  1. Bowel Movers

If you want your BOWELS moved, this moving company is for you!

Hired Alliance Moving and Storage to move my parent’s clothing, dining room table, and baby grand piano from Seattle to Phoenix.  It was supposed to be a rather simple move across three states.  It ended up being a long financial trip around the bend of the Bend Over Highway.

First, this BOWELS moving company is no moving company at all. It is a broker out of Florida, which hired a moving company (253.800.9053) out of the Seattle area to move my folks.  This is exactly what Alliance is….a broker ready to break your balls and bank account.

The representative on the phone, William (478.410.7995), tells you exactly what you want to hear regarding the terms and conditions.  But in reality, what he and this company tell you versus what really takes place are two entirely different things. This ranges from misleading and false delivery dates to costs that are quick to change.

This BOWELS moving company told my folks that their belongings would arrive on December 7th, one day after my parents moved into their new house. After receiving the down payment and other fees, William stopped answering the phone. Others in the company offered excuses and stated that they actually have up to three weeks to execute the delivery. They provided an initial quote for the entire job to my father and stated its cost estimates are fairly accurate. If you’ve read this far, I refer back to the first line of this post.

To add insult to this long and grueling trip over Bend Over Mountain, the moving company, hired by this bowel moving broker, broke a TV and was kind enough to allow us to discover it. Clearly it shoved a large PENIS in its mouth. No one said a word.  I tried to call the moving company and got a massive run around in automated phone hell. I’m sure it will blame it’s lack of communication and customer response on COVID.

Bottom line…if you want the depths of your financial bowels to get moved along with some broken furniture, Alliance Moving and Storage is for you.

If you don’t want to feel like you just underwent a major procedure involving dishonesty, misleading statements, and used car salesmen tactics — I strongly encourage you to take some vitamins and call another moving company.

These guys will drain the blood out of a tampon if you let them!

  2. Oregon to Virginia Move

My first experience with a cross-country move. Moved from Oregon to Virginia where I'm now stationed, and got a fair quote as well as a discount I qualified for due to amount of cubic feet we had. They worked with my husband and I financially and allowed us to delay payment as needed. However, only after everything was packed and loaded in the truck, were we notified that our final price would be DOUBLE our initial quote. Called the employee's direct line who gave the initial quote, and didn't offer any assistance other than taking it up with customer service. Called customer service SEVERAL times, and instead of working something out, proceeded to be defensive, screamed at my husband, and hung up on us twice. They've since refused to talk with us now. The unprofessional treatment we've received is appalling. Would absolutely recommend doing your research and don't recommend this company whatsoever.

  3. This company is a FRAUD

I paid for my items to be delivered from California to Texas on July 3, 2021. My items have still not been delivered. I have reached out several times and no one has returned my calls or emails. I have asked if I could pick my things up on my own, with no response. I am out $2,100 + all my things that are irreplaceable. I am now going to have to file a lawsuit in civil court since I have yet to hear anything!

  4. Lack of communication

I don’t know what “you will be contacted 2 or 3 days prior to pick up” meant to them. Never received any call, and I tried contacting company to give them idea of what I had to be shipped. Therefore they came with a truck too small and charged me an additional $2500. In addition Alliance subcontracted shipment to Deluxe Moving and Storage (they are even worse than Alliance)

My pickup date was May 30th. My shipment arrived July 16. Items were missing and inquiries have been ignored and mail has been returned as undeliverable.

This was a move from northern NY to NC. I made an 800 mile trip back to NY, rented U-haul boxes to get the remaining items to NC. That was another $1800. U-haul was excellent, time frame on schedule and very helpful.

I have been told once Alliance subcontracted the move, they are no longer involved in taking care of my problems.

My advice, beware of smooth talkers and lack of any help once they get their down payment.

  5. Move

Wish I could give zero stars. I was told items would be delivered in 3-5 business days from pick up and given a quote. I contacted them 72 hours before move to finalize the items to be moved and never heard back from anyone. Ended up paying $2000 more than quoted. It has been 18 days since pick up and I still do not have my belongings. I have emailed and called but get no response from anyone. Very disappointed in this company. Do not use or trust this company. Pay a little more and go with an actual moving company to ensure all your belongings will get to you.

  6. Ripoff!

First, I would like to give 0 stars. Our items were picked up on the 23rd of August and even though we had told them where we lived there was a sudden "oh the truck won't fit we have to put it in storage and it will be $2,000 more than quoted". Alliance is a broker and when we called for help they said we are just the broker. NO help at all. Our household goods finally arrived 73 days later after numerous calls and promises of delivery to the mover that Alliance gave us (again Alliance just said I will email them when we called for help), had to pay $300 more than quoted when they delivered. Use a real moving company not a broker. It ends up costing more in the long run even though they tell you it doesn't. It is a ripoff. Mover beware. I had a bad feeling but Daniel the sales person was really good at his job. Really wish I didn't fall for it! In the end it cost us 2,300 more than the quote and took 2 and a half months to get our items. What a joke. The items showed up in a U-Haul but the driver (not even from the company that picked up our items just contracted out to him) was nice.

  7. SCAM ARTISTS

Do not use Alliance Moving and Storage from Boca Raton Florida they are a scam outfit. Hired them for a cross country move on 9/4/2021 for a move on 10/29/2021. Daniel Snyder gave us a price with a binding contract, we paid the required deposit of $1837. On 10/26/2021 3 days before the move a Michael Cooper called and said we should look at the move and make sure there will be space on the truck for our stuff, he said we should bump up the cubic capacity which we did, he then said we need to make another $2000 deposit which we did. I called on Wednesday 10/257/2021 to check on time movers will be there was told they are delayed in Oregon they texted Friday 10/29/2021 and said they would be there on Saturday. A couple hours later Friday 10/29/2021 they texted again and said 9am Sunday 10/31/2021 they would be there. Sunday 10/31/2021 morning at 8:45am they called and said they were here. We drove to storage unit and all that was there was a sedan with 2 men they were here to survey and truck would be here Monday 11/01/2021. Totally unacceptable. They have already cost me another month’s rent on 2 storage units because we are not out by end of month. I called dispatch and he basically told me to pound sand I would not be getting any refund because it has been more than 48 hours duh, I booked them in September. TOTAL SCAM OUTFIT DO NOT USE.

  8. Profeesional Liars, Kept My Deposit Without Ever Moving A Finger

    Job No: AL5480037

Exactly one year ago Roger Stein from Alliance Took two deposits from me totaling $ 3,596.62 and never moved me as promised, nothing changed from my side except that the company they subcontracted with refused to do it under the excuse that he needed one more truck two more workers. That happened on a Sunday, but no manager from Alliance was available to talk to, so I was told they will call me first thing in the morning next day, that never happened either. When I called 9 days later, they were not even aware that their driver refused to pick the same amount of furniture and boxes that was in the original moving estimate. If that's no stealing! well, you be the judge. I'm in shock that they are still in business since you can clearly see I'm not their only victim. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS.

    Rafael Rodriguez

  9. Unprofessionals and Liars

DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY. I was scheduled for a move, they did not come at scheduled time. It has been 1 month and 2 weeks and I have yet to receive my items or know where it is. I am in a whole new state with none of my belongings. Every time I call they don't give the right answer as to where my items are or when it will be delivered. I was suppose to get compensated for $250 off my bill from the manager due to issues I was having with them before they even picked up my items, I call and ask about it to this day and they said the manager is no longer there, therefore they can't complete that. They had a different company come get my things and when I call them as well, no one knows when my items will be delivered to me, or get no answer from the phone/email.

  10. Liars and Con Artists

Anyone who books this company is booking at their own risk. I booked a move for about 40 boxes and four pieces of furniture. When the movers showed up, they loaded up about 5 boxes then claimed it would be another $2500 because we had more than was quoted. The movers themselves worked with plenty of smoke breaks.

Then the nightmare truly got started. We were promised that our items were on a truck to a town about 50 miles from us. Instead, our items, without telling us, were stored in a warehouse in Maryland. For over a month. When we called for updates, we were lied to by Alliance. Cassy/Cassidy, the person that answered the phone, was extremely condescending in telling us that this is totally acceptable and that even though we had been promised by multiple other people verbally and in writing, that our items would arrive within 14 days, that we would get our items within 30 days. Turns out that that was a lie as we didn't get our stuff until 45 days.

We asked, multiple times, for updates and the location of our items. Cassidy told us that we had to reach out to the moving company directly and that they only contracted to contract with others and that they did not have to do anything else to help us (so much for that door to door help, eh?). When we called the moving company, that never actually identified themselves, we were told that Texas was clearly not on the route from the east coast to the west coast and that we should "learn to read a map".

Cassidy promised to send us claims information in writing and did not do that. No one would provide us, in writing, with a final amount due. The reason for this was blatantly clear when we were told, the night before our items were to arrive, that it would be an additional $1000, coincidentally the amount of the first money order that the company that didn't think Texas was along the route, had already cashed.

We were told that we would have to pay courier service as there was nowhere to park a semi truck even though there was plenty of space. When we refused, the moving company finally relented and agreed to drive our items to us. They arrived in a penske truck and according to the drivers, that penske truck is the truck that they drove from Maryland so there was NO SEMI TRUCK INVOLVED. At one point, the driver even said to me that it was a good thing that penske trucks are not required to go to weigh stations as they were overloaded by thousands of pounds.

When the drivers started unloading my items, many boxes were broken, some had burst, some were cut open, and the drivers dropped boxes constantly. Whomever had loaded the truck pulled down my rolltop desk and then stacked boxes on top of the fragile roll top. The desk is ruined.

I also received four boxes that were not mine so who knows who else possibly received my items.

It also turns out that the company that took the items from my house and stored them in Maryland subcontracted to another moving company. After researching, neither of these companies are actually licensed to perform interstate moves.

And of course, now that I have broken china and furniture, no one picks up the phone and no one responds to queries on how to file a claim for the broken contract and items.

Seriously. Don't do it. Not unless you love the hassle of your items sitting in a warehouse for over a month, condescending attitude that you pay thousands of dollars for, unlicensed and unbonded workers that have plenty of opportunity for theft, lies, and demands for extra money.

  11. AUDACITY TO OFFER ME $150 TO REMOVE MY NEGATIVE REVIEW!!!

    ZERO STARS!!!!

    FRAUD COMPANY, SAVE YOUR MONEY

AUDACITY TO OFFER ME $150 TO REMOVE MY NEGATIVE REVIEW!!!

REFUND MY DAMAGED WASHER & DRYER!!!

A job is a job, but how do you sleep at night, knowing all the pain you cause families!!!

ALLIANCE MOVING & STORAGE IS A FRAUD!!!! This my follow up review for this FRAUDULENT COMPANY. My move was almost a year ago and I still have to relive this nightmare move. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! Avoid the heartache and save your money. THEY ARE THE BORKERS who sent me a POS moving company who damaged my washer and dryer (who is now not in business) and ALLIANCE refuses to take any kind of accountability. They said, you signed the contract and we are not responsible for the damage! Fine, but you are RESPONSIBLE FOR HIRING A POS MOVING COMPANY!!! REFUND MY WASHER AND DRYER IS MY SOLE REQUEST!!!!

I've spent hours with them over the year on the phone with the run around. This last call they had the AUDACITY TO OFFER ME $150 TO REMOVE MY NEGATIVE REVIEW!!! AND THEY ASKED FOR ME TO SIGN A NDA!!!

Seriously????? I declined and now will be going to small claims over a WASHER & DRYER.

  12. SCHEDULING A MOVE

Contacted the company to get information and see if they would be available. They called up back while we were at dinner and they took our information. We told them we would get back with them the next morning to follow-up. We decided to not go with them and tried to cancel. Per the "contract" we had 48 hours to cancel. Then they said they they had scheduled pick-up for two days later. We would not have been available and would never agree to that date. The pick up location was in Nevada and we were in Montana. They claim that we can't cancel because the moving date was within 72 hours. We never agreed to any of this. Unfortunately, My husband provided them with our Visa number and they charged us $5152.95.

  13. Breaching of their contract

I was promised a binding moving estimate and got a company that lost its operating authority from the DOT. It was promised that this company would broker with a company in legal operating authority. Now my items are held hostage and being black mailed to pay a higher price. Talked to a mover and once a binding moving estimate is agreed upon THAT IS WHAT IS PAID. Not a penny more. Horrible company!

  14. Not illegal, but a scam for sure. Go with an actual moving company.

The first thing you need to know is this is not an actual moving company. It is a brokerage company. This means they don't take any liability for the movers they contract.

Now as for my experience with them, terrible. The first mover outfit contracted covid19 and move was delayed. NO ONES FAULT, but Alliance offered no immediate help or compensation.(bad business) 7 days later another outfit showed up and accessed the load to be bid 42% too low. (this is after I've removed 2 dressers and a desk from estimate)At this point I'm stuck. Alliance required a 2k deposit, since the first driver didn't make it I had to move to new location and the couple I sold my house to allowed me to store my things in the garage til movers showed. So I payed the guys, they didn't bid the job so I can't fault them. Now I've called Alliance and asked for an explanation. The response I received amounted to a sarcastic "at this point what do you want me to do about it" and an blanket excuse of "its just a computer estimate not guaranteed". Alliance puts all blame on the carrier.(horrible business practice). Now to the carrier, 3 guys in a rented Penske truck.(again horrible business) pleasant guys but wouldn't honor Alliance contract of moving things up one flight of stairs as being included(they wanted more money). The back of the truck looked like they threw my stuff on top of someone else's stuff(literally). Boxes and bins crushed, bikes damaged, just utter chaos. But what do you do? I'm stuck and no one will take any liability. Alliance blames the carrier, the carrier blames Alliance. It's like I told my wife, it happened, it's done with, we can't let discourage our new life. The purpose of this review is not to seek retribution or vengeance but to help any future victims avoid this situation.

  15. Moving across country

We needed to move across country and went through Alliance initially. We were rushed through the process over the phone. Life happened and we needed to change plans. We canceled less than 2 hours after signing the papers and putting a 2625.00 down payment. Granted we should have read everything ourselves, but the owner gave us an overview of each thing we signed. Never once did he disclose the initial payment will be non refundable if you cancel. When we called to cancel all the owner said was, How do you expect us to stay in business if people cancel?" Very poor customer service. Very rushed. So now we owe $2625.00 for no services rendered. Not a good company to work with. Please be aware, don't let them rush you and read all the fine print.
