  1. Won't honor all damages on claim.

They could not damage much of our breakables, as I packed them so well, even though fragile marked boxes were damaged or turned upside down..not a lot was lost, thus the 1 star.  Our complaint was that on our claim they refused to cover two imortant items even after many emails and explaining on our part..they nit picked and refused to be honorable even though we had insurance to cover the items through allied.  Our newer washer was damaged to the point of being totalled on the interior, we had a repair man come out and he veified that it had to have been dropped very hard to break and crack the inside which in turn flooded the floor and electrical parts when it was turned on..they said they were not responsible to fix it since we did not purchase a hook up package..we never heard of that..and the mover was asked to hook it up and he said he was not allowed to.  Also we did not notice that the corner was chipped and did not purt it on the claim so they were not honoring the claim.   Unbelievable! The 4 teak shelves for our tv stand were missing, we told the mover about it and he said they were probably placed inside a waardrobe box and we would find them later.  Therefore the claim agent said it should have been noted on the invoice at the time of the delivery.  THEY DID NOT EVEN TRY TO FIND THE SHELVES.  We have reported tehm to BBB.  I could go on and on..Just be prepared for trouble with any claims.  (they opened my wardrobe boxes and stuffed other boxes inside which crushed and tore my clothes in order to make the load smaller).  That way you could not know what was missing until you unpacked.   .

  2. Made Amends.

I am wriitng regarding my recent review of AA Varco Moving and Storage, an agent of Allied Van Lines, located in Deerfield Beach. The owner of the company Joe Varco has been very responsive to my complaints and has agreed to issue a credit of $1,041.00 on our American Express card for the amount we feel we were overcharged for moving items to our storage facility. The dining table was delivered separately in a timely manner. I would recommend AA Varco Moving and Storage, they are a reputable company and have made every effort to rectify the situation and provide us with a partial refund for the amount in dispute. In spite of some of the issues we had initially, we are satisfied with the end result.

  3. AA Varco Moving & Storage -Allied Van Lines - The worst experience!!

I am writing to let others know not to use AA Varco Moving & Storage, based in Deerfield Beach, Florida. They are an agent of Allied Van Lines. The customer service and experience has been terrible. We used them to move across country from Florida to California. At this point, we still do not have our dining room table and we do not yet know when it will arrive. The owner of the company, Joe Varco has not returned my call in 12 days. We were told that the 8 ft. long dining room table was mistakenly left in Florida in the vault and would be air freighted to us within 7 days. (that was on January 10th) Also, on the morning of the move, I was called at 7:15 am by the owner's assistant and told that she would have to collect an additional $2,100. for Allied tariff and sorting charges to take some boxes to our storage unit or they would not allow the driver to unload the truck with all of our belongings in it. We had let the salesman know ahead of time that we would need to bring some boxes to a nearby storage unit and he had said there may be some additional labor charges depending on how long it would take. On the morning of the move, we were told that they refused to open the truck and would take all of our belongings to an Allied storage facility in Beverly Hills if we did not pay the $2,100! I do not understand why they waited until the morning of the move to let us know of the additional charge. This is after they already had over $15,000. of our money! They were basically holding our belongings for ransom. AA Varco Moving & Storage did not provide a breakdown of the costs and we still don't understand how they calculated these charges. The owner, Joe Varco promised to call us back on January 11th to give us an explanation of the charges and let us know what he can do for us since we did not receive our dining room table and we still have not received his call. We had to give them our credit card or else Joe's assistant would not let the men unload! We argued for 2.5 hours, while 4 moving men waited until we were forced to pay the money to receive our belongings. Upon delivery several pieces of furniture were damaged. The wooden leg on an antique painted chest has a big chunk missing, the fabric on the chenille sofa is damaged, the armoire is scratched, etc. We made a report of these damages but have received no communication from the company as to how and when they will be repaired. We were contacted by Allied Van Lines with a survey regarding how the move went and I explained our unpleasant experience in detail. I was told that we would be contacted by a manager but have not received any communication as of yet. I hope we get our dining room table soon and AA Varco Moving & Storage will refund the additional money they overcharged us for "tariff and sorting" to take some boxes to a storage facility. Based on our experience up to this point, I have to strongly advise against using Allied Van Lines.
