  1. Scammers!!! Do not use!!!

    I requested a quote from Budget Van Lines, and Move Smart was one of the companies that contacted me to give a quote. When I first started with the quote on July 14th, there was pressure to commit. I should have followed my first instinct to hang up when they continued to drop the price "just to win my business." I paid the deposit of $842. Within 48 hours, I emailed them, as directed in their documentation, to cancel with them because something was gnawing at me that I should not use them. I immediately get a call from Mike Allen saying he just wanted to help me with my move and discuss who I was choosing over them. I emailed again that I did not want to talk to them and wanted to get my refund. I also let it be known that I would exercise my legal options with an attorney. I received an email asking for my address to mail the check. That was the last I heard from them! I sent another email asking for an ETA for the check. No answer! I filed a complaint with FMCSA on the website https://nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov/NCCDB/Home.aspx. I notified them that I filed the complaint. Do not fall for the high-pressure sales call. HANG UP!

  2. Fraudulent company

    I was contacted by Move Smart LLC for relocation services from California to Hawaii in May 2021. The representative Brendan Bell informed that I would have to pay with an initial deposit of $1850.00. Per the representative cash was only accepted for the initial deposit. After lack of communication from the company, I decided against using the company and within 2 days, I requested a refund. After several attempts, the company responded via email agreeing to refund my full deposit within 20-25 days by mail. However, it is past their 20-25 day policy and I have not been able to reach them via phone or email. I have filed reports and will continue to educate anyone I can about this trifling company. This should not be allowed! They have definitely will not continue to get away with this.

  3. DISHONEST PEOPLE

    These people will be so nice to you when selling the deal but once you sign up with them you will DEFINITELY regret signing up for their service. No one will talk to you from their customer service and the dates they promise are not kept and meanwhile delivery dates could take about ten days or so after pickup so PLEASE USE ANOTHER COMPANY AND NOT THESE GUYS. Better to spend more somewhere for a quality and professional service.

  4. Deceptive business practices

    I had really bad experience with them. They gave me a quote of $2224 and while signing the document they conveniently changed $2224 to $2724. As i was signing the document in my mobile I did't notice the change until 5 days later. I called up the booking representative, he said the document says $2724 not $2224. I shared both the screenshot with him. On seeing that he said he will check and get back to me but never called me back. When i asked for a cancellation which they never agreed saying your window for cancellation was 72 hours and refund wont be issued. I would suggest to keep your distance from this company.

  5. Very poor

    They took my deposit of 1164.00 on March the second. Said they could move from Bend Oregon to Scottsdale AZ on May thr 6th or 7th. They said they would call me 72 hours before the move. They Emailed me 19 hours before my move. They had no reason just that they were sorry for the inconvenience. That's it!!! I'm still waiting for my refund check of 1164.00 its been 3months still have not received my Refund!

  6. Lies, Lies and more Lies!

    First off do your research which I did I hit and I should have listened to the reviews when I mentioned the reviews to Ryan who's customer service he referred me to his boss Chris. I spoke to Chris he assured me that that company was not his company it's been going on for years and years so he says but believe me when I say this company is that company!!! They Outsource subcontract or whatever their truck service which was for me, US Best Movers which was who I got. I should have known something was up when us Best movers showed up and my price went up but silly me I stayed with them. I didn't get my furniture delivered until a month after the due date which they informed me they had 20 days after the date given.They were over a month late and when that person showed up what he showed up with an 18-wheeler extended which could not go into Apartments nor residential areas so he had an attitude right off the bat with me! Hopping out of the truck saying that every hour was going to be $150 and if I couldn't find a storage it would be $1,000 more so I had to scramble to find where I was going to put my stuff in storage facility and pay some more money for that so I asked them to rectify at by atleast refunding me my storage money that I had to pay out!!! I've heard nothing back from them yep they ignore you pretty well. DO NOT use this company run as fast as you can away from them!

  7. Fraud and so disrespectful!!

    My only mistake, I read wrong reviews of another company by the same name. Now that I searched this company by phone number, I see everything said about them is correct. They lie, tell you what you want to hear, the money the time of delivery... all lies. When the truck comes to pick up the stuff they charge you more.. delivery date pushed. Now been 14 days, no idea where our stuff is. And they keep changing the estimate now they r saying 21 days.

    And the most disappointing is their customer service. You call them and ask where your stuff is, they say, they can do you a "courtesy" and ask the truck company, IF YOU ASK NICELY.. yeah these are the exact words. They are liars, cheat, fraud.. I am running out of words here.. you get the idea.. So save yourself all the high blood pressure and rude agent to talk to and take your business elsewhere.. I mean anything .. anything, throwing your stuff away is better than hiring these guys!!! I would give negative stars if I could.

  8. AVOID THIS COMPANY

    The movers did not take more than HALF THE ITEMS ON MY LIST OF ITEMS. The movers arrived and told me they COULD NOT TAKE MY FURNITURE(dining table set, 3 recliners, 2 dressers, coffee table, 2 night stands, refrigerator, and other smaller items). Then, the mover tells me if I want to take the fridge,

    It would be $500 more to put on the truck. Complete scammers.

    ALL ITEMS WERE ON THE LIST PROVIDED WITH THE ESTIMATE. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. The estimate provided did not allot enough space for the items on the list. Left me without furniture and paying over 5,000 to move bins, duffle bags and a bed. So ridiculous. Stay away from this company, they don’t give a shit about you or your stuff. They just want to take advantage of people moving out of state and bleed you dry.

    It’s also extremely difficult to get a hold of customer service or talk to anyone at all after you’ve signed the contract.

    Terrible business, shameless company.

  9. DO NOT HIRE

    We gave them the benefit of the doubt with all of their poor reviews because "no one ever leaves a good review," this may be true, but for Move Smart, their poor reviews deserve to stay. We scheduled moving over a month ago with a very attentive representative (David Miller). We had to follow up many times to see when the movers were coming and to ensure a specific delivery date. Movers finally got here 3 hours later than their given window, charged us an ADDITIONAL (never mentioned before) fee of $200, and our delivery date is now pushed back 14-30 days and our items are being taken off the truck into a storage facility (another question asked initially and David left us under the impression that our items stay on the same truck until it is delivered in 1-3 days)!! We also tried to contact the company and David specifically and once we pointed out the discrepancies, they stopped responding via text, phone and email. PISS POOR COMMUNICATION and many FALSE PROMISES. I hope someone reads this and learns from our mistakes, again DO NOT HIRE.

    The moving company that was scheduled for me got the moving truck into an accident. My guaranteed days were not honored and I did not receive any communication about it. I had to reach out to get information. Poor service and I would not recommend.

  11. RIP OFF OUTFIT

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They are nothing but a ripoff scam. They give you a low price for moving, just to get you to sign and deposit money, then turn you over to some fly by night outfit that doubles or triples the price to move. They are NOT a moving company, they are a "broker" who gets you hooked then finds the biggest dirt ball outfit they can find to ship your stuff. Our household items finally arrived about a month after they told me they would, every thing damaged! DO NOT go to these people! They should not be allowed to operate a business.

  12. Poor customer service and overcharges.

    My move was Feb 2021. On initial contract, the company makes a good estimate but it’s under-estimated and ultimately you will pay more.

    My contract was for a light move – no bedroom, no dining room or large couch. The total was $1771 which included a $700 destination fee. This was the one itemized detail you think a moving company can get correct. The move was scheduled well in advance and to take place 8am. That morning, the foreman said they can’t be there at 8am so it would need to be around noon. Well, when you’re in an apartment complex and needing to reserve the elevator to move, you can’t just change this on a whim. We re-scheduled to 4pm that same day, but they showed up at 6pm.

    The kicker came when the movers provided a copy of the contract, but it wasn’t what I signed. My contract was for $1771 with a destination fee of $700. They movers wrote $900 destination fee with a total of $200 more. I had to pay them (half of the balance) or they wouldn’t pick up the goods. On the delivery end, I had to pay the rest. They told me to take it up with the Move Smart to get a refund.

    I called the Customer service group – Sarah is who I talked with most often. She recognized that I didn’t sign a contract with the $900 and said it was an overcharge.

    So I had to send them their own contracts, the signed forms on pickup. Paperwork they already had, but I had to send it to them. This is one way that they make it your fault if you don’t send it to them.

    Then, the “check is in the mail”, was said up to this date today, June 20. I have not received any refund.

    The excuses were incredibly sad, and I can’t understand how the customer service team (Sarah, Danni) like lying to the customers when we are overcharged. It’s a sad job to have. Here’s some excuses:

    • “The accounting department got the wrong zip code.”

    • “We send it off to accounting to reissue it.

    • “The accounting manager needs to sign it. It’s on her desk to go out with the other accounts payable.”

    • Accounting cancelled the check.

    • “they didn’t mail it because they thought it was already completed.”

    • “I(Sarah) put in a request to expedite the re-issue.” It should be sent out this week.

    • On my last phone 6/8/21 call stated by Danni - “It’s with accounting, but we’re doing you a favor, we paid this for you.” “Most customer’s don’t complain and just pay the fee.”

    • Now it’s my fault.

    No refund and it’s been 4 months with at least 10 phone calls!

  13. I really rate them under a 1 but that is the lowest it goes

    This company is is a total sham. they did pick up as scheduled. I was told 3-4 days for delivery-it was 19. every time I called to check status they told me they reached out, but hadn't gotten a reply. don't you think they should know where my property it is at all times. I saved the confirmation email (contract), but when I tried to look at it again it wasn't there, stated "order fulfilled" or something like that. I asked several times for it to be sent to me, never got. the guys that picked up in Granite Falls, MN told me they were bringing it to Minneapolis where it would go on semi to Portland, OR. and it would then take 3-4 days to get here. When it finally arrived the driver told me he just got order 4 days ago and it took him 3 days to get here. He didn't think he could get to house because of narrow streets. My son gets in and out just fine and he drives a very big tow truck for big rigs. the driver had 2 guys here to move the stuff into my new place, but because the driver said he had to park a block away they would have to charge me extra. This did not set well with me or my son, who then drove his pick-up to the truck and even helped them load and unload. the driver said he would send receipt to my email, he didn't and when I text him he said he would as soon as he stopped. never happened. So I have no receipts from any of them. Each one blamed the other. The company stated they are not responsible after they contract out. They are the ones that set this up I assumed they were the movers and responsible as if I ran a catering company and hired people to cater a party-I would be responsible. Also somewhere along the way, weather with drivers 1, drivers 2, or the warehouse it sat in for almost 3 weeks some of my stuff was gone through and a bottle of about 80 ambien were taken (this is a controlled substance-makes it a felony) the BBB has worked with me, the company takes no responsibility tells me to get a hold of drivers, however they have no info on them to give me.

  14. Avoid, Run, Find another company

    This is the most horrendous, rudest, self serving hustlers that I have ever dealt with. The manager is very rude and I had to resort to my bank to request a refund. I have nothing good to say about this company or its owner.

  15. These are criminals

    I’m not even going to get into the issues with their quote and overcharging I’m just going to get to the worst part. One of the workers stole my wallet. After they left and it was discovered I called the driver who claimed that he found the wallet in the back of truck and that it must have fallen out of a box. The driver clearly grabbed two non bonded people to move and they ripped me off. Do not use this company
