite my repeated inquires into total costs when booking and confirming. It was not until the day of my move (which I think was intentional so that I had no real choice) that I was made aware of their "Stair and Long Carry" fee. Despite the fact that I had told the company at the time of booking and confirming that I lived in a 4th floor walk-up with no elevator, they never once told me that there would be an additional cost for stairs - let alone an exorbitant per flight charge that would equate to nearly half the cost of the total quote. Once my movers arrived, they immediately let me know that "the first flight is free and every flight beyond that carries an additional charge" and that they "consider a flight to be 7 steps." As such, despite the fact that I lived on the 4th floor, they told me I lived "7.4 flights" up. Not only had this charge never been conveyed to me in the booking/contracting phase, but I also found the fact that they consider a flight to be only 7 steps rather ridiculous. It was clearly a ploy for them to get as much as possible out of their hidden fee when I had no recourse. I would not have chosen this company had I known about this fee from the beginning.

    After some back and forth where I inquired as to why I was hearing about this for the first time on the day of the move, I was able to negotiate the original quoted amount down. However, I was told that I needed to pay the extra charge or they wouldn't do my move. Given that I had to be out of my apartment that day, my hands were tied and I didn't have another choice. While I appreciate that the moving men mentioned this at the beginning of their visit rather than at the end, I don't understand why Bob at Xpress (whom I had spoken with several times across the course of the previous 2 months, including 3 times that week) didn't mentioned it any sooner.

    On the whole, I would recommend that others avoid this company because they clearly hide the ball when it's in their favor to do so. My moving men themselves were great and easy to work with, but I really cannot condone how these extra charges were handled.

  11. Casey Movers.

    In early February I hired Casey Movers. I got three quotes and they were the lowest. My husband was worried the low quote might mean poor service, but nothing could be further from the truth. Three aspects of the move stood out as positive to me. They showed up on time, something I really appreciated because I worked to be on time knowing it was going to be a long day. They worked exceeding hard, starting at 8:00 am and working tirelessly till after 6:00pm. Finally, they were very delightful, personable people who made me feel they really cared about my things.

    Easily accessible during entire process via email or phone. Vesko thoroughly explained how the moving would go and gave me the estimate based the information I gave. The movers were on time and got to work quickly. I used packing service, all boxes were marked and easily found upon arrival. Everything arrived in the same condition as it left. Highly recommend.

  14. Great Service from start to finish.

    I used Xpress Movers to move from my apartment to my house few days ago. The move was within West Roxbury, but regardless of the short distance, the guys did an amazing job. From the first call I got from them, until the job was completed everything went smooth. I even asked them to do a stop in Newton to drop off few items at a different residence, and they did it without any complaints. I am very pleased with the service, I received, and will definitely use them again. Thank you all at Xpress Movers for the outstanding job you did for me!
