  1. They worth the cost.

    This mover is the one I was searching for. We recently moved from Delaware to Georgia. I received the service from Great nation van lines. After taking their service, I realized how big mistake I did in recent years. I should have hired them in my all moves. But thanks god at least I found them! However, their workers coordination was excellent.  They moved my items in safely procedure. The guys worked hard to move out my stuff from a third floor apartment to downstairs. Though the lift was working but I had some big furniture and they could not accommodate some of those into the elevator. They worked hard to carry the load through narrow staircase. Surprisingly nothing was damaged or scratched. I was relaxed. The move couldn’t be possible without their help. They well worth the cost. .

  2. Trustworthy mover.

    I was very surprised watching them to do such a smooth move. They moved us from my two bed rooms apartment to the newly purchased house in Maryland. The guys have been super alert for the new buildings walls and floors. They were not so quick but they were perfect. The guys completed the job in their estimated window. I was again surprised when they billed us. It was fairly priced. The cost was definitely more reasonable than other quotation I received from other guys. I think everyone needs to hire them for a professional and trustworthy moving experience.

  3. Interested to hire again.

    The Great nation van lines have some great guys. They are very quick and patient simultaneously. Especially Mark and Erik were excellent. They came and got ready to work on time with supporting tools. The guys made me feel at ease. They were not like other movers who never uttered a single word. The proved their experience and didn’t waste time on move day. Actually I am very happy taking their service. I hired them for the move only and the packing was supposed to be done by me. But there were still some items those should be packed with blanket and the Great van lines crews helped me a lot in this regard. It seemed they were more than happy to help us. It’s not like that they were only happy to work rather they did the move without any incident. I am very eager to hire them for any further move.

  4. Millions of stars.

    They should get millions of stars. They projected the estimated delivery window within no more than a week from Delaware to Maine and they kept the words without any incident. They packed and loaded my entire three bed rooms condo in just four hours. That surprised me. They were very careful to the details that I requested them to follow. The crews even used plain mattress on the wooden floor so that it didn’t get scratched. The guys have been very understanding. Anyone can easily accommodate their requirement with this mover. I highly recommend them.

  5. Satisfied client.

    I never seen any more professional guys than the great van lines crews. They always tried to be sure whether everything was done to my liking. We had to move out on a short notice but they agreed and arrived right on time. They way they worked, it made me want to relocate again with the help of these guys. To avoid breakage, they wrapped and blanketed nicely. Consequently the whole moving procedure was outstanding. The biggest plus point was their price. They had no secret or trick in the final bill. I was satisfied. The entire experience left nothing to make wish.

  6. Highly appreciate them.

    Great nation van lines was referred to me by one of my colleagues. I phoned them and within very short stint they came at my home and made a quote for me. I was surprised having their offer. Though the market was very competitive but their rate was fairly reasonable for me. My move was scheduled for a Wednesday morning and they defeated my thought arriving timely. I thought they would never be able to show up due to morning traffic. But I was wrong! They proved they were not only aware for the schedule but they have been very much professional throughout the move. I highly appreciate their style of work. There was no chance to raise finger against them. They delivered a dedicated, honest, professional and unblemished service. I am happy.

    I never used Great nations van lines before but they exceeded my expectation at their first work for us. They were very professional and careful. They made us satisfied with the level of competency they showed. They shrink wrapped most of the items and sometimes blankets were used. The crews have been stuck on the primary estimated cost. After the delivery, they helped us to maneuver the furniture exactly where those items supposed to be placed. There was no mark on hardware or walls. I am very happy on them and would like to recommend everyone.

    I have moved 5 times in 7 years. I have had all kinds of moves and movers (cross country – you name it!). I must say this one was the BEST thus far! Great Nation Van Lines was professional, fast and downright GOOD! The crew we had moved us very fast--nothing broken and everything reassembled and placed just where we wanted it. I would highly recommend these folks! I am a happy lady!

  9. Strongly recommended.

    Moved two bed room apartment in June. I had no problems with the movers. Great nation van lines had some guys actually. I booked the elevator in my old apartment and I told them strictly to arrive in due time to avail the opportunity of elevator, otherwise they had to use narrow stair. The movers showed up early and so there was no problem to carry the load. They were very hard working and professional. They followed accurate stint to complete the loading task and delivery. I am happy with their service and strongly recommend them.

  10. Worst Moving Company, Unprofessional Liars.

    Let me begin with DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION! Pay more, use a uhaul, do anything but hire them. They start off friendly and helpful and once they have your things they turn around and show their true colours. The movers confirmed that MANY customers were angry after this last weekend , so I am not alone in feeling this way.I don't even know where to begin andI  apologize to readers for the length of this review.I moved from Maryland to Chicago and I needed my belongings by the 2nd. I booked my flight, scheduled work according to this and was extremely inconvenienced. When scheduling I told them that they should adjust the pick up date to guarantee that my belongings would arrive on time and they assured me that my pick up date was the date that would guarantee this. I was supposed to get a phone call two days prior to pick up. I did not . I emailed, called, left voice mails because I had questions regarding my move. I didn't get a response for three days, the afternoon before the supposed morning of their arrival, after basically having to flip out that I am paying money and the least they could do was answer my questions which were pertinent to being ready for pick up. They picked up my belongings and didn't provide the weight of the truck . I was told that the weight of the truck empty and the weight of the truck with my belongings would be provided on the monday morning so that I would know my balance.I never received a call. I needed to know my balance prior to my flight because I would have been charged a fee to pay by card and I hadn't set up my bank in Chicago yet. After a ridiculous number of phone calls , emails all day and yet another flip out, I received a phone call a few minutes before my bank closed. The office finally got back to me and provided me with the boss's number because he wasn't calling me like he was supposed to. David the "boss"  told me he would tell me my balance first thing tuesday morning. Tuesday morning I didn't hear from him. I called in the afternoon and he said he would tell me my balance the next afternoon. So, yet again I was left to wait on a phone call that never came. Furthermore, he informed me that he would tell me my scheduled drop off date. My belongings hadn't even moved 2 miles of where I was moving from.When I told him I was guaranteed delivery the next day he got nasty and told me for what I was paying he couldn't expediate the process and he could bring my belongings as late as the 16th if he liked. He snapped at me to call the office if I had a problem with it and they would call him and he would tell them the same thing. I literally was lied to,forced to live like a squater with no clothes, unable to work for over a week all because they were unable to provide a service that they were willing to accept money for.  I had to express my anger via email and phone calls just to get a response and a balance. The balance was provided asking for a lot more money. I informed them that I didn't receive certified weights to confirm the balance. They told me I would get that information when they delivered. They of course did not provide it upon delivery.How am I supposed to trust anything? They lie and are completely unorganized. I have never seen any information that can confirm I wasn't ripped off. Furthermore, they move your belongings with other's. Weigh station documentation is reflective of the total weight and NOT the weight of your belongings. They turned around and told me its their busiest time of year and to understand. IF YOU WERE AWARE THAT IT WAS THE BUSIEST TIME OF YEAR, YOU SHOULD HAVE CREATED YOUR SCHEDULE ACCORDINGLY. I paid money for a service and you shouldn't have taken my money if you were unable to provide it. I was offered an insulting 12 percent discount for their mess up. I lost way more than that because of their screw ups. Who picks up people's belongings without knowing when they will be able to get around to delivering them?That's something that was worked out PRIOR to me paying. How do you have my things for days and then turn around and say oh we still don't know when we will be able to fit you in.I could have stayed in my home or stayed with family and continued working in my office!I do not care what your circumstances are. As a company it is the company's responsibility to provide what they promise, not the customers responsibility to understand when they don't unless I am getting a full refund. I don't care for the excuses, I didn't appreciate the attitude, I didn't appreciate being told that my move was such little money compared to their expenses(their reason for providing poor business. charge more if that's what is needed to value your customers and do a good job), I didn't appreciate being lied to, I didn't appreciate the lack of communication. The list could go on. They need to learn how to run a business or they need to close shop. I laugh to think that the movers had the nerve to ASK for a TIP when they finally came!And a special shoutout to David, a boss who doesn't know how to be respectful or appreciative of/to customers!

  11. Great Nation Van Lines.

    We made a short distance move in June 2014 and Great Nation Van Lines was great.  It was very short notice but they assured us they could meet our schedule.  Four men showed right when they said they would, they were very careful with all our belongings especially the fragile things, and their final cost was $8 below their estimate.  A small step stool got lost in the move and when I brought it to their attention, they ordered the identical step stool from Amazon and had it our hands one day later.  Without question, we would use Great Nation again.

  12. Good Movers Still Exist.

    I was skeptical at 1st ,( it is a moving company you know ) but they were everything you can ask for. We`ve all heard so many horror stories about hiring a mover, but come to find out you don't always hear the whole story. Hiring a moving company is something that you cannot escape when you need to shift to another house or another city. I have always felt that it was my bad luck that I have had poor experiences in the past with the movers. But this moving company changed my perception. They were nice ,sincere, on time , as advertised sales man , their lead man and overall experience were great. The original estimate was pretty close to what I ended up paying. They did a very nice job of wrapping everything and loading everything up securely. The entire company kept contact with us the entire time of the move. Will definitely recommend them guys and use them again in future myself, if needed . I am glad there are still good people out there in this field. .

    I would suggest everyone if they need any professional, safe, reliable mover which maintain accurate timeline, they should hire Great nation van lines. Though it’s not so easy to find out a mover that really respect their clients demand but I might be very lucky to having them moved my belongings. The move was absolutely stress free. I moved from Maryland to Virginia. The sales person Michael helped me go through the moving inventory. I had so many items to move including electronics and heavy furniture. The crews knew what they were doing. There was no incident. All stuffs were delivered intact. I was very happy and tipped them accordingly.

  14. Great experience with Great Nation!

    I had a great experience with Great Nation. They were able to beat the price of my other van line quotes and then some. They were able to pick up my belongings at 2 stops in Baltimore without any additional fees or charges. The movers were very professional and efficient. Everything was packed and loaded with care. They truly are a full service moving experience. The communication from start to finish was great as well. I could always call or email and get a hold of someone to ask questions or clarify timing, etc. I would highly recommend Great Nation to a friend. 
    One thing that I would mention as a word of caution to anyone moving - my pricing was weight based and I ended up paying a bit more than originally planned due to the weight being greater than originally thought. This was my own fault as I did not have anyone estimate the contents of my storage unit. But I would recommend to anyone going through a move to throw away things they don't need! We threw away lots of stuff once we arrived in Tennessee that I paid by the pound for to have moved. However regarding Great Nation on this matter - they were very up front about pricing structure and I was 100% aware of the plan. I just should have been more judicious about sorting through my stuff on the front end!
    Again, I would highly recommend Great Nation and would use them again in a heartbeat. .

  15. Used them twice in 2 months.

    I moved from NYC to Herndon, VA in mid-April and then moved back to NYC in mid-June. Used Great Nation both times and overall am satisfied.  I move a lot and the price I paid on both moves was nearly half the cost of quotes I got from other movers I have used in the past.  Yes, they charge you for things like boxes, tape and other packing materials, if you need them, but that is to be expected when the overall price is so low and you should know those things aren't free.  Yes, they should be more explicit up front about the charges but if you know you'll need stuff like that included in your quote either tell them in advance or just pay twice as much elsewhere.   The staff that shows up to do the actual move is very professional/polite and they know their stuff.  Nothing was broken or damaged in either of my moves and quite frankly they seem to communicate even better than the office staff. They call in advance to let you know they're on the way and are very focused and quick once they get to your place.  The movers also ask whether you want something wrapped, etc. and advise you of the costs.  If you don't want something specially wrapped they won't do it. The office staff is friendly but can stand to be a little more responsive in my opinion. Obviously, nothing major or I wouldn't have used them twice but I work in the Customer Care industry and it seems I needed to follow up too frequently, at times.  On the first move I needed to double-check several times on a COI required by my building as well as confirming the exact move time.  I was also told I could use a credit card and found out the day of the move I couldn't.  Finally, they should be should be more explicit about pricing of packing materials but given the overall price I am OK with that.     Mimi is a bright spot here and is good at keeping you informed and working with your needs from a dispatch perspective.  It should be noted that on my 2nd move I had none of the hiccups that occurred on the first move.  Moves are always a pain and a hassle but these two moves were not bad at all.
