Excellent Moving
They did a great job for my move from FL to MA - my neighbor that move down to FL had a similar experience so I decided to hire. They people on the phone were patient with all of my questions and needs adn the crews were just as wonderful - very personable and obviously worked together for a long time
Unprofessional, bad communication.
I planned my move 2 months in advance and was not told until 30 minutes before the movers' arrival that it is cash only. Mind you, they charge $171 an hour (for 2 guys 1 truck) on Sep 1 moves, so that was $684 I was supposed to just have on hand. They refused to accept any other payment method and instead I had to get a friend to instant transfer money to my account (because I was planning to use my credit card) go to an ATM during my move and received no discount at all. To boot, Kate from their office would not respond to my texts that day until the movers contacted her to get back to me despite being my designated communications person. When I asked the movers to wear masks as they moved stuff into the new house (I have 6 housemates who were moving in the same day) they refused. There was a bulky plywood cabinet in my room that I asked the movers to take downstairs before bringing all the stuff up, and they also refused. Yeah, the job got done. That's why I gave 1 star at all.
Holy Move Batman - these guys are great.
As a procrastinator by habit I called these guys only a few days before my move and they came thru in a pinch. Carl and Chad had my 2bedroom loaded driven across town and offloaded in 4 hours. They were running up the stairs - impressive!
Good Value.
Used for a move from NYC to Boston mid-pandemic - they used all precautions and wrapped everything well. Despite this we still ended up with a scratch on a table that we were compensated for.
Loved the Movers.
These movers helped us move our house of 40 years into storage for 9 months then into a new apartment in the city. Highly recommended for any size move.
Double move review.
We used monster movers for 2 moves - we used their interstate moving services for a move up from Tennessee and then a local move. It was hard to get them on the phone to book a move but they obviously spend way moretime on the actual move itself rather than calling over and over like other companies. Both crews were great.

Apparently there are multiple accounts and locations for this company all over the internet..Please read this whole review to understand why you should NEVER HIRE MONSTER MOVERS the company run by Bill Antonelli.
The company itself is NOT WORTH A SINGLE STAR, the only thing they have going for them are the actual guys who do the moving.
I booked them a month before my move (April 2019 for a May 11 move), everything seemed perfectly on the level, my calls and emails were returned promptly and a “representative” contacted me immediately after my request for a quote. They even have a pretty good looking website that generates a personalized quote page where you can review all the details of your planned move and communications between yourself and the rep they “assign” to you. Any text messages between you and the rep get duplicated on this personalized quote page. I was given a confirmation of the move schedule and provided a $100 deposit to “book the move”.
I even contacted my representative Bill Antonelli three days before the moving date to request a third mover and to make sure the specifics of my move were communicated to the actual movers who would be working with me that day. I had a somewhat complicated storage situation and a somewhat complicated moving plan and I wanted to be sure this info was given to everyone who would be working that day so things could go as smoothly as possible.
The day of my move arrived and I had been informed that the arrival time of the movers was a window between 8-10am. My friend and I were at the storage facility promptly at 8 and we waited. And we waited. And we WAITED. At 9:30 I sent a text to confirm the movers were going to be on schedule because their arrival time window was rapidly coming to an end. No reply. I called at 10am and got voicemail. Bill returned that call fairly quickly and assured me the movers were on the way. Then I received a call from the moving foreman to let me know that the two men who were supposed to be on his team for my move never showed up but he was getting replacements and that he would arrive as soon as possible. Another call with Bill after I spoke with the foreman amounted to “I’m just trying to make sure they stay in touch with you.” 11:45am rolled around. Still no movers. My friend and I decided we were going to call it quits at 1pm because at that point, the mailbox for Bill suddenly became “full” and I could no longer leave any messages or get anyone to call me.
The movers finally showed up at 12:58. FIVE HOURS LATER. And they had been given NO INFO on the nature of my move or any of the details I had communicated to Bill when I booked them and when I called him 3 days earlier. They had no preparation for the specifics of my move and everyone seemed particularly miserable with having been yanked out of their days off to fill in for the no-shows and I don’t blame them.
The moving foreman Rafael and his co-workers Stefan and Jay were all incredibly personable and patient and professional and did their best to get my things from the S. Shore to Cape Cod. They were careful and considerate and much, much better representatives of their work than the person back in the office, Bill, who IMHO completely screwed my day and my move.
I would never EVER recommend this company to anyone and I am simply grateful that the men who did show up to move my things were so nice and responsible.
Worst company.
Never use this company please,They charged me the total for three hours and an hour for travel plus deposit,but they worked two hours only pretend they will continue next day,I did a lot of phone call but nothing worked,don't trust them,dishonest company sorry.

THIS MIGHT BE THE MOST VALUABLE REVIEW YOU READ ON THIS COMPANY. Hi, my name is Phil, I have over 100, 5 star reviews on my business in my field, my "worst" review is a 4 out of 5 stars, one. I started my career reviewing companies in my field and using those companies for my clients as a consultant when all I had was my REPUTATION.
I used Monster to do a move in December 2018 and here is why this might be the most important review you'll ever read on this company. An error was made, a pretty significant one, I ain't going to lie I was kinda P'd and they MADE IT RIGHT.
It's easy to earn great reviews when everything goes right. What DEFINES a company is what happens when something doesn't, what do they do? I had posted on my social media asking friends for recommendations on moving companies and I got a lot of responses. But when I started reviewing each company every last one of them had situations where it looked like they were "rug sweeping" this excuse, that or the other when they messed up. My friends were just in that part of the pie that didn't have any problems with them.
There is NO finer quality of a company than when a mistake is made, than to address it. There's never a company out there that will never make a mistake, mine included, that's just being human. BUT there are only a handful of companies that will grab a mistake by the horns and do the right thing. THAT'S the defining quality in a business, whatever it might be. Monster Movers please never lose sight of this quality, it truly sets you apart from the rest of your field. Unless that change's I'll never use any other service if these guys are available, that's all I need to know. Thanks, Phil.
Monster Mover Review.
From beginning to end, the service and experience with Monster Movers was incredible. Over the phone communications were articulate, clearly explained, and personable. Email communications were professional and detailed. My movers RJ and Davis arrived early, and could not have been more professional, polite, and pleasant on all levels. They were able to get all the moving done within my allotted timeframe- and were beyond gracious. They ACTUALLY jogged back to the truck when they weren't carrying things (as advertised.. but SERIOUSLY they do that!). They were very business-like and I was super confident and trusting of their abilities, and didn't worry at all about the care in which my items were handled. This included a 300 year old wooden chest, that they were alerted of ahead of time and made sure to recognize before they started packing everything up. I would hire those two guys for any job, and they were a great representation of a well-run business. I can't wait for the next opportunity to recommend Monster Movers! Everyone here gets an A++ from me. These student athletes knocked it out of the park! (I believe it's RJ that plays baseball?) Whatever these young men end up doing for careers after college, they'll be sure to succeed with these amazing attitudes and work ethic.
Move from MA to DC.
We hired Monstwr Movers for a interstate move to DC from Boston. The movers were courteous kind and went above and beyond in every aspect. They brought moving pads to protect all of the furniture as well as shrink wrap for the couches and beds. We booked our move with Sarah who was extremely helpful throughout the whole moving process. She gave us advice that our realtor didn’t even know about with regards to closing dates. If you value your belongings and want them to arrive Undamaged I highly suggest using this company.
Never Use This Company.
I cannot emphasize this enough..never use this company! My experience with them was a total nightmare.
I arranged with Monster Movers to transport a dining table, six dining chairs and a sideboard table from my home in the Boston area to my new home in Philadelphia and every aspect of it was unprofessional and ended with my table being completely ruined due to the mover's negligence.
First, we had agreed that the movers would pick up the furniture during a specific one week window, and that I would be notified in advance which day the actual pick up would occur. However, I was never notified, but instead two men in a small truck showed up at my house unannounced. I asked that my tables be wrapped with pads to protect them from being scratched, but the movers couldn't as they didn't have any with them. They told me they would wrap the pieces when they unloaded it where it would be stored for a couple of weeks until a truck going to Philly was available to transport it. Fast forward two weeks. The owner told me the furniture would be delivered on Thursday. However, the truck arrived at my house in Philly, again without being notified, two days early, on Tuesday. It was by chance that I happened to be home.
This time there was one mover, so how he expected to unload a large dining room table alone was perplexing. Additionally, both tables were in a panel truck, without any padding or protection. The driver shared with me that when he picked up the truck that morning the furniture was not even secured, so he went to Home Depot and personally purchased straps to secure the bigger table. The truck driver also told me that when he picked up the truck that morning, the back doors were left wide open, totally exposing my furniture.
Miraculously, the chairs and sideboard table arrived undamaged. However, my Ethan Allen solid wood dining table that left my house without a scratch on it, was a mess. Two of the pedestal legs were broken and the top had numerous deep scratches in it. I immediately called the company. The woman I spoke to was defensive and rude..actually yelling at me. She insisted I pay for the delivery in full and she would send me an insurance claim form to be reimbursed for the damages. She kept reiterating that I needed to let her driver leave so he could get to Washington DC by evening because he had a job to do there. As I asked her questions to clarify the situation, she just became more angry and rude to me, until she actually hung up on me.
I did receive a link to an online claim form via email, but since then not once has anyone within the company responded to any of my phone calls, texts, voice mail messages, or emails. I need information from the company to complete the claim, but still cannot get any response from the owners. This is a completely accurate of my experience with Monster Movers, so if you value your belongings, I cannot urge you enough to use another company.
Horrible.
This was the worst move of my life, a nightmare.
a) Bait and switch -- quoted a flat rate price, the final payment due only AFTER delivery and my satisfaction. My items were held hostage with owner of Monster Movers saying he'd confiscate all my items unless I paid extra fees
b) Thousands of dollars in damage
c) Movers threatened me, chased me trying to take my phone to delete photos of damaged items I took for claim
c) One mover exposed himself to me
d) They stacked up boxes and trapped me in bedroom then left for lunch, leaving door open - without telling me. I called owner and said I need to use bathroom and movers must come back and clear the path for me. He refused. I had no choice but to push items out of the way and in so doing tore / pulled ligaments in back. Still in treatment for this one year later
e) Submitted a claim with their insurance company (I had a COI with 1,000,000 limit). They responded that they bear no responsibility for ANY of the issues.
THE COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS.
Monster Movers Review.
I used Monster Movers for a local move from our house in Westborough to our new home in Needham The closing was delayed and we had everything we owned in the truck. The crew at Monster Movers was patient while we figured out what was going on. Ultimately we needed to store our belongings overnight but got permission to set up our beds so the kids could get settled. The crew and the truck were already gone when we found out we could set the beds up! We didn’t expect what happened next but to our surprise despite one of the crew members being home eating dinner they came back and set our beds up which meant moving other furniture and boxes around in the truck. They didn’t ever complain and seemed sincerely happy to have saved our day. The next day we were able to move everything else in to our new home and the crew finished the job the same way it started, with a smile and a firm handshake. Hard workers, no damage, freindly and helpful staff. Would definitely use again.
Monster Movers Review.
We hired Monster Movers for a long distance move from Massachusetts to Florida. We moved long distance before and we were nervous about when our stuff would arrive at our new home and if everything would make it to our new home. We were a bit skeptical about guaranteed dates and only our shipment being moved on the truck due to past experiences but Monster Movers did exactly that! The crew arrived and took things apart and wrapped them and were pretty efficient getting it done. The driver, Tony told me he was leaving that same day to head to my new home. We still had to get there and started to wonder if the movers would arrive before us and they did! They arrived the evening before we scheduled the delivery and we saw the truck parked as we passed on our way to our hotel. Tony, the crew, and the office staff were polite and professional. Great job, thanks guys!
