  1. Moving

RUN! don't walk away from this company-RUN. Gameplan: underbid, send low quality movers, say its not their fault.

  2. Long distance move from CO to PA

Not a moving company, a broker. They take a deposit, weeks later require an additional deposit. And they do nothing. They delete your original binding contract. But hold you to it when they overcharge you. RENT A UHAUL.

Hire through a local moving company.

    Allegiance are crooks & thieves.

  3. Liars and Thief's of the worst kind!!!!

Here is how the con worked in my case. My house was packed and in a storage unit. They indicated that the price is based on the square footage. Since my stuff was in storage, this is an easy calculation. We calculated my price based on my storage space being 100% full when in fact it was less than 75% full. I paid a large deposit and scheduled. They waited until days before the pick-up and called me to request an inventory of the storage space. No problem. I start to list the items in the space. While I was still listing items they interrupted me and said it would be almost $2000.00 more than the contracted amount. Clearly they intended to do this regardless of the items on my list. They demanded a new contract, additional deposit and further demanded that all remaining payments be in CASH!!! They said I could use a Post Office money order which is the same as cash. They had me by the short hairs and they knew it. I had already moved out of state and was living in a hotel. They had almost $3000.00 of my money that I had no delusions of getting back. Under duress I capitulated to their extortion plot and paid the thugs.

Before they quit taking my calls, I caught them in several lies. I once politely pointed out one of their statements that their coworker exposed as a lie and asked that they please be straight with me moving forward. They responded by shouting me down. I did my best to deescalate the situation and was super polite and friendly as they had the upper hand.

Once they had all my worldly possessions, all bets were off. They maintained a hostile posture and refused to take my calls, return my emails, or provide me any information, like, when my stuff would arrive. I couldn't have been nicer. (I had no choice) I just wanted to know how long to reserve my hotel. Too bad for me. They would leave me on hold for 45 minutes at a time then hang up. They quit answering emails.

I was given 24 hours' notice by the carrier that they were coming. The truck finally showed up 3 weeks later missing my expensive portable generator and damage to my furniture. I'm sure they generator was no accident. People love to steal those portable generators. I filed a claim but without additional insurance I get .60 per pound.

In closing, these motherless thugs are not to be trusted with your move. Run, do not walk away from these guys. They will quote you an enticing price but in the end you will pay at minimum market rate and suffer their service. There are no mistakes. They are calculating and know exactly what they are doing.

  4. Do not contract with Allegiance!

Please review my complaint with the Better Business Bureau complaint: 90658939 . Allegiance has a one star rating on yelp and it's well deserved. Avoid using them at all costs.

  5. Allegiance: unhelpful, evasive, and at times hostile

I am not a customer, but called Allegiance 21 times to help my parents (exact number from my call history). They hired Allegiance to help them move from AZ to FL. I received one and only callback during that time Oct18th from Monica, who then proceeded to berate me for the second time that day. Due to the character limit, I can’t get in every detail, so there is some information missing.

Allegiance hired Royal Star. Royal Star charged $22,000 more than the original bid bringing total to $40,000. Allegiance blamed my mom. The original bid from Allegiance was for 2647 cubic feet ($18,000). The amount charged was 4300 cubic feet ($40,000). Actual cubic feet was less than 3500 cubic feet based on the size of the delivery truck. Royal Star also included several bogus fees including labor, shuttle, fake taxes, storage, and "bulk." Allegiance said there was nothing they could do. Federal regulations state the broker has to provide a list of potential carriers (which we did not know about initially) and which Allegiance did not do. They have a locked list of carriers on their website which a customer can access if the customer requests the information. I have still not seen this list, and Allegiance has refused to provide it retroactively. This is incredibly evasive.

A few days after Royal star showed up to move, they received an Out-of-Service order from FMCSA. On BBB they have a history of unethical practices. Allegiance said, "we've never had problems before." However, they also informed me within a few days after pickup that they were no longer using Royal Star. Since Royal Star had already taken $27,000 and driven off with my family's stuff this obviously did little to console me.

August: Royal Star said delivery truck was in CO and would arrive 4-10 business days from Aug 31. September: said truck was in FL and would arrive Sep 11 at 5pm. Sep 11 said "tomorrow." Refused to give me driver’s number. Then I was told the truck broke down in AL or LA. Hung up on me. No one answered my calls for a month. Allegiance could not get ahold of Royal Star. Week of Oct 11 my mother was told by Royal Star the truck was in AZ. Royal Star did not answer calls and hung up repeatedly. I got very little help from Allegiance after calling almost every day that week. On Oct 15 I was told by Joann at Allegiance via email that the delivery would be Oct 18. I asked for the location of the truck. Allegiance refused. I asked for the license plate number. Refused. I asked for the driver's phone. Refused.

By Oct 18th Allegiance customer service became hostile and aggressive over the phone. I asked Joann via email for driver's number. Refused. Eventually, Avi (Royal Star) texted my mom Oct 18 that delivery would be Oct 19 at 7am. He refused to give the driver's phone number. He claimed the driver only spoke Spanish. I told him I speak Spanish. He did not respond to texts or calls after that. Oct 19 the delivery truck arrived. I remained on the phone with my mom. I heard my family being threatened by Avi (Royal Star). This was not his first time doing so. I am baffled as to how Allegiance could have ever trusted Royal Star as one of their carriers. I am furious that even now they continue to defend Royal Star.

Emotional Distress: I had multiple panic attacks immediately following my conversations with the customer service representatives at Allegiance. This can be confirmed by my health care providers. I feel this is relevant and important to report because I was treated with hostility. In addition, my mother had shingles aggravated by stress.

Financial Compensation: I have repeatedly requested a refund of the broker fee, from Allegiance. They offered $200 if the customer agreed to sign a document that accepted this refund as "full satisfaction." This $200 refund is less than 4% of the broker fee they collected before the movers ever even arrived. Unsurprising, we have refused this offer. I do not feel this is resolved. Additionally, we will be filing claims with Royal Star for fraudulent charges, late delivery, and any damages we find.

  6. Professionals and no damages

The Allegiance Moving and Storage guys were amazing. They were able to help me move on very short notice and even moved more than I was expecting them to help with. They wrapped everything up and were extremely fast! Definitely the best prices I found anywhere after looking for days & no unnecessary or added fees. Thank you so much you saved me!

  7. ALLEGIANCE MOVING & STORAGE COMPANY

    ALLEGIANCE MOVERS a review

The first thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS, which of course they make sure they never tell you, is that they are not actually a moving company; they are brokers, who hires moving companies for the various trips across the United States. This fact CONSIDERABLY lengthens the amount of time that it will take for your furniture to reach you, even though their standard statement when they are hired is “it will be anywhere from 8 to 10 days to receive your furniture - tops” This statement is but one of many intentional willful deliberate knowing lies this company will tell you.

The second thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS is that they are among the most expensive, if not THE most expensive, moving company in the United States. That never matters, by the way since as soon as your goods are loaded onto the truck, they are clear to point out in the contract in very tiny print, that the price you will pay could be several times more greater than the amount originally specified.

The third thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS, is that there is virtually absolutely totally thoroughly overwhelmingly incontrovertibly no way to reach them. No matter what number you are given for ALLEGIANCE MOVERS it all leads to a woman or woman, obviously somehow peripherally connected to the owner or owners of the company. They attempt to fend off your questions with standard statements, for example “I will check on that tomorrow and find out for you what the situation is“ or perhaps I am not a mover so I can’t answer that specifically“ or perhaps even offering a personal assessment “ well even though they told you 10 days it is going to be4 to 6 weeks because they’re moving your goods 2900 miles and there are legal limits as to how far they can drive and how long they can work. A person of simple intelligence can calculate that driving 2900 miles over 30 days is 96 miles a day, at 60 miles an hour is about 1-½ hours per day of work. My personal theory is that legally, they are likely allowed to work more than 1-½ hours a day. My favorite when inquiring about one of many delays in receipt of my furniture "oh, the truck broke down." Just more intentional willful deliberate knowing lies from ALLEGIANCE MOVERS.

The fourth thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS is that they will change the pick up of your furniture date several times before they get there. The date my furniture was picked up was changed four times in the final week it was due to be picked up; and it was picked up on the final day possible by three young men, who seem to do a reasonable wrapping job of the valuable pieces of the furniture; but moved lackadaisically among other things. I had almost $3300 in cash in a bank envelope stashed in a briefcase in a back bedroom, the last place to be packed, and was, at the insistent request, asked to check out the truck being loaded. I found a few hours later that one of the three young men head filtered through every pocket in my briefcase and relieved me of the envelope of cash.

As for delivering my furniture to North Carolina from Oregon, it is now 29 days since my furniture was initially loaded onto a truck in Lake Oswego, Oregon to be driven - I assumed - to Fuquay-Varina North Carolina - and I have yet to receive any furniture, only many varied reasons why I do not have my furniture. I was told yesterday, that - contrary to the many imaginative lies told me regarding the location of my furniture across the country by the deceitful ladies of ALLEGIANCE - that my furniture was "just loaded onto a truck from a warehouse in Oregon, and they guarantee I would have it in 4-5 working business days. I should read my contract which states that they have 30 buisiness days to deliver my furniture." I do not believe this lie either from the several ladies in the ALLEGIANCE office. I am uncertain who I should notify when my furniture does not show up as the deceitful ladies of ALLEGIANCE MOVERS have promised.

All I am now certain about: EVERYTHING MY WIFE AND I HAVE ACCUMULATED IN OUR 80 YEAR LIVES HAS BEEN STOLEN BY ALLEGIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE COMPANY.

The final thing you need to know about ALLEGIANCE MOVERS is that without exception; every person I spoke with or dealt with from that company was a liar and/or a thief. I sincerely hope that you will do yourself a great favor in considering any short move or any cross- country move, such as mine; and, AVOID ALLEGIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.

  8. Do NOT USE THIS MOVING BROKER

Fraudulent company. They will lie to make a Sale, take a deposit and then go radio silent. They raise the rates and refuse to refund any deposit despite the fact you cannot contact anyone. DO NOT USE

This company is a fraud. They LIED at EVERY TURN.

They will lie about the estimate, hire outsiders to move your stuff that are not insured or bonded (or even movers at all). One guy was contracted to move 3000 cubic feet of a 5 bedroom house (oh he DID hire a "helper" for a few hours - right off craigslist - that day!). They require thousands up front and never honor anything promised. BUYER BEWARE. If I could rate negative stars I would

  9. Buyer beware

Fraudulent company. They will lie to make a Sale, take a deposit and then go radio silent. They raise the rates and refuse to refund any deposit despite the fact you cannot contact anyone. Do not use.

  10. Run from this company!!

Can't even get into what a joke these people are. They completely underestimate your moving costs and plan on an additional 1000 to 2000 from the quote you receive. They will tell you that the bad reviews are for a different Allegience moving - don't believe them. So, they are actually a broker - not a moving company. So, they give your belongings to the cheapest moving company they can find. Most of my furniture arrived damaged and broken. My boxes were crushed and broken. I have never hired a moving company before and am so disappointed that I chose Allegience with my personal belongings!

  11. Poor professionalism, worst customer service, poor performance

This is terrible moving company. They gave me relatively better estimate (not as good , may be 100 dollars less) initially. I had to move from NY to florida on 8/28/21. After the initial payment, they would not reply, call back or respond to any call. They were suppose to call me atleast 24 hrs before. The movers called me on the day of pickup- 2 hours before arrival. When they came - they estimated $1300 above initial estimated price. I had barely used 286 cu feet (had only 33 boxes and a bed) which is the minimum cu ft they charge for. I tried to reach allegiance- but as usual they never picked up. Movers are like " Either you pay this or we leave and there is no refund of what you alread paid". They charged me for for 4 floors (which I mentioned earlier during quote and I was told that since my apartment had elevator, they dont charge me extra) Given my tight schedule and need for me to be there at my new place, I had no choice but to give whetever they asked for and had to sign papers. I had to ask for them discount after which they cancelled charge for 4th floor. I ended up paying 1055 dollars extra. I feel totally scammed here. And not only that, the movers (Safe movers LLC- thats what they called themselves) had no tools whatsoever. I had to dissemble my bed myself with pointed knife on my own because they had no tools. I would never recommend this company. Please do your research and they definitely should not be considered for move.

  12. BAIT AND SWITCH!

TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH OPERATION! DON'T DO IT!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!! IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO RATING, I WOULD!

In the beginning, the sales rep (Trae - AKA Mike) gave excellent customer service and seemed very interested in my tight move date and the importance that I needed to be packed and loaded by Thursday, 8/26/21. He confirmed that would not be a problem, and we moved forward to contract my move. I never knew they were enlisting a "third party" (Safe Moving, LLC - safe moving - LOL) to perform the actual pack and load/move! After I put down my initial deposit for the movement, I was immediately "ghosted"!

After numerous calls to Trae and that awful woman in "customer service" to confirm the packers/loaders" arrival time on Thursday, 8/26/21, I was FINALLY informed that the packers/loaders would not be at my house until Friday, 8/27/21, between 9a - 12p. I was pissed, but it is what it is!

Friday comes, and I get a call at 9:30 am from Safe Moving, LLC (as Allegiance is no longer corresponding with me) informing me that they will not be at my house to perform said pack/move until 4:00 pm. They finally arrive at 4:20 pm (in an unmarked truck - clearly not a reputable company). I greeted the "foreman" of the project at the front door. He immediately informed me that he and his crew had just driven 19 hours straight with no sleep, were going to need more money ( to the tune of 3k-5k more) because Allegiance Moving and Storage (the broker) had misquoted them the volume of the move! After a long debate with these random middle eastern gentlemen (that smelled like the mass unwashed!), I asked them to LEAVE my house!

I have made many long-distance moves over the past 20 years, and my experience with Allegiance moving and storage is BY FAR THE WORST from them stealing my money to the end!

  13. We are still waiting on delivery after 50 plus days

    #AL3805006

I am not one to write poor reviews on google as I like to give a company the time to apologize and right a mistake. However, we have been without our belongings since July 3rd, thanks to allegiance. So it has been over 50 something days without our belongings and over 30 business days. I am writing this to one be transparent with anyone who may consider using Allegiance to move (they are very good at promising and getting you to sign). So before I chronicle what has happened so far, I want Allegiance to know that we just want our stuff, an apology, and a good faith refund of some of the deposit (As that deposit was made for them to coordinate all our move so we didn’t have to worry). If they are able to complete what was contracted, I will be glad to update this review. If this drags out longer we will have no choice but to contact the FMCSA and our own contract lawyer to mediate as they claim to be a FMCSA reputable broker, and use FMCSA reputable movers. So below is our story, and if anyone would like more information, I have copies of the contracts and voice recordings of all phone calls made.

We contacted Allegiance to help with our move from Kansas to Georgia. My stuff was picked up on July 3 with a first scheduled delivery date of July 8th.

July 8-11-Told that it's in storage and they are scheduling the move (We called once that week-No no problem with this as it was stated to us.

July 12-18-Told it was still in storage trying to schedule the movers. (We called 2X that week

July 19-26- Told it was still in storage trying to schedule the movers. We asked what happened to the 5-14 days were told for the first time that they deal in business days and we could not recoup money until 30 business days. (Called Customer service every other day)

July 26-August 1-we were told that it was loaded over the weekend (24-25) and it would be delivered in 5-7 days. (We called every other day again). We were told that our stuff was in GA. Contacted the BBB.

August 2-August 8- Called every day asking where our stuff was. Finally got a response that its still in KS and will be another 3-10 business days.

August 9- August 15- Called every day asking where our stuff was. Finally, received a BBB response from the company on August 11 stating, “Thank you, Adam, I was able to locate your file now. We contacted your carrier regarding the delivery- he stated your items are due to arrive in 5-7 business days.”

August 16-August 22- Called everyday and were met with we are still in the 5-7 days. On Wednesday the 17th (day 4 of 7 business days), we were contacted by their movers that the delivery was en route and they would call in 1-2 business days with a delivery date. We were excited that it may finally be over. Additionally, we received this message on the BBB, “ You spoke with our customer service on 8/17/2021. She made you aware that your items are loaded and en route to you. Your driver will call you direct 24 hours prior to arriving. Thank you!.b

August 23rd-August 29th- This is day 3 that the movers said they would call but they did not. On the 23rd we called allegiance and they stated the movers said it would be an additional 5-7 days. This is day 8 of the original 5 to 7 business days. We asked for the mover's number and called their customer service number. We called and we were met with an incredibly rude customer service agent who stated the stuff was still in the storage unit in Kansas City. We called today on Day 9 of the original 5 to 7 days and Day 2 of the second 5 to 7 days.

I repeat this review is meant to be transparent to any and all that want to use the Allegiance Service. I would love to update this that our stuff is back in one piece and attribute this terrible two months to a labor shortage. So please, Allegiance, get your FMCSA “reputable” movers to move my stuff and end this.

Edit 1: Spoke to Customer service today (Aug 26) stated that the truck would not be loaded until next week Allegiance needs to do their job, take responsibility and get it delivered.

  14. SIMPLY THE WORST

If you've googled moving companies and came across ALLEGIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE let me save you some time money and headache and KEEP searching. This place is a joke. Super unprofessional. TheY did a quote assessment of my move over the phone back in July and it was about 4K then they called again about a week before to do it again and it jumped up to 7K and then when the moving company they contracted for the move "Safe Moving" arrived for our moving day it jumped up to 16K and by that time its too late because are stuff is already on the truck and they already have our first 2 deposits. Ok the move was awful the guys were inexperienced. TheY didn't wrap any furniture. They didn't properly wrap any fragile items. They were drinking on the job (one guy was clearly intoxicated drinking alcohol from MY home) When I tried to call ALLEGIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE for help since they are the brokers and to have responsibility for who they hire ,they NEVER ever called me back. I emailed MANY TIMES AS WELL . Once they got paid they basically didn't exist. Now its 2 weeks later and we finally recieved our stuff and OMG. You cannot imagine the state of our personal belongings. Brand new TV destroyed, 2 bicycles, a brand new peloton. PriceleSs family heirlooms thrown in a box like it was trash. In addition to that me and my family had to lift all our boxes and furniture ourselves because they only sent 2 guys to unload. Meanwhile MIKE SCOTT from ALLEGIANCE sold me on the full service packing and moving meaning they disassemble and reassemble everything. HAA....We had to rebuild everything ourselves theses guys were so overwhelmed! Now I have pinched nerve in my back and my husbands rotator cuff is in bad shape. I have been calling ALLEGIANCE for 3 days now and NOBODY IS EVER IN THE OFFICE. I have asked for a manager and NOBODY EVER CALLS ME BACK. I spoke with ANGELICA who swore this was unacceptable and would be addressed by a manager (never heard from them) I spoke with JESS who also said she would relay the message and was screening my calls because I called like 4 times in a row from my cell and then I called from another number and she answered!!1 Amateurs!. I just spoke with MONICA who should seriously reconsider working in customer service. She was rude and kept hanging up on me. She told me they are busy and working from home because of Covid 19 (is she for real) Did their prices reflect the hardships of the pandemic. Did the pandemic stop them from collecting my payments....Get a grip! I need their lawyers information so my attorney can contact them and they refuse to give me that info SO I WILL RIGHT A REVIEW EVERYDAY UNTIL SOMEONE CALLS ME BACK AND COMPENSATES US ACCORDINGLY.

  15. Moving

If I could give this Company 0 stars or negative stars I would. They are great when booking, but then you pay the upfront deposit the service goes down hill from there. No one calls you back and the day or 2 days of your move no one shows up and they give you the run around for days. There is never a supervisor to help you either. If you are smart you will never use this Company. I will be using my in house council to get my refund back. Beware and stay away form these movers!!!
