  1. Everything is possible.

From how the customer care responded to my task details, I was sure they had something more special than the rest. I was relocating to Illinois with my wife after our wedding. We decided to combine the relocation. Therefore, we needed a capable relocation company too. It was my wife’s idea to hire Long Distance Movers out. I had my doubts with relocation companies, but I agreed anyway. Wow! With them, it was not business as usual. They treated us professionally, something I less expected from a mere relocation company. Collectively our stuff wouldn’t be easy to handle, but they managed to pack them in time. Their van was very spacious, and we took a single journey to relocate all the stuff. The experience still seems a miracle to me. With Long Distance Movers everything is possible.

  2. I still haven't received my Stuff.

I requested delivery of my house hold goods on the 5th of June it is now the 24th of July and I still do not have a single item of mine. Long Distance Movers is just a broker company meaning they book your move but then give it to another company. You then have to deal with some random company that gets your move. I have moved all over the United states for work. This by far is the worst move I have ever made. I am glad that my company has black listed this moving company and will no longer pay for there employees to use this company.

  3. Poor Life Choice.

I was given incorrect info about delivery date and now may have to wait an additional 2 weeks for my things to get here. Also told that I would be able to use a credit card for payment but movers said they don’t accept cc after all of my stuff was loaded. Big inconvenience since my checks were packed away in my car already. No one seems to know where the truck is exactly and have no way to find out. Eli from Cheetah movers, the company brokered for my move, is extremely rude and hung up on my wife after yelling at her about a family emergency he was dealing with. She was only asking if he knew where the truck was in transit, which I don’t consider an unreasonable question since we’re all of a sudden not getting our things when we were initially told we were. The manager at LDM told me I should be grateful that my stuff is in transit because it could still be in a warehouse in LA when all I was asking of her was to get in touch with Eli to find out whereabouts it is. Full disclosure- I did yell at her when it became apparent that she was not interested in offering any help or information finding out about basically everything I own or taking responsibility for the bad information I was given by both the salesperson, Eric, and the movers. She said it could be anywhere and had no way of knowing where it is or how many loads were on it. Awful, awful experience. Please pay attention to the reviews. They are correct. This company is a sham with some pretty slick salespeople on the payroll who will tell you whatever to get your business. I didn’t expect a lot from a broker but telling me they have no way to track the truck? Seriously, the driver doesn’t have a cell phone? Give me a break.

  4. I recommend Long Distance Movers.

It is fair giving credit to whom it deserves. My heart melts for those particular individuals that do their tasks to perfection. Working with them once more is a sure thing for me. Last month I had the best relocation ever. I was lucky to have a fallen on the right hands. Long Distance Movers did a marvellous job. Within hours after payment was made, they were ready to pick up the task. They relocated me the same day I reported to them. I expected it to take longer due to the demand for relocation services, but they had more vans and experts to handle that. What they did reveals the fruits of hard work and dedication in their line of duty. On arrival at Georgia, they offered to decorate my new residence. I truly owe them a referral. Why wouldn’t I refer such a perfect team? Try them out and get your experiences. You will need them again.

  5. Scam..scam..scammers..do not repeat use this company.

I can't even begin to start and where to start, Long Distance Movers are fake a fraud and scammers, all the reviews on this company that are bad is true and more. This company is a broker company so they say and like others they make u sign a Contract over the phone and don't even allow u to look it over or really tell u what ur signing and give the good speech about where better than other companies and we guarantee ur delivery and cheaper prices and the whole 9 yards. They feed u a bunch of bull and pretend they are their for u and promise u will have ur things on time and when u move into ur place. Nitemare for real, they took my deposit and never heard bk from them and I had to call them myself to see if the movers where still coming so that was a sign right their but once again they made a excuse and of course no refund, so on to the moving and pick up part, they showed up in a truck to small and the price changed and they quoted u on the phone and said it wouldn't change and guarantee their price well a lie, that price shot up a extra $1300 dollars and talked about weight and some more and I had no idea about weight or nothing, so moving along I called the company while the movers where their picking up and they where rude and act like they didn't know nothing and that it was in the contract and more and just lies after lies. they told me after my things were taken that the truck will arrive when I do or few days after and guess what it arrived one month and almost 2 weeks and all my belongings missing, broke and damaged and missing stickers, now how do u misplace things that are numbered and pallet together so the movers claim and how do u forget a big California king bed and twin beds and dressers and half my boxes and boxes and bins retapped and replaced with cardboards are a top for a lid on bins and how do u have brand new things in the original box from store and not see that's missing and u wasn't going to notice that..hmmmmm crazy., I called the moving company and they gave me the run around and then had the nerve to tell me to call the movers who delivered my items and I also asked where and why was they late and I called the movers weekly and everyday from the date of pick. the company told me to also call the insurance company which is through them for money for being late pass the due date when the due date should of been the first week after I left. just a nitemare and more and lies. I'm still dealing with the outcome and waiting on my lost items and stolen items and they seem to not care and I shouldn't have to contact the actual movers when they are the ones who hired them and the movers they used was Mirit Great American Inc and they are bad and thieves, never again will I ever go through them of movers and I advise u guys to follow or be sorry, just a nitemare for real and I don't know why they are still open and taking business when they should be shut down and be investigated for fraud and the movers they hired as well.

  6. Worst experience ever!

Don't know how they get any good reviews at all. The original price was good so we went with them with out checking reviews. A big mistake!! We booked the move 2 months ahead. Was given a Binding Moving Est. By the time everything was loaded on the truck the price was tripled and would not unload truck on the other end until paid in full in cash! They wouldn't pick up or deliver on the days promised originally. We were originally told for a 3 bedroom house it should only be 60 boxes, they are the so called experts so the week before they came to load the truck we had a lot more than that so we sold off beds, couch, tables, freezer ect. to make room for the extra boxes, didn't matter, they knew they were going to jack up the price regardless. The local men that they hired to help them unload, told us that they were taking our boxes and just throwing them off the truck. When I showed them the damage they did to our floors, they only tried to brush away the chunks of wood from the threshold and didn't care about the scratched up paint. Also, damaged furniture. (The brokered moving company LDM used was Streamline moving and storage, Las Vegas) they showed up in 2 budget rental trucks 26 ft and 11 ft., so now we are paying for 2 trucks and 2 drivers! I have never experienced anyone so rude and unhelpful as LDM's so called customer service.. They told me that they didn't care what anyone say's in their reviews or comments. I also filed complaints with BBB, FMCSA and the Florida Attorney General, also bombarding social media about this company!! Do not use these people!! website can't upload more that 2 pics ;-(.

  7. Scam! Zero Stars!

It’s a shame we live in a world where honest hard-working people are taken advantage of by shady companies looking to capitalize on a situation. This racket of a company sold me on countless lies that ultimately resulted in having to pay more money, significantly delayed arrival of our shipment, and multiple damaged items requiring repair, including a 65-inch TV.

I first spoke to a salesman by the name, COHAN, who is, no doubt, employed by this sham company for his ability to tell blatant lies and make empty promises just to get a sale. I was told, “the movers are our guys, they’re all background-checked, certified, professional movers”: LIE. Long Distance (LD) is a broker who sells you a product under the guise of “affordable”, “quality”, and “personalized” service, then contracts that service out to an actual moving company, in our case, OCEAN MOVING AND STORAGE, to pick up and deliver your items. You sign a contract with LD initially and pay them a deposit; the amount of the deposit is calculated based on a percentage of the total estimate or quote, which is in turn based on weight or cubic footage of the inventory being shipped. COHAN grossly OVER-estimated the weight of our inventory to hike up the price, then told me, “you don’t want to underestimate the weight, the movers may not show up with a big enough truck” and “you’ll have to pay a fee at the end if they go through the weigh station and your stuff weighs more than estimated.” (Again, I was doing this for the first time, I didn’t know.) Then he promised I’d be given a “weight ticket” upon arrival of our shipment and I’d be refunded any cost based on the difference assessed at the weigh station: LIE (our items were loaded on to a truck that held items from two other households, mover stated they never went through a weigh station.) LD included a “shuttle fee” of $300 in the initial contract which means that, if applicable, your items may be loaded on to a larger truck for the long haul, then transferred to a smaller truck locally, to make the actual delivery (especially if you’re moving to a building that does not allow “18-wheelers” on site). I was told I’d be reimbursed the shuttle fee because, although “it’s included in every contract”, our shipment wouldn’t need to be shuttled in because the “same guy picking up your items will also be delivering them”: LIE (we had at least three different drivers from Ocean Moving; Jarrod, Noam, and Pablo). I was GUARANTEED our items would arrive on our move-in date, “next day at the latest”: LIE (Ocean Moving had a separate contract from LD and could not guarantee a delivery date, only a date range of 3-15 days). This guy from sales, COHAN, gave me his cell number, told me to “call anytime of the day” if I had a question or concern, said he would be in constant contact with their dispatch to ensure on-time delivery. I feel like an idiot now but, of course, he was a total flake and didn’t answer his phone or return my messages. They had their money, nothing left to do. Classic BAIT AND SWITCH.

After initially reporting the damaged items to, both LD and Ocean, I’ve called and emailed LD repeatedly for assistance with filing a claim and they still haven’t even sent me a claim form. Also, take a screenshot of your contract with LD while you have access to it; as soon as Ocean left with our shipment, the link to our contract online expired; the weblink in their email took me to a different webpage stating, “This job is booked! Contact Customer Service.” Super shady. I was never emailed a hard copy. Despite multiple requests to send a hard copy, they never sent it. And when I was able to reach someone in customer service, I was given the run-around and sent to different office locations. I eventually spoke to a manager named KAITLYN who is rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She continued the onslaught of lies and deceit; she agreed to reimburse a portion of the shuttle fee and email a claim form for eventual reimbursement towards damages but has not followed up on either of these since.

Look, the situation was this: I had to hire a moving company for the first time to move my family, including small children, to another state. I researched a list of companies online; the larger, more well-known companies, were more expensive, required more lead time to schedule a pick up, and quoted a longer delivery window. I gambled on this smaller company that was promising personalized, professional service, and lost big time. It ended up being more expensive than the safer alternative, I now have damaged items that need repair, and no one from LD has even a hint of accountability because “this is an Ocean issue now”. LONG DISTANCE is a sham company who has neither the integrity nor the resources to deliver the product they claim to be selling. BY FAR, THE WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER.

  8. That was unexpected!

Every time I plan to relocate it is a habit that I involve a relocation company. I have had an opportunity to associate with a different relocation company, and I can comfortably narrate about them. They didn’t do it to the standard I needed my relocation taken care of. But it is not long ago I met a unique one in the industry - Long Distance Movers. For the first time, I came across a reliable service provider. They were cheap and more aggressive. Contrary to the rest they had a spacious van that carried all my stuff in one round. I loved the experience with them.

  9. Do Not Use This Company.

If I could negative stars I would. I have had the worst experience with this company. DO NOT USE THEM! I decided to use them for our move from CA to TX because their rates were better than all the other companies I contacted. That was first mistake. You truly do get what you pay for. My belongings were picked up on 8/2 and I was given a time frame of 8-10 days. They brokered out the job by the way. The foreman that showed up tried to talk me into a new price that added $2400 to my total and when I told him that I would stick to the original he turned completely rude. I'm now on day 13 and still don't have our stuff. After 2 days of trying to reach someone I received a call from the company that picked my stuff up Cross Country Relocation Services and I was told that it was going to be another week before my things arrived at our new house. That puts the delivery time at almost 20 days. And no one at the company seems to care at all. I've been put out additional money because of this and my husband can't start working with out the tools that they have sitting in a warehouse somewhere waiting for a truck to be available to bring them to TX. He is required to have his own tools for his line of work and they don't care one little bit. I was told that the contract says they aren't responsible for delays and there is nothing they can do. So I've decided there is something I can do. I'm letting the public know not to use this company and I'm filing a complaint with the BBB and the DOT. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! They are terrible and only care about getting their money, not your time or your belongings. I am going to post this to every website I can find.

  10. Unmatchable Services.

I like their sense of organisation right from the highest hierarchy to their foremen. Their level of coordination is unmatchable. My colleagues told me they were that good, but I did not take their words seriously until I got them to work for me. The relocation from Colorado to Florida was done more perfectly than I anticipated. I was all smiles at the end of the entire process, something I didn’t deem possible. Long Distance Movers came like a blessing, and I appreciate their efforts in ensuring that I settled in my new residence without free of stress.

  11. Moving on agreed upon datw.

Do NOT ever use this company. They subcontract out their trucks and if u encounter issues over weekend there is NO emergency contacts. Quoted to move me on a Friday showed up Tues night. No apologies one of the WORST experiences of my life!!
Wonderful and trust worthy when getting u a quote then 0 customer service
Can u imagine paying over 1,500’to move and cannot contact local OR corporate representatives from 4pm Fri thru Monday atn10am. Drivers truck broke down and he had no info for me to follow up w new truck and offices closed for weekend
It was truly a customer nightmare
    DONT GO THRU IT
Make sure u pick a mover who have their own trucks and do NOT subcontract out!!

  12. Long Distance Movers are awesome.

There is no way moving is easy or stress-free. However, I cooperated with two nice guys who made the process so much less stressful. The guys moved me into my new house while being careful not to damage the floor and the walls. I was supposed to do the packing, but the movers helped with tape and sealed some boxes for free. I thank them so much for taking the time to drop the boxes in the designated rooms. Long Distance Movers are awesome, use them.

  13. Terrible experience.

No one should use this company. They hired a 3rd party company that was terrible and they did not accept responsibility for losing our rug and longboard. We needed to contact them almost daily and often several calls to find out what was going on and when our stuff would be delivered. The boxes were damaged when received and wheels were missing from the desk chair. Horrible moving experience that we would not wish on anyone.

  14. Still no stuff a month later.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

They will say absolutely anything to get your business and then turn around and ignore you. My stuff was picked up from New Orleans and has still not been delivered to my house in California despite many MANY attempts to call and email them. Customer service is rude and inattentive. The customer service manager, Brittanie Neves is incapable of doing her job and does not answer phone calls or emails. Anytime you manage to get a hold of anyone, you’re either hung up on or told “we’ll call you.” It’s been a month. That answer is no longer acceptable and I want my furniture or a refund.

  15. I appreciate the work of Long Distance Movers.

I had bought some furniture from a friend and I needed them to be moved to my house. I contacted Long Distance Movers and arranged for them to come to my friend’s apartment to load and carry the furniture to my house. They had a 1-3pm time frame available, which was perfect for me. I appreciate their knowledgeable and helpful sales representative who made the move a success. The representative from Long Distance Movers informed me that my movers would call me before they reach at my friend’s house to get me ready. They called five minutes after 1.00 pm and said that they would get there in fifteen minutes time. The crew of three movers came just as they had promised and checked what needed to be moved after introducing themselves. In another fifteen minutes, they had loaded the sofas and the dresser and were set to leave for my house. They completed the process without scratching the furniture and I appreciate the work of Long Distance Movers.
