  1. Easy movers.

This was really the best experience I ever had with a moving company. I always wait to the last minute to do anything and I really do not mean to but time gets away from me and besides I hate packing and moving. Good team movers were professional, understanding and very organized. They were on time to move me and arrived early to unload me all with a smile! Thank you good team for making this very easy for me without breaking my pockets :-).

  2. Terrible experience.

I would absolutely rate this company negative stars if it were possible.  Not only were they 3 days late on picking up the furniture, but it took them TWO WEEKS to deliver the furniture, when it was supposed to take only 4 days. Trying to contact the company was another nightmare in itself, as no one would call back with any information regarding where my furniture was or when it would be arriving to Florida.  Upon arrival, my $2000 mattress was soaking wet and covered with mold and mildew.  My mattress is ruined and I now need a new one.  After raising his voice and using profanities, Michael, the manager, was very unprofessional in handling the situation and offered no solution.  I STRONGLY caution anyone who is considering using this company. .

  3. Good Team Movers -- Buyer Beware!!

Dear Potential Customer:   If you value your property, under no circumstances should you include this company on your long list.  In fact, I would recommend that you do not waste any of your precious time even considering Good Team Movers because in my opinion, they are the antithesis of a respectable, professional and quailty moving company. Needless to say, I am very regretful that as an intelligent business consumer, I allowed myself to be taken by these pathetic amateurs masquerading as legitimate business people.  It is my goal to ensure nobody else falls victim to their unscrupulous business practices.  My experience is that they under bidded the work, then proceeded to overcharge for the job once they knew my choices were limited due to a tight timeliine.  Additionally, they sent a Penske truck that did not hold all the contents of my household.  This faux pas occurred despite my having painstakingly gone over my items with Crystal.  To add insult to injury, they proceeded to bust the leg on a $800 Queen Anne chair, break a floor lamp, break my table, scratch my brass lamps due to improper packing and soil my queen mattress set so bad that I had to have them professionally cleaned despite my having paid $120 extra for mattress pad covers.  The so-called manager, Michael had the unmitigated gall to offer a paltry $70 for all the damage they caused to my furniture.  That reimbursement suggestion occurred after countless email correspondences and verbal conversations.  Yet, after five months of waiting, I haven't received a single dime. I did file a BBB complaint and wanted to ensure I posted warning messages on the bulletin boards as well.  Please note that the BBB rating of an F is completely justifiable.  Do not, I repeat do not fall for the sham that the F rating is ascribed only because they have not submitted the business paperwork because it is indeed a complete and utter lie.

  4. My experience with this company.

Good Team Movers, based out of Florida, moved my family from PA to NJ. PLEASE do not hire this company. They sent two men to move us when they should have sent four men. We had a 3,400 sq. foot house packed with heavy furniture. They struggled to complete our move.
This company overcharged us. The amount was enough to cover a packing service plus moving furniture. They only moved the furniture for this fee.
And, the worst part is the damage to our furniture. Nicks in the wood, scrapes, wood pieces chipped off. Not just one or two pieces. I should have filed a claim, and it is probably too late. But, not too late to warn any potential customers. Don't hire this company if you value your furniture. P.S. The movers were not professional either. It was not a good experience.   Tina Kelly.

  5. The Best Movers.

We just had a very good experience with Good Team Movers, the salespersons Crystal and Rebecca were very nice and both took the time to go over everything with me and really made me feel comfortable over the other companies that were calling me, nobody really explained the move . They picked up on time and delivered around the same time I requested it and without any broken pieces so I have to say these guys really stay true to their word and performed excellently and within my budget. Lucky for the guys it was a pretty nice day out and they worked very fast and were very meticulous in wrapping my furniture with the blankets to prevent scratches which I had not seen before but was definitely a good thing. Very happy and definitely recommend them.

  6. Absolutely supeerb!

I have been working in the customer service/sales area for over 20 years, I know when its good and I know when its bad. Good Team Movers was absolutely supeerb! The attention to detail that Sergio displayed was comforting. The foremen reinforced all that was promised and made mw feel that I was getting a fair deal for the move, fantastic work fellas, two thumbs up.

  7. Do NOT use this Moving company.

If I could give this company no stars I would! I moved from New Jersey to Florida this month and I got in touch with Good Team Movers about 3 months before my move. The sales person asked me how many boxes I would have and what furniture I would be bring with me. I explained that most of my furniture was already in my home in Florida but my move would consist of mostly boxes and a Queen size matress. but there was no way I could guess how many boxes I would have since I had not started packing yet. I was quoted a move for $900. and told to contact them before the move to update inventory.
I called several days before the move and updated my inventory and my qoute was 1700. Still sounded like a reasonable price. The movers were suppose to come Sat, July 14th but I received a phone call the Tuesday before my move asking if they could come that day to pick up I explained I was not ready plus I needed my matress until I had to get out of my place. I was asked if I would go to Walmart and buy a blow up mattress so they could come and pick up my things. I said I am not staying in my place without all of my things and a blow up Matress for 5 days. Disbatch sounded annoyed but went along with it. The Friday before my move I was called telling me instead of Sat they would be at my place on Sunday. I said ok but thought how unproffesional! Saturday the driver of the truck called me and asked if he could park in front of my home I said yes that should be no problem. But what he FORGOT to add was that he was driving an 18 wheeler! Also I called the company and asked if I was responsible for packing my TV's or would the movers I was told to WRAP them so I did.
Sunday came and the movers showed up sometime in the afternoon with an 18 wheeler that of course could not get to my house. and I was told I was being charged an EXTRA 350 for a long haul. I said no one told me that and the driver said well I asked you yesterday. I said you never told me the size of the truck you were driving and I certainly do not have enough stuff to fill an 18 wheeler. The driver and myself go into a verbal disagreement when he stormed off and started his truck getting ready to leave without taking my things. Meanwhile I had a plane ticket for the following Tuesday to head to Florida. I had to BEG the driver to come back to my home and was forced to pay the extra fee. I was also told that he would not take the TV's unless they were boxed I explained that I was told to wrap them. But once again I was forced to pay 130 for 2 boxes for my Tv's that I could have bought at a packing store for 10 bucks a piece. the pick up day was so aggravating I couldn't wait till it was over!
The truck arrived in Florida 5 days later and of course it could not get close to my home. So another 350 to bring the stuff into my home. The boxes look like they ran them over with a pick up truck. Some so damaged they had to tape them up at the curb because they could not life them without my things falling out. I was just happy to get my things in my home and get rid of this moving company once and for all. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO EDUCATE ANYONE THAT IS MOVING TO STAY AWAY THEY ARE CROOKS!

  8. Pleasantly Surprise!

We had a very good experience with these folks.  We were concerned as we had not heard of them but we simply could not afford to have one of the big name companies move us. They were professional, they were thorough, they were good but the biggest thing I was impressed with was the speed. The same guys who picked us up in New Jersey were the same guys dropping us off in Miami 2 days later.  I don't know if that is the usual turnaround time but these folks don't dilly dally around. The movers spoke fluent English that was a pleasant surprise. I definitely would use them again.    .

  9. Easy and Painless Move.

We had to get from Florida to Delaware on pretty short notice. We spoke to a few companies and then we got a call from Sean at Good Team. They were professional, asked us a lot of questions and we told them everything we planned on moving. Sean made an actual inventory list and sent that along with the quote. Everything looked good so we booked with them. We initially liked Sean, by far the most informative of anyone we spoke with.
We did not hear a lot from the movers before the move but we got our call a day ahead and they showed up on time. The driver and foreman could not have been nicer to us. We were expecting some day labor types as we were skeptics but both of these gentlemen had been with the company a long time, one of them over 10 years. You can see the difference in the way they go about the move. They were efficient and quick. The best part was the turnaround time and we were able to get our thing from Florida to Delaware inside of 4 days. I would recommend them based solely on the speed of how they handle things. We were very happy with the move.

  10. This Good Team was Great!

Like many other Americans in the last few years, our home was under water and we ended up in foreclosure.  We were trying to relocate thru my wife's work and were set to go until the movers we were instructed to use could not show up.  I looked for help on the Internet to find someone who could help us last minute and that is when I got a call from Sean at Good Team.     I told Sean about our situation and he was very understanding.  Good Team is the actual moving company and he had a truck to our house within a day.  We needed full packing and they came in and packed us up.  We didn't have a place to live yet down in Florida but Good Team went ahead and stored all of our things until we could secure a new home down in Florida.     I think a lot of companies could have taken advantage of the fact we were over a barrel with our first moving company falling through at the last minute.  Sean was patient with us from start to finish.  I can't do them justice in this one review but they really are a Mom n Pop company and we were amazed they got our things down to Florida so fast.  We actually were not ready for delivery so they held our stuff for about a week while we hunted for a place to live.   The movers were professional, they can pack every inch of a truck, they wrapped all our furniture and made sure they specially wrapped things like the TV.  The other company we were supposed to use was one of the major carriers and they had quoted us close to $5,000. Good Team knew the company was paying for this and could have probably padded their fees a little bit but obviously they didn't.  The move ended up only costing $3,000 and we had a 3 bedroom home with a den and plenty of furniture.     Save yourself a lot of time and aggravation, this is a terrific company and I would recommend them to anyone.  .

  11. Nice people good service.

I was really happy with good team movers on my move a few weeks back. the salesman mike went over everything in terms that I understood instead of moving mumbo jumbo and even called me after the move to see how the movers did and that's when he asked me to post my opinion of his moving company on this website. I definately recommend all you can move for a moving quote and they did awesome for my move. I will send alot of business their way when I find out other folks that I know are moving.

  12. Great job Good Team Movers.

A friend had referred Good Team Movers to me. So I decided to give them a call & get some information & get a price for my move. From start to finish I was given a lot of very helpful information. I had no idea how much information one really needed to know before choosing a company. I decided to put my move in there hands, since my friend had a good experience and I felt very comfortable with them each time I spoke to them. Without going into to much detail. All went well from begining to end. The price was good, the movers were great & all went as planned. I will use them again for any future moves & I will refer them to anyone I know looking for a moving company they can trust!!

  13. Do Not Trust Them.

My secretary used them; they were 6 days late in delivery; added an additional $150 fee that sky-rocketed to $300 in an hour; they damaged three of her items then told her "Big deal; go to Home Depot to fix it." They are, in my opinion, dishonest, and pray upon vulnerable people.

  14. The worst moving and customer service experience EVER.

I did a lot of research on selecting a moving company before I chose to go with good team movers. Their quoted prices were mid-spectrum (not on the low end) and at the time there were no bad reviews (that I could find) online about them.

I was greeted cordially when I called and requested a quote. The quote given at the time was $1280.00 The process of requesting the information and quote went smoothly. At the time I asked if the company did their own moving and Crystal referred me to their DOT number and said that yes indeed they do their own moving and the DOT number listed on their website is an indication of the truth of that statement.

After a date was arranged for pickup and I had given them my credit card information for the $350.00 deposit, a few days before the pickup date, I received a call from Crystal asking if it would be possible for the truck to be at my place a few days earlier. This was a bit of an inconvenience but not a huge problem so I readily agreed.

Two gentlemen with a truck that already had some furniture in it showed up at my door, calling ahead to arrange the time and let me know when they would be there.

And, this is when things started going bad..

The two movers did some of the packing (for the price of $270.00). I did not have any overly large furniture and my things were the equivalent of a studio apartment. These guys were tired from a move that they had done at 3:00am that day and were in a hurry to finish the move. This resulted in less than proper packing efforts and to prove the point of their problems, they left two wooden palettes and three pieces of wooden furniture (which I assume were parts of some other poor soul's furniture) by the side of the house. I did not notice these until after they had left. I emailed good team movers (Crystal) and let them know about it and never heard back about this.

Then, as I moved to my destination, it took me a while to find a place to rent. I knew this would happen so I had requested the one month free storage. When I did find my place, I called them and let them know that I would be ready for them for a September 1st delivery. They say that they will deliver withing 14 days of the day that you are ready for delivery. Well, after many un-answered phone calls and emails, I finally talked to Crystal who talked to Mike (who could not come to the phone at the time) and told me that my things would be delivered in a week (This took place at the end of the fist week of September). After a week or so, I received a call and the gentleman on the other side told me that my things will be delivered on the 17th of September. Note that this is more than the promised days.

The truck arrived on the promised day and my things were delivered to the new place. The guys were professional and worked fast. There was a small box of kitchen material and the base of a lamp (or something similar) that were not mine. When I pointed this to the delivery guys (3 of them) they took the material. I later found the box and the base near the main trash container where I live. So, someone else's things were left by the trash. By the way, these guys were from a different company hired by Good Team movers to do this delivery.

When I started looking at my things, there were scratches all over the furniture. There was a foot print on top of my TV stand. My desk was broken and will not stand up on it's own. I had gray totes that contained clothing. One of them was crushed. It is unusable. I have broken glassware, broken plastic boxes which were inside other boxes. All the furniture was covered with a thick layer of black dirt, with white smudges at some areas.

I called Good team movers and asked them about a claim form. The desk was worth about 200 dollars. I had bought it from Target. I was asked to send them photos of the problems.

I sent the photos to Crystal as an attachment to an email and requested confirmation of the receipt of the email. No news for one week. I called them after a week and asked if they had received the email. Yes, they had and asked if I had received the claim form. No, no such email or mail had been received by me. So, I was promised and received an email from Mike that has the claim from with an explanation of what needs to be done.

However, during our conversation on the phone, I was told that my things were scratched when they were received. That is not the case, I only took photos of the scratches caused by mishandling of my furniture by good team movers. Old scratches and new ones have different types of texture and wear.

When I asked how come they had hired another company for delivery, I was told all moving companies do this for east coast vs west coast deliveries. That is, since Good team movers are located on the east coast they hire someone else to deliver on the west coast. This was not mentioned to me when I initially asked Crystal if they did their own moving with their own trucks or they hired someone else.

In conclusion, here are some good reasons NOT to hire Good team movers for your moving needs:

    1. Unprofessional handling of furniture (broken and foot print)
    2. Lack of care for people's property (I am sorry for the people who lost the part of their lamp and kitchen furniture)
    3. Lack of proper communication when things go wrong (I had to call and email many times to get an answer)

    4. Unprofessional conduct when things go wrong
    5. Communication of misleading information.

  15. Terrible moving company!!

Just pointing out the obvious here, but an employee of a company shouldn't be writing a review for the same company..

My move was scheduled by Crystal Martins of Good Team Movers. The scheduled delivery date was August 16 and I confirmed this date with her a few days before the move because I needed to make arrangements to travel from my old residence to my new one. The movers never showed up on August 16, but only called in the evening to say that they would come over the next day. I still had to leave my old residence that evening though, because of non-refundable hotel reservations I had already made. The movers said that I could tell the landlord to let them in the next day, and they would load my belongings on the truck for me. I told that that this would be fine, gave them a list of all the major items in my apartment, and told them to call me to give me a confirmation after they had loaded my belongings. However, they did not contact me afterwards and did not provide me with an inventory list prior to shipping. I contacted Good Team Movers about my shipment and inventory list and they did not provide any information. My items were scheduled to arrive at my new residence on August 26, but were not delivered until September 9. I also contacted Good Team Movers about the location of my shipment in the meantime, but they did not write or call me back. During this time I was staying in my new apartment that was unfurnished, and I was sleeping on the floor.

This was especially inconvenient because I had to start work on September 1, but still had to take time off to clear customs on September 7 and then stay at home to wait for the movers to arrive on September 9. When I finally received my items, several items were broken, including a bookshelf, a TV stand, and two floor lamps. These were all photographed by the movers who delivered these items. In addition, my 27 inch iMac and iPod sound system were missing. The amount I had to pay for the delivery was also almost $1000 more than the quoted value, and Good Team Movers have not been willing to provide any sort of clear explanation for the costs. The company that delivered my items in Canada would not give me my belongings unless I paid the cost in full. I have sent inquiries to Good Team Movers, and so far they have not responded or offered to assist me in any way.
