  1. They did an excellent job

    From start to finish, their communication, punctuality, and work ethic was nothing but amazing. Their website was extremely helpful and easy to navigate. I was able to quickly fill out the form. Talk about great service! If anyone is in need of long-distance moving services, these guys are the best.

  2. Everyone was wonderful and extremely helpful

    The crew made sure that all of my expectations were met and that I felt comfortable. All of my belongings at the end of the move were still in the same condition as they were at the beginning. If I ever move again I will definitely be using Alliance Moving and will be recommend their service to family and friends.

  3. Lied about so many things - now screening my calls

    DO NOT use this company. We chose Alliance Moving & Storage (there are several with similar names but this is the one - https://www.alliancemoving.co/ located in Deerfield Beach, FL) for our recent move from San Francisco to Seattle. I spoke with Johnathan Steele. He promised us our move was direct (no warehouse stop) and that he was putting us on a truck that was going from San Jose to Seattle the same weekend, so our stuff would arrive in Seattle in 1-2 days MAX. He also said he padded our estimate by 11% (he claims it's his way of ensuring we don't get hit with surprise overage charges) and that our stuff would likely be under and we'd pay less. He promised that the movers would load our belongings and measure the total cubic footage and adjust the price back down then. When the movers came, they did NOT measure anything - I asked them and they said they don't do that, and that I had to pay what was estimated. They also said there was no direct shipment for our belongings, they were taking it to a warehouse and would wait til the next truck heading north. They told us 3-7 days. It's now been 3 weeks and 4 days since our pickup and we STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED OUR STUFF. We only packed for 1-2 days since that's what we were promised and have spent hundreds of dollars the past month to take care of ourselves without our belongings. We also had all of our Christmas presents in the truck so we couldn't give those to loved ones on the holiday, and we'll now have to ship those to family instead. I've tried calling Johnathan and Alliance's customer service several times. Johnathan has ignored my emails and screened my calls. My last call he picked up and hung up. I was on hold with customer service for 2 hrs one day and then it just cut me off. I've only been able to reach two humans so far: Crystal - she was very nice but ultimately did not help me. I also spoke to another guy in customer service who said he couldn't do anything because they "were just the broker". As I said before, DO NOT use this company. They lie and promise all sorts of things to get you to use them.

    My wife and I have had an excellent experience with Alliance Moving & Storage in wrapping, preparing, transporting and then unpacking our furniture and belongings from AZ. Great movers with great attitudes. We were extremely satisfied to receive the service from this crew.

  5. Stay Away

    Stay away from this company. They are dishonest, liars, and unethical. Quoted one fee, they increased it by $2000 at pickup. Promised a benefit of using them is that our possessions remain in the same truck, never put in storage. Our possessions are currently sitting in a warehouse in Oregon. Guaranteed by Robert and Nicole that our belongings would be delivered 1/8-1/9. Now they are saying sometime by 2/10. We already had booked airline tickets to meet the truck 1/8-1/9

    They try to push you to pay in cash- hmmm wonder what the IRS will say about that.

    Looking at Yelp reviews, it definitely sounds like our experience is the norm for this company

    I left messages and sent an enacting Robert asking them to address my concerns. No response so now my only option is to blast this company on social media. Hoping to help others so they don’t get screwed like we did.

  6. Had a great experience

    Micheal gave me a great price, and the three guys he sent were very professional. I even had class this day so I couldn’t be there while they moved everything but I was stress free since they were able to take care of everything while I was in class. It was a great experience working with this company.

  7. Book yourself with them!

    Unlike other movers, very great experience. Across the country from LA to NC, one driver drove the entire route and transported everything carefully without a hitch or broken/chipped items. Employees of this company are good to work with. I called them at the last minute and they were very polite and made me feel comfortable.

  8. Move

    We had a bit of complicated move but yet best experience. They were extremely professional, careful and efficient. To top it off, There’s price was very competitive vs other quotes we received. It was the best moving experience I've ever had.

  9. These movers were great!

    As a professional they promptly answered my many questions and had all the documentation. The day-of they were on-time and a pleasure to work with. They worked hard and finished sooner than quoted. They wrapped all the furniture, and nothing arrived damaged or broken. I would highly recommend this group to anyone.

  10. Terrible terrible service!

    Do not use ALLIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE!!!! After many days of research, we decided to go with them. All they required was a $1000 deposit (they charged 5% more if you paid w/credit card so we paid via check - clue #1- STUPID US). They gave us a two-day window as to when they would be here in CA to pick up our belongings to FL. Day one morning the driver called saying the truck had been stolen but he was getting another one (clue #2). We called and emailed the moving company numerous times - no one returned our calls. Finally we received a text saying they would look into it and get back to us. No one EVER got back to us. Day two window, no one showed up, no one called and we had to drive our belongings to Florida. I had just had hip surgery and it was not a pleasant experience, to say the least. We finally reached a real person and they were extremely nasty to us, but they said to send them a synopsis of what happened and that they would review our request for a refund. That never happened, they just strung us along, with excuses such as their computers had gone down. Needless to say, not only were we out the $1000 but also the cost of the flights because I mistakenly forgot to cancel them during this entire fiasco, lost wages, much more out of pocket for gas, hotels and the renting of a cargo trailer (no large trailers available anywhere within 200 miles from us due to all of the fires in CA). Just please do your homework and then do it again a couple more times. The following is what was at the bottom of the moving company's reply to us. Pretty nice huh?

    If you initiate a chargeback/charge reversal with your credit card company or financial institution anytime during the cancellation request/approval process it will negatively impact the cancellation process. Subsequently, if you defame our company on the internet during the cancellation request/approval process it will negatively impact the cancellation process.

  11. The service was all I could ask for

    They were able to accommodate me and my move date with no issues. They were careful with all my furniture and wrapped everything. The gentlemen who moved me were polite and good in behavior. The lady who booked the move, Sasha, was very friendly called to confirm, reached out to me before the movers arrived, and followed up.

  12. Great Movers!

    It was our first time using movers and we had the best experience we could have had. Everything was loaded and unloaded and we had to move from two separate apartments, but same building. The rate was very reasonable and Marcus, Juan, and Gary were extremely respectful of all of our items and very friendly-always helpful during a stressful move! We would use this company again and I will be recommending then to my friend and family.

  13. Avoid this company - terrible experience

    These guys are a complete scam. DO NOT USE THEM. My daughter and I were looking for a reliable company to help me with my move from California to Ohio. I was very nervous about the move so we did some research online. We found that Alliance moving had great reviews and so I called. Little did I know that that company I found was NOT the same Alliance Moving that has the good reviews (which is a company based in Chicago not Florida like this one). They use almost identical names and very similar web addresses and get a lot of people like us to come to their door thinking they are someone else. 

    My experience with Alliance during the sales process was great .A very friendly rep helped me put together an estimate (which I was very happy was below $4,000 which seemed like a good deal) and confirm that they could have my stuff delivered for my desired dates.  I even had my daughter speak to them and we both felt like everything looked ok so I went ahead and booked the move.  Everything seemed normal up to this point, but that all changed the day of the move.  

    The day that Alliance was scheduled to pick up my stuff in California was the day that I learned that they had outsourced my move to another company (called Leadership Logistics). The guys that showed up were scary, intimidating and basically crooks. I am a senior woman and was by myself for the pickup. When the guys came they started demanding more money, saying that I had more things than was on the original quote. I asked them to show me how they were calculating the additional weight they wanted to charge me for but the owner refused and instead chose to intimidate me by yelling at me and telling me that they have years of experience and just knew by looking. I couldn't believe what was happening. We were very careful to count the items during the original estimate. I could not believe that the movers were now demanding twice the original estimate for what couldn't have been more than a few extra items. I called Alliance to get their help with this situation. Instead of helping me they chose to also bully me. They said that Leadership logistics was now in charge of the move and that if they were charging more money then I had to pay them. What I later learned is that the Alliance people only provide 'an estimate' and then they outsource/broker moving services' to someone else which means that you have to enter into a completely different contract with the actual mover which in my case was a small 'one truck and a few guys outfit. 

    I felt so uncomfortable and I just wanted to pull the plug and ask them to leave. I told Alliance that I felt personally threatened (as they were demanding I give them thousands of more dollars and sign a new contract) and that I wanted to cancel this move. Alliance then proceeded to tell me that I had already agreed and that if I did not accept the move then I would lose the over $3,000 I had already paid to Alliance as I would be 'Refusing Service'. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.  It all happened so fast, I was alone and scared and had both Alliance and Leadership logistics bullying me and extorting me at the same time.  I ended up letting Leadership logistics take my things because I didn't want to lose the money I had paid.  That was a HUGE mistake.     After committing to me that they could deliver my things by October 2nd but they washed their hands of the entire move once my belongings were picked up. My delivery date was approaching and I was not able to get an answer from Alliance on the status. I spent over a month getting the runaround from service reps at Alliance and getting no response at all from Leadership.  Ultimately, Alliance outsourced my move to a company who had multiple complaints against them. In my case, they extorted more money from me when they picked up my stuff and then they put my stuff in storage and disappeared. 

    I had to get the police involved and was finally able to locate my belongings and am now having to pay someone else to get it delivered months later. The entire time I was desperately seeking confirmation of where my things were or when they could be delivered. I was passed off from rep to rep with the same 'we are unable to reach anyone but will call you tomorrow with an update' to get me off the phone and then no one would. I desperately tried to get a manager on the phone but there doesn't seem to be ANYONE that is actually in charge or able to escalate or resolve anything beyond the entry level operators. 

     Again, this company (Alliance based in Florida) should be avoided. They take your down payment, outsource the move , don't do any background checks or care about the quality of these moving companies they subcontract with and then they wash their hands of everything once your stuff gets picked up. Don't fall for this.

  14. Alliance Moving your stuff to who knows where as slow as possible

    Alliance is a company that works in various branches to be as confusing as possible and get with away the most unprofessional service possible. You start with sales and customer service with our salesman John Steele giving us a bs date for delivery as fact. Then the movers who work with different company of trucks who is different from dispatch who is different from customer service who is also different from their messaging service. They do this so you have to track down one specific person for one detail of information and in order for one branch of the company to get your information to assist you THEY end up calling the other parts of the company. For example if you call customer service to try and find where your possessions are you get to wait while they call the same number you would call for dispatch. The movers have no contact with the customer aside from when they get your things and when they give you your things. They will give you dates and times in an attempt to make you feel at ease and will never meet them they will lie as much as possible to get your money. Morally as corrupt as the worst politician if you even dare to try and get a quote for how much moving will cost you will get a call from your very own John Steele telling you how in just a week or two your stuff could get moved to anywhere you want. Your better off carrying things and walking.

  15. Will not refund my downpayment

    These people robbed me of $940!!! I called for an estimate back in July of 2020. The man that helped me was Steve Cohen out of Boca Raton. He kept insisting that I put a third down on the move even though I was unsure of the date because of covid. I informed him 11/12/20 that I would not be moving because I had found another job here in town and would like them to refund me my downpayment. He had assured me that if I do not move They would return my money. When I called he acted strange and immediately transfered me to the billing department. After a 40 minute wait a young girl came on the line {Crystal}. She seemed confused about refunds and put me on hold for another 20 minutes after which she hung up on me. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I called the billing department again and got Nicole Taylor on the line. She was curt and rude. She sent me an e-mail that I had to sign for a refund. I am still waiting for my refund on 12/27/20. This is a shitty way to treat a disabled senior citizen. They did not stand behind their word. I tried calling Steve multiple times and he refuses to answer the phone or call back.
