  1. Do Not Use Elite Moving & Storage, or Mosley Van Lines !!

I set up a move from Vermont to NY, and did all the packing - needing a company to just move boxes and furniture to a NY storage unit. Three calls to itemize the home occurred - all sounded ok until the day they were supposed to arrive. I got a late call telling me they couldn't come due to weather. The next day, they showed up, short-staffed, only 2 men (supposed to be 4) to move an entire house, and one had been flown in from California the day before (strange story and something didn't add up immediately). They showed up in a rented Budget truck which was too small - my first realization that Elite was a broker, with Mosley Van Lines the mover. One man was fired mid-day for talking to us because we asked if he would drive a second truck if we rented one so that we could move everything that day. We knew and the foreman knew our whole house could not fit in one truck. The foreman called the main office, complained about the worker negotiating with us, and fired him. But, he needed to finish the day to get his pay. As you can imagine, he cared little about our furnishings thereafter. An upright cabinet fell sideways and cracked in half. A piano was moved with the wood front down. Furniture was hap-hazardly stacked. We had an extension ladder that we told them needed to go in early, as it just barely would fit in the truck. It didn't go in early - and we were told we couldn't take it as it wouldn't fit in later in the day. The storage unit closed at 9pm in New York - but still moving furniture into the 2nd truck at 7pm (agreed to by the company if we paid for the truck rental, the gas, paid the driver, tips, and an extra stipend to the company - another $2000+ added on at the last minute). We had no choice as we had a 4-5 hour drive ahead of us, and had to move this day due to a pending house closing. After calling the NY storage unit owner to let us in at midnight, they started to unload. The foreman decided to take a nap while the 2 workers started to unload - roughly moving the furniture and throwing boxes without regard to the "fragile" signs on them. The next day, the manager called Mosley Van Lines to complain about the damage to the storage facility walls, floor gouges, and storage unit damages (you wouldn't believe the pictures). They also left mounds of garbage in the parking lot. Mosley Van Lines took no responsibility for the damage or clean-up, and no reimbursement to storage facility for repairs. Elite took no accountability for Mosley, brokered to do the move. Since then, it has only gotten worse - Mosley Van Lines has stopped paying on the storage unit, even though they have my credit card. My unit is going to be put up for auction if I don't pay for the storage, back payments, and late fees that I was unaware were being incurred until the storage facility called to advise me of the pending auction. Both companies refuse to return my calls - and Mosley Van Lines won't answer the phone now, and the mailbox is full. They hung up on the Storage Facility trying to get payment for my units. Mosley refused to put the storage unit in my name when the Storage Facility asked them to do so. A breach in contract exists, in addition to the lack of payment, as they were supposed to move the contents of the storage facility into my new home as part of the contract. This doesn't include the anticipated significant damage to my possessions when we do unload the storage unit. I can't even contact Elite Moving & Storage, nor Mosley Van Lines now as they don't return messages. Both companies are unscrupulous, corrupt, and do not have any level of ethical behaviors as a business entity. It is now in the hands of my lawyer. DO NOT USE ELITE MOVING & STORAGE (they are a broker and do not stand behind their sub-contractors)! DO NOT USE MOSLEY VAN LINES - unprofessional, fly by night, highly suspicious workers who do not care about your things! Beware and avoid the stress, added on expenses, and lack of quality moving practices!

  2. Arizona to Chicago.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. This by far was the worse experience I ever had. This company pitches a good sale but when it comes to delivery, they lie steal and don't deliver. I was quoted one price then to be told at time of pick up price was doubling when I was ready to leave for moving out of state. They got you! With nowhere to turn at that point you are stuck with these liars and cheaters. Then to be told I would receive my things in 2 weeks, that was a real joke. I didn't receive my damaged missing items for 10 weeks into my move across country back to Chicago. No bed, no clothes nothing. Don't bother calling them either because you will only get frustrated and make yourself sick over this. Also, Jennifer the salesperson will pitch you a line like she is selling you her heart and soul-don't fall for it. She is a SCAM ARTIST! They either put you on permanent hold or just tell you the truck is in route. This by far was the worse move ever! This company should be shut down! How the BBB could allow such fraud is beyond me!

  3. Elite Movers. Las Vegas.

This was the best experience I've ever had with a moving company!! Excellent in every way. Very professional and courteous about everything I wanted done. Took the time to alleviate my fears about getting everything packed and secured on the truck. Brought adequate crew and supplies to complete the job. Explained every aspect of the job and took the time to keep reassuring me that everything would work out just the way I wanted and needed. Outstanding job!

  4. My Daughter's Cross Country Move.

I was on outside looking in. Showed up with large box truck, told them right off bat, not big enough. I helped her move 3 times within state, I knew what it took! 1st Red Flag. Had to come back next day with half full truck barely got items to fit. Quote doubled immediately. 2nd Red Flag. Workers were awesome, we knew it was procedure, as far as movers go. Delivery was on time, BUT, items were broke. 5 Sterlite Totes missing, one containing the cushion covers to her $3,000.00 couch. Called them & was told investigation would begin, no word yet. Their insurance only pays 16
Cents a l#. Why can't the call delivery before & after hers??. Very little concern was expressed . I don't believe she read these reviews. Very bad experience for her even though she would have never written bad review This was move in April 2017, very recent.

  5. Dont use this company.

I would have to say that the first start off was good and the pickup was good the movers did take care of my stuff as far as I could see. The problem came as to getting my stuff delivered they pick up my stuff on the 3rd of march and it the 20th of march and still no delivery or call , and they say it was a hold up ok what does that do for me I've paid rent on a place that I can't even live in so money went down the drain. I would not tell anyone to use this company for anything. And yes the price that I got was not the price I paid it was 600.00 more than I was quoted to pay. Still waiting on my stuff.my original quote was 1100.00 then it went to 1602.00.

  6. Absolute worst moving company ever!!

This company is THE ABSOLUTE WORST moving company ever!! DO NOT USE THIS AWFUL MOVING COMPANY!! THEY ARE THE WORST!! TOTAL RIP-OFF!!
Elite moving company located in Las Vegas, Nevada cannot be anything further from elite!! This moving company is the worst; repeat the ABSOLUTE WORST moving company in the USA. They made our cross-country move absolutely horrific!! These people trick you with a polite sales person and then they screw you royally!! They lie, cheat, steal, damage and destroy!! They picked up my goods for a cross-country move & caused damage to my home on that day. I did not hear from them for several weeks. I called and asked where my possessions’ were? I was told they were in an undisclosed storage facility still waiting to be picked up for transit. Really?? I was told I would be informed when they were in transit and be given 2 days notice when the goods were to arrive. Over 6 weeks later, I was finally called on a Sunday night at 8pm and they said they would be there 10am the next morning. I had explained to them over & over, (beginning with my first call – the first mistake) that I was moving into a condo and had to notify the building when I would be moving in. The cost was more than double the estimated price and I was over charged for the packing materials. (They could not provide me with a breakdown of those costs either.) They held all our stuff hostage and we had to pay cash or postal money only before they unloaded the goods. But they took my debit card when they picked up the goods. Hmmm… Upon arrival a significant amount of our belongings were broken, damaged and/or destroyed by this terrible so-called moving company. They dismantled and packed our bedroom set which has chunks gashed out of the wood and there are about 14 “extra” screws when they put it back together. They broke glass, which they had packed that belonged to antique piano. (Dirty footprint right across the cardboard.) Boxes of clothing and towels reek of a disgusting stink and many of the boxes were stained appearing as if they had gotten wet. The overpriced wardrobe boxes, which I purchased from them, were crushed and one was sliced ruining most of the clothing in it not to mention the ghastly stench!! Now there is the issue of missing boxes… one with audiovisual devices & components, another with a game console and several others. When you call, you get personnel who are misinformed and don’t have any clue as to what’s going on. They do not assist, are neither interested nor concerned because they have already conned you and it’s too late!! If you plan to use this company, please think again. Moving can be very stressful but these people just add insult to injury. I don’t have any idea how they stay in business and they should all be ashamed of themselves for treating customers the way they do!!

Look at all the negative reviews!! It's mind-boggling that this company is still in business!!

  7. Reading the Fine Print Will Not Save You.

Upon having recently finished my dealings with Elite, I can safely say that even though people tell you to read the fine print, this is a company where doing so will not make the experience any better. To start, DO NOT, under any circumstances believe the quote they initially give you. My fiancé and I were originally quoted $1400 at the beginning of the process, so we made sure to save at least $1800, just in case, and it was a good thing we did. On the day of pickup, the foreman showed us the space we would be having in the truck and it was unrealistically small, especially considering that we told them in advance that we were coming from a large 1-bedroom apartment, and they guaranteed us that the space they quoted us for would be enough. It also did not help that we were constantly badgered for a tip before they were even done with the work.

Outside of that, the services themselves, in terms of disassembling and properly packing and moving our things, were exceptional, and we were impressed with the speed in which the job was completed. Unfortunately, our quote jumped up due to things such as an extra elevator fee that they charge you, as well as something called a "long carry" fee. They also charged for something as simple as how much tape they used, which is something we confirmed several times up front that that would be included in our price we pay, not something charged after the fact. (Thankfully we budgeted for this ahead of time.) We were able to pay them half of the amount up front, and off our things went.

We put our first date of delivery as April 29th, and we received a call on May 3rd saying that our things had left the warehouse en route to us. We then received another call on May 12th from the driver who would be delivering our things, stating that we would be receiving our goods the next day (May 13th) between 12 PM and 4 PM. Due to another customer before us, he ended up running late, but luckily we were the last customers of the day and he made sure to keep us updated on the situation via phone. Upon his arrival, we were charged another large elevator fee and “long carry” fee unexpectedly, even though the elevator was closer to our delivery apartment than our situation at pickup. Outside of that headache, the delivery was nice, and it was another speedy job. As luck would have it, all of our belongings were accounted for and for the most part unharmed, with the exception of our dresser, bookshelf, and IKEA bed, which they blamed on them being “pressed wood”. Don’t blame the customer for wanting nice, inexpensive furniture, blame the company who simply could’ve handled it better.

In total, our amount jumped to a little over $2300 from the original $1400 we were promised. We read the fine print backwards and forwards and STILL got screwed. My advice to anyone doing a cross-state move? Go with someone like U-Haul. They may charge more, but you’ll have much more piece of mind, great communication, a quoted price they will stick to, you’ll be able to track your things, and you even get to choose the date and time of day they deliver it (for those who need accommodation for work schedules, etc). If you can’t go with U-Haul, then my second piece of advice would be to do your research in advance, as much of it as you can. This is something I can’t stress enough. Elite takes advantage of those who don’t have a large timeframe to move, and they bait and switch you with their “quotes” and hidden fees. Pay attention to the other reviews of similar experiences to my own and save yourself the immense headache.

  8. Double the price and damaged goods.

I was charged almost double what I was quoted by the sales person and I actually measured all items as we were doing the quote. I ended up selling a few of the larger items that were on the quote and ended up leaving things because I could not afford to put them on the truck. The delivery men just kept saying my things must be larger then industry standards?? But they have you were they want you at the point so you have no other options but to pay. They then called weeks later and told me they don't deliver to where I relocated and would have to pay for a shuttle service. I finally got them to deliver my things and when they arrived hours after they said they would be there I was told they had had a blow out and it set them behind. They must not have had my items tied in properly so during this blow much of my items were destroyed including my entire dining room set and an l
irreplaceable antique dresser handed down to me. I was so upset as they were unpacking all my smashed items but they just kept saying not to worry to make a claim and it would all be replaced. I just got the the insurance notice back and they are going to give me $168! Really, worst experience and biggest rip offs!

  9. Over Charged And no Delievery as of Yet.

This company has been the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Shame on me for not doing my homework. Also shame on Jennifer for being such a LIAR!. How can this company stay in Business? I still have not rec'd my goods. It will be 30 days soon and I actually am going to hire an attorney to sue this company. PLEASE

  10. Beware!!

BEWARE!!  From start to finish this was the most unpleasant experience I have ever encountered!  Quote was way off and when they got to home to pack they said it was going to be nearly double what was quoted.  There was confusion at time of first payment and they held up our household items so we finally received part of our shipment in 22 days.  The moving people that unloaded were a joke!  They were throwing things around with no consideration of damage!  They did not set anything up and just dumped everything in the middle of the livingroom.  Boxes were missing and they were the most expensive items that we were shipping like jewelery and a baseball card collection.  Very unprofessional and totally lacking any customer service skills.  Stay away from this poor excuse for a moving company!!

  11. Worst company ever.

The only reason they are getting one star is because I am not able to give them zero.  Do not make the same mistake I did and use this company.  They are misleading and do not care about their customers.  They say they tell you upfront about all their fees however when explaining the extra cost they make it seem like you will not have to worry about it.  They gave me a $100 credit In packing expenses to cover the cost of wrapping my 2 Queen mattresses Dining room table and chair set as well as my TV's.  I was told that the credit would completely cover those expenses and I would have plenty left over for anything else I wanted them to do.  Well I didn't end up brining my mattresses or table and chair set and with my packing credit when they showed up they said it was going to cost over $700 in packing fees.  Mind you I packed all my own boxes they decided to pack my smaller boxes in to larger ones to "save on room".  I called the office to advise my dissatisfaction and to suggest they are more honest about these fees in the future as I felt completely mis-led (even the packers said 9 time out of 10 when they show up to a job site the people are completely caught off guard). When I talked to the person in the office he was completely rude, unprofessional and advised it was my fault I didn't understand and that the person I talked to would never say $100 would cover my packing fees.  At that point I had to be out of my place by the next day so I had no other choice then to use this company.  I asked the Person in charge to pull my original phone call and listen to it and call me back that was on July 18th.  I tried calling the person the following week to see if he heard my call and to see when my stuff would be delivered.  Rather than talk to me he told the person on the phone to tell me to overnight a check (another fee) and my stuff would be on the next truck out. That call was made in July my date of delivery was Aug 1st.  When I called back two days later to ensure my stuff was on the truck I was advised they were not able to tell me that information.   I continued to call the company to speak to the person in charge and each time I called he refused my phone call saying he would not call me back.  10 days after I was supposed to receive my stuff I called again and refused to hang up.  I held on the phone for 30 min before being hung up on. when I called back I told them I no longer wanted to speak to the person I was dealing with I wanted the person above him.  I again was placed on hold for 30 min and then was hung up on. Later that day I finally received a phone call back from the company the man I was dealing with played back my original phone call where you could clearly hear the sales person tell me the credit he was giving me would be more than enough to cover the packing expenses. Even though that was stated they refused to budge and said he also read me their standard packing fee agreement.  Although when he read the agreement he told me he had to..If someone tells you the credit they are giving you is going to cover it and then says they have to read the agreement  what does that lead you to believe??  It was clear they were not interested in anything I had to say.  When I asked about my stuff they said they were not sure when I would receive it.. they quote up to 10 business days how ever in very tiny print its says not guaranteed.  I am going on 19 day after my stuff was supposed to be delivered and I still have not received a phone call on where my stuff is.  The company is a complete joke.  They have great customer service skill until they get your business then to try and get any information out of them or to have them help you in anyway they act as if you are a bother and not worth their time.   NO ONE should use this company. .

  12. Buyer Beware.

DO NOT do business with this company!!  Any moving company that does not come out to view your inventory to give you an accurate quote is not reputable!!  Jennifer was very persistent to get me to sign with Elite, once I did, she was very hard to reach.  I planned 8 months ahead, paid a deposit, about a month prior I had to change my day of pick up by 3 days, when I called to change, they said NO.  After practically begging, they were able to "squeeze me in".  I was told I would be called on 5/26 to be told if they would be picking me up on 5/27 or 5/28, they called on 5/26 to tell me they had to come that day or I would have to wait a week, which I could not do since I needed to be out of my house by 5/29..crew showed up, said packing and cost to move would be much higher since  underbid..didn't get a call until 13 days later for delivery, truck showed up, my boxes damaged, stuff broken, truck packed horribly, stuff mixed with another move, poor truck driver got the truck packed that way And pretty much had to unpack and repack the truck again to get my stuff out!!  The "packing"I paid so much for, not one box marked as to what is in it.. Ridiculous!!  I feel like I was made a fool of and robbed blind.. Do not make the same mistake I made!!

  13. Charges triple, late, many damaged items.

Horrible! Do not use Elite Storage of Vegas! They over charged cubic feet and they extras here and there. 750cft cost $5,000! They had 30 days to deliver and were still 20 days late! Horrible customer service - no answers, didn't know where the driver was, never returned calls then. Boxes were ripped, smashed, WET, items inside broken - table legs broken, lamps broken, end tables broken - they didn't even deliver to the door - they wanted an extra $600! In order to retrieve belongings had to bring cash or check! Insurance company they use is a fraud too! They want developed prints of damaged goods and all these forms printed off and sent. Again do not use - run, rent a Uhaul, but run from theses guys! Elite Moving out of Las Vegas sucks!

  14. Household Move across several states.

This company is a complete fraud and they are looking to take advantage of you!   Protect yourself!!  Do a few simple searches and you will find more than enough evidence to support this fact!  They stole from us, destroyed literally all of our belongings, and threw our belonging in the dirt while they rummaged through them.

They refuse to help us with the mess that they have created and have not contacted us with any concern at all.

  15. Not So Elite Moving and Storage.

My experience with Elite Moving and Storage started out wonderfully. The representative that I dealt with was very persistent, which is partly why I had decided to go with this company. Jennifer was very friendly on the phone, and seemed very knowledgeable when I was speaking with her. It wasn't until after I paid my $100 deposit, and my move date was getting close, that the experience began to change. I no longer was able to deal with the initial customer service representative that had handled my quote, and the customer service representatives that helped me over the phone showed an entirely different side to the company. The first time I called with questions, the representative that assisted me was extremely rude and completely unhelpful. I simply had questions about my pickup date and the cost of the move, which albeit had been included in my welcome email; I just had some clarifying questions to ask, which have still remained unanswered to this day. I was completely blown away by how unhelpful they were after I had already paid my deposit - I was tempted to cancel with Elite and go with another company, but unfortunately by this point it was much too late for me to get another moving company. Just before the move I was awaiting a confirmation call to confirm the date for pickup. Initially I was told that the confirmation call would come 3 business days prior to pickup. My pickup was scheduled for Sunday, December 7th, so I was expecting a call by the Wednesday before. That call never came. I attempted to contact Elite, at which time I was rudely informed that I would receive my confirmation call that coming Friday by no later than 4pm, and to not call them again because they don't have any information about my pickup. What they didn't clarify at that point was that it would be 4pm Pacific time, not Mountain Time. Because of the lack of confirmation until close to 6pm my local time, this was a very stressful, wondering whether my move was going to be happening that weekend or not. On the day of my move, the personnel were very prompt, arriving only 15 minutes after the quoted time-frame began. The time-frame was between 3-7pm, the driver arrived by 3:15. My move was a very small one ( I was moving out of a nearly empty studio apartment), though for some reason it took the movers close to 3 hours to load the truck. During the initial quote process, I was quoted approximately 150 cubic feet at $6 per cubic foot, which was estimated at approximately $1050. However, when the movers arrived and loaded my items, they realized it was going to take up more space than was originally thought. This somewhat confused me, considering I had removed several items from my move, including a full size bed and box spring. To me, by removing items from the move, my items should have taken up less space than was quoted. My guess is that the quote was highly underestimating the amount of space my items would take on the truck. Because of this oversight, the cost of my move was doubled from $1050 to nearly $2150. Within that amount I was charged $75 because my apartment was on the 2nd floor. They included 12 stairs in the cost, but my flight had 13 steps so I was charged the differential, plus an additional $62.50 because the front door to my apartment was an additional 7 feet more than the 75 feet included. After my items were picked up, I was told that I would receive my delivery within 5-7 business days. It was 15 business days, 22 actual days before I received my belongings. The people that delivered my items arrived exactly when they said they would, after I finally got my confirmation call the day before my delivery. Many of my items seemed to be damaged when the took them off of the truck, and I am missing at least one box. The boxes were in a deplorable condition, nearly every single one of them smashed, bulging, and open, and the contents within many of my boxes were shattered. The driver himself admitted that the items on the truck sometimes are handled without any concern for the items they hold. To me, this seems highly disrespectful and unprofessional. In the end, I would never, ever go with Elite Moving again. I think next time I will save a little money, work a little harder, and rent a U-Haul to move myself.
