  1. Liked it!

I received my stuff today in good condition. the price was very good. I was a little worried about the delay, turns out that I did not know the companies provide you with an estimated "period" not day. Highly recommended!

  2. Nightmare.

Mine was not the usual move. I was only getting things from my parent's house in ms to take to east tn. (540 miles) I contracted another company who contracted avl.AVL was suppose to show up on april 29, they end up coming 2 days before. They show up in a moving truck and load stuff at 5 in the evening. I have antiques on the truck, they didn't wrap much of my belongings but I had sensr to grab blankets and wrsp the china cabinet and secretary that both have a lot of glass. One of the drivers stunk so bad I haf to hold my nose.We called the number 3 to 4 weeks ago to bring our belongings, they show up last week on a sunday with 3 hours notice. Suppose to owe them 450 total. Driver tries to say 900. He calls and finds out I do owe 450. I have a money order for 450 for them. The driver refuses the money order says he can only take cash. I had to go to the grocery store to get a money order in the 1st placr because I was told that's what I had to have. Like I said this was on a Sunday banks and post office was closed. I tried 3 times to tell the driver it is a money order and your company said money orders were ok. I send my son to try and get the m o cashed. No luck. I go right in front of trailer park (where I live) and talk to sherriffs deputy,i turn to go back to trailer and whose coming out but the moving truck. I tell them to turn around and come back to house they say ok and take off. The officer comes to my house, I had the tag number and picture of the truck, they get pulled over but convince the officer they can only take cash.I have called for them to bring my things again, I was told they would call back with a date, time and of course a new price because of course somehow it's MY fault they don't take money orders.(now they are saying postal. M O are ok) I've called again and assured by mike thst he would call within 2 hours or atleast by end of day for date, time and price. That was 4 days ago. My fear is that I will get a 2 hour notice and they'll charge me a amount I can't come up with. And when I do get my antiques they will be trashed. I am a widow, me and my autistic son live on less than 1000 a month, We can't afford to do anything because of these people. This place is horrible, I should've just rented a u haul and moved the stuff myself.

  3. Nightmare!

I thought I was using an actual moving company and not brokers. That will teach me to do more homework. AVL contacted us to be ready to move 2 days earlier and then did not show or call. They were not reachable by the phone # they called from either. So we packed "everything"! We put our mattress in a bag and emptied our frig. We had to stay somewhere else until they finally showed up days later and even later than the time they promised that day. Like other customers we had to give them a cashiers check. They did not even have my inventory I provided the 1st Brokers. Let me explain that broker #1 took a bid to give our job to broker #2 who then sent our guys claiming to be from Relocation Services. Our belongings were loaded onto a Uhaul and driven away. In my gut I felt that it was not a good thing and I was right! We got to our destination and called about our delivery. This is where the real nightmare begins. They have your signature and then use it to tell you that you refused next day delivery and they have 21 days to make the delivery. During that time it was promise after promise from everyone involved that it was on it's way. Three weeks of sitting on beach chairs and sleeping on an air mattress was horrible. On the day of the delivery only 2 movers showed up dressed not to impress or represent their company. Our belongings were offloaded from a Penske truck. The heavy items were all damaged on the corners. They did not assemble anything as promided either. I signed more documents and was never given any copies. I am sure I signed off to say everything was delivered and in perfect condition. Oh, and they say when they arrive that it is going to cost more due to a "long haul" from truck to door. Bogus! And then they say that they will do it under the radar if we would tip them. I would not have wished this ordeal on my worst enemy. Use an actual moving company!

  4. Absolute Nightmare.

My moving experience has been an absolute nightmare.

I actually contracted with another mover who brokered my job to Angel Van Lines. Here are the highlights:

    * Started harassing me two days before my pick up window asking if they could come pick up. I wasn't ready.

*Finally showed up at 9:30pm the last day of my three day window. Didn't leave until 11pm. My neighbors were so angry with me.

*Two guys in street clothes and a Penske rental truck arrived. My friend and I loaded my belongings while one guy did paperwork and the other stayed in the truck.

*They NEVER weighed the truck. My move was by weight.

*Received a call from the owner the next day asking me how much my money order was for. I told him he should know that.

*Received a call two days later saying I owned $225 because my inventory was larger than what was estimated. I reminded them my job was by weight, not items. They seemed surprised every time I said this.

It's now been 45 days (!!) since pick up, and I STILL do not have my belongings. I don't even have an estimated delivery date.

    NIGHTMARE!

  5. Please RUN!! The WORST customer service ever.

Since you decided to send me an email urging that I provide feedback on my move, I will gladly oblige

I have been in the military and moved several time but this I would rate as the WORSE EVER. Their sales reps will promise the world to get your business but will disappear once you provide your deposit, and don’t believe the Quote they give you cause it will be the dispatcher who will charge you additional fees when your property gets picked up. I know this for a fact because after they had picked up my property from the storage unit they demanded that I pay the additional fee of Over $800 (The full cost) before they completed the move, if you happen to have any additional boxes that is not on your initial list trust that you will be charged, Trust if I knew that they would switch the price on me I would have switched my work start date and rented a truck and did it myself.

Their dispatcher PAUL is the worst (please believe apart from being Very rude, he’s the most unprofessional individuals I have dealt with). After getting the run around and feeling like I was about to get duped and conned (Since he provided a different bank account for me to make my second deposit, and was also the one switching the cost after I was guaranteed a price) I demanded to speak with a supervisor but was transferred to MIKE who I later found out was not a supervisor but a different dispatcher…. Not only was he rude he directed that my Cargo be off loaded and stored in their warehouse and demanded that I make full payment before my household good was delivered..

The driver that actually moved my property were professional and its so sad that they have to work with such and UNPROFESSIONAL back office, especially their useless dispatchers. After the sales agents had gotten my deposit and assuring me that they would be my moving coordinator I couldn’t reach them, I had to use someone’s else’s phone to call and then they picked up.

PLEASE use another moving company if you can, its not worth the headache, if there were negative ratings I would give this company a -4 (Negative four stars)..and I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone.

  6. Nothing Angelic about these movers!!

    DO NOT USE BEWARE!!

Moved my mother, Nothing but a group of Thugs that broke and ruined her furniture and were absolutely disastrous through the whole process. Would not recommend to anyone. These people are not reputable and I would stay clear away, DO NOT BELIEVE their promises.

  7. Angel Van Lines AKA Scam Artists -run for your life if they call.

The absolute worst experience I have ever had.. they don;t even deserve one star.

Pick up was to be during a three day window. Wednesday thru Friday. Friday was the absolute last day because my house had sold and possession was at closing. On Thursday I was told that the driver would be at my house Friday between 2 and 5. That of course made me nervous because I had a full house of furniture and my city code did not allow trucks of any nature to be on the street on on the driveway after 1AM. I was calling the office to get an update but no one answered the phone. At 5PM the driver called and said he was on the way. At 9PM no one had arrived. I was calling frantically both the office and the dirver, At 9 I was told the driver was still on the way. Of course, no one showed up. I did reach the driver the next morning and he said he told Angel Van Lines that since it was a holiday weekend he could not find help and was not going to be able to pick my things up. Thus, I spent the next day finding another carrier and had to pay a premium because of the late notice, When I called to request that my $2500 deposit be refunded, I was told that per their investigation, the driver showed up and I cancelled on the spot. This was the biggest lie I have ever had a company fabricate. Totally fraudulent company running scams. Stay away, You will regret it.

  8. Horrible!

All pieces of our furniture were damaged, mattresses ripped. Customer service is a joke. They will call you on REPEAT until you answer. Slow. This company is a joke. Find a better one!

  9. Relocation from Louisiana to Texas.

One of the worst experiences of our lives! Angel Van Lines lied about every single thing they sold us. My husband and I set up a corporate move (to include full packing, moving, and temporary storage) from New Orleans to Dallas in June. We were told that their licensed/ professional drivers would pick up out items on June 30th, move them to their privately owned storage facility, where our things would be stored in the trailer they were picked up in, and then delivered to us at the beginning of September in the Dallas area. They sold out move to a third party company, who was late for pick up and deliver, brought only medium home depot boxes with unprofessional packers, moved out things to several storage locations, and lost and damaged our items.

Christopher Johnson sold us the move, and was unable to be reached after the contract was sign. We were able to get a hold of Ed sporadically, however, he was unable to do anything, as ALB Moving now had possession of our things.

The packers were supposed to come on June 30th to pack out things, then they were to return to move on July !st. No one ever called the night before, and we could not get in touch with anyone. The first "packers" showed up to our house at 4:30 pm on July 1st with men who didn't even work for the company. They were asked last minute to come help with our job. The truck did not arrive until 7:30 am on July 2nd. The majority of our things had to be packed on the 2nd, and we did a large amount of the packing and moving ourselves.

After 2 months of storage, and no info on where our belongings were stored, our items were to be delivered to our home. We called a month in advance, 3 weeks in advance, 2 weeks in advance, one week in advance. We were continually assured that out things would be delivered on September 3rd. One hour before the delivery window on Saturday, September 3rd, we were called and informed that our things would not be delivered until the following Tuesday!?! After many conversations, arguments, and broken promises, our things were finally delivered on Thursday, September 8th. My husband had to leave work to be there. Once they arrived, they had the audacity to ask where our helpers were to unload the truck!

A couple in Louisiana called us the weekend before delivery informing up that they had one of our boxes. It had a bunch of my husbands hunting stuff, and fortunately and old dog collar with his phone number. The moving company insisted that this was impossible, but that family still has our stuff, and is missing much of theirs! I don't understand how either of these companies is allowed to continue conducting business!

  10. Extortion.

I set up my move with North American Relocation. Two days before my scheduled move I get a call from them upping my poundage by 2,200 lbs and collecting another $1,000 deposit. The day before my move I get a call from Raphael from Angel Van Lines telling me they would pick up on Monday, not Sunday, so my furniture wouldn't sit for 2 days during the move. I was also quoted another $2,547 upon pick up. The furniture was supposed to be weighed after pick up. My furniture was not delivered as promised and when I asked how much I would owe upon delivery Rafael said I would still owe another $2,547 saying they did not weigh the truck because my stuff filled the 26' truck and it would cost me more if they weighed it. Upon delivery I discovered the truck was only 3/4 full of my stuff meaning I should have been charged less.

I could not reach Rafael by phone or e-mail. Their e-mail account does not exist. When I contacted North American Relocation they argued with me and told me to go ahead and contact the Texas Attorney General. I've since contacted my bank to dispute the charges from North American Relocation because Angel Van Lines required cash payment.

I have already filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General against North American Relocation and I'm in the process of filing an extortion complaint against Angel Van Lines.

Additionally, I was told my rate would not be more than $5,221 (I have it in writing) but ended up being charged $7,535.

  11. Totally destroyed our stuff and tried to hide it.

We set up our move with allied van lines in plenty of time paid them a deposit of over a 1000.00 dollars. they kept asking for more money, they were suppose to be there on the 29th of July 2016 to move our stuff from Pratt ks. to Ofallon il. the driver called on the 28th of July at 9:00pm to tell us he would be there in an hour to load our stuff, we asked why he was coming at night and was suppose to wait till the next day, he said I am busy and if I cannot pick it up now then I cannot guarantee you when I can come and get it, he showed up and loaded till three thirty in the morning and said we would need to be there at the destination by 3:00 pm Friday afternoon, I told him that would not happen because we had not had any sleep, he said I will call you at noon on Friday and give you an update, he sent a text message and said he was running late and would be there about five, we made it and called to see where he was and he said he would be running late and ended up changing his arrival time three more times, we got a text saying to be there at 9;00 pm we arrived at 845 to find him already in the storage facility and already had the trailer half unloaded, when we saw the brand new refrigerator come off the truck and totally destroyed he said it must have hit the side of the trailer, we told him he was going to have to bring the stuff back out of the storage unit so we could see what else was damaged and he said you will have to pay me and my crew and we do not have time, the temp service guys started bringing stuff to us, telling us it was damaged, and that it was wrong that the driver did not want them to tell us, needless to say at 130 am on Saturday morning we pretty much had come to the conclusion that everything we owned was destroyed, we paid this company over 6000.00 to move our stuff we had it all packed and labeled when they got there only to destroy everything and would not even answer our calls or return our calls I would like to have this issue resolved and even get my money returned for the move. Otherwise I would like to see this company go out of business before they ruin any one elses lives.

  12. Scammed by Angel Van Lines.

I am writing this to caution others to be very careful. I was conned by what I now believe is a nonexistent company.

I spoke to Thomas Jones (phone number 972-249-0965) on the telephone approximately month before my scheduled move date. I was given a quote of $1,585 for my move, which included 30 days of free storage to give me time to find an apartment in my new city, and completion of the move including setup of all furniture. He said the company would also be able to drop off whichever of my belongings I needed at my temporary residence before storing the remainder.

The binding contract emailed to me gave a pickup date of June 24-25 with a commitment that contact from the movers would be 24-48 hours before pickup. Thomas said "I'll be with you every step of the way" and I gave a $302 deposit.

    Information about carrier:

    Angel Van Lines
    5787 South Hampton Road
    Dallas, TX 75235
    Phone: 1-972-249-0965 Fax: 754-701-1105
    DOT # 2112597 MC# 735438

I not contacted by movers during the set time period. In a panic, I emailed Thomas (thomas@yourcarrierquote.com http://angelvanlines.com) on the 25th. His response was "Debra, Im writing you from home you don't have anything to worry about we will take care of you. Our reputation is on the line!"

When I reached a dispatcher (Rafael) at the company on the 25th, he was not aware of the scheduled pickup date. Rafael said they wouldn't be able to pick up until June 28 (one day after I was leaving to drive across country for my move). Additionally, he said they would not be able to provide storage, I would need to find my own storage, and they would therefore be unable to complete the move and set up my furniture. I would have to hire another company to do that.

I asked a friend to wait at my apartment from 4pm to 7pm on the 28th. The the movers never showed. When I attempted to reach Rafael, I was placed on hold and after 10 minutes I hung up and dialed again. I received a message that the mailbox was full. Rafael did not call me again.

After the June 25 email response from Thomas Jones, I did not hear from him again. None of my subsequent emails or phone calls were returned.

On June 27th, I gave up, accepted that I had lost $302, and am now dealing with the costs associated with last minute moving.
