I will use them again if I move
We had them move from our 2 bedroom apartment into a house, and they all did such a great job. Nothing was damaged or scratched or lost. They were on time. These guys were not only very reasonably priced, they were also good. I will recommend them to everyone I know.
They are AGENTS - not movers - Fishy business
We were not informed in our introductory call that they are agents who broker movers. They called us every day till we signed up (which seemed trustworthy based on reviews + speaking with their staff). Scheduling the move and flexible dates worked well. Day of move a different moving company comes to pick up who don't mention their delivery policy of 2 to 14 days since requested date. FEES INCREASED though we REDUCED ITEMS. Now, they won't tell us when they can deliver (24hrs notice). Alliance won't help. Don't trust them.
Very quick and efficient movers
We were in our new office space in a matter of hours. They were very careful with our stuff when they were picking it up and even took our bed apart for us before loading it onto the truck. Will surely recommend them!

Low Ball Estimates – Be Very Careful!
Alliance will have a helpful representative give you a quote. They will ask about your inventory list. Together, we went through the items in our 3-bedroom home. I estimated 75 boxes, which I was told that is high for a normal move. But I insisted on keeping the count 75. We were quoted $5,700 for 1090 cubic feet. Cubic feet mean nothing to me, but I felt confident in the estimate based on the detailed process. Once you agree on the quote they want you to write a check and scan it to their payment portal right away. When I asked about using a credit card, they pressed for a checked payment. We paid a deposit of $2,500.
A few days before your pick-up you will be asked to update your inventory. I did not get the revised estimate until late Friday for a weekend move. Almost a $3k increase! I was shocked. I told Alliance to stick with the original price and space estimate.
We were told that a truck would be here Saturday or Sunday (5/29 or 5/30). By Friday, May 28th, I received texts that the driver would be here Saturday. I also called Alliance for updates and was told schedules are made late in the day. On Saturday, I received a text message that the drivers were “stuck” in Illinois, and they could come late Saturday or early Sunday between 11am or 12pm. One text even included a map showing my truck in the Chicago area. Sunday morning I receive a text that the drivers were “357 miles away,” which is further away than Chicago. In hindsight, these updates were likely complete fabrications.
A truck arrived Sunday evening at 6:30pm. Not an Alliance truck, but an empty 24-foot U-Haul driven by two men in street clothes. Only then did we know that Alliance is a just a broker and hires out your quote to who-knows-what. These guys then said I had more than my quoted space. Fair enough I was expecting that. But the driver said we get only half of the 24 ft truck! We got on the phone with Alliance. Tony at Alliance insisted that we should load the truck with all our things and then we would just have to pay them whatever they demand for the additional cubic feet. When I asked why they couldn’t load up the truck to the extent I paid for, Tony said it doesn’t work like that. Only after an extended argument and several calls did Tony agree that they could load the truck to 1090 cubic feet. (1090 cubit feet is much more than half of a 24 foot truck.) But now we are left wondering if Tony at Alliance has any control of the two non-uniformed men who showed up and told me that I had only bought half of a U-haul truck. Plus, half a U-haul truck is not going to contain even my essential items. I decided to cut ties when I calculated that I could rent my own larger U-haul and get far more space for thousands less, even when compared only to Alliance’s remaining fee after the deposit.
Soon after, I received a phone call and several text messages from, I guess, the boss of the two guys who showed up. The last text stated I could have the whole truck for an additional $1500 (presumably additional to the $5700)…. “a great deal.” But who would rent a 24ft U-haul for $7200?
Other red flags: When we were ready to cut ties, Alliance said it would be hard to find a truck. I had at this point reserved my own U-Haul without issue. I also cannot say what would have happened if we decided to let the two random guys take our load for the additional fee. If the deal is brokered out, but separate agreements can be made with 2 guys, how do I know what the price is? Or who is in control?
To sum up, Alliance will take advantage of the consumer’s inability to convert furniture and possessions into cubic feet. They will make the potential buyer think the initial lowball estimate is genuinely in the ballpark of the final price. Then they will wait until the last moment to put you in a pressure situation that will force you to agree to a radical increase in price. Finally, you will not get professional uniformed movers in a real moving truck. You will get two random people showing up very late in a truck you can rent yourself for thousands less. This was a scam and would like to warn other consumers to stay away from Alliance. Nice sounding people give you a good quote and then closer to your move date the shady stuff starts going down. DO NOT USE ALLIANCE!
I would use them again
Excellent customer service, fast response time over both email and phone. My movers, were very efficient, and were done before I knew it. They dis-assembled and re-assembled all of the items, and did everything they could to make my life easier.
Excellent Work!
My three movers handled everything efficiently and delicately. They wrapped all furniture, were careful with boxes, and there was no damage to anything. While I have only used these guys once, based on this experience I would definitely use them again.
They are just best
I recommend the whole moving company to all. The whole moving guys were punctual, professional, and quick. The movers took good care of our stuff.
Never delivered items
Pick up date was suppose to be 4/27, didn't come until 5/3 with no call to let me know. Increased price of the move by $2000 even after I sent them a corrected inventory after THEY screwed up. Now have been at my new location for 22 days with no belongings and Alliance claims its not their problem, they only deal with the scheduling and pick up.

My daughter is trying to move to from one state to another state. After looking at UHaul and Budget truck rental prices and figuring cost of gas, we decided to go with Alliance Moving and Storage because it was going to be less expensive. She contracted and paid a good portion of her savings down on a contract that was to call her on 5/22/2021 to schedule her pick up on either 5/24/2021 or 5/25/2021. After hearing nothing on 5/22/2021, she called and was told nothing. On 5/24/2021 she again called and finally got through to dispatch to find out what time that day or the next day 5/25/2021 they would pick up her belongings. She was informed at that time that her move would now start sometime between 5/26/2021 and 5/28/2021 and supposedly agreed. When a company breaks their contract with you with no possible way of getting your money returned for said broken contract, what are you going to do? She agreed even though for work reasons she has to be in the new state by 5/28/2021. She agreed under duress as they are holding her money hostage and are not honoring their part of the contracted dates of 5/24/2021 or 5/25/2021. They do not answer their phones, they do not return phone calls and this has been an utter nightmare. We HOPE that they will eventually complete the move without damages to her belongings but the verdict is out. I would steer clear of this company, for us, hindsight is 20/20. :(

Used Alliance Moving for my move from Florida to Alabama on short notice. They did an amazing job and were completed it in just 5/6 hours. Great customer service with affordable prices. I plan on using them for any future moves, and I recommend you do the same!

The whole team were friendly, fast, diligent and super helpful. I was overwhelmed and not as prepared for the move as I had hoped and planned to be. Matt took charge and helped me get organized and prioritize. It was a relief to have a moving crew for our home that felt like a partner.

Alliance Moving and Storage LLC is not a moving company at all. They are slick con artists, complete with fake reviews that will take your money and keep asking for more. They hire sub-contractors that no one will hire due to their reputations. Keep searching until you find the real reviews of this fraudulent company. Don’t let them scam you.

3 guys came and wrapped up all our furniture, heavy mirrors, and frames. They were even able to help us bring down 2 old TVs, a desk, and bookshelf that we weren’t bringing with us but we needed to remove from the apartment.
The Big Move
Our initial contract was with Alliance Moving and Storage who sub-contracted it with Home Movers ( We didn't know Alliance Moving was a broker company?). We were guaranteed a certain price per foot. Don't be deceived or gullible like we were. They will tell you the best case scenario like it's the exact truth. The experience has been nothing but terrible. The price to move increased 2 1/2 times the day of pick up (which we were assured would not happen because we signed up with a guaranteed price rate), the date we were told it would be delivered has been changed multiple time and we are still waiting for our furniture to be delivered. It's difficult to reach anyone and when you do finally connect with a person, no one knows anything. We would have been better off to sell everything and buy it new. I will never use either of these companies again.
The workers were on time
They were careful. They were conscientious. They were funny. The truck was loaded super quickly, even though we were living in a third floor walk up. And we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends, family, or complete strangers on Yelp. Thanks a ton, guys!
